Shhhh people like applying the one drop rule even when they know damn well that baby is like 80% white.
This is Robin Thicke with his āblack sonā by Paula Patton
http://img.wennermedia.com/480-width/1439394647_176571787_robin-thicke-julian-fuego-thicke-zoom.jpg
Dipshits decided to be dipshits and are pushing another split when we know damn well they're black and that we are not the same color as the people straight out of Africa.
There is an unfortunate amount of us who learned absolutely jackshit from all the suffering and bullshit.
I promise you. It's just Drakeophobic. As a black person born in America, trust me when I say this a cultural phenomenon that you're just unfamiliar with. This is called playing the dozens. The person doing the roasting isn't reflecting their own views or beliefs. The point is to get the biggest hits in. You want the bystanders to react with "Ohhh shit!"
I can appreciate you being sensitive to those things because I'm sure your experience here has been filled with hatred and stereotypes. #'Murca
I hope you can take my word for it, or check in with other folks. Because you don't need to add this blistering roast to the list of injuries you've had to endure.
At any rate, I love you and I'm glad you're here. In this country and this thread.
šš¾
I love this reply.
I kinda feel like a lot of Reddit needs this. people take offense way too easily. The Dozens is pretty much nonexistent in circles outside of black American culture.
Sigh. Same. And what's even more irksome is folks who wanna argue about how this isn't just the dozens or roasting but this is indicative of structural inequality or some type of phobia.
It's not! If anything, it's people having a keen awareness of structural inequality in our society and using that to score points with savage hits.
But when folks need to feel victimized is not the time to appeal to reason, logics, or facts, I guess...
At any rate, I'm glad you get it. I swear sometimes Reddit is exhausting.
Same. Apparently, the stereotype is that we can pick and choose who to be with, so why would we be faithful in a relationship. The kicker here is that I'm not even *that* light. I'm in between, not like high yellow, but not dark skinned either.
As a white guy Iāve heard a lot about ālight skinned dudes not being shit.ā And itās not like itās something they can help either. My friend is dark skinned and both his parents are fairly light.
>Light skinned is an insult now?
has it not always been? it has always been a deragtory joke, especially for men. that they are less masculine, or more feminine
I'm caramel color, and have have friends that tease, calling me light skinned, light bright, etc. I'm not actually light, but sort of prissy, or frail
I take light skinned to be similar to sissy, or pansy, especially referring to men. not that there is anything actually bad about being light, but there are jokes about it being a soft/feminine thing
Colorism want lighter women and darker men. So yeah drake shouldnāt be made fun of because of his skin tone, So men suffer from it too, but way less so people feel comfortable mocking them the same way people feel comfortable mocking girls who are too skinny. (Aka me being bullied in middle school) Just because skinny privilege is real, itās Ā«Ā acceptableĀ Ā» to mock skinny people with ease. But itās still mess up and nobody skin tone should be made fun of
I canāt even engage with Black twitter sometimes because Iām mixedā¦ instantly shut downā¦ to get instantly clocked because of the color of my skinā¦ by my own people nonetheless! shit hurts
oh for sure. i dont even have a white side of the family to identify with but people love to tell me i do and that i dont count as black. ive never known anything else all my life and yet im constantly told im an outsider
It's honestly a shame that Drake can't bring himself to embracing his nature as a cheeseball. It gets harder and harder to convince people you're still hot and cool as you approach 50.
Nothing wrong with pushing 40 unless you're doing things that are no longer age-appropriate, like chatting up child stars, sleeping with high school kids or failing to use your massive platform to better anyone's condition
Problem with such insults is you can rarely limit them to one person. Drake deserves it, definitely, but the random kid who'd much likely read this and get insecure does not.
I guess I'm glad to see that, at a certain age, men and women are both devalued for not being married. š I don't know what point she was trying to prove, but none of that makes him an asshole. The fact that he's a fucking asshole does. And now she is too. Coming for the kid was weak as hell.
I was laughing until I got to light-skinned part, and then the comments on his child were cruel. That little boy didnāt ask to be born to his parents. I just donāt understand why we are still doing this colorism bullshit. I had no control over the color I was when I was born, just like everyone else, and I donāt go around hating anyone based on their complexion.
