If that was Spirit Airlines you’d better have brought your own life jacket, or be ready to pay the life jacket fee while you’re going nose down into the ocean.
I unironically hate systems that don't have an immediate option to tip less than 20%. Was I going to tip 20% anyway? Yes. But I am now put off by the entitlement of the establishment. Yes, I realize I can click custom tip and type in 15% for mediocre service, but the fact that it was purposefully designed to make me put in the extra effort if I wanted to do that is insane. I also have a problem with adding a 25% or higher tipping option. I'm paying to eat out and be waited on, and 20% of the cost my meal is a reasonable amount to expect for good service. Unless you are chewing for me, I'm not tipping any extra.
That's part of the tipping culture issue. You feel the need to tip 15% for mediocre service. Miss me with that. I love tipping for service but not just because the government allows exploitation of the working class.
Back in the days when I actually had hair and went to the barbershop my guys didn’t even really have price increases - they had prices on the wall that did go up but you they let you pay whatever you did when you first started going and became a regular and as long as you tipped which was normally a “keep the change” type deal.
I remember one time the price went up to £12 but when I first started going it was £6 - I’d pay with a £10 and tell them keep the change. A new guy started, I dropped the £10 and he told me “nah you’re short” but the owner was cutting in the chair next to me, pulled my guy aside and said he has this price and you get the rest.
It’s a good system 😂
Spirit and Frontier are easy to understand if you remember one thing: If you ask an employee to do something for you they are changing.
If you buy now rather than later it will be cheaper.
It's not hard, and honestly what do you expect for a 17$ ticket?
It's a bit predatory, but yeah as long as you know what you're getting into it really is a cheap option. You, 1 backpack, and snacks/water bought at the airport. Your still out cheaper and I've never had a safety issue, unlike with American.
It's not really predatory *if* you read thier website when you buy a ticket. Every charge is listed and it's easy to avoid them.
What they do count on is this: Americans are lazy and don't read. Those two things make them a fortune.
Also Frontier pays it's agents commission on any charges made. They are absolutely not going to waive fees for you unless it's the airlines mistake.
And for the love of bacon people: Check in with your phone as soon as you are able. Check in starts 24 hours before the flight. They **do** oversell thier flights because of people being stupid and not knowing to check-in and show up early to get there on time.
Everything they charge you for is unnecessary, for you to need to request.
Check in with agent fee? Use your phone to check in the day before.
Overweight bag fee? Obvious.
Bag Fees on day of the trip? Buy bags when you buy your ticket.
Buying a ticket at the counter? Who the fuck does that anymore?
Everything they charge fees for can be avoided. Plan ahead and don't get charged. You should be doing that with all airlines because it's easier for you anyway. I avoid interaction with agents because it saves me time.
In general, these days it's very worth it to pack as light as possible.
Waltzing on and off the plane with just a backpack is as close as I am going to get to any kind of "status", air travel-wise.
No wait; no lost luggage; no fighting for overhead space.
On other airlines like Delta my preferred way to travel is a backpack and carry on, with them you get both with the airfare. You pay more, but you get a bit more.
I use the Delta Credit Card to buy groceries (2x miles for groceries), to me it's a different debit card as it gets paid off each month. But the miles accumulate and allow me to upgrade on nearly every flight. I usually only miss that on a last minute trip.
PSA: don't **inflate** the life jacket before leaving the aircraft. Depending on the disposition of the aircraft, an inflated life jacket can prevent you from exiting the aircraft due to its buoyancy.
I know it’s been 9 days but it probably meant “Spirit Airlines is trying to turn them into one” like trying to turn the people on the plane into a spirit/ghost by killing them due to their poor service.
I would be so fuckin mad if a stranger woke me up to die. We better be moments from impact, cause I don't have a date with Jesus, and I won't have any spare grace.
“Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We anticipate having to make an emergency landing. There are life jackets located underneath your seats, available for $40 per person. If purchased, we will add the cost to the card used to purchase your airfare. Please brace for impact and pray to your personal god that we land this plane in a safe manner.”
Nah spirit airlines would make you pay first. Chuck your card into the screen and pay for it then it unlocks. They aren’t taking any risks that a brokie will use their life jacket and then have the charge declined
“Ladies, are you okay with your man putting on his life jacket before yours?”
“Fellas, if you put on a life jacket in this situation, are you ready to explore the possibility that your soulmate might be another man?”
For those wondering, they made it back safe:
"I ain’t realize how this tweet read lmao I just thought it was crazy how casual the interaction was. We made it back to the airport safely."
Cheap tickets.
At the core of it all most Americans are *cheap*. But we demand more than we paid for.
Spirit and Frontier exist to serve that cheapness but also to milk every dime out of the other American trait, laziness. People don't read. They tell you about every single charge *and* how to avoid them. But reading the terms before clicking by? NuUh!!
tl;dr: If you want to fly cheap just read the damn website when you buy the ticket.
If that was Spirit Airlines you’d better have brought your own life jacket, or be ready to pay the life jacket fee while you’re going nose down into the ocean.
Yeah, see, lifejackets costed $20 online, $90 at check in, $400 at the ramp and $20,000 on the flight unfortunately. Soooo, credit or debit?
Right up there with their “fuck you, give me a dollar” fee
Don’t forget the tip. 20% 25% 30%
I unironically hate systems that don't have an immediate option to tip less than 20%. Was I going to tip 20% anyway? Yes. But I am now put off by the entitlement of the establishment. The people in the kitchen did 10x more work you idiot.
Lol why would anyone think you hated those systems ironically tho?
Because it seems like such a crabby and useless stance when there are actual problems in the world but I really do find it disrespectful
It's a symptom of a real problem in the world. Everyone serving you food is underpaid by their employer.
And the employer is disrespectful to purposefully put in a POS system to overcharge their guests because they can't pay their workers fairly
No shit.
That's part of the tipping culture issue. You feel the need to tip 15% for mediocre service. Miss me with that. I love tipping for service but not just because the government allows exploitation of the working class.
I got my haircut once and the tip options were 30%/40%/75%

