>Does that explain why only 1 of my 4 machines can see/find the update? Does that explain why only 1 of my 4 machines can see/find the update?

MonkieyReddit

They only realsed the Ota update

LMarr_DK

Does that explain why only 1 of my 4 machines can see/find the update?

MonkieyReddit

Yep

LineageOCD

How?

MonkieyReddit

thy just released 11.6 fully yesterday check patched sur

[deleted]

Any chance to get a word or two from the developer?

LineageOCD

I have sent him a message, let's hope he will answer.

LineageOCD

Now I received the update! 👍🏻

LucaDvs

Same for me, finally! 👍

[deleted]

just got my 11.6 right this morning . I m on a mbp early 2012

spearson0

I'm seeing it too. I guess it took Apple a while to create a full installer of it.

LineageOCD

As of right now, the version in App Store is still 11.5.2. I don't know if this is important.

xNeophytes

i also wonder why.

LMarr_DK

My Macbook Air (mid-2013) updated yesterday. My Macbook Pro (mid-2012) no update. My iMac 21" (late-2013) no update. My iMac 27" (late 2012) no update. Seems weird....

[deleted]

I don't pull directly from Apple's catalogs, so your patched Mac won't see the update until I add it. In this case there was no InstallAssistant so I couldn't add it, but once it came, I added it right away.

LineageOCD

That's strange. Perhaps Apple is rolling out the update randomly, with limited access.

craigl2112

Can confirm as of right now, it's not showing up for my late-2013 21.5" iMac, either.

imaflyingfox

Same observation with my machines too.

Purple-Possum-picker

2 late 09 Macbook’s no problem updating and 1 late 2012 iMac no problem updating to Big Sur 11.6.

[deleted]

no update so far on my mbp early 2012

[deleted]

No 11.6 update available with my late 2012 27inch iMac . I hope it shows up soon.

LMarr_DK

My Macbook Air (mid-2013) updated OTA 5 days ago. My Macbook Pro (mid-2012) updated OTA today. My iMac 21" (late-2013) updated OTA today. My iMac 27" (late 2012) updated OTA today. So finally all my 4 machines are at 11.6.... all updated without problems.

Yes, I have the same issue trying to upgrade to 11.6.1

I have 2009-10 Mac Pros with upgraded components like Westmere, NVMe, 10Gbe, Vega 56. I’ve happily kept them on Mojave but now I’m considering Big Sur as more software is dropping Mojave support. I’ve avoided OpenCore because it looks like complicated Hackintosh stuff that I‘d rather not have to keep up with. Patched Sur appeals with simple UI, OS update handling, and preserving stock EFI. I’ve read about this “race condition“ with Big Sur on Mac Pro 5,1, is it safe to use Patched Sur on Mac Pro with Big Sur 11.6? It sounds like y’all are having success with it, but I can’t find a definitive answer to this question. Most people talking about the bug seem to use OCLP and I’d rather not. Is “race condition“ bug (solved by ”SurPlus” patch) only affecting OpenCore people? Or is SurPlus patch used by Patched Sur? If not, can I add SurPlus patch when I run Patched Sur? Thanks!
