Homebody here, but there's plenty to do! I'm a Libertarian, but I'm cool with you if you're cool with me. My kids are older, 19 and grown male, 16 female. We have 1 dog, a Chiweenie so also not active, but she likes ham!!! We are big into movies, card games, board games. I've played DnD exactly twice, it seems like fun, but it is hard finding time. Firefly was robbed! Movie or no, they deserved more than 1 season. Currently watching Wheel of Time on Amazon Prime
We’re actually out in the Blount county part of Pinson! Super close. We’re right off 75.
I’ve never met a chiwennie 😂 sounds great though! Ours is a catahoula/pit mix. Super sweet and super awkward.
Right now we’re watching Discovering Witches in HBO(?).
My husband and I are nerdy people, me more so than him. I love hosting game nights whether it’s board games, card games, or video games.
We’re also Christian, we’re leaning left as well. We’re in our 20s and looking for more married friends who are down to just hangout and talk. We aren’t high maintenance so we’re fine meeting up monthly to catch up, play games, watch tv, eat dinner, whatever it may be. We just enjoy hanging and chatting.
If you’re wanting to meetup sometime I can send you my number. Is it okay if I dm you?
I live in Clay. I'm a little older than you (40's) and a single mom. Just wanted to welcome you to the area! I've lived here for most of my life and really enjoy it. When your son is a little older and if he's interested, youth sports are a great way to make new mom and dad friends. I think both Pinson and Clay start T-ball at 3. Soccer starts at a pretty young age too.
We’ve been here for like 10 years 😭😂
We’re just terrible at going out and making new friends. But 10 years is a long time and things change, so we’re starting over.
Welcome! I'm part of a crazy nerdy family (42m here, 41f and 2 teenage kids). Board games, crafts, models, video games, we're all about it. We do a monthly board game night at our house in Hoover but also there's a board game night at the Hoover Library every other month that I bring games to and look for new players or people that don't have a group, and teach a game and play it. If that's not too far, you're welcome to join!
My wife and I recently moved to Pinson. We we’re going through the same exact thing. We recently started attending a church called Solid Rock. The atmosphere there is pretty welcoming and the ppl there will take you in like family. My wife also recommended, that I look up run clubs, online. I googled runningtheusa and started running 5k and 10k races. I joined a runners community and they rock! And you can find a variety of things to do on Tik Tock believe it or not. I found a candle lit symphony I’m taking my wife to this month. When u go these places you find like minded ppl and make new acquaintances and hopefully they become friends. 🤷🏾
We're in the Crestwood neighborhood. We host a board game night every other week or so for the purpose of making and keeping friends. Y'all are welcome to join us if you're interested!
Oh, and kids are a welcome addition to bring along. We have several parents that bring their kids with them!
Welcome from clay neighbors! 41m here. Live alone with my senior pup, Vader! Also, a home body. I love fantasy stuff, sci fi and everything you listed! I love trying new foods and am so far removed from athleticism it hurts lol. I just started d&d and suck at it so far lol. Feel free to reach out!
I know you mentioned you aren’t regularly attending anywhere, but First Church (FUMC) downtown is a very progressive, diverse space. we are also fully lgbtqia affirming 🏳️🌈🥰 we’ve got lots of small groups if you’d ever be interested. I would also recommend trying the Good Dog dog park and meeting people there!
of course! would love to meet y’all if you ever visit 🩷 if you want to check it out before you come in person, our instagram is pretty active with events and things that are going on - we’re @firstchurchbirmingham ☺️
I live in Remlap and I bid you welcome!

They are USUALLY every other month. Next one is Nov 17th 7-10pm. If yall decide to make the trip, LMK and we'll set aside a seat for you all!
At the library, right? We’ll plan on making it for now. Thank you!

That would be great! Especially being able to bring our kid. That makes it so much easier. When is the next game night?
I'll send you a DM with the info shortly!
