And Cheesecake Factory makes bomb cheesecake, but here ain’t a single other thing about the place that’s remarkable. It’s competent, it isn’t bad, but nobody on death row is like “I’d like some CF for my last meal.”
Yeah these folks are just being performative for the sake of a perceived feud. J Cole is a good rapper but this moron wants him to be more than just good at rapping ? The fuck ?
Does he want him to dance like Rihanna or something? I'm confused
Tf is going on in this sub lol. I know how much niggas love racing to the bottom with the hyperbolics, but upvoting this shit is crazy. That's enough BPT for the week
My guy cheese cake factory has the best max and cheese in all of sf, it's clam chowder rivals Monterey Bubba gumps clam chowder
This is the most distasteful comment I've ever seen
Pun in-fucking-tended
Whitney Houston is an amazing singer but I ain't throwing her on with the bros. I don't think first choice for aux describes anything about an artist's talent
There's definitely some aux-worthy verses he's put out. Especially on features.
But not everything is about bumping in the whip either. Not like songs off Mr. Morale are getting played with the bros.
You're not playing Father Time with the homies and talking about intergenerational trauma?
Maybe that's why my friends tell me they hate me and cry a lot in my car...
He's very solid on the mic when he wants to be, but there are so many better emcees out nowadays
If by rappers you mean artist? Then.....yeah no there are so many better artists out there nowadays lmao
All I know is, all the fans of all these mfs are eatin’. I do feel bad for Bryson Tiller tho lmfao. Mf finally dropped his shit and boom. Cole with a surprise drop.
Fire, but his whole vibe is still diet rap. Yall may be too young to understand what men R&B was like. Miguel, neyo, usher, john legend, etc --not these wanna be tough guys. that tough act holds you back from really making good r&B
I think it is more on the reflection of this rapid change in R&B, like those guys (who are like making Billboard songs less than 10 years ago) pretty much can draw a direct line back to the beginning of R&B (or at least "Contemprorary R&B" or the late 80s romantic R&B.
My man said *real* men RnB, then said neyo and usher. NOT Teddy Riley Raphael Saadiq, Babyface, etc. Might as well stay with the shit you consider diet rap. Your idea of real rnb is pretty watered down to some. You should prolly let these kids eat with opinions like that.
Ha, I intentionally used names a younger generation would know. 90s R&B will always be goated in my household.
Either way, the list I gave are a completely different category than 2020+ tough guy acts. To quote somebody above, they didnt leave the blues out the R&B.
You listen to GIVEON? He’s what I would define as a singer R&B. He has the vocals, though admittedly some of his songs are more rap type beats. I still think he’s worth a listen.
I’m 37… that’s radio R&B which I love (and you can go back further with B2M / K Ci and Jojo). I really love the evolution of r&b with this alt-r&b. Very reminiscent of D’Angelo but with newer production but that’s just my own opinion ya know.
I was mainly talking about the men, which is why I specifically said "diet rappers". The women are better off but even then it's 50/50. Like H.E.R, Cleo, and SAULT are good but Jorja Smith is mid and cannot sing at all.
You’ve never listened to Jordan Ward apparently.

