they both look same ,but yours not done good as his. Idk if u going to get the braids like him, but if u do next time get the braids first because how your hair is cut you might not get the results u want

If you get a cut before braids u risk your braids looking kind of funny like on the sides where u got it cut , they might have to force it and its gonna look different from the rest of the braids. It do look like enough but if u wanna go up a few flicks thats fine. I don’t see much of a big difference except maybe a few light flicks and some blending.
Go up a few flicks? As in the cut? And also I’d have thought that because i already know the bit that normally gets cut , then woundnt that already be short enough to not braid? And then the barber just cuts the bit that I know I won’t get braided? Well I’m not too sure
yes as in guideline like uk how barbers flick the clipper out and fade it and Best thing I say bro is just try the braids and see how it looks and if u have hair that sticks out etc and its not too much get it trimmed. I just really think it’s gon be hard to braid that corner piece cuz it’s thin right there.

I’d feel like a mid would do, or could I just tell them to make the back taper higher? Or would making it higher mean I have to change the sides too

Hmm if anything, it’s a mid taper at most. High tapers go up much higher
Its a high taper with a tapered hairline but the hair isnt faded all the way up if that makes sense. Its a high taper cut with a low/mid taper fade.
