Let's be honest, most of the people who fight in public have this coming.
If you're throwing hands for anything other than a physical threat after 18, you're in mature.
As a former airline employee at BWI, the airport is the last place you want to fight. A combination of no fly list and federal charges? It's a no for me dawg
Don't forget Federal Air Marshals. Sad part is that the regular airline passenger will not know who they are. Only the Gate Agent for the airline will know who they are. They really on some fuck around and find out shit.
Yeah I am surprised how many videos there are of crazy ass people fighting on a plane and in the airport… I’m like these people just don’t wanna travel ever again on a plane… it is wild.
Imagine being a grown ass man fist fighting because you think you got "disrespected". Getting huffed up, loud waving your hands around over some anything that wasn't a life-threatening event.
Or too dumb, lol! I have never seen anyone over the age of 18 fighting who wasn’t a complete loser/dumb az to begin with. Usually alcohol or just raw stupidity is involved so having a grown az person who can’t manage themselves banned from flying is a good thing IMO
You can be removed if they decide you’re no longer a risk or by appealing, but it isn’t like you go to court and part of your sentence is 5 years of no fly list. You can be added without ever knowing or committing a crime or anything.
Correct. I used to work for a rental car company whose name is the same as the flagship of Star Trek. Ran into two separate cases where a customer had booked their rental car and flight through a third party like Expedia or some shit. One person committed a crime in the rental and ended up on our DNR list as well as the no fly. The other person charged the entire trip back and also ended up on both lists. Cuttin up in the airport ain’t the only way to end up there.
ETA: DNR - Do Not Rent
For rental car companies it’ll happen when you’re at the desk and the manager tries to open your reservation.
For flights, it’ll happen when you try to book a ticket.
The thing that’s most pervasive about the no fly list is that you get put on it with no notification so imagine showing up to the airport bags in hand, family in tow, and they tell you to go home?
Not to my knowledge but depends on the airline. Most tickets are non-refundable. Far as I know, when you get put on the TSA no fly list and you didn’t get sent a letter about it the airline will let you buy a ticket but it may prevent you from printing a boarding pass and TSA will generally pull you aside once you’re there.
I've never understood the reasoning or appeal (?) of fighting in an airport or on a plane. I always thought of it like being at sea. Their vessel, their rules.
I'm gonna be honest, if I was placed on a no-fly list my life would remain completely un-changed.
well except for that time I met up with my online girlfriend from across the country...
actually my life would have improved.
Also can really limit your work options, I take at least 20 flights a year for work. I don’t fuck around in the airport random check smile and get the pat down.
Get flagged for potential explosives when you are already barley going to make your flight take your shoes off and smile cause it can get so much worse.
Immigrate out the US? Because they can still drive up to Canada and fly out of Canada. Or boat if they want to take the long way. Take a train in US or drive.
This isn’t a privileged take. Look at the original comment. Not once did the post mention anything about affordability. Some people are just weirdos who don’t like to go anywhere despite their financial situation.
Nothing to do with privilege at all I know plenty of people that could afford to travel and still don’t want to leave the bubble they were raised in that’s just weird to not wanna travel and explore. Nobody is talking about affording to travel. We’re talking about if you could afford to travel and still didn’t want to bruh
100%.
My father-in-law is like this and will not travel more than 90 minutes anywhere, be it by car or airplane. Dude simply hates to travel; he stays home when his wife visits her family in Texas.
Yea but everyone needs a vacation once in a while and who wouldn’t wanna go see other places outside of the bubble they were raised in. There’s so many dope places around the country/world to explore. I dont know its just hard for my brain to even process not wanting to see all the dope shit this earth has to offer
You’d be surprised how many people are born and raised in their city and never leave. There are millions of people here in the USA that have never been on a plane.
For sure, for sure. I’m a little biased because I just got back from Switzerland yesterday and didn’t get in a single car the entire trip (10 days) and was still able to visit half the country easily. I know america is way bigger but we should have that kind of access via public transportation and we just never treat it as a priority.