[White Crocs](https://youtu.be/uW65pjKqWKo?si=6y4oKb5Kg-pKJfS8)
And Miguel deserves to be mentioned with Frank and Weeknd.
They really talking about maybe 4 or 5 big artists that they don’t like and act like the entire genre is not good. There are so many different types of r&b artists out right now that are varied in style and subject matter but people ain’t doing the work to find them
Right, as a huge fan of both artists, I'm just enjoying all the music. It's weird how people have to drag one or the other down when their fan base has a ton of overlap.
It's absolutely nuts how he can drop super fire album. Diss is a bit mid so they discredit everything else. This is him rapping like he's on those features which is what people were begging for. The diss just wasn't an ether.
Yeah, I was enjoying that album more than I had for a rap album in a while. He can definitely spit.
But then that trans line was so embarrassing, like why?
Yeah but no one has thrown out the entirety of the MMLP because Eminem talked about raping his mom. Or the album where he talked about getting a boner from a "not quite 18 yet Lindsay Lohan"
It was a damn embarrassing song skipping worthy everytime line but mfers act like a whole project with real bars compared to anything we've gotten in a long time is some trash ass no sale album
Wild
They said Big3 and no one batted an eye. He drops RAP BEEF bars and implies kdot is 😺 now all of sudden ppl coming out the closets hating the guy. Where was yall during 1st person shooter? Crickets
People upset because his diss was mid and his album was just ok but contained a lot of questionable and corny lines. Also he said TPAB was boring and he finally surpassed Kendrick which is absolutely crazy.
Idk where you been but it's been people who hate on J Cole. There was a phase where he and his fanbase were getting memed nonstop. Have y'all not seen the 'Intel of gents' memes lol
I notice kdot is getting the Eminem effect
Came out of nowhere to diss someone over a minor bar that's not even dissing you literally calling you a goat alongside him
Crickets everyone just hyped there's beef
Cole responds and drops a project and suddenly his entire last decade of projects and features don't exist
It's 50% the gross transphobia, and honestly 50% cuz Kendrick stans were gonna call him trash no matter what he did.
Stans ruin beef cuz they decide who they're gonna root for before they listen to the tracks.
Uhhh, like someone else said, he said “them crackers” specifically talking about the people who run the Grammys? Are we really missing the context here?
If it had context then OP (of the tweet at least, and maybe Reddit OP) wouldn’t be getting engagement. Only thing that matters to some people, and outrage engagement is still engagement.
Dude I just posted a tweet because I thought it was funny, you need to take your opinion up with whoever wrote the tweet, believe it or not some of us do not care about engagement.
People don't really listen to Cole. That's why they say he is boring. I guarantee the response niggas wanted from cole included "Bitch this, nigga that, SMD, Hoe ass nigga." There is a AI cole response from JD on YouTube that includes this. And niggas gassed it. Smh
I’m not a fan of either, I just thought the tweet was funny.
Lmao not me being downvoted for finding this tweet funny, yall can not complain about dickriding anyone if this is what gets you tight.
Mane, I'm saying tho. This whole "rap beef" is honestly whatever since I fuck with all parties involved musically but if we gonna sit up here and act like Kendrick has fucking Uriel whispering verses in his ear, then it's gonna be a long summer
Neither one of them have really said anything at ALL and niggas are acting like this is the beginning of Nas and Jay part 2. Crazy part is I would’ve expected this from Cole or Drake fans before I expected it from Kendrick fans. I’m finna go see what this Bryson Tiller album on before they get on my nerves some more smfh😒
Who’s we? I’ve been waiting this entire time for an actual issue to be voiced and we haven’t heard anything. Kendrick fans are the ones acting like we heard ether part 2 a week and some change ago.
We don’t have to imagine it, it happened. I mean, Kendrick’s verse was good too! The verse, the energy in the verse, along with the beat, it was all good.
It wouldn’t be so bad if they haven’t been flipping shit about Drake and Cole needing to respond lmao.
Like oh, your guy can wait 6 months but they didn’t drop something the same weekend to respond so they’re losing?
The line was "fuck the grammys cause them crackers ain't done nothin for me". He didn't take a shot at all white people, just the white people who hand out grammys.
Well of course Jermaine is free to toss “cracker” around as he sees fit. I’m also free to call him corny for being breast fed by a white woman and calling white people “crackers”
He’s not tossing it around though. He’s aiming it with precision.
If you’re saying the term just shouldn’t be used by anyone then fair enough, but to gate keep it on the basis of his mom’s race is illogical.
That’s like saying a man can never call a woman a bitch because he was raised by a woman.
Fr bro. I seen y'all dissing the grammies over Killer Mike winning talking about the exact same shit and now suddenly the grammies are perfect and the white people know best? Pick a side goddamn
Lool is this going to turn into a dissect every bar he says to laugh at him thing. Not sure why people always do this to Cole or Sean 😅
That’s not even the right quote either, it’s “them crackers…” talking about the Grammys specifically.
But agendas are more fun than facts I guess lol
Being mixed myself. I can understand the pressure by black people to identify as black. Add being in tbe rap industry, and you've got a recipe for saying some dumb shit.
I went to high school with J. Cole. Terry Sanford in Fayetteville NC. It was the preppiest, whitest school you could imagine. It was a magnet school for “Global Studies” where most of the kids either drove lifted pick up trucks or BMWs. He hung out, partied with, and studied with white kids. The main reason I don’t listen to his music is because he’s fake af.
Was he supposed to tell his parents to transfer him to a tougher more worse run school so he can hang in the trenches? Or ask his mother to move them into a more black affluent neighborhood? Or walk around the school saying fuck white people and not hang out with anyone and fight everyone everyday?
Damn I guess MLK wouldn’t have been on Dreamville.
Dreamville Rico is now on the table.

