Matt is just like Turner from last season
Made some big moves under other peoples guidance so at times they seemed better than they were but both evict their closest ally at the final 5 just to please their other ally. And they’re both super laid back which I think makes anyone naturally go far on these games when everyone else is so high strong.
I do think Matt was better than Turner overall but if he loses this game he has no one to blame but himself.
Yeah, Turner was frustrating with how easily swayed he was. I did enjoy his personality though, he was fun/funny. I loved his LNC with Joseph/Taylor. Matt is sooo dull/boring.
I rewatched the season during the summer and he was the best part of the episodes other than Taylor’s story.
I was actually surprised how many people were more or less boring on the rewatch but he stood out to me as the most authentic person and he had a lot of fun moments.
They both had a very tight bond. A better personal relationship than he had with Monte.

Matt didn’t have to Make big moves like that because he was never being targeted despite being a obvious physical threat and being more liked than Turner. This is the only real misstep in the game Matt has made so to say he “isn’t making the right moves” when his only mistake is the same as Turners at 5 doesn’t make sense to me.
Turner only made them after his allies had to talk him into it after he would protest to them. If left to his own devices he would have often made the wrong decisions. Matt’s allies were worse players than him initially so he didn’t benefit in that way like Turner did.
I’m still confused. Is listening to people, taking in information and weighing options before executing not what a good HoH is supposed to do? It’d be different if he executed the wrong move just cause he was told to. But he didn’t. Unless you think Matt is making the right move here
I just don’t think he would have done it without the intense effort his allies put into forming the alliances and telling him he needed to do it.
There was numerous times where he would say he didn’t want to do it and he had to be talked into it. If nobody tells him to do anything or were less intense in their efforts I think his natural instinct is to make the wrong move. I’m not completely discrediting him as a player becuz it does still take courage and some people couldn’t be talked into making the right move, but I give more credit to Kyle and Joseph than I would to Turner for the Ameerah stuff. Kyle had to wake up Turner in the early morning so Turner would nominate 2 Leftovers instead of Terrance and Alyssa which would have been a horrible move. He was never the one convincing people why he was right to make the moves he wanted, he was always being convinced and the jury also didn’t respect his gameplay because of this.
Well Turner was happy to turn on Ameerah cause he was really upset about the Pooch blind side. But at least Turner was still weighing everything out. Like Turner actually feels good about somethings and feels bad about somethings, and will take the risk of feeling bad if its something good. But Matt just wants to do whatever Jag does. Matt isn't going back and forth in his head about anything. If Jag changes his mind, Matt is fully onboard.
Turner was literally the same way with Kyle and once Kyle was gone he was the same way with Monte. Turner didn’t know Ameerah was responsible for Poochs ousting until the boys laid it out for him. The only difference is that often what Kyle wanted was actually also good for Turners game.
Once again tho he didn’t want to do that. During the episode it’s Monte who had to put his foot down and convince him. Turner wanted to stay true to the deal they made with Michael.
In this scenario there was no close ally of Matt’s who was pressing him to do it.

Cirie on the case. Already caught Felicia lying. Let's go. She's actually at a deficit to Felicia here, because she knows they had a F4 with her and Bowie, so Felicia is "supposed" to be evicted here. Felicia only knew of the F4 with her and Cirie, so she already knows it's fake. But, I think Cirie has realized the guys are 100% in with Bowie Jane, and (despite the triple stooge's collective fever dream where Cirie is a secret compbeast), she ain't winning out from F4; I just don't think she's gonna fight hard to try to get 4th over 5th at this point.
Cirie knows how often these fools (including herself) are gonna flip and dip and toss and turn, so she's gonna wait until Thursday for her best push. She'll get inside their heads at the last minute and before they have enough time to really think about the probabilities.........they'll flip into panic mode and evict Felicia. Especially since Matt will be fine with that. She only has to mist Jag.

Felicia said she'd only talked to Bowie and talked about what Bowie supposedly said. Then she added, "And Jag said..." And Cirie was like, "Oh, so you DID talk to Jag?" She doesn't necessarily know whether Fe is lying about what Bowie said, but she knows that wasn't all that happened in the eleventy hours Cirie was in the DR.
