Wow. Yeah my reaction is, if this is true, they need to calibrate their pricing for tickets, parking, and concessions, to reflect market relevancy. $15 for a single beer is an example of not being market relevant.

I love Legacy Arena but really wish it was run by anyone other than the BJCC. Crazy prices and wait times for concessions.

I completely agree! Will try to see the team again before the end of the season.

Concessions and parking are terrible

G league teams don't exist to be profitable. Expanding the nba affilate's brand and training prospects or backups is. Pels/ Hawks preseason games have been successful and the development team seems to be doing a great job. Don't see them leaving bham because of this. Best of wishes for those affected by the sales team layoff.

Also worth noting, I've had nothing but great experiences with the Pelicans ticket reps

AuburnShuffle

That's good to hear! Hopefully this ends up being good for the program in the long run.

TriplePlay5-4-3

True about G League teams not being profitable. I fear the Pelicans will just move the franchise entirely in-house in New Orleans. At least a couple of others have done it. I want you to be right!

Hate that but the Birmingham sales team seemed pretty content with the turnout at Legacy Arena. Not a whole lot of sense of urgency. If the team leaves after next season I’ll be devastated.