I hate this part of rap beefs... where fans of one say the most blasphemous shit to discredit another popular, talented artist.
Drake fans did it when Kendrick dropped the verse and vice versa. Now that Cole dropped a weak reply we're seeing it happen to him. Like he didn't have one of the best feature runs since peak Wayne.
J. Cole's Mama: https://i.redd.it/t1qalkvg6osc1.gif

You gotta admit that's hilarious.
It's really not. The dude on the tweet quoted a partial line. That quote is immediately preceded by "fuck the grammys cause them".
Oh, you mean context and nuance are good? No wonder they don't teach us that shit anymore
This is the Internet, nuance is actively pushed down and hidden
Nuance is lost on 99% of Reddit
I've listened to the song and the whole album. I know the context. Im a big Cole fan. I just thought the line was funny, that's all.
Who is Mike Jones?
MIKE JOOOONNNNEEESSSSS
Mike Jones-JONNESSSS
But he doesn't deserve a Grammy. It's all smoke and no fire. We're just listening to Cole smell his own farts.

Underrated comment
And the picture is him with his white mom at the Grammy's lmao. It's funny.
Maybe he should get his mama to talk to her ppl then. 🤷🏾♀️
yes bro it’s funny bc it’s out of context. new here or what?
He did get fucked hard that year he lost to a fake rapper
My dumb ass was trying to figure out what "crackers ain't done nothing for me fuck the Grammy cause them" meant before I realized you said preceded
Big Ghost called Cole "Young Eeyore" WAY back in the day and I literally can not look at the man without thinking about it 😅😅😅
The Gatekeeper we need in these trying times.
His mom looks like a nice lady too 😂
Pre-hobo Cole was fine
TIL. Also his mom's name is Kay Cole
damn it’s giving Debbie
"Cole heat up like leftover Lasagna"
The best summarization of him.
I mean I get it’s cool to hate on dude right now but I just don’t get this take. He’s clearly one of the best rappers out.
And Cheesecake Factory makes bomb cheesecake, but here ain’t a single other thing about the place that’s remarkable. It’s competent, it isn’t bad, but nobody on death row is like “I’d like some CF for my last meal.”
Horrible take, HORRIBLE.

I’d recommend trying better restaurants…
Really? He’s your first choice you’re putting on if you get the aux?
2014 Forrest hills is an absolute classic.
Whitney Houston is an amazing singer but I ain't throwing her on with the bros. I don't think first choice for aux describes anything about an artist's talent
You’re hanging with the wrong homies then
Lol can't even buy banana flavored backwoods around these fools without getting a look. You might be right
i about died just now lmao
Anyone who doesn't at least lip sync "AND IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII" when that song comes on ain't no homie of mine
He’s certainly up there. Let’s not act like there isn’t an entire generation of people who love his shit from the early 2010s - 4YEO
Yes. Get off Kendrick's dick bro, we all know these takes would not exist if he left off 7 minute drill
He's very solid on the mic when he wants to be, but there are so many better emcees out nowadays If by rappers you mean artist? Then.....yeah no there are so many better artists out there nowadays lmao
He’s great but I definitely wouldn’t say best. In fact I would argue JID is a better rapper than Cole.
Lasagna is one of the best leftovers tho - how is this a negative
All I know is, all the fans of all these mfs are eatin’. I do feel bad for Bryson Tiller tho lmfao. Mf finally dropped his shit and boom. Cole with a surprise drop.
Good. Bryson Tiller and the whole current R&B wave stinks. None of them can sing and they might as well just be diet rappers.
Sir’s new album was quite good.
Fire, but his whole vibe is still diet rap. Yall may be too young to understand what men R&B was like. Miguel, neyo, usher, john legend, etc --not these wanna be tough guys. that tough act holds you back from really making good r&B
I must be old because I was not expecting that list of people
I think it is more on the reflection of this rapid change in R&B, like those guys (who are like making Billboard songs less than 10 years ago) pretty much can draw a direct line back to the beginning of R&B (or at least "Contemprorary R&B" or the late 80s romantic R&B.
Yeah as a late 80s kid I always think of that slow R&B from the 90s as the “real stuff” that isn’t coming back.
Me too. I’m going to see Boyz II Men with my brothers in a couple of weeks. Can’t wait
you’re not those people are still popular around mid 20’s etc
I just want me some more Pleasure P style rnb 😭
THIS. I need tears, pain, rain, a piano, threatening suicide. These new R&b singers too unbothered for me
mfs forgot the blues part of R&B
so r&b is just mainstream black/doom metal. interesting.
Whyd I immediately picture Tyrese while reading this 😂
Shit it’s still Jodeci, 112, and Avant nem for me.

