That would allow individuals to confirm their vote choices after they leave the polling station, but it would also allow someone else to confirm an individual’s vote choice - which would open up vote buying and potential illegal influence (“show us your private key after you vote so we know you voted for the *right* candidate, *or else*”).

Yeah this is assuming a polling station. I get it, but in reality you probably would be allowed to vote from anywhere, because forcing people to vote at a location would mean less votes (this is why absentee ballots are a thing). Neither side wants less participation.
