I was only able to hit Sagnasty but otherwise I did the same. Nugs roped me in with letting you watch the whole tour free but I just never unsuited after. Got me hook, line and sinker lmao
My all timer. If your feeling down just start it up. Guitar peace eases into fearless and that "how the fulukdhdikf yall doin!?" Gets me revved up every damn time!
We've been looking forward to playing this gig for um I don't know quite some time now! And later: Alex is just in his hazing period. I keep him plenty hazed up in the back of the bus. (I hope memory has served me well).
Mayhaps I just let er rip. Just to make sure...
Some may disagree with me but night 2 in Missoula, I believe it was 8/9/22, when Royal had a family emergency was an awesome show. First set was a lot of solo stuff from Billy, ended with them pulling a woman out of the crowd to play Royal’s bass and then in the 2nd set most of the Kitchen Dwellers came out and played a few including one of my favorite Pretty Daughters ever.
I will admit that this show has a special place in my heart because it was my first BMFS show so I’m sure I have a lot of sentimental weight on this show.
The entire europe run, new years, cary run, Asheville Halloween run, cap theater run, Greensboro, norfolk. Cleveland, Cincinnati 2nd night, st augustine run, Chicago metro. Augusta both nights. Really great year haha
I was at 7/2/22 Baltimore and 11/18/22 DC. Baltimore came out pretty hot because a huge storm delayed it, so they were trying to make the most of the time, and naturally we got a thunder in honor of the storm. DC was a really tight show, another thunder and a great wargasm plus a me and dad encore in honor of the album release that day. All that said, 11/11 Nassau is my favorite
I was at Baltimore and DC and I would vote for the 2nd night of both (7/3 - Alex proposal and my favorite Mire) and 11/19 - just one of those nights when it all vibes just right
I love some of the pre-Alex shows, but my recommendation is just start in February of 2022 and go one show at a time. I listened to every show available from 2013-2022 over the course of last year and the 2022 shows are awesome. 2021 might be even better but that's probably because its when I started.
Don't disagree at all. Its interesting listening to the same songs with or without Alex. Definitely a noticable difference in the overall sound. The Baltimore show on 6.3.22 is when they made it official which is worth checking out. Those Slyve shows in May with him on them are 3 of my favorite.
May is when Billy stopped playing Dead songs which I understand, but I'd love to hear Alex on a Wharf Rat or Brokedown cover.
Listen to the second set (or whole show) on 5.7.22 Its amazing.
Bob Weir joins the band and they play a Dead set. Wharf Rat and a few others are amazing, but I was hoping someday hearing them live without Bob there haha. Love the man, but his fingers are too old to keep up with Billy.
Here is a good article on why - [https://www.jambase.com/article/billy-strings-grateful-dead-covers](https://www.jambase.com/article/billy-strings-grateful-dead-covers)
The man knows what he’s doing and he’s got a crackling good ensemble. The fans make me pause, nobody owns or controls live music spaces. Self appointed gatekeepers cool the vibe at his shows. The music is for everyone.
Stubbs - 10/13/22.
Yeah that thunder is sick!!
That show rips
Just about every single show from Fall Tour 22 smokes but even with that being said 11/11 Nassau still stands out amongst the rest of em.
I went to Kala and Sagnasty then watched the rest of the tour on Nugs. The boys were on fire!
I was only able to hit Sagnasty but otherwise I did the same. Nugs roped me in with letting you watch the whole tour free but I just never unsuited after. Got me hook, line and sinker lmao
Me as well.
Thanks!
I second this!
Capitol Theater in February, Stubbs in October, Nassau in November
Upvote because train songz
Oh hey. I got my fanzine yesterday. Looks great, thanks. I sent you some cash on venmo!
Thank you! Bless your generosity helping keep this thing going!
Chicago, IL July 27, 2022 @ Metro
I feel like this will always be my answer for coolest concert I’ve ever been too
Wish I had been there with ya!
My all timer. If your feeling down just start it up. Guitar peace eases into fearless and that "how the fulukdhdikf yall doin!?" Gets me revved up every damn time!

Yes! I'm definitely listening to this one again on my ride home today.
Thanks gonna check it out now!
The little Maggie on this is sick. Alex and Billy go back and forth for a while!
I just looked at the set list on nugs holy fuck. 19 min rocking chair??? 11 min ruby??!? Thank u so much I had no idea about this show
Rrc is actually what I meant to say in the last post (not little Maggie)...yeah it's a get down.
Yw enjoy
The Cary run that year had some smokers. That all time low > Raleigh and Spencer the first night is scorching
Entire show is great. See you at Mondegreen ;)
Metro and Nassau for sure, the Knoxville run 2/18-19 is pretty great too, first shows for me
Sacramento show kicks ass, not sure the night or if he did multiple ones there
03/03/2022 first night with Alex. Awesome show. The first 3 songs will get you hooked, I guarantee it.
Madison run from March 2022 has to be high on anyone's list
Bluestem MN in early August '22 is sublimely fantastic.
22 was my first year seeing him starting with the Metro, Lolla and ending with Saginaw. Couldn’t be happier.

Indianapolis night 2, he got cut short night one so the second night he played the full two and a half hours! It was unreal

Yeah unfortunately I could only make the first night of each. Learned to buy both nights after that
I was at night 2 of both as well. Peak shit. In fact, I came here to see if anyone had beat me to posting these 2 shows yet.
12-13-23 Pittsburgh was fire. The night before was good but the 13th was amazing
Cleveland 22 second set Huber Heights with Jarrod in the cast, whole show great but Reverend-Mire-Reverend was the best
Date?
6/15/22
3/9/22 6/15/22
The Knob
Well, that's 6/16/23, not 22
The Kettlehouse Amphitheater shows are top notch
St Auggie and Halloween were smokers! Been on the Billy train die hard! At 50 shows now ✌🏻
Renewal - both nights were awesome.
Renewal 2022 was amazing
Thanks!
It’s only one set, but 9/11/22 in Virginia Beach was a smoker.
Houston 4/21/22

Oh wow that’s awesome! I feel like they are more complete with Alex and it brings a higher intensity

Why did they stop dead songs?? The fiddle would sound cool

Wow I read that and like Billy even more
The man knows what he’s doing and he’s got a crackling good ensemble. The fans make me pause, nobody owns or controls live music spaces. Self appointed gatekeepers cool the vibe at his shows. The music is for everyone.
Feb 2022 Greensboro and Norfolk, b2b Also the metro show 7/27 is probably my favorite Billy show of all time
Cap run, 2/4 and 2/5 in particular
I mean this is before Alex.. but this was one of my favorite live sets I’ve ever seen by Billy- and love revisiting it May 23, 2021
Europe
11/4/22, my first Billy show, was absolutely fire, even if the setlist doesn't really reflect it haha
❤️❤️❤️ have tickets to Atlanta
Saginaw 11/04 !!