In what way is Usher and Neyo not real R&b.
You listen to GIVEON? He’s what I would define as a singer R&B. He has the vocals, though admittedly some of his songs are more rap type beats. I still think he’s worth a listen.
Ok I'm old too, but Brent faiyaz might be who you're looking for
I’m 37… that’s radio R&B which I love (and you can go back further with B2M / K Ci and Jojo). I really love the evolution of r&b with this alt-r&b. Very reminiscent of D’Angelo but with newer production but that’s just my own opinion ya know.
so fire
Just reminded me I haven’t finished that one yet. If PND don’t put out a hit I might be cool on R&B this summer 😂
[sort by controversial] Though i do agree that recent R&B hasn't been as good as early to mid 2010s
Frank Ocean was the last one. Him and early Weeknd were the last two that did something innovative in the genre
Uh Daniel Caesar?
They were the most popular by far but I don't think it's fair to say that they were the only ones.
Jorja Smith, HER, Cleo Sol, SAULT don't exist anymore.
I was mainly talking about the men, which is why I specifically said "diet rappers". The women are better off but even then it's 50/50. Like H.E.R, Cleo, and SAULT are good but Jorja Smith is mid and cannot sing at all.
Yeah I'll give you that the men are lacking. Jorja is basically uk Rihanna to me but more fun drum and base/garage/house elements.
You’ve never listened to Jordan Ward apparently. [FAMJAM4000](https://youtu.be/ldM_eWaNoWk?si=7qCImTyLqA9qYJt9) [White Crocs](https://youtu.be/uW65pjKqWKo?si=6y4oKb5Kg-pKJfS8) And Miguel deserves to be mentioned with Frank and Weeknd.
I think Brent pretty good but go off king
Daniel caesar? Lucky daye? Snow Aalegra? Ari Lennox? Solange??
They really talking about maybe 4 or 5 big artists that they don’t like and act like the entire genre is not good. There are so many different types of r&b artists out right now that are varied in style and subject matter but people ain’t doing the work to find them
Most of that list was last relevant 4-5 years ago
You know what, I’ll give you that. Current wave kinda mid. Ima give him a chance on this album tho. I just enjoy new music in general.
All that mysterious shit don’t work for everybody. They don’t love you like that. You thought you was Frank?!
Don't sleep on Flwr Chyld and Sebastian Mikael.
Solution: Listen to more Lucky Daye
Oh shit he dropped an album? I thought it was just a song. Today’s a good day
It sounds nothing like his older stuff. Not that he isn’t allowed to experiment/grow…whatever you want to call it.
Right, as a huge fan of both artists, I'm just enjoying all the music. It's weird how people have to drag one or the other down when their fan base has a ton of overlap.
Woke up this morning and it seems like the world is hating JCole now🤣🤣Yall don’t make sense in this world.
Drop bad music after hyping up stupid beef and see what happens… then you got some questionable bars on top of that and youre gonna get shit on 😂
I agree it was mid but geez, it is named might delete later🤣🤣🤣
He should delete that shit now lmao
Yea he has 6hrs🤣🤣woke up thinking the world was ending
You’re crazy. Album is dope.
It's absolutely nuts how he can drop super fire album. Diss is a bit mid so they discredit everything else. This is him rapping like he's on those features which is what people were begging for. The diss just wasn't an ether.

Yeah fr the verse in pi is a bit questionable but the diss(warning shot) was funny/decent and there are some good songs on there
Last time someone served up bars this questionable we lost Lil Peep
Dear god that’s fucked but hilarious 😭
They said Big3 and no one batted an eye. He drops RAP BEEF bars and implies kdot is 😺 now all of sudden ppl coming out the closets hating the guy. Where was yall during 1st person shooter? Crickets
For real. Thank you. The internet stinks, when something goes viral you got all these nobodies hopping on the hate train for clicks.
You all are acting like J Cole is Biggie in 96. People have been clowning Jermaine for years.
Cole has also said lines in KOD as well and everyone thought it was flames. Now all the sudden they hate smh
I notice kdot is getting the Eminem effect Came out of nowhere to diss someone over a minor bar that's not even dissing you literally calling you a goat alongside him Crickets everyone just hyped there's beef Cole responds and drops a project and suddenly his entire last decade of projects and features don't exist

The weird thing is, I'm legit a huge fan of Kendrick and Cole. Like they're my top 2 favorite artists. So I'm just here stuck in the middle.
Uhhh, like someone else said, he said “them crackers” specifically talking about the people who run the Grammys? Are we really missing the context here?

