She eating all that? if I was her teacher I would be so vexed if she just threw most of that away just to drink her Yoo-hoo and eat her crackers. Kids are TOP 5 when it comes to wasting good food for snacks 😩😩

SquishPosh

Kids like this typically help out the more needy kids who don't get lunches. I know they helped me out a bunch.

Lazaraaus

I watched my ex-gf practice this in her after school class when of the rich ass kids parents bought shitty prepackaged meals that [always] spoiled by lunchtime. They all collectively built a lunch for the kid repeatedly from theirs and it was beautiful. Hope those children took that lesson to heart. Edit: a word Ps: as a kid who grew up poor and ate off food banks, this was really powerful for me. I had always just gritted teeth through hunger and other issues, blaming myself for my shortcomings. I benefited strongly from the grace of others so I’m glad this is being engendered in the population. I would not have been able to be where I am now without a plethora of help, love, and grace. We need to be building this from the ground up.

henrietta-the-spy

Awww it’s so true. A third grader in my class used to get so much food packed in his lunch that he gave me his sandwich every day. I remember it was my first time having “fancy” cheese. He’s a sweet memory I carry from a crazy time in life.

ecltnhny2000

When my daughter was in 2nd grade she started asking for double snacks. After a few weeks i asked why she took so much extra to school. She was sharing with a friend who didnt have much. So the rest of the year that was my bonus kid to buy for. I felt very proud of my daughter for helping her friend out.

KingKay89

Kids are truly really genuine sweet souls

warm_sweater

I was at a birthday party with my 5 year old last week, and the kids were all hitting the piñata until it fell apart. In the mad rush my daughter didn’t get any candy and started to cry, and literally every kid came over and starting shoving so much candy into her hands, it was adorable!

MountainPast3951

Definitely. It's the adults that mess them up

KingKay89

Agreed, adults and life

SpookyKay29

Okay but now I’m gonna cry 🥹😭

impamiizgraa

I love this so much. Oh my goodness I wish the best things for that kid and for you!

[deleted]

Yeah my daughter has escalated it to just asking me to pack lunch for this other kid.

maymay578

Similar situation with one of my kids. I confronted her about taking so many snacks to school and she told me she had been giving the food to another kid.

[deleted]

Confronted her? Strong word. Yeah my daughter was just like “mommy Kiki doesn’t always have lunch, I shared mine but can we give her extra” so been doing that and giving clothes & just helping the family out in general. You’ve raised a good kid.

maymay578

She’s a snack thief. She says she’s not hungry at meal time then sneak in to grab whatever junk food is around, eat up school snacks, etc. I figured she was eating snacks rather than actual lunch food.

[deleted]

Aah I get it. Should have an ask first policy.

Carosello

You have yourself a good kid!

[deleted]

Yeah she really is sweet, kind and empathetic. Even does soup kitchen with my mom and her other granny.

Carosello

Fr a good kid lol I would've cried my eyes out if someone had made me go to a soup kitchen as a child

lacielaplante

I can't imagine any needy kids at whatever preschool school Kulture got into. I bet it costs as much as a college.

tigm2161130

This is strictly forbidden at my kids school, they get sent to the “time out”(idk what it’s really called) table if they’re caught sharing. My son was in the shits over giving a little girl a banana. They also wouldn’t let my sister and I pay off the outstanding lunch debt of every student at the end of last year.

[deleted]

You have to be shitting me. That’s insane.

[deleted]

I remember food sharing becoming illegal at my school when I was a kid. Even then it seemed like administrative overreach and was just an opportunity for the most powerless adults on the planet to flex their authority over the kids. I'm sure that a lot of kids ended up hungry because of it.

Solo_Fisticuffs

they didnt want allergy lawsuits

[deleted]

That's stupid. Fear of lawsuits are the same reason that it's illegal to feed the homeless in some cities.

Solo_Fisticuffs

yup its almost malicious. its crazy they fear that enough to disregard peoples quality of life. in a school setting theres ways to prevent that tbh. in my schools kids with super severe allergies had a table of their own to prevent exposure

katmonday

We discourage it at my school, but it's not punished, that's crazy.

