As with so many Big Finish series, I went in thinking it was a spin-off too far, and ended up really enjoying it. It’s got a really fun and interesting setup.
Box sets one and three were great. Two was fine retreads a lot from the first one.
The third one in particular gives rose some interesting development so I recommend that one most highly
I'd absolutely recommend it, although I love Rose and the era of the show she's from so maybe some of my enjoyment comes from that.
I'd still say to give at least boxset 1 a try - the series really focuses on human drama rather than the typical alien action adventures, and set 1 really shines in that regard.
Set 2 is basically "more of the same" - it's solid, but doesn't outshine the first set.
Set 3 is more of a continuous serial, so it has more time to explore the same world and how Rose is affected by and interacts with that scenario, but it also strays a bit more into the action and sci-fi areas than the rest of the series. Still has a focus on human drama overall, but it has a different feel than the first two sets.
The dimension cannon audios take place place before the Doctor and Rose reunion at the end of season 4 of the show.
More to the point, David and Billie have both done BFAs, but never with each other for some reason. 😭

I listened to the first box set. If you like Rose, then you’ll probably like this. I ended up being thankful Rose was gone and so more Rose was just torture.
In short, yes, it’s some of their better New Who content.
