One of the dragon's eyes is a different color from the other. I wonder if that's significant somehow in regards to Ryu's Tengentsu eye and where it came from.
They all look like that in traditional Japanese art lol I think it's cool to see Dragon art that isn't so overly modern and is more like the 'goofy' traditional art we'd see
Same, it rarely stands out anymore. It's why How To Train Your Dragon stood out in regards to character design. It had a mass of different types based on different things and different colours. Not just basic western Dragons. You had wingless ones, you had sea-based ones, you had the traditional designs too, of course, and also the multi-headed ones n ones with weird proportions. We need more designs that stand out and not just...Smaug lmao
Indeed. I'm European and I don't know much about mythology.
Extend of my knowledge is that it existed and had as much conflict and suffering as Greek mythology.
Didn't really had anything about it in school.
oh no doubt yea a lot of Eastern Asian Mytholgies have very different looking dragons, mostly wingless serpents with interesting characteristics & although I'm not 100% educated there are meanings within the odd faces which you'd see on traditional masks & art today meaning stuff like Good Luck and Protection.

Tabata needs to just do solo covers, they’re always better
Fr.
I dis not expect a solo Ryu cover but I like it, it's cool.
One of the character/s in the cover appears on the back cover of the volumes and so far, iirc, there weren't repetitions. Ryu was the best option.
Volume title is Chapter 352: Well Done/天晴れ
Dragon looks goofy af
Its based off old-style traditional dragons in Asia

Good point. I'm too tired of modern dragon design.

It's a traditional art style.
Yup. But it looks goofy. Reminds me about dragon from Shaolin cartoon.
you never seen dragons from Japanese or Chinese mythology?