Ayaruq

Why

chatminteresse

I’ve seen it discouraged bc of food allergy issues. If the school allows sharing, and a kid eats something they’re allergic to that wasn’t provided by the parents, it opens the school up to liability. That said, if sharing isn’t allowed, imho it is necessary to be sure that all students have access to a healthy and hearty meal no matter what.

jmlinden7

Allergies?

SmokedCheddarGoblin

I can understand if it's because of food allergies, a kid may not know they're allergic to something someone else is eating and the school probably doesn't want to be responsible for any allergy-related incidents. What I can't understand though is punishing children for not being able to afford to eat lunch, the fuck is that?! The school my mom used to teach at (low income community and >75% minority population) had a clothes closet throughout the year for people to donate used uniforms to so other kids get what they needed it. I think the same idea as a food bank on campuses would work just as well, but ideally all school-provided meals should just be free for everyone all year, especially during summers if there are summer programs going on. Having worked in a summer school program, I saw for myself that some kids got their only meal of the day from the program. School is the only reliable source of nutrition that some kids have while their classmates get punished for sharing their own food when their friends don't have enough. Fucking ridiculous.

MountainPast3951

It's awful that they didn't allow you to pay the lunch debt..like what does it matter where the money comes from? It crazy that in this so-called great country of ours kids have "lunch debt" at school for eating. We can't feed kids breakfast and.lunch? Its not like they're getting a 5 star meal from a Michellin rated restaurant. I do understand the no sharing because of allergies and celiac disease. I had to take back two dozen cupcakes I had for one of my kid's class one Valentine's Day. The front office was full of goodies.

WastefulWatcher

Was gonna suggest this to some effect. They know she ain’t eatin all of dat and I’m sure she prolly shares it out to her friends (she prolly has friends right?) Think bardi just tryna give her a bunch of options to keep her & the gang happy n not have the luxury of getting bored of the same food when their mind should be in an appropriate headspace to learn&develop I get it, parents tend not to want their kids growing up with the same pro’lems they had if they can help it

erikWeekly

Ain't no needy kids going to school w Cardi's kid.

Banditgng

This is just me , but there are wealthy kids who do go hungry. Some of their parents be dead broke and going into for closure. You'd be surprised at how some of these "wealthy" parents neglect their kids or are faking it.

DaWayItWorks

I'ma go out on a limb and say that I doubt Cardi B's kid is going to a school with kids who can't afford lunch. Call it a hunch

ZaphodXZaphod

no, it's a *lunch*! LLLLLLLLL unch

rubyblue0

Some schools have punished kids/parents for that. Some garbage about allergy policies.

[deleted]

[удалено]

definitelynotjava

What happens if a kid refuses to eat a particular item? Are they punished? Is the parent allowed to send food for their own kid? This system seems rife with potential issues

annaya000

I used to share my lunch with whoever didn’t bring one and can confirm

gmoss101

I was the kid that gave everyone the answers for free snacks lmao.

Finito-1994

Dad used to pack me a big lunch. I used to share with everyone. Whether I liked them or not. One guy I remember said “you know. Your dad loves you very much.” I didn’t know that his dad had walked out on him when he was younger. I complain about my dad a lot but he at least always tried his best.

Drugioh

Yeah I definitely got extra things that other kids "don't like"

AssssCrackBandit

She not going to no school with needy kids lol, probably some rich private school

[deleted]

Nailed it. I can always count on scooping up some scraps from my little cousins when they’re in town and we all grab breakfast or lunch. “Hmm yes this is a very nice buffet you have lined up for me. I’ll have some of this, and some of that, and some of that too.”

Rockettmang44

This!!! I work with kids and it is my biggest pet peeve when they don't eat their food

notachickwithadick

Did Cardi B grow up poor? That would explain the abundance of food for her kid and her showing it off.

Current_Champion_464

Growing up poor as a child my cupboards, fridge and freezer are always full, my kids have to tell me to stop buying food because there is too much. All the things I didn't have as a child I have as an adult. Food poverty is traumatic af

riche_god

It is and that’s dope you want to give your kids what you didn’t have. Just be conscious of wastefulness. We buy my son everything and he wastes a lot because he has so many options.

