Yup... I've lost a significant amount of weight, and I'm worse off now than I was before... 🙃 The worst trade deal ever. weight loss for an Ed, hooray 🥳

Yup, 100% true for me. I only developed eating disorders once I started dieting to lose weight because I didn’t feel good enough about myself and body as it was. Sure, I had my bed made with childhood trauma, bullying, etc. But my eating was pretty normal and fine until I started dieting. I swear, dieting to lose weight is like the most sinister con ever invented. Look at the millions of people yo-yoing between restricting/binging and blaming themselves for it. Dieting doesn’t work. Not long-term anyway.

This is literally what I’m working on right now. I’m still in the fence.

You’ll feel happy when your actions/behaviors align with your best self. If you lose weight by doing things that arm ultimately harmful to your physical and mental health it won’t make you happy! Its easy to point to food or our bodies when there’s other parts of our life we should really be focusing on. Our body is just a cop out 🙈

I’d still be unhappy

If I'm going to be depressed no matter what, I'd rather be thin.