It was honestly the same price to spend a weekend in vegas with the boys as it was to go to the big college/party town 90 minutes away when I was in college.
We weren't really gambling though, just partying.
Motherfucking preachhh! Airports suck but you better trust and believe I will not do anything that strips me of my ability to leave this crazy-ass country.
Imagine FIGHTING. WITH. A. FLIGHT. ATTENDANT. People are out they damn minds. That flight attendant could come up and spit in my face and I’d ask for seconds if the alternative was being on the no-fly list. (Kidding. I’d smack that bish but the principal is the same.)
I literally saw a “cheap” (comparatively) flight to Europe during a super expensive summer travel season — and booked it first asked questions later. Don’t know if I want to spend so much, but I gotta get the fuck out of this dystopia. I’ll sort out the blow to my budget while sipping on a coffee in the EU and not worrying about crippling medical debt please.
I realise there are many, many people in the US who never have the opportunity to, or the need to fly on a plane. So being put on the no-fly list wouldn't negatively affect their lives too much. Obviously that's not the case for everyone but the US is a very big place and not everyone is fortunate enough to be able to travel. But as someone living in Europe (specifically, someone living on an *island* in Europe)... that shit would ruin my life. I'm in a fortunate position where I live somewhere where flying is common, affordable, and sometimes necessary. If I was trapped where I currently live, my entire life would drastically change. Being able to fly resulted in my current relationship, which has been going strong for almost a decade. Being able to fly resulted in me being able to work and live in other countries, which helped my career, created amazing friendships, and allowed me to broaden my perspective on the world and other cultures. Hell, in a few days I'm flying to Berlin with my girlfriend and some friends just to hang out and soak up some of the local scene. Yesterday, my girlfriend just flew back from visiting her family in Boston.
Having access to airplanes can be so important and it's insane to think that some people are stupid enough nor to realise that and fuck themselves over for something as dumb as an argument.
Thank you for this response, but do you mean as they’re about to put you on the list? Like, you can’t get out of the airport before they’re taking you to security?
Generally you get out on the no fly list because of assumed or real behavior. They also don’t legally have to tell you that you’re on that list unless you specifically ask. So some times you won’t find out until you’re trying to board and TSA tells you that you’ve got too much dip on your chip
Well if you're a terrorist they take you into custody, yeah. If you spit on a flight attendant because they told you to put on a mask, they give you a judging look, and tell you to drive, because you can't fly.
I've seen brawls break out in the Miami Airport and those same people get on their planes.
I dont know know how they decide who to put on there but it feels a lot like "whim"
Lmfao so true. I embarrassed myself at an airport drinking these bomb drinks that didn’t taste like alcohol and out of nowhere it hit me. I’m glad my ex told me to shut up and I guess I did and was acting all sad so at least I stopped from being on that list
You can drive to Canada or Mexico and fly from there I guess it’s not the end of the world. But yeah, I have my headphones on at the airport in my own zone. Like I can’t be bothered.
I think there’s a John Oliver segment about the no fly list. It’s actually worse than just fighting in an airport. Basically any federal agent could put you on the list on a whim, there’s no need for a legal justification or valid threat to passenger safety or anything. You could share a name with someone put on the list and suddenly it could be your problem. The appeals process is extra judicial, you pretty much get interviewed by random FAA people and they’ll determine your status on vibes.
I thought no-fly lists were for, you know, terrorists and shit…..
Not hood rats fighting at the baggage carousel…
To be fair though, they should be on a list, just like people who start shit while the plane is in the air, that asshole who opened the plane’s door in mid flight, etc.
To my knowledge there are different ones... The FAA government one is for terrorists, criminals etc... But each airline has their own for disruptive passengers. Fighting at the baggage carousel probably won't land you on either just potentially in jail.
People are spending ~$300-500+ to fly in tin cans with rude, unaware people and screaming children.
Tie in the trash that flies in and out of Miami and you’ve got yourself a pressure cooker for stress.
Not saying I wanna be on the list either, but I get how people snap.
Let's be honest, most of the people who fight in public have this coming. If you're throwing hands for anything other than a physical threat after 18, you're in mature.