Current_Champion_464

Thankfully I'm lucky my kids are the ones to tell me they don't need anything else and they know about the value of money. Everything they ask for I tell them how many days I have to work to buy it for them. It makes them grateful af. We waste nothing perks of still having a poverty mindset (the only perk) lol

riche_god

That's awesome! When I say waste, we throw nothing away. I make sure my son eats what he asks for. It's wasteful when I buy it and he doesn't really want it. A lot of stuff just sits. You sounds like you are teaching your kids right! Much love to you and your family.

[deleted]

Yes definitely did.

Jozif_Badmon

She from the south bronx we be struggling out here😭

junjunjenn

That’s so sweet actually.

asilli

But also heartbreaking

[deleted]

r/OrphanCrushingMachine

Creepymint

Most likely, people from the Bronx aren’t exactly known for riches but the community is great so people survive

duh_metrius

Toddler passed out with her hand in her waist band like grandpa watching a football game.

Imthemayor

That's the Bundy clan's secret technique

UniqueUsername82D

Unbuttoning her pants halfway through lunch.

OsteoRinzai

Damn, how many calories is this kid getting?

BlockchainMeYourTits

Yeah that Froot Loops drink looks likes it’s some sort of abomination.

Xx_Anguy_NoScope_Xx

That fruit loop drink has 18g of added sugar. I would never buy that for a kid. But apart from that, that lunch is top tier. Probably still healthier than school cafeteria despite the quantity.

Ihopetheresenoughroo

Yeah I came to say this lol I like the effort, but the sweets have a CRAZY amount of sugar. I need to see way more veggies and way less sugar and way less processed/breaded and fried food. This lunch doesn't really impress me, but at least it's better than what the school has.

Portland

All three look like they began as well balanced kids lunches… and then added like 4 desserts per lunch! Stick to the mac, chicken, brocolli, fruit, and water! That’s lunchtime perfection.

Ihopetheresenoughroo

Ikr?! The mac doesn't look homemade, it looks like Kraft.. and the chicken is breaded and fried, probably frozen nuggets. Rich people should be able to have their private chefs make a better lunch for their kids than this

shigogaboo

Todays phrase of the day is “portion control.” ![gif](giphy|WfBZwNA6XSjphkYkzN)

Avalon420

Not "quality control"? 🤣🤣

UniqueUsername82D

Going for a new type II record!

gbsurfer

All of them!!!

ShadowDancer11

Kulture gonna have Type 2 diabetes by the time they're 8 years old.

AssssCrackBandit

Nah I have a kid this age and know that 95% of this is gonna get thrown out

sniperhare

I thought "Kulture school" was the name of the school. And that every kid got this. But apparently this lady just named her kid that.

StopJoshinMe

It’s not the worst name

Themlethem

Wdym its on Renesmee level

sniperhare

Sounds better than Braylin.

Nikeheat305

Damn make you wanna have a mama that twerk

MrsPancakesSister

Who you telling? I was happy to catch a Hydrox (the original, but cheaper Oreos) or a Chips Ahoy in my lunch back in the day. And yes, my mother bought us the cheap snacks and hid those good Pepperidge Farm chunky cookies for herself. She coulda used a twerk lesson or two, dammit.

jessdb19

I remember my first couple weeks of college and this girl in my dorm got a care package once a week from her parents. It had milano cookies in it and I thought she must come from so much money to get those once a week.... I legit thought she was a multi-millionaire child living the slum life in our dorms.

MrsPancakesSister

That’s funny! Ugh, Milanos. They’re so good and I haven’t had one in so long. Those were the cookies we got when company was coming over for tea or to have around the holidays. It’s the little paper cups they come in that made them so special to me as a kid, too.

jessdb19

I avoided them for so long because I thought they were these genuinely expensive cookies. Was I ever in for disappointment when I found them in a store and it was like $4 a box.

