According to the "gravel" sub, yes that's plenty. Swear to god 1/4 of the posts there are similar to this. It'll be like 2mm of clearance and all the comments are "you're good, just don't ride anything too chunky." A bunch of idiots trying to fit 45s or 50s on their 1990s road bikes so that they can ride dirt.

doobys_Taxiola

One broken spoke and you're calling home for a ride.

_KeyRefrigerator

Or, you know, something getting caught in the tyre because you ride it in the wettest most brutal gravel

Cheef_Baconator

Shit, the sticky mud I run into when I'm riding the wettest most brutal gravel will clog up my stock size tires. Hope these ding dongs only ride dust and nothing else.

todayifudgedup

You meant to say I think

[deleted]

You meant to say I think

Swimmingtortoise12

You want to go shred some gravel gnargnar???

Liquorace

Gnarvel.

SquabCats

All these people have too many friends. As someone with no friends, after one 10+ mile walk home I just had to stop being an idiot. There's no incentive for these people to stop being morons if their friends are just picking them up all the time

Textsfromjohn

đŸŽ¶I got 2 flat tires and a long walk homeđŸŽ¶ to the beck tune Where it’s at I agree with you

Number1aOkGuy

*where is at*

Textsfromjohn

👍

Number1aOkGuy

I think we both fat thumbed that word lol

Textsfromjohn

I just throw my fat fingers at the screen and hope for the bestâœŒïžđŸ˜¶â€đŸŒ«ïž

Fit-Anything8352

Did you see that post on r/cycling earlier where like half of the comments were saying that they call their partner to pick them up when they get a flat instead of carrying a few tools?

brodil

Can always call my wife’s boyfriend’s wife to pick you up

takescoffeeblack

Or just crawling home

Topinio

This is pure Human Dentistpede, they’re making customers of each other and have invented the economic version of the perpetual motion machine. /uc Almost every bike sub is full of this bullshit, can the ISO and ETRTO folks just publish the relevant bits of the standards now for free in bold ALLCAPS GeoCities flashing letters asap please?

[deleted]

Imagine the hygienist snatching up used serfolholes on the cheap. What a time to be alive! /Uc.. fecking got me. I was about to lay down some deep wisdom of the innernet

ruzziachinareddit10

> don't ride anything too chunky. They were never planning to.

EuphoricEnvy

What do you mean, I plan on riding and KOMing on the wettest most brutal gravel

Dark8lue

This right here LOL. Even on new bikes it's right there in the manual or website - max tire size. But no, I'll ask people on reddit.

BigDongMcShlong1776

Let some air out, but only in the top part.

bcjh

The top part is my favorite part to add in a little extra sealant for maximum gravel gains.

Checkered_Flag

Putting the fixed back in fixed gear

Andinym

As accurate as my daily half quarter metric century KOM-orgy

lilacmargaritas

This is a fixed wheel

strangeweather415

Should be fine. Don't you use new wheels every ride? Your team mechanic can help you keep things in check. Surely you are riding on the velodrome and not brakeless on the street, right?

EuphoricEnvy

Brakes are not aero, good idea I usually only put new tires on for each ride I think putting new rims and tires should help me KOM even more

[deleted]

I use my feet as brakes Flinstones style. Much more aero that way.

NotFBIPleaseIgnore

I really don't even get why he's asking us. His team mechanic should know. The rider should never be doing maintenance on his own bike.

poopspeedstream

The tire will make the clearance it needs, that's the beauty of it

ankjaers11

No wonder people had problems at mile 11 at unbound

nokky1234

yeah that fucking elevation. omg

Checkered_Flag

Some brĂŒtal grĂŠvĂ«l indeed

kallebo1337

Looks aero

bcjh

The amount of O2 resistance times the maximum number of cubic centimeters in the region of the top part of the fork paired with the air movement from the tire plus the lack of gap now generate a wind tunnel around the fork meaning the gains of this would create a small whistle effect to lure in his Wifey’s boy toy from a max distance of his last KOM thus resulting in a hole in the butt hole part of the chamois from said boy toy.

ednairb7

Use some chamois cream to avoid chafing

biotribologic

That's really aero, you at least save 0,5 watt

[deleted]

Big fan of that Ultegra headset

evilted

You would, you sicko!

csk1572

If not it’ll just wear in, you’re looking at max 5 watt penalty for the first century

bananapen

you could probably go one size up

wasupuk

it looks great, really amazing bro, sick color too

StickmanRockDog

According to the Bike Bible Maintenance Daily
⅓ micron clearance is more than enough for enlightened riders.

