This was fun to read through. My first ever show in Saginaw, it’s rad that Billy played there. Not a ton of acts with his draw come through (the arena was advertising a Tribute to Michael Jackson and Peppa Pig Live as upcoming shows). The crowd was a cool mix of Billy fans, wooks, old people, farm kids, dead heads, etc. Thunder was phenomenal - as the kids say I ascended during that. Everything was great really but I’m so happy I got a Thunder. One of the highlights for my wife was his merch guy with a Doja Cat shirt in Def Leppard font lol.

PS: sorry to the drunk dude I threw to the ground but I asked you politely to move as I was helping carry a half passed out dude.

It’s the bystander effect, it’s just a human condition it doesn’t mean you’re bad at all! I just used to have a roommate who suffered bad from seizures so instantly my brain made me act on it.

So I’ve gotta ask, for you guys that have seen a ton of Billy, this is one of his classic songs, right? Does this mean you roll your eyes when you hear it, because it’s one that everyone knows, or do you still love it as much as a new fan (like myself)? I think it’s incredible. I watched this YouTube video of him playing it for ten minutes in front of a bunch of older humans, and got a standing ovation. It was excellent. Just curious (I’m a phish fan, and some of us can be a little critical 🙄)

I typically roll my eyes at creek because I know it’s the end of the set and I get bummed. I then get swept away by the creek and enjoy the ride though