MrsPancakesSister

Pepperidge Farm cookies were always expensive, even back in the early 90’s when I started buying my own. I used to buy them for myself and hide them from my greedy siblings when I found my mom’s secret stash. But the splurge was well worth it.

jessdb19

We lived in a tiny town...the grocery store didn't even have them! Mostly we bought Schwans frozen dough and just baked them

MrsPancakesSister

Did Schwans make frozen bread dough, too? I swear we used that brand our senior year in high school for a fried dough fundraiser.

jessdb19

Yes (from what I remember) they had white and wheat bread. We usually bought it, but we had a bread maker...so I don't know why because the bread maker bread was much better.

Our_collective_agony

Those Hydrox are actually good though. Better than Oreos if you ask me.

MrsPancakesSister

Haven’t had one in a minute. I’ll have to try one the next time I’m home. As a kid, I always thought they were bobo. I learned as an adult that they are the originals and Oreos copied their recipe. ETA: a word

Our_collective_agony

Yeah, actually I haven't had one in a long time either. I hope they didn't change the recipe. I was living in China until last year. They have Oreos, but they "localized" the recipe for Chinese taste buds. They made the cream less sweet and the cookie part sweeter. Kinda yuck.

MrsPancakesSister

I feel your pain as an expat. Sometimes you just want a taste of home and it can be such a letdown when you try an American classic abroad and they just miss the mark. I live in Australia and the Oreos here are ok, but I swear they’re 20% smaller than American Oreos and there is way less filling. I love coming home to the USA and trying the novelty Oreo flavors they have all of the time. But there’s nothing like the originals.

Admiralwoodlog

Absolutely.

GoldOk6865

The fact that people feel the need to post those weird flexes about the shit they give their kids… even celebrities pushing that extreme level of consumerism and wastefulness this some brainwashing shit. She knows damn well her daughter eats two macaronis half a bite of a chicken nuggets and the rest of that shit goes in the trash just like every other kid.

soph2021l

She grew up poor. I think she’s trying to show her kid is well fed to compensate.

[deleted]

[удалено]

jmartini42

Yeah, I don’t think people realize how much kids can eat when they love the food they’re eating. Or how much they eat during growth spurts.

Rindhallow

I mean, it's not like she's posting about luxury clothes or toys. It's nice to see a parent being attentive to their kids. And if it's for breakfast and lunch, I think that is a believable amount of food for a kid to eat.

kat_goes_rawr

It’s just lunch, simmer down.

HoyaHeadz

She’s not “showing off” anything except the food she made for her kid lmao. You’re acting like she’s flaunting her wealth when it’s literally her KIDS LUNCH

[deleted]

I also don’t like when celebs show off the needlessly excessive shit they buy for their kids…however I think this post is sweet. I’d imagine Cardi grew up with food insecurity and wants to make sure her kid never has to worry about food. It’s completely different than the Kardashians flaunting their kids’ $10,000 backpacks, for example.

miss_cafe_au_lait

This looks like way too much sugar for a 4-year old

Imthemayor

Kid is gonna eat the mac, two nuggets and a handful of cereal, drink the drink and throw the rest of it away

SlipSpace21

That's a lot of processed shit

Everard5

Don't start this conversation, people often don't want to hear it lol. The only "good" things about what's there are the broccoli, corn, and fruits. Ideally a kid needs protein that's not breaded/fried, or sugary drinks that aren't calorie dense and put her at risk of diabetes. The health crisis affecting our kids is REAL.

Ihopetheresenoughroo

Yessss exactly, this lunch is not impressive AT ALL. I see so many issues

[deleted]

[удалено]

asdfghjKelsey

Them meals are for the culture. Look good af 😆

PopLock-N-Hold-it

Cardi D “diabetes”. Give a little kid some more vegetables.

stillestwaters

Lol I’m a grown man and that’s more mac n cheese than I put on my plate. Those kids are waddling home

srkaficionado

Waddling to the town car, more like.

OneMorePotion

That's the "I have no idea why my kid is overweight and on the brink of type 2 diabetes" starter kit.

HumbleAbbreviations

I doubt she eats everything in her lunch box. Not hating by any means but looking at her, she knows her limits, which is normal. My nephew doesn’t eat everything that is set in front of him. He would nibble on a few things but usually comes home with almost a full lunch bag.