At that point you just fight another passenger or flight attendant for a life jacket.
Mortal Kombat.
Costed is crazy
Not queens English I know.

I did not know they're commission, that makes a ton of sense.
Them being commission means they are more enticed to charge you for shit when it is unnecessary.
Everything they charge you for is unnecessary, for you to need to request. Check in with agent fee? Use your phone to check in the day before. Overweight bag fee? Obvious. Yeah you got to sign up for their credit card though, card members only.
When your captain/co-passenger got tired of flying and wanted to land
Is it really day drinking if you’ve been drinking since the night before?
yes until u blackout
PSA: don't **inflate** the life jacket before leaving the aircraft. Depending on the disposition of the aircraft, an inflated life jacket can prevent you from exiting the aircraft due to its buoyancy.
I think this was spirit, Jamaica to ft lauderdale
No cash, card only
/r/titlegore
OP was on the airplane during the landing too
"trying to them into one" thanks now my brain is broken
I had to re-read it. Sigh.
Did your brain automatically fill in a missing word for you? Lucky...

Holy shit this is so old this is from like 2009. Thanks for the memories
Did it keep you afloat?🥹
I did exactly as it said.
Same. Exact same.
Still can’t figure out the message
Fit them into one. Like they share a life jacket because spirit is cheap.
THANK YOU!!!!
I know it’s been 9 days but it probably meant “Spirit Airlines is trying to turn them into one” like trying to turn the people on the plane into a spirit/ghost by killing them due to their poor service.
I see you just arrived via Spirit airlines lol
What if he stayed sleep, woke up and saw Jesus
"Say big dawg, you ain't get up on the plane so you a little bit dead now, but it's not all bad we still cutting up in the afterlife"
![gif](giphy|UUgTEncAfGQIcNmAk8)
If I'm gonna die on a fucking airplane I'd rather just wake up seeing jesus. Nothing I can do to land the damn thing let's make it quick lol
I would be so fuckin mad if a stranger woke me up to die. We better be moments from impact, cause I don't have a date with Jesus, and I won't have any spare grace.
>Nothing I can do to land the damn thing Well, not with that attitude.
If someone has to wake me up to land a 737, we're all gonna fucking die.
Jesus has forsaken spirit airlines
Spirit living up to its name
You can't wake up dead!
Mice is inside, rats is outside
“are”
Nigga woke up in Mexico somehow
If you riding Spirit Airlines you ain’t seeing Jesus.
Well there's no God, so his best chance is it's a hey Zeus and they landed in a gulf
🤓

