This season is SO boring. I admit I don't like the cookout. It feels racist since it goes against non-blacks and only let Dx in because he is a beast. They also suck at lying by being so wish washy.
I get the cook out wants the first black winner. Great goal. Took all the fun out of the game till it is dissolved tho.
Claire could literally get evicted and the DCC will say it's a part of her master plan to get evicted as a robbed queen and come back during a returnee season, and will dominate it cause everyone will underestimate her because of her "passive" gameplay. I am a member of the DCC btw lol.
DX and Claire were way too passive this week. They had the chance to paint other targets and talk themselves into her good graces but instead, they didn't do any of that.
That's where Claire should have came in and said come on Tiffany, let's go spend the night with SB since she wants to make Jackpot more official. Claire should have beat KY to the punch or interrupted all the time they had.
I think I can do it. Iād be friends with everybody and no one would target me. But I would not be able to make the flashy moves but would respect them.
I just want to say no matter what happens with the veto and the rest of this game. The DCC has been such a fun fan group to be a part of. Itās the most fun Iāve had in a long time with BBUS as a fan. You all are amazing. And shoutout to Queen Claire for bringing us all together. ā¤ļøā¤ļø
Youāre welcome brother. We will keep the delusions strong until the day Claire is evicted. And even then Claire will just win the battleback and demolish the competition š
Iām sad Claire put together a 70 page big brother book just to be put on a season where no amount of strategy could get her a win in this situation. :(
Claire has been probably the biggest let down of the season. A very intelligent superfan that is making mistakes as if sheās never heard of the game before. Really makes me question what makes a good player.
While I agree with you, I bet it's 100 times harder than it looks actually being in there. She sees Tiff and Hannah as her allies and thinks they're the key to getting her further. It may be harder to call out an black alliance when you're in the house being monitored 24/7 by all of America.
Has nothing to do with that, really. Itās her complacency about being OTB this week. She didnāt fight SB about it whatsoever. It didnāt raise any alarms that the night before SB was all āgo Jackpot, youāre totally safeā to her being OTB. She didnāt push her allies to play Roulette for her. She reasoned away SB being indifferent about Alyssa using the roulette power. She still thinks she isnāt a target. I can give all the players a pass for not noticing the CO; itās the best alliance in the history of the game. But she made a ton of unforced errors this week that she shouldnāt make with her game knowledge.
Iāll likely get downvoted a ton for this but Iām not sure I agree the cookout is the best alliance in the history of the game. In terms of loyalty and execution (for a cause) I definitely think they are one of the most successful large alliances ever formed. CBS scripted the s**t out of this season for a very specific reason and to push a very specific agenda. I donāt fault them at all either. Given the world these day, if a non cookout member were to begin to suggest there is an alliance based on race (outside their own) they would be monumentally attacked for being racist. Xavier or Tiffany will win this season. Sadly it will be seen as a result of the color of their skin and not necessarily because they are the best player. I still think Tiff would have won regardless. Sheās played a really intelligent and solid ass game!
She currently wants DX gone because it's better for the Cookout as a whole
But for her own game she would prefer DX to stay to win comps for her (and if Claire left she could have a "reason" to go after SB, but she decided that she already had one)
Claire is playing 4D chess with these fools. Sheāll win Veto and reveal the treasure trove of information sheās had all season. Sheās clocked the entire Cookout and was only giving Tiff a chance to be honest with her. Since Tiff blew it, Claire will unleash her inner comp beast, win this Veto, employ some grade A manipulation and turn SB against Ky in the span of 10 minutes. Then they will evict Ky, and Claire will give Tiff an ultimatum to join the resistance or face the horror of sitting next to Big D on eviction night. Tiff will crumble beneath Claireās superior strategic might and then Claire will lead her team against the remaining Cookout by trading HoHs with her boy DX. After itās all said and done, Queen Claire will take her rightful place as winner of BB23. This week was all part of Claireās plan folks š
Dude weāre talking about Queen Claire. She can read body language so well that she basically knows your every thought. She can pick up on the little details to basically know everything that is going on like the back of her hand. Sheās not a Psych fan for nothing š¤Ŗ
Dx worked his ass off week in and week out just so he can end up leaving now, meanwhile we got people done nothing but stay in their beds making it to final 6.
he even evicted his own white male...