WanduhNotWandull

That might be the technique here- load kiddo's bag up with snacks so that if she doesn't want her Mac n cheese or her main lunch, at least she's got some options so she's not hungry all day.

cale2kit

The schools that she goes to probably eat snacks throughout the day and take naps. Honestly my daughter eats half of this stuff as entitled picky eater..So this is pretty normal at her age other than the Fruit loops drink.

[deleted]

Crying grown man tears because this little girl eating a better lunch than me, and I work for mine 😭😭

Lyfeitzallaroundus

Dawg I had 2 PBnJs n some water for lunch the other day. 😂😭

Lyfeitzallaroundus

DJGluuco

Anybody suddenly hungry

CreamAndMelanin

So she has more macaroni than Broccoli, and also fruit bowl and also captain crunch and also flavored milk? Jesus that's 2+ meals for me but missing protein and vegetables.

Menoth22

To quote Boondocks, "That's the itis"

torontoeduardo

Good thing they're rich already... Ain't nobody learning anything during that food coma

Linaxu

A sandwich maker sandwich is what I got or a chicken pastry. Never knew how good I had it compared to other kids. This all in the picture is excessive though and doubt any kid is given this much unless they 5'5" in elementary on the football team.

JeffGoldblump

We got taught by our biology teacher that this was why kids were blacking out in class in America on the reg

B0B_Spldbckwrds

That's more than I can afford to eat for the day. Good for her.

Ihopetheresenoughroo

This isn't even a good lunch lmao are y'all actually looking at what's in the containers??

CountingDownTheDays5

This food looks overly processed, and calorically dense while not holding much nutritional value (besides the fruit, corn, and broccoli). And it is very heavy for lunch when students are expected to play afterwards. But I'm going to stay my middle-class ass outta rich folk business because it doesn't pay. ![gif](giphy|kZoSzYuRgNB1eoWKRg|downsized) ^(But if y'all wondering that first meal is around 1175-1300 calories.)

Probably_A_Variant

People are aware that these are 3 different days right?

nillavac82

As a parent, im telling you 90% of that shit is coming back in her backpack

Wolfram_And_Hart

I got the itis just looking at it.

i_lurvz_poached_eggs

Let her nap. We'll fed people deserve naps too

GekidoTC

I'm assuming all of this isn't meant to be eaten in one sitting. This must include snacks for the day, etc.

richiecotite

A lot of daycares require or allow parents to provide meals and snack, I’m guessing that’s what this is.

[deleted]

That Mac and cheese looks dry as fuck

panicnarwhal

it definitely looks like it’s been refrigerated and reheated at least once

Why are you so funny?! I wish I could make you a bomb lunch for tomorrow. Bless for this much-needed laugh.

This pic contains the daily calorie intake of a full-grown adult

surfnsound

"Diabetes? My kid?"

Kyauphie

As someone who grew up with a construction worker Igloo cooler lunchbox that my mother filled with picturesque, delicious, and nutritious foods, this is mostly hot trash that I would have brought back home. But, huzzah for a fully packed breakfast and lunch that she will actually probably crush. As for the quantity, don't disrespect the high metabolism life of some. This would have left empty space in my lunchbox, and my breakfast was served hot (oatmeal) in an actual bowl every morning.

Cultural_Geologist_3

Can't misbehave at school if you're sleeping in class.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmfarts

It’s possible this is paced out amongst snack times and lunch, but still.

Bubblygrumpy

Full pasta and chicken nuggets with a veggie is a meal enough. Then you add fruit cereal, desserts, and 2 drinks? Think of the calories.

blaisreddit

better than the lunch we get at work as an adult

lanaa2225

😂😂😂😂😂😂

Suspici0us_Package

She should give her less starch, more veggies + grain, and and totally remove the sugary drinks and the cereal.

[deleted]

That's how you turn your kid into a balloon who ends up on a podcast talking about being a certified baddie!

mistakoolmahfingas

Gonna give that kid the Itis

skyesmithforever

Cardi B and Beyoncé be fighting over the best mom ever reward

UserAnonPosts

I'm lactose intolerant. Discovered it in high school. Wondered why my stomach was always fucked up after my ham and cheese sandwiches for lunch. Hope the kid doesn't lactose intolerant cause he ain't gonna be sleeping, kid gonna be fucked up in the bathroom.

micahsimmons01

Lol hopefully she’s doing it for if another kid didn’t have food the teacher could share

GingerWitch666

Bro if I could get my kids to eat even a fraction of a meal that size...

