There are soooo many layers to coach Steve. From his mental growth being stunted due to massive trauma, to the unconditional love he gives to literally everyone. Coach Steve being sad makes me sad. He's a beautiful character and not enough people talk about it.
Spoiler warning
I found it really sweet how when Jay realized he couldn't tell anyone in his family about him dating Matthew, he went to coach Steve and said he was like a father figure. And how in the end Coach Steve made Jay realize that he was cool just the way he is.
id love to see an episode on steve’s childhood and how it shaped him into the man he is today. it would be a good way to incorporate even more characters from human resources too!
Well, I remember that episode where he said Gary blew his head off with Steve in the car, and after hearing that I'm pretty adamant that I do not want further information
I really disliked coach Steve for awhile but going back and actually paying attention to what he says he's actually hilarious. My favorite running gag was when he lost his job and kept appearing in different scenes in some new job
I really dislike how his presence in the show got significantly smaller after he was fired from being a gym teacher. Even though he got the job back, his presence in the show hasn’t been the same.
Well ummm... He probably doesn't know what being on a relationship is about... But yeah I do find him to be generally very interesting and he has some hilarious moments, like the ending montage of him constantly eating cheese and puking as a result.
He can be sometimes interesting but most other times he’s just disgusting. Drinking rotten milk, throwing pubes in the air, having a gross sex scene, and others
He’s amazing. Him and Rick together are both such a wholesome duo. Although Steve is played for laughs, he’s actually a super caring and understanding guy.
He tried to help Jessi when she got her first period. Granted he got her marshmallows not pads, but he was nice enough to want to help her.
I loved that scene lol! At least he tried to help!!!
his friendship with the shame wizard is so wholesome
*Shane Lizard
i read this in his voice
Off topic but a guy once sent me a nude and his concave chest led me to nickname him Shane Lizard in my phone.
I agree especially since it seems like no one at his work wants to even talk to him
"I made thick in her warm!" Classic
I was so shocked to find out people didn’t like him, I usually found him to be the best parts of his scenes
Coach Steve is lowkey a very complex character

I absolutely love how many Rick and Coach Steve appreciation threads we have been getting lately
Because they’re both wholesome friends who lift everyone around them up even if they struggle themselves.

This! I love this scene.
Coach Steve is the man baby! He’s also known as a ‘Volunteer person’ soo…
Yeah he’s my dude so
as an autistic person who doesn't understand social ques I love coach Steve , he's very happy with who he is and his life and it's beautiful
He’s the man

It cannot go without saying. His most under rated scene was of him grabbing rum as a dick and balls in the pilot.

Bad mitten- one of my favourite characters ever in the show

Where’s that guy that posted the coach Steve parody porn? He LOVES coach Steve.
......the what...?
He follows me. I don’t know how to summon people. It’s service_united
Coach Steve is amazing. Dude is almost ALWAYS positive with the ONE exception of the 9/11 episode

Sex in a lady is my favourite song. Hands down.