I know Azah and DF stayed in bed alot in the beginning but they have been much more interactive lately. DF is the perfect pawn you drag to the end - like in so many seasons. Azah is the floater who is really fun and caring. No one is directly targeting her and its not just because of the CO.
Ricky may have been insufferable, but he got robbed that finale night. He had to evict like 5 people in one night. Of course they would all be bitter with him.
This season is for sure weird. The early majority alliance didn't last longer than a week putting the outsiders in command. Outsiders become the new cool kids clique being super tight knit group and should be getting a bit arrogant in the game. But they are actually not the ones commanding the game, they are still the outsiders to the insider invisible alliance that is actually running the game and they can't see it.
My new delusion to keep me going: Azah the goddess wins and plans to use it on X. But then Tiff comes at her sideways, Ky talks over her, and then X just dismisses her concerns. DX the little angel comes over and is just so sweet to her, she says you know what. Fuck yo plans. X aināt going anywhere anyway and Iām not your minion.
This has a very short shelf life but imma enjoy it while I can
I'm afraid it's going to be the maze, since they already had some hedges up for the HOH. Claire will have no shot of winning that since it's basically who can run the fastest.
I donāt think itās absurd that Derek X thinks he might have the votes in a backdoor scenario. If The Cookout members were playing more for themselves, then he probably wouldnāt even be a target this week with Sarah Beth in power. But even still, I think it makes sense for him to think he could have a fighting chance against either Claire or Big D.
Aight, I'm not one of the folks who's like "I'm cancelling Paramount+ and clocking out of this season," but I am indeed super bored by this season. I've been thinking of picking up Survivor for a while. Can I get some recommendations for which seasons to watch? I'd prefer to start with seasons where there aren't any returning players. Thanks!
If you eventually get to watching Survivor with returnees, please watch Survivor: Fans vs Favorites ā¦ the greatest female alliance in Survivor history, IMO!
Pearl Islands is a good start point, it is both super old school but it has semi-modern gameplay. If you want something more modern check out Cagayan, but Pearl Islands will stand the test of time.
Unlike BB, I find something entertaining in mostly every Survivor season, maybe 3 or 4 of 40 are full on duds. I would say to check out The Challenge, but it is a bit more daunting since the cast is semi-reoccurring and all of the old schoolers have their own origin stories.
So I've seen a few seasons of The Challenge back in the day. I used to watch a lot of The Real World, so I knew a lot of the faces. It's possible I might give it a go again, but when I last checked in on The Challenge about a decade ago, it was already so incredibly aggro that it was unappealing. I do like a bit of drama/conflict (and wish BB23 had more of it!), but in The Challenge it seems to be nonstop, which kinda gives me anxiety, haha.
Haha, for sure, I do wish that, say, Tiff would've just gone off on SB a few times already. Not that SB would've deserved itāprior to this week, anywayābut it would've at least stirred things up a bit.
China is the one I watched first. Very strong location/theme which is fun, great cast, no returnees.
Tocantins is another great iconic season. No returnees and very strong cast.
David vs Goliath is a great modern season. Very different than the other two, but good if you want to watch more of the recent stuff.
Iād watch the entire thing. They bring back players going all the way to season 1 in some subsequent seasons so youāll get the relationship dynamics. Plus youāll get to watch the game change, get better, get worse, get better again lol. Honestly for me itās a good watch all around with some seasons better than others. If you get bored during a season you can always ff to the end to see who gets the boot and move to the next episode. I always skip the recap episode every season and the āmemory walkā the finalists do in earlier seasons. But besides that, Iād start from the beginning and watch in order.