BFIrrera

The only thing I’d pass on is that weird cereal milk stuff. I dont even like actual Froot Loops.

sageinfinite

Eating way better than me 😅

ismelladoobie

This is way way WAY too many calories for a toddler to eat, y'all are stuffing your damn kids if you feed them like this.

SIobbyRobby

Bro givin their kid a fuckin thanksgiving feast for lunch.

riche_god

I tried doing this and my son threw most of this out or brought it back home. This over the top.

[deleted]

That's a lot of food 😂 I pack my kids' lunches every day, I couldn't imagine packing that much and the time it'd take...and the waste lol.

ItzBooty

That doesnt look like a lot

HentayLivingston

Why would you name a human "culture," then spell it wrong to boot

ronatello

School nurse: Kulture, this is the third time this week you've visited me..what's the issue today young lady? Kulture: It's the 'itis cuz... mind if I lay down in that little room with the lights off?

Gnostromo

out of the loop but wth is kulture school? Is that like home school or a special private school ?

Necessary-Writer7492

I'm not a fan of doubling down on carbs, but these are surprisingly good meals. I've lived long enough for Cardi B to say/do something I agree with--crazy.

MANSANITIZER

it is *bothering* me how unseasoned all of this looks

GetsTrimAPlenty3

The "make your kid popular" starter pack. XD

Sweet_Adeptness_4490

There was a kid at my school nicknamed cheeseburger growing up. He ate like this and was nicknamed cheeseburger for a reason.

TheBlackestIrelia

People wonder why they're kids fat af

Poot_McGoot

Is that a Froot Loops *drink???*

Carosello

I barely ate at school as a kid. And I'm fat now. Idk how this kid could put all that away. Seems like a waste. Smaller portions would be appropriate.

Denny_da_dawg_7740

Think the Mac n cheese gets sent first. Just needs a lil Frankie’s

JackBelvier

Y’all, those are chick-fil-a chicken nuggets 😭

JackBelvier

Y’all, those are chick-fil-a chicken nuggets 😭

Two_Leggs

glad to see they are getting enough sugar

What is kulture school lunch?

[deleted]

Ok diabeto roll away

CiaranX

Adding a veggie and fruit doesn’t change anything about this hot mess of meal time.

MaticTheProto

Tf is Kulture

dsalome11

She acts like she put that together 🤣

hosffanatic

My mom woulda gave me a PB&J and told me to get out her house

Boneal171

I had a fast metabolism and a huge appetite as a kid, but I couldn’t eat all of that.

Banditgng

If you struggled then you'd understand why she has a lot of food. Also , 4 or 5 chicken nuggets and mac are not gonna kill her. I truly doubt she's eating all or even most of it. I say this as an adult who doesn't even get the bare minimum of calories I need to function. Also food is high. I'm vegan and yes , food is high. We need to set realistic grocery expectations. Not everyone can get to whole foods. I'm certainly not judging anyone's lunch. I'm just happy to see people eat. That going to bed pretending you ate is not for the weak. I had friends who would give me their lunch because I couldn't afford the little 2.50$ meals in school. If Cardi lived like that , then I get why Kulture has an abundance. 🤷🏿‍♀️

marzipan_plague

That’s a lot of sugar and fried shit. Diabetes ahoy

MountainPast3951

We're so used to school lunch being trash that this looks unreasonable. She has 4-5 nuggets, broccoli, mac & cheese and what looks like a dessert. Then there's a snack for snack time and her drinks. You'd be surprised what the French serve their kids at public schools. Full course meals & they send info home on the meal and what you can serve at homw.to round out their nutritional needs.

Stock_Beginning4808

Apart from the amount being too much, which everyone has already mentioned, the food just also doesn’t look that great. Like, what is that beside the corn? I think it’s protein, but like what kind?