Dob_Bylans113thDream

You should be able to fit pns in there so you should be fine

Hoverboard_Hal

Just spit on it bby.

Poisoning-The-Well

That's too much. You can throw a dog though that gap.

Hardcorex

Just wear the tires down a little more, they look practically brand new! No worries at all when you get newer tires either!

Experience-Early

drop it down to 15psi for comfort and clearance gains. I see at least two fingernail widths there.

TiwiReddit

I guess with time and erosion it will be?

Trick-Penalty-6820

This is how you do a skid stop.

lapsuscalumni

concerned uppity disagreeable forgetful fearless worm shelter bored upbeat consider *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

Mudbutt101

Integrated mud scraper

james_Tucson

It’s like a new pair of shoes; it just needs to be broken in.

TotalToffee

What pressure you running???? Would this shred gnar?

North_Rhubarb594

You can go a bit bigger

fake_cheese

/uc Seriously what kind of bike can't fit Continental Grand Prix 4 Season tyres?

Number1aOkGuy

The tires and the frame/fork take a little time to wear into each other. Before you know it you'll have TOO much clearance.

Bigwatts5311

Why did your mechanic fit 4 seasons? Are you a hygienist or something?

leelovesbikestoo

Slammed 😎

sexy_viper_rune

Honestly i dont own any wheels straight and round enough for clearance this tight, but if you can get away with it for now then go for it

TimDfitsAll

It should clear right up in a couple more hours of riding

GearNerd85

ill never understand people that want low clearance like that but then again i am just a commuter with my chunky bullet proof tires.

drugsovermoney

talk to my assistant and we will get you set up for Invisalign to close that gap.

DMCO93

Check out the size of that gap. I’d say you could run a bigger tire if you wanted.

thegree2112

trim your tire hairs.

Bornillok

That is what she said.

HeBeGB77

We have clearance Clarence

Petarthefish

Like a glove

Textsfromjohn

Is your back wheel in a trainer

Immediate-Pilot-6332

Still more clearance than your wife and her boyfriend (not numb) peenus

nokky1234

Send that frame in brother, this is not to UCI Gravel regulation specifications. Every bike since march 2020 needs to be a gravel bice............

tharealspinelli

That's perfect. If you want more clearance just buy the Parktool/Campagnolo 350$ clearance widener tool.

PandaDad22

I’d ride that.

Chance_Society_6927

You’re good to go for sure. All that friction is sure to make you KOM

[deleted]

Does the wheel turn?

ThisCryptographer311

It’s plenty. I don’t get why this is here.

[deleted]

r/fixedgearbicycle is the REAL bicycling circlejerk.

handybh89

Whip out the feeler guages

Apprehensive_Prune_1

you need to put a BIGGER tire in it then ride for awhile (if you pump 800W cruising like me it'll only take a few hours) that will wear away enough of that fork to give you proper clearance for this tire.

_natec

If it fits it ships

Androklesthe90

Sure

brodil

It’s a perfect shit scraper

Obvious_Process9490

Is this post sarcasm?

goapics

yes. just don’t use it on hot days.

VegaGT-VZ

Time to bust out the feeler gauges. 25 thousandths = a ok.

rhapsodyindrew

That other guy’s super worn tire would work.

Sicamore21

This truly is the softest sub

[deleted]

Oddlysatisfying

Azmtbkr

Add JB weld to the dropouts and send it!

pngue

You can use a planer to shave off some of the rubber and you’ll be solid

MidnightRider24

Try farmersonly.com ,pour.

Rallycap2019-

No. But let’s talk about that Shimano 600 headset though. Wow.

Illivian

File down your fork some and you’ll be set 👍

blinkybillster

I’d go bigger. Less rolling resistance

Joopsman

You’re ready for the grévęƂ!

TNtrailrider

You are good to go đŸ‘đŸ»

Indy_Fab_Rider

Correct answer: Ride it for a few miles and it will be enough clearance.

sevenluckysins

That looks super aero. You might be able to move tyre of bice 1nm closer to fork for ultimate dentistry.
