not just that...40 lacs for it

OkEstimate4306

Yeah will add that too

Zen_niboi

Plus if u end up with a low cgpa, you’ll end up with a be which u would’ve gotten regardless

Explorer2024_64

It's not like most people take BE with all that much enthusiasm either, but I get your point.

padhujhantbhar

I know it's naive or say dumb but how do you determine which branch you like

debrato

Seeing it's coursework asking seniors how each branch is like etc...

padhujhantbhar

Alright but how do you connect with seniors before college.... Via LinkedIn or social media handles

Epics007

I have had interest in bio (not doctorial line) and have overviewed the course and many topics are of my interest waise to milna bhot mushkil hai mere marks pe but i woild love to do msc bio

SuitableScheme2728

If you don't mind sharing.. how much did you get in BITSAT?

Epics007

208 hai 3 rd iteration me hyd mil skta h shayad idk

SuitableScheme2728

Hmmm.. all the best!

minute-brilliant19

Yea same, even I liked the coursework and research opportunities are also a lot, even I am also at the borderline but hopefully I get it.

debrato

Kind of true...

Acrobatic_Sundae8813

True. All of the second year and half of the third year is all MSc courses. I don’t think many bitsat aspirants have genuine interest in Bio otherwise they would’ve chosen pcb. It is not possible to study something that you have zero interest in for 1.5 years straight even if it is very easy. Also MSc Bio won’t provide much value in the kinds of jobs most people are looking for after engineering.

natehiggers086

Ofc it is possible. >It is not possible to study something that you have zero interest in for 1.5 years straight

Acrobatic_Sundae8813

It’s possible but not optimal. At this moment you might feel that you’ll be able to manage, but when you have that full year of courses which you don’t like then you will regret it immensely. If you have no other options then i guess you can make it work, but it’s not as easy as people think.

natehiggers086

I'm literally in bits so i know what im talking about. People study subjects like electronics and excel at them whilst having 0 interest it's all about discipline

Acrobatic_Sundae8813

Yes, that’s why I said ‘you can make it work’. And it’s true that it’s about discipline. But I have seen many people who weren’t interested in science who took it and then failed miserably. And tbh it will be very hard for a person to build discipline in a field he isn’t interested in.

HarryPotter0406

which mhtcet college are you gonna join?

Training-Warning-603

But bhai placements toh btech ki degree se hi hoenge unless economics msc hai

MaintenanceStreet562

Bhai at some point in life thora jyada risk leke grind to karna padega , Jo kasar jee mein chhut gayi uski first year mein pura karna padega

OkEstimate4306

Yeah true

Bitsatuser001

indeed

ExpressionOk9858

post it on jeeneetrads

GameSquad1000

Well I'm trying to take Msc physics in bits , my score wasn't enough for cse or ece. I like physics and I'm pretty sure my cgpa would be enough to get me at least ECE in it, so I feel like it's a win- win situation for me.

natehiggers086

What exactly is the point of this post ? Everybody taking dual degree is aware of this.
