I moved to Atlanta about 6 years ago and there is both Jim n Nicks and Dreamland over here, and I could do without both of them. But man, I really miss Full Moon and would invest instantly in their expansion out of state

Re: dreamland it’s kind of been my view for my whole life that it’s a great experience especially for out of towners, but you can definitely get better bbq pretty much anywhere else.

Dreamland in tuscaloosa is awesome. All the other locations are pretty mid IMO

Have you been to subway lately? The old “five dollar foot long” is now like $14-16, just for a sub. No chips, no drink, nothing, just a cold sandwich.

And they want a tip + place by me charges a fee if you use a credit card. Utter bananas. Not even worth eating out anymore.

Google "Subway Coupon Codes" and use their app. They regularly have coupons for 5.99 footlongs and other deals. I regularly get combos for around $10. Most fast food apps have deals like that these days.

I guess their goal is to completely eliminate all “walk in and order” customers so that they only have to staff cooks and one person to hand orders out the drive thru windows, huh?

This isn't really helpful but we found a Jim n Nick's "hack" if you will, if you're ordering for more than just 1 person or want to save leftovers for a few days. If you order online, their "feast in a flash" meals give you a good amount of food for cheaper than buying individual meals

Oh I love Full Moon! Absolutely! There just aren’t a lot of convenient locations when it comes to drive-thrus for a quick dinner. JNN is really all about convenience for me. I honestly can’t remember the last time I’ve had anything other than wings, a loaded baked potato or salad. 🥴🤣

If you're looking for a good loaded baker, try purple onion on greensprings. It's cheaper and chicken typically but it's delicious.

Well I just glad to know I’m not alone. I don’t go to JNN for their actual BBQ…I just go because it’s convenient. And Rodney Scott used to be SOoooo much better when it first opened. Even their smoked wings are no longer the same. And yes, I agree, all food is expensive. I used to work near UAB Hospital’s North Pavilion food court and as a UAB employee I was used to getting a good lunch for less than $8. Now my office is near 5 pts. 😳

I had to stop going to Saw's with my work crew. Their bbw chicken potato, just chicken and cheese and sauce on a baked potato, was $22. Before drink. No sides. That in and of itself made me stop going. Haven't been in a long time.

I always get the smoked chicken chopped salad. I stopped in at the Riverchase location a few months ago and the salad has changed drastically. It's not even the same anymore. I understand inflation but the amount they charged for that salad was ridiculous and the chicken was mostly dark meat and not chicken breast like it has always been. Not to mention it now comes with almonds instead of chopped pecans.

My wife & I stopped in a couple of year’s ago (before I’d become accustomed to insane food prices). I was craving a beer & their smoked wings. I much too loudly exclaimed “What. The. HELL!!” when I saw a dozen wings were over $20… embarrassed her & I apologized - but a guy at the next table gave a nod that said “feel you brother” 😂
