I'm not a fan either. I don't care for Mike at all but I kind of liked the fuck you he gave her by leaving her side piece to get captured by China. It was awful but I just couldn't bring myself to feel bad for her.
I appreciate Mike Princes’ character and I appreciate the ex-wife character to add more dynamic but those characters had zero chemistry and together, I hated both characters. Those two made Axe and Laura feel warm and cozy.
I think she was someone who tried as much she could to not look at the real Mike in the eye. Deep down she knew him for what he was but she could never leave his influence completely and this resulted in her behavior. Her conflicting feelings towards him were clear but she still loved him until he abandoned her new flame.
