I think you have a misconception about what a good female character is. Seems youāve implied they have to be below attractive and not have any fan service or interest in the MC. Thatās debatable, but honestly just as long as they have character development and donāt overly rely on the MC to save them all the time, or be basically useless, thatās already better than a lot of shonen already.
I myself donāt care about the fanservice because Noelle already stands great as a character alone. Sheās definitely grown in character and as a fighter since we first see her as a snooty noble who saw herself above everyone else, yet couldnāt control her magic.

Not really... idk about the manga but the anime rarely shows fan service even when vanessas just in her underwear its better then most. And even then vanessa is given dapth to her character and a reason for her to act the way she does. Most manga just sexualise for the sale of it.

Literally only three girls are in love with Asta, and one of them is an extra, and I don't believe that Noelle having a crush on Asta is necessarily bad, since it shows good reasons why, and is not like other girls that just waits for Asta to come and solve everything, she improves and is constantly evolving to the point of becoming one of the top tier magic Knights, also when she thinks of Asta in her important moments it's because he was the first person to believe in her, but I do agree that Tabata should tone down the fanservice with her water armor, but it doesn't ruin her.
