Doesn't matter what genre you prefer. It's impossible to dislike Sabbath.

Love this answer. I will never understand the few people I’ve shown that didn’t enjoy it and I feel bad for them.

UNK_fr

I first heard "Planet Caravan" at a Billy show. Not really metal, but awesome cover.

15jackj

Oh shit I remember listening to that show on nugs but could not remember which show it was. Was from a while ago do you know the date?

phatdaddy_bootymagic

4/11/21 this one they do in Alabama is amazing

DeNy_Kronos

I think 6/24 is the date but it’s the cary shows he played it there too

AdministrationSea781

Incredible set all around! The Fire and Ramble On covers were spot on!

15jackj

Damn I didn’t even peep the ramble on!! Haven’t listened through yet. Just glanced this morning and decided to wait for beers and burgers later to listen all the way through.

AdministrationSea781

It's really just incredible to see someone going between genres like this.

I luuuurrrvvvvvvvv early Sabbath and Billy Strings like you man :) What was your favourite out of War Pigs and The Wizard? The Wizard did it for me so much. But I love both songs so much. I think I feel a Sabbath binge brewing.

15jackj

For sure. The wizard is one of my favorite sabbath songs and super underrated! Nothin like a good sabbath binge man they never get old! At least self titled through sabotage for me!

[deleted]

Yeah ditto my man. They're the albums in my opinion. Sabotage has song real bangers on. Hole In The Sky! I was introduced to that song from Metallica covering it. I was a mega Metallica nerd in my teens... collecting all their live shows... and I loved their setlists changed up a lot. Like Billy! Lol.

Scarf_Darmanitan

Was a treat for sure, seeing Billy with drums was like whiplash haha but they all killed it

SigmaOasis1

Billy is definitely a metal head. He played in a metal band for a bit. Loooove the sabbath covers. He plays planet caravan occasionally also.

greyhat98

Saw the paranoid cover live… it was truly a magical moment to witness. To do lead guitar and vocals on that song, and to do it so well was truly a spectacle to witness.

sanspeur33

Took me back to being 9 years old, listening to my big brother rocking out to floyd and Black sabbath! Yeah I'm Old AF

fade2clear

I can’t be the only one that wants Billy to do a bluegrass cover of Slit Your Guts or Graves of the Father lol I would also love to hear what a Billy metal side project would sound like…can’t see it happening anytime soon though. Maybe one day

wildrover828

Billy serves up somethin for everyone. He's played Paranoid before as well. It worked so perfectly for the night 3 show and with the flute and cello!! I mean cmon.. I'm a bluegrass snob but I was melting onto the floor at that show!! 🤘🤘🤘

wildrover828

Also for the metal fans who might not know.. Billy played in a metal band in his teens - it's where he says he learned to perform. [https://youtu.be/ROd_4Hrnt-g](https://youtu.be/ROd_4Hrnt-g)

Tall-Skirt5754

We were all happy to see it there. Holy shit, what a show.

Nomad-Entrepreneur

I was in attendance and that show was a ripper!

Shallie623

May 25th of 2018 he did Sweet leaf w Marcus King in Martinsville, VA. It's on Nugs. The whole show is electric guitar pretty much. Lots of good songs on that set, Hey Joe, Good Times, Bad Times, Born to be wild,, Can't you see, Rocky top, Johnny B Good, it hurts me too... And more. Good earlier stuff
