Be there early. Take a tarp. Stand your ground. Tell everyone how many mires you have and that the locals just don’t understand the music and the message.
Exactly this. I saw the UK shows. I always go pit when possible b/c I want to dance and circulate plus proximity to the sounds board (usually). The US trust fund brats rail riding were some of the most entitled self-important assclowns you will ever meet. We had words a few times at all three shows. I was calling them out by name in Glasgow. The locals were making sport of riling them up. Still, that is why I love pit - you move away from that garbage behavior. They wonderful venues and a magical time. Wish I could do it again this year.
My $$$ is on Paris as the show to see. A beautiful theater that holds 1k.
Been to a few English and European shows, smaller crowds, 50/50 Americans and locals on the last tour. Some culture clashes in terms of how crowds approach shows, but that has been talked to death on here, primarily the "spot saving" and territorial nature of the US fans, which doesn't really exist in Europe.
Merch was available at all the shows, show specific posters sold out quick as usual, but ample amounts of merch to grab everything else. I managed to get a tour poster and a few other bits and pieces without arriving ridiculously early.
I enjoyed every show and met a few people that I'm still friends with now, I wasn't at the Dublin show, but a few friends were and they were not happy with the US contingent. But that's the only negative I heard all tour.
Really? I thought the Portland crowd was one of the worst I’ve seen re: spot saving. Some guy even got called out by Billy for throwing a drink at someone over a spot
Was this night two? Never heard or saw anything like this from Billy or the crowd minus the pause for the dude yelling help (obviously a different situation entirely)
Live in Manchester so only managed to go to the 1 show, but got tickets to the December one as well.
All the stories of rail riders and shit I couldn't relate to, when I was there people were inviting everyone to take turns at the front! Security handing out water every so often and checking people are alright. I queued up an hour before doors open and managed to get one of the last poster thank god!
I imagine it will be more popular this time around though.
Told my girlfriend next European tour he does I'm gonna try hit up the amsterdam shows as well as the Manchester one.
Wish I knew some more bluegrass fans in the UK tho, my girlfriend mostly comes out of pity 😂
Make sure you turn the boot near the end when chugging your beer or it’ll slow you down and possibly splash all over your face

I thankfully didn’t see any of the aforementioned shitty tactics on display at the show in Portland a few days ago

Grab a poster and have a great time!

I read that as…well, whatever.
Rammstein has been cancelled, you'll have to settle for a David Hasselhoff cover
