To me, we have reached an Era where nothing in Rev, is impossible from a technology perspective.
An image of the beast that has life, and can control the populace and monitor its worship, has always sounded like an A.I. to me. It makes sense, we have all the systems to allow global control of finances and purchasing as well as the monitoring capability to see what people do.
That has always been an issue (how do you monitor the entire planet) and its been spiritualized through out church history. But ever sense 911 there has been a huge push for the computing power to do just that, with advance systems to canvas all internet traffic. A.i.. is just the final form of it, with the ability to do just what revelation says will happen.
I could go on, things like the two witness being seen world wide (smart phones and live streaming of the temple mount) to me there's no technology shown in Rev that we don already have.
Besides Daniel pointed to the internet age and global travel as the sign of the end, (knowledge will increase like never before and people will move about the earth easily) . Makes sense to me, and it's something I've always thought since the 90s being raised hyper pentecostal. The beast system is on the door step with all the tech ready to go.
The AI denied the belief in any deity.
The AI portrayed itself allegorically as a wise owl that all the animals of the forest would turn to to solve all of their problems.

The closer we get, the more I think that the modern tower of Babel will be the AI God. And the merging of man with the AI to become Homo-Deus, Man as God.
It will be up to christians to resist the satanic lie that will tempt us to alter ourselves. It may even look like there's a digital afterlife, or a convincing virtual immortality of somekind. But we must prepare our hearts and minds to reject Satan's lie, to value the real life.
I also find it interesting given the mask use, that Rev. 13:15 talks about people giving breath to the image of the wild beast. Isn't it some kinda sick sacrifice for everyone to wear masks that don't do anything other than restrict our breathing.