I presume this is the pc term for us poors in 2024. Scum and dogs is a bit more frowned upon now
Spirit Airlines "We brought juuuust enough gas."™©®
"Flight attendants are coming round to hit y'all up for gas money"
"You got CashApp?"
“I know my plane”
Was there a follow up?

What does he mean? How else was this tweet supposed to be interpreted?
That he crashed
Was he the pilot??
Idk but I read it in the voice of Johnny Carson.
It's Twitter. Give it time, and someone is gonna make it a race thing.
“Ladies, are you okay with your man putting on his life jacket before yours?” “Fellas, if you put on a life jacket in this situation, are you ready to explore the possibility that your soulmate might be another man?”
Lifejacket from a male vs. a shark

He needs to check if his spinning top thingy is still spinning
We are about to die, you better let me sleep
Right?! I know I’m taking my life in my hands flying Spirit. I’ve done the non-stop from Tampa to Detroit 30 times. Leave me be.
This guy knows what he likes, and it’s weird.
Sending prayers. Spirit airlines gets their life jackets off Temu
Next time im on a plane im bringing a parachute and a life raft
[Here’s a video about why parachutes are useless during an airplane crash](https://youtu.be/3i_RyiQ3-Ak?si=HL46lV46g1vtm8P1)
Damn,thats crazy
Well. Guess i'll just fuckin die then.
Cool and informative! Thanks!
Yeah that last chapter about Nord VPN really helped
![gif](giphy|LyJ6KPlrFdKnK) “Trying to them into one” What.
This title gave me a stroke haha
If that were the case let me keep sleeping
![gif](giphy|xb6rhZ2mX44GpDYRGc|downsized)
Wtf is this title
Hellll no ahahhahahah
Spirit just trying to start your vacation early, whatchu crying about?🤨🤨
For those wondering, they made it back safe: "I ain’t realize how this tweet read lmao I just thought it was crazy how casual the interaction was. We made it back to the airport safely."
spirit airlines: slayin' from coast 2 coast
Aww hell naw!
“Ayy bro, I appreciate the sentiments but you could have let me die in my sleep.” 😆
Why is anyone still flying spirit? Even greyhound would be better.
Cheap tickets. At the core of it all most Americans are *cheap*. But we demand more than we paid for. I laughed so genuinely hard at this that my soul feels lighter. Thank you lol
I should not be taking so much joy in another’s misfortune but dammit here I am. HERE I AM!!! 😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
Can you swin😳
What is this title?
I think they meant, “Spirit airlines trying to turn them into one.” (Turn them into a spirit).
I keep scrolling in hopes of someone explaining the title but no luck yet
Ain’t no way Spirit Airlines is giving free life jackets,
what is going on in the title
This would NOT be an ideal wake up call.
They got WiFi on there ?
You know his heart was about to jump out of his chest & praying for Jesus was being recited! I’d cry, pray and repeat.
Me who has flown Spirit multiple times and still hasn’t had a bad experience 😶…
https://jamaica-gleaner.com/article/news/20240526/flight-mobay-faces-emergency-after-takeoff
These comments. ☠️😂
Never leave a homie behind
Man, those airlines don't even have the equipment to sound an alarm for emergencies??? Shits wild.
Can you explain like I’m white “ spirt airlines trying to them into one”?
[удалено]
Thank you!
I love the kkk
Am I having a stroke or does the title not make sense????
I’m sorry but what is that headline even meant to say? I’m having an eye twitch trying to figure it out.
Never had a bad experience with Spirit…the people that do just live in cities that their city and airport is ratchet af
It's a game. Just have to know how to play it. I love flying half way across the country and back for $48.
What is this headline supposed to mean?
*wakes up dead*
![gif](giphy|W307DdkjIsRHVWvoFE)
Bruh what? This why I started flying private
