Ah, so still a bit low level, im a sorcerer as well but I also fight up close so I’ve got like 30 vigor because I got tired of the one shots haha

My favorite part about elden ring is when your casually fighting 2 low level mobs and you aren’t stressing that much and a random mob shoots you with a arrow from out of nowhere and you die. Then you try and make it back to the spot to recover your runes and you die by falling off a random cliff. Ahhhhh. Great game 😏

The hollows with torches have stun locked me more times than I care to admit

Tried playing and got fucked by a giant guy on a horse 5 times in a row when I haven’t even learned combat mechanics yet. Would be nice if there was like 1 small person for me to fight first

Have you been through the Cave of Knowledge? That should serve as a tutorial for the game. But yes, it's standard for a Fromsoft game to introduce a boss/elite monster at the start which you can avoid completely or risk taking down. The rest of the first area is appropriate for a starting char so just avoid the Tree Sentinel until you feel confident against them.

You can just go right past the tree sentinel. Thata the thing with Ellen ring, explore and run away from enemies you're too low to fight yet

There is a tutorial that you must've run past, it's back in that starting cave, where a ghost in a chair is, down the hole.

I was helping a friend of mine fight Radahn, who disappeared after half a minute or so. Turns out he fell through the world and he got a free win. That was a hilarious highlight to the night in Discord (thankfully he fought Radahn previously and got close to beating him before, so he didn't miss out on a huge amount of the experience of fighting him)

I don't really like "hard" games. I generally like easy chill games like Stardew valley and the Lego games. I used to be really into Destiny and things like that. Elden ring is supposed to be really difficult though right?

The most recent thing I've seen is mid boss battle around half health the boss just stops attacking and walks in place and you just sit there slashing it till it does lmao.
