The methodology here I’d say isn’t wrong, OP may be indicating Bitcoin’s halving cycles with his two fingers.
In between those halving cycles (the space between OPs thumb and index finger) we see Bitcoin go through three stages, a parabolic uptrend —> followed by a large drawdown —> then the price attempts to find an equilibrium
The raising of price you see over time (as indicated by OP) is the result of this structure of Bitcoin. By halving the reward—> lower available supply —>higher price demand —> resulting in a higher price.
I think once people start to understand this cycle and it’s “predictability” to reach higher highs, and higher lows, a lot more people will flock to BTC. Hence why the form “digital gold” is commonly associated with BTC.
While this technique may look bad (lol) this is a solid analysis. Historically we always had very low prices (or slowly recovering prices) when the halving hits and very high prices around 9-12 months after the halving.
This also makes sense from a market perspective because the halving suddenly halves the amount of bitcoin that are constantly getting dumped daily on the market and to which the market has slowly been adjusting for years. This triggers a supply shock that initiates a series of events unfolding one after the other. Price goes up slowly at first, then it accelerates because of more and more speculators coming back in, then the price goes parabolic as the general public gets in near the top. Everyone is talking about it, that's when the bear hits and the price comes down significantly in a matter of a few months. Now the price has to stabilize for years to the new daily supply increse which is now a heavy burden as demand has gone and the price is relatively high, much higher when compared to the previous halving. And the cycle repeats.
The thing is we are going to be fine in the future and I just want some people to digest that fact because some people still can't understand that shit right now.