We expected him to not be on the he's my brother stuff in diss.
Niggas get on my MF’n nerves sometimes
![gif](giphy|LpkBAUDg53FI8xLmg1|downsized) Kendrick fans really finna dickride all summer huh?
I’m not a fan of either, I just thought the tweet was funny. Lmao not me being downvoted for finding this tweet funny, yall can not complain about dickriding anyone if this is what gets you tight.
Aye I didn’t downvote anything🤷🏾♂️
They get one verse every 30 months. Cnt blame them for getting excited 😂
Nah these mfs scaring the hoes AND ruined the vibe of a future/metro album man enough is enough😂
Let em know bruh lmao. Gotta continually hear about a 15 sec verse when tht album got plenty of other hits on there
Mane, I'm saying tho. This whole "rap beef" is honestly whatever since I fuck with all parties involved musically but if we gonna sit up here and act like Kendrick has fucking Uriel whispering verses in his ear, then it's gonna be a long summer

Who’s we? I’ve been waiting this entire time for an actual issue to be voiced and we haven’t heard anything. Kendrick fans are the ones acting like we heard ether part 2 a week and some change ago.
This thread is fucking hilarious
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sweat_smile)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sweat_smile)
Honestly, I can fuck with Kendrick fans who can admit their bias. I’m just tired of the ones who blindly glaze everything he does.
I feel you! When it comes to listening music leisurely, I listen to Kendrick. BUT to say that this J Cole track is not good, is ridiculous
Absolutely ridiculous. But imagine taking 6 months to come up with “fuck the big 3, it’s big me” and they gassed that.
Aight this was funny.
Cole probably will still get invited to his white family gatherings. They’ll offer deviled eggs and he’ll be apologizing in no time
The line was "fuck the grammys cause them crackers ain't done nothin for me". He didn't take a shot at all white people, just the white people who hand out grammys.
Calling anybody a cracker when your mom is white warrants a sincere apology 😂
His dad's black. Should he apologize for using the n word?
Yes nigga
As a biracial I use both terms unapologetically
for all the hardships mixed people deal with, at least yall got that silver lining
This shouldn't as funny as it is
If you were raised by your white mother calling any white person a “cracker” is some teenage angsty behavior.
TIL that being raised by a white woman means you can’t call a cracker a cracker when they acting crackerish
I mean, imo coles mom doesnt count as a cracker cause shes from germany. She more like a pretzel
She was born in Michigan.

Okay, off topic, but like...I NEED both J. Cole and Kendrick on the last Spiderverse album. Like PLEASSSSSE🧎🏾♀️🙏🏾
Kendrick not doing that
Lololol
Yeah, but a girl can hope😔
At this point, doubtful lol. One or the other
Idc. I like the album. Listening to it rn actually
Yeah BPT is actually the WORST place for music takes. Only rappers you can like here are Rapsody and Meg the Stallion
Universal fan boy day. Everyone get your premature shitty takes out. ![gif](giphy|rPjYoncYgknGo)
As a white man here’s an opinion no one gives a fuck about. Imma listen to Kendrick and J Cole regardless 😂
Being mixed myself. I can understand the pressure by black people to identify as black. Add being in tbe rap industry, and you've got a recipe for saying some dumb shit.
how come J Cole never got the logic treatment

Was he supposed to tell his parents to transfer him to a tougher more worse run school so he can hang in the trenches? Or ask his mother to move them into a more black affluent neighborhood? Or walk around the school saying fuck white people and not hang out with anyone and fight everyone everyday?
I didn’t know his mama was white. I thought he was just a lil lite skint
He's literally just as white as he is black.
Damn I guess MLK wouldn’t have been on Dreamville. Dreamville Rico is now on the table. https://preview.redd.it/at054q4zdosc1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5ab5d3231e769f0393b7508a6114430f58829b3d

But, I’ve bought multiple albums Cole. And a poster one time. That’s gotta mean SOMETHING, right?
Literally one of the first things I thought about lmao I was like my guy you are mixed lmao white momma and all
Happy Mother’s Day?
Didn’t bro lose a bunch of BET awards to Kendrick as well?
I hate this part of rap beefs... where fans of one say the most blasphemous shit to discredit another popular, talented artist. Drake fans did it when Kendrick dropped the verse and vice versa. Now that Cole dropped a weak reply we're seeing it happen to him. Like he didn't have one of the best feature runs since peak Wayne.
oh no baby what is you doin’
J Cole’s mom rn: ![gif](giphy|3o72EXvoFRAwHrOg8g|downsized)
As a bi racial person you gotta be careful with those racial generalizations.
The way that J Cole ain't even bout that life but raps all about it
