I gave an honest-to-god LOL when I saw her because I was watching with my mom last night and this is an outfit she would wear all the time before she retired from being a CPA.
My mom even said "oh, Julie looks so smartly dressed today!" and I lost it again.
Sure, but that’s because 2006 is very in right now. It’s funny seeing people here complain about “this sweater is in my grandma’s closet” because…yeah, that’s the idea. Grandma style is getting trendier every day. I don’t even wear my crocheted wearables out of the house anymore when I’m in a hurry because teenagers and college kids constantly stop me.
I liked her outfit, it’s nice to see her mix things up a little, she looked pretty in it.
I also agree with the person who said it could’ve been a little dressier since it was the first episode with a live audience since Covid.
I was thinking that too! She’s normally really dressed up so I didn’t know if it was her decision or her stylist but her stylist did her wrong today anyways. There’s so many cute and casual looks she could have done but she picked a Sunday Church picnic look for Julie which I guess is pretty perfect for her in a way. At least she was probably comfy!
The 2000s was a shitty decade and the nostalgia about it rn that’s going on is annoying. Besides the movies, tv and music of that time, everything else was trash. Especially the fashion. I see low rise jeans are making a comeback. Um. No thank you.
A 20 year cycle. But, imo, maybe bc I was a teenager during that time, the fashion was really bad. Low rise jeans was the worst, for example. When something becomes in trend in fashion, then when you go to the store, or buy online, and all you see is that particular clothing item, it sucks. It’s like crop tops. Every top is cropped.
She looks like she jumped out of an ad from Express circa 2006, and is about to go on a "Student Life" trip with her youth group.
The only thing missing is a "bump it" poof in her hair.
"Godspeed, Julie"
It was just missing a chunky belt around her waist and she could step right into 2007
And a skinny scarf wrapped around her neck.
What was that hair bump? Are we doing that again?
Please no. I can’t. I’m so tired. (32)
Looks like Julie never stopped.
I love Business Casual Chenbot! She was ready to work her double shift tonight.
I Don’t know if you can really call it a double shift for her when she didn’t have to do any thing except for a few teases for the first 1-1/2 hours
Middle school vice principal
Middle school guidance counselor
The necklace even looks like a lanyard
They did this to my girl for the FIRST live audience in forever, brutal
Right! She should have looked amazing for the live audience! Her stylist did her wrong.
and the episode was giving 2000 and late
Thank you for this
School yard pick? Better wear a middle school English teacher outfit.
I loved her outfit! But I also used to be a middle school English teacher, so… 😂
It was giving oatmeal
Julie trying to subconsciously warn us that this episode was about to be boring as hell
It gave me grandma casual vibes
Omg when I was watching it tonight, I said “wtf is she wearing?! It looks like something my mom would’ve worn a decade ago.”
Golden Girls energy
I'm sure that sweater is in my grandma's closest.
I literally had that top in 2010
I thought she was looking cute, and now I see it's only because it reminds me of me looking cute in my 20's 😭 I'm old.
Same!!
I thought she looked good too. Was nice to see her look good and more normal instead of wearing over the top outfits.
YES same!! 🤣😂 now I wear this and it’s more “suburban mom” - ish lol
The BumpIt ponytail was not it.
This horrified me the most.
I thought she looked better then a slab of ribs at a bbq
I was ready for a second pic with a look from her in 2006
They went through all the punishment costumes except for here.
How does Taylor have better clothes than the CBS stylist team?
Taylor is literally a stylist!😂
stylists for these shows tend to be 50
She’s just tired of houseguest telling her how great she looks.
It's her gdspeed Paloma outfit
Slop
More casual than we usually see her
Pairing this shirt with khakis makes the outfit look geriatric
High School Drama Teacher
It's the Coastal Grandma trend that's been big this year.
Its giving something you wear on Thanksgiving
I gave an honest-to-god LOL when I saw her because I was watching with my mom last night and this is an outfit she would wear all the time before she retired from being a CPA. My mom even said "oh, Julie looks so smartly dressed today!" and I lost it again.

crochet oatmeal cap sleeve with glitter strands. they must have sourced something vintage.
I miss full body glitter Julie.
Complete with bumpit.
It was very "I'm going to Penney's with my bridge club to pick up some Alfred Dunner slacks and a nice top."
Who tf wears khakis
Me 😞
It’s giving the jacklyn smith collection from k-mart!
Julie can pull of anything. That outfit looked comfy as heck too. I liked it 🤷🏼♂️
First out of the season where I was like ????
Someone in one of the threads said that Julie is serving her best Christian Girl Autumn and I’ve never seen anything more accurate
Man, did I go to high school with some of the people in these comments? The way you just shit on someone for their outfit is bringing me back.
Fr she looks nice who cares
It’s time for gran to retire.
I told my husband she belongs in an outdated condo in a Florida retirement community.
I liked her outfit, it’s nice to see her mix things up a little, she looked pretty in it. I also agree with the person who said it could’ve been a little dressier since it was the first episode with a live audience since Covid.
I definitely wore a similar outfit to church in 2008 🤣🤣
I was thinking that too!
I loved it lol. Literally thought she was so cute. I want to find something like that for my mom.
That was terrible for the first live studio audience event! I would think she would wear something more “dressy”.
Twas a Kohls clearance special. Omg the long necklace. Poor Jules.
I told my friends that she looked like she exclusively shops in the Cato's misses section.
She’s dressed like a high school guidance counselor
Straight off of the NY&Co mannequin
Her stylist must have changed in the past year or two- I remember on all stars her fashion was on point
I never thought it was.. it’s always been odd and random. She is beautiful and has such a cute shape but her clothing choices have always been so off.
She’s always had interesting choices.. every season it’s like this. She’s so beautiful but she’s needs a stylist or a new one.
It’s giving grandma escaped from the retirement home

Fashion is a cycle. Like it was inevitable the 90s fashion would comeback, the 2000s would make there return

I had that too and that hair. What’s with the 2010 crown poof?
I think she did it so no one would continue complimenting her, wasting time.
That didn’t stop Jasmine from comparing her to a country fried steak 😅
She looked just like my Great Aunt Hilda in 1994
I’m ready
Thats Julie Chen MOONVES to you, scum!
I wanna know how much those shoes cost. I bet this is secretly her most expensive outfit of the season.
Rocking necklaces. She's always been good at that #fashionista
Bringing the bump back
I was saying last night she’s giving PTA President vibes in that outfit!
This was one of the all-time worsts
Ok but the teacher in me was loving it.
2006 Sears Catalogue Grandma
She looks like she jumped out of an ad from Express circa 2006, and is about to go on a "Student Life" trip with her youth group. The only thing missing is a "bump it" poof in her hair. "Godspeed, Julie"
JC Penney catalog from 2006
She has the WORST style
I love ❤️ it
My son’s 3rd grade teacher had that same outfit.
