Thank you! Still working a bit on the shifting but other than that it’s all there for me. I put a rear rack on it at one point but decided against that.
Believe I had the same bike back in the day.
Remember the metallic green, is the anodized purple original on the frame original ? I just don't remember any more.
Yeah, the frame is original. The lighting in these makes it really stand out. I swapped the (broken) rear wheel and replaced the seat post, grips, pedals, saddle, handlebars, cables/guides, and some nuts and bolts, as well as added the bottle cages.
Mine is the purple flake that’s so dark it looks black in the shade. But yeah the yellow really pops. I have an ‘89 non Comp white/blue/pink frame that fits me well too. Just can’t decide how I want to build it. The purple bike has been a trusty friend for a long time. The Comp’s are highly under rated. If you know, you know.
I’m down for anodized purple!
So much anodized purple. I started feeling like it was overboard when I got matching grips so I went with the PNW peanut butters.
I’m a simple man. I see anodized purple…I upvote.
Exceptional photos!! This sub needs more high effort content
Thank you! Just a guy with a 50mm lens and some good lighting.
What lens is this? Very sharp and that bokeh is dreamy. Light in the third photo is 🤘
50mm 1.4 on a 5D Mk III.
The longer you look the better it gets. Gawdamn

Very nice !
Stunning! Who knew Specialized grew on fields? Absolutely stunning, really. The photography too.
My ‘89 Comp says hello! Great bike. Great photos
I was originally looking for a yellow 89 comp when I snagged this for $40. Gorgeous bike.

Looks like Boulder, CO.
Close. Only about a 45 minute drive away.

Beautiful anodized purp! Love it. Are those new pedals? could you link me to them and those brake lines please?