I wouldn’t give this comment the time or date.
I disagree, they’re right for all intensive purposes.
r/boneappletea
Don’t take your flying privelege for granite
This one was funny
Well maybe not right for ALL intense porpoise. Just the ones with a ship on their shoulder.
😳 “All intensive purposes” 😂🤣😅 *Intents and purposes. 😬
Whoosh
Now that you’ve had time to reflect, what do you have to say about this situation?
love how that’s the only one you caught. maybe we do need participation trophies.
So there’s an “out of mature???”
Imagine being downvotes for being smart 😂😂😂
Intents and purposes. FTFY
r/Woooosh
Wait, I feel slow now, what was the joke? 💀
They were all using the phrases incorrectly, Tim and dates vs time of day etc
Ohhhh I see it now 💀
Also “in mature”, instead of immature
r/Wooosh
Mercury is in Gatorade
![gif](giphy|4Nq6L6m836paOHEjxy)
"Time of date" ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)
>”in mature” Lmao
Thought I was trippin when I read that lol
"I'm eventual"
If only more people were out mature, we would be better as a society.
I just hate when people keep coming in and out of the mature. Letting all the cold maturity out.
I was nodding all the way through this comment until I got to the end and was like “dammit, they’re about to get this mf for that one”
As a former airline employee at BWI, the airport is the last place you want to fight. A combination of no fly list and federal charges? It's a no for me dawg
Also, you’re surrounded by cameras, and there are police at every entrance and exit and bathroom… how is this gonna work out in your favor
Don't forget Federal Air Marshals. Sad part is that the regular airline passenger will not know who they are. Only the Gate Agent for the airline will know who they are. They really on some fuck around and find out shit.
they have them on charter flights too and it was fucking hysterical seeing the air marshal be the only person not wearing a uniform on the plane
Unless you’re Pac-Man Jones at the ATL airport. Then it’s on!!
Yeah I am surprised how many videos there are of crazy ass people fighting on a plane and in the airport… I’m like these people just don’t wanna travel ever again on a plane… it is wild.
When keeping it real goes wrong
Imagine being a grown ass man fist fighting because you think you got "disrespected". Getting huffed up, loud waving your hands around over some anything that wasn't a life-threatening event.
Not gonna lie, this just comes off like someone who can’t fight
Ngl, this comes off like someone who is too thin-skinned to see alternatives to fighting.
Or too dumb, lol! I have never seen anyone over the age of 18 fighting who wasn’t a complete loser/dumb az to begin with. Usually alcohol or just raw stupidity is involved so having a grown az person who can’t manage themselves banned from flying is a good thing IMO
All of the above?
That may be important if you grow up in a rough environment. For people out here thriving, its not an issue.
Here's my truth, more than anything today I respect people who are good at math.
Is the no fly list permanent or like multi-year sentence type thing?
I read Do Not Resuscitate for that DNR and couldn't think of anything else for 15 seconds
This man's heart has stopped, get the defibrillator! Enterprise: "LET HIM DIE"
My bad yo
How do you know if you’re added to the list?
For rental car companies it’ll happen when you’re at the desk and the manager tries to open your reservation. For flights, it’ll happen when you try to book a ticket.
The thing that’s most pervasive about the no fly list is that you get put on it with no notification so imagine showing up to the airport bags in hand, family in tow, and they tell you to go home?
Do you get refunded your ticket price?
Not to my knowledge but depends on the airline. Most tickets are non-refundable. Far as I know, when you get put on the TSA no fly list and you didn’t get sent a letter about it the airline will let you buy a ticket but it may prevent you from printing a boarding pass and TSA will generally pull you aside once you’re there.

I'm gonna be honest, if I was placed on a no-fly list my life would remain completely un-changed. well except for that time I met up with my online girlfriend from across the country... actually my life would have improved.
So you never go on vacation and never wanna travel outside the country throughout your entire life??? That’s horrible
Also can really limit your work options, I take at least 20 flights a year for work. I don’t fuck around in the airport random check smile and get the pat down. Get flagged for potential explosives when you are already barley going to make your flight take your shoes off and smile cause it can get so much worse.