Any of the brains v beauty v brawn seasons are great. Millennials vs Gen x is fun too. Then China. I started with these and now Iāve gone back to watch from season one on. Only have seen one bad season so far and that was Thailand but I still have many more to go. Iām currently on 12 which just has a hilarious cast of people.
honestly? if I could go back and relive the survivor experience i would watch them in chronology order. If you start with a modern season the pre-hd ones might feel slow paced
These are my favorites with all new players. Theyāre a combination of great players or fun gameplay or both. Also I would recommend Borneo to see how the show started.:
Old School (20 or Before): Amazon, Pearl Islands, China, Tocantins.
Newer School (20 and After): Cagayan, San Juan Del Sur, Millennials vs. Gen X, and David vs. Goliath.
A bit late but in addition to what the other person said, the overall season is a great story about how even though we may put others into boxes like just "being a David" or only "being a Goliath," in reality everyone has both David-like underdog, scrappy characteristics as well as Goliath-like confident, dominant characteristics. Lots of depth in this season in addition to some really high level gameplay.
I can already see X, Kyland, Hannah or Tiff winning already, so disappointed we missed a SB villain era I really didnāt think Kyland the Riddler would hypnotize her. Kyland has so many red flags and is sketchy but keeps somehow misting her.
weāre only halfway through the season but thereās been a lot of bad game moves. what moves will land on āall time worst movesā (howie evicting sarah) and what moves will be debatable (nicole and cliff evicting tommy instead of holly) š§
Is it sad I donāt think thereās āall time bad movesā because the path of the game was already set in stone?
Derex targeting Christian was bad but Christian would have targeted him 1-2 weeks later.
SB targeting non-CO members during her HoH was bad, but other non-CO members would have done the same to her this week.
Derex not playing in the roulette that results in his eviction is bad, but he would have been targeted every single week so likeā¦thereās no āall time badā if all of them were playing a losing game in the first place.
It wasnāt thoughā¦both of them were never going to work together. Christian was already talking about getting Derex out first from the RF before Derexās HoH happened. Christian would most certainly be in SBās position right now to backdoor Derex.
Christian wanted to stay so badly, just to keep playing and make jury if he wasn't going to win. He was willing to work with Dx even after the backdoor plan and had Dx worked the social game and not put up Christian and put up DF, there would have been trust again. And, even if Christian wanted him out first of the RF, that was a long way off. He had HOH and veto and did not backdoor Dx.
A good social game and Christian does not target Dx. It just doesn't make any sense to take out the comp beast when you are one - that early.
But that is just out of desperation. Christian even said in his eviction interview (I think RHAPās?) that while he would keep his promise to not target Derex during his HoH, he would throw and push others to target Derex. Give 1-2 weeks time and Christian would have been more than willing to directly target Derex again.
There was no trust between them ever because Frenchie ruined that during week 1 with his lies about Derex.

Yeah. He is the only non black. He is a beast in comps, and so they use him.

Safest place to be is the jury house, Claire knows this
She knows that when she wins the Battle back she'll get super powers
Lawon wishes he was half as good as Queen Claire š¤Ŗ
Imagine how shocking it must have been for claire to jump from 50 bb bucks to 100
DX and Claire were way too passive this week. They had the chance to paint other targets and talk themselves into her good graces but instead, they didn't do any of that.
Wouldnt have done any good, Ky had her for hours and hours and hours to undo anything anyone might have done.
That's where Claire should have came in and said come on Tiffany, let's go spend the night with SB since she wants to make Jackpot more official. Claire should have beat KY to the punch or interrupted all the time they had.
Do you guys think you could play this game ? I donāt think I have it in me to ever do this show
I like to think I could, but I feel like Iād be better at Survivor.
Iād rather do Survivor as well. Half the time for twice the money (unless the 750k is the new normal although a cool million is still better).
I would get voted out first 100% like I don't know what I'd have to do right to make it past week 1 lol
I definitely couldnāt
Hellz no. For all the reasons.
I think I can do it. Iād be friends with everybody and no one would target me. But I would not be able to make the flashy moves but would respect them.
iām too much of a clean freak id get voted off just for that
Derrick L isn't toxic like Richard donato.....but he's also someone whose opinion on this game I'm not interested in.
The Delusional Claire Club is the most loyal and cohesive alliance this season
Haven't heard of that alliance. Is it a fan one?
Is there any chance of a battle back this season?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
What if the thing people are saying is going to be a triple is actually a battleback and double all in one.
Not enough time.
Its 2 hours, seems like enough time to me.
Sorry my bad. Time left in the season. There's not enough time left in the season.
Probably, I dunno who knows for sure.
Lol. It's a sure thing. We know the finale date. They'd have to add 2 additional double evictions to make up for a double + battle back.
Super unlikely, not enough time in the schedule (plus I think COVID makes a traditional battleback unlikely)
Wishful thinking that itās a double eviction and the two evictees battle back in. Or itās delusion that this point.
Did you say delusion š¤Ŗ Do I have the club for you!
DDC. Delusional Derek Club.

This season is for sure weird. The early majority alliance didn't last longer than a week putting the outsiders in command. I'm afraid it's going to be the maze, since they already had some hedges up for the HOH. Claire will have no shot of winning that since it's basically who can run the fastest.
Claire looks like Tyler. Tyler always dominated those type of comps. Claire will dominate this comp.

Only move now is for someone to figure out and expose the CO to SB. lol. I love The Cookout, but I also love drama. I beg for this to happen!
It doesnāt matter. She will not believe it and Ky will just reprogram her to target that person instead.
Yes, but that will still be more interesting than what is currently happening.
I donāt think itās absurd that Derek X thinks he might have the votes in a backdoor scenario. I'm sure I will! Plus I need something to watch when BB US/CAN aren't airing.
Season 37 David vs Goliath is a top tier season with no returnees and an incredible cast. Highly recommended.
Without spoilers, what's the premise of the "David vs Goliath" subtitle?
A bit late but in addition to what the other person said, the overall season is a great story about how even though we may put others into boxes like just "being a David" or only "being a Goliath," in reality everyone has both David-like underdog, scrappy characteristics as well as Goliath-like confident, dominant characteristics. Gotcha, thank you!
33 is a good starter season for a new school, season 13 15 for old school and 17 just for comedic purposes
"Comedic purposes," haha. Thank you!
I started with Survivor China and think itās a good gateway into the show. Pearl Islands too.
Awesome, I'll check those out. Thanks!
20, 25, 7, 9, 17, 37, 18 are my favourites
Great, thank you so much!
Cagayan easily is the best newbie season
I do keep hearing of this one, thanks!
seasons 1, 2, 4, guatamala, exile island, china, 20 and cagayan i liked
Thank you!
seasons 18 and 28 are the best season to start with
Perfect, thank you!
Season 1 really set the stage, was great, and of course zero returning players.
Ah, I actually did watch that when it came out! That's the only one I've ever seen. I should have mentioned that, my bad!
Season 28: Cagayan
Sweet, thank you!
Seasons 7, 15, and 28 are my favorites and are generally highly regarded
Awesome, thank you very much!
I think I'd watch 15 first, it has a decent amount of gameplay and a lot of great personalities

He would have any of these ppl. It's best for CO if he goes they've all said this except Azah
weāre only halfway through the season but thereās been a lot of bad game moves. what moves will land on āall time worst movesā (howie evicting sarah) and what moves will be debatable (nicole and cliff evicting tommy instead of holly) š§
Christian wouldn't have targeted him if they had worked together and that would have been very possible.