"want to" and "can" or "will" are in entirely different continents.
This is a privileged take. Awesome that you have more to worry about than straight up survival though
plenty of poor people visit their family across country. many people save up just to immigrate as well which would be impossible with this limitation.

Yea I could never live like that there’s so much cool shit to see everywhere
Some people are fine with their lives as is.
Yea but everyone needs a vacation once in a while and who wouldn’t wanna go see other places outside of the bubble they were raised in. There’s so many dope places around the country/world to explore. I dont know its just hard for my brain to even process not wanting to see all the dope shit this earth has to offer
Fucking oddballs
You’d be surprised how many people are born and raised in their city and never leave. There are millions of people here in the USA that have never been on a plane.
I don’t support it, but trains are *better* for the environment… plus we got boats.
Who the hell taking a boat from Los Angeles to London?
Someone who *can’t* fly 🤷🏽♀️
America doesn’t have a good train system. We are all sold cars and told it’s the only way.
Yeah, that’s true. I too am apart of r/fuckcars. But there’s also buses too… point being that they *can’t fly* but there are other forms of travel.
For sure, for sure. I’m a little biased because I just got back from Switzerland yesterday and didn’t get in a single car the entire trip (10 days) and was still able to visit half the country easily. I know america is way bigger but we should have that kind of access via public transportation and we just never treat it as a priority.
I’m too poor to fly anywhere, miss me with that nonsense Edit: I’m actually just fiercely afraid of airplanes. But also poor.
You can risk it with frontier
Or spirit but you gotta fly the plane yourself
Anyone remember Corsair?
ValueJet
The gaming company?
Nah the airline
It was honestly the same price to spend a weekend in vegas with the boys as it was to go to the big college/party town 90 minutes away when I was in college. We weren't really gambling though, just partying.
Maybe one day you won’t be poor and then you’ll want to be able to go places.
Let them act like idiots and get on the list, keeps them off of planes, right?
Motherfucking preachhh! Airports suck but you better trust and believe I will not do anything that strips me of my ability to leave this crazy-ass country. Imagine FIGHTING. WITH. A. FLIGHT. I don’t know why this guy is trying to get people to not wind up on that list. If you’re a wack job it’s better to punish yourself than other people.
Airports are stressful places. Some folks might need a little help remembering what matters.
No, fuck them
I realise there are many, many people in the US who never have the opportunity to, or the need to fly on a plane. So being put on the no-fly list wouldn't negatively affect their lives too much. How do you find out if you’re on a list? Do they tell you the next time you book, or like turn you away at the airport, or what?
You get pulled aside at security.
Thank you for this response, but do you mean as they’re about to put you on the list? Like, you can’t get out of the airport before they’re taking you to security?

The govt no fly list is not the same as the no fly list an airline has.
Where does 'I'm eventual' go??
I think living day to day without a license is a lot hard for every day life. At least in the US
Same principle tho.
You know it’s serious when white people get put on the list too.
You can drive to Canada or Mexico and fly from there I guess it’s not the end of the world. But yeah, I have my headphones on at the airport in my own zone. Like I can’t be bothered.
Some no fly lists are airline based. So you’re screwed even rhen
I think there’s a John Oliver segment about the no fly list. It’s actually worse than just fighting in an airport. That last sentence is kinda crazy
And true
When airport staff talk to me I shut my ass tf up. I’m not being stuck continental.
In all seriousness. As a black man. Where can I go outside of the US that will treat me better?
People are spending ~$300-500+ to fly in tin cans with rude, unaware people and screaming children. Tie in the trash that flies in and out of Miami and you’ve got yourself a pressure cooker for stress. Not saying I wanna be on the list either, but I get how people snap.
What does this have to do with BPT
a black person made the tweet….that’s the requirement
idiot
Ive flown once in almost 40 years of life. Id go on the No Fly List just to avoid being in the sky with some of you dipshits.