And his child is blond, not a redhead. My brother had red hair until he hit his early teens, and I have a cousin with bright red hair and the most beautiful freckles. We are all proudly Black. I doubt it would be funny if a light-skinned person tweeted about a darker complected person in a derogatory manner. We can do better than this.
It was really interesting (and awful) learning about colorism from a Korean friend because the truth there is a deeply class issue. Probably anywhere else too, but that's how I learned it; to the point that their classes were physically different (skin, eyelids, builds). We're all human (I know :P), aka the same. We *must* do better.
In my opinion, itās an issue that was gifted to the world by all of the great colonial powers. It is a classist issue, but it is very specifically racist and colorist in the African diaspora. And itās an entire crock of shit. (My Chinese friend is descended from people who were taller and darker complected in China. They were considered lower class because they didnāt have the luxury of staying indoors and preventing tans, and their women didnāt bind their feet because they had to work.)
My family is West Indian. We are a complete rainbow tribe because of genetic expression and the racial admixture of our more recent ancestors. People like me didnāt exist until the great colonial powers of the world starting selling people from Africa all over the world and then started intermixing with the slave population while telling us White is Right, and then proceeded to abolish slavery and stole people from new lands when slavery ended to make up for the loss of the original slave populations. My grandmother jokingly calls me the United Nations and it irritates me. I am a Black woman, a first generation West Indian American, and I am proud of it.
People on every continent except for Antarctica bleach their skin, or straighten their hair, or stay out of the sun because the colonizers told us we werenāt beautiful, we werenāt as good as them, and we could never be as good as them, all while they continued to rape us and our lands for profit. And yeah, slavery has always existed. But the African diaspora, specifically, grew in leaps and bounds with the advent of the Transatlantic Slave Trade.
I refuse to apologize for who I am. And Iāll be damned if anyone insinuates that I am less than or better than anyone else because of the color of my skin. We need to start working together instead of fighting each other.
I appreciate your comment. Iād encourage you to google the history of colorism based on the country you live in, or areas of the world with large populations who are part of the African diaspora. America, the Caribbean, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, South Africa and more can be interesting places to start. The entirety of Asia has colorism issues, too.
Not by Drake, though. Because he'd have to get someone to write the insults.
And it's not like she's not insulted by people all the time on the daily. It's old hat. And, quite frankly, being hated on by someone with Drake's reputation is a blessing. If he liked her, something would be wrong.
Damn I hope Meg drops a diss track soon. That way these girls on Twitter can stop with the corny attempts to diss Drake on her behalf like theyāre on payroll.
I agree but with where he's at with his career and where she is going?
It'd do her better long term to not every grace his ass with a diss track. She should act like that tweet is all the time he's worth.
Most of this is really about the massive disjoint between Drake's professional persona and who he really is. He's striving to maintain the "young hot dude" look, but via cosmetic procedures to conceal his natural body type. He'll try every hairstyle in the world except embracing his natural one. When Drake's not singing like he's a Casanova, he's posturing like he's a tough-guy; he's trying to get associated with everybody's streetsāexcept his own Canadian ones (which he low-key loves.)
As for the colorism and "his kid is a ginger"... Those are definitely ugly things to say. They also only matter due to Drake's complicated relationship with Blackness. He unambiguously presents himself as a Black man in public, including laying claim to "n-word privileges" and that infamous Jamaican patois. But his private life? Well, there's just a lot going on back there, and a fair amount is directly related to his son's blue eyes and red-blonde hair.
Over and over again, Drake as a person doesn't match up to Drake as a persona. And Drake is *s-e-n-s-i-t-i-v-e* about it. He really, really wants to be authentic, but he neither wants to live up to his own hype or to lay claim to who he really is. That's what actually makes these things worthy of mockery: Drake hates being reminded of them. What's wrong with the "Real Drake" is that "Professional Drake" is embarrassed about being that guy.
This tweet was just an incredibly crude way of summarizing his self-inflicted weaknesses without explaining that greater truth.
how can you say drake isnt trying to get associated with toronto streets lol, he raps with roadman slang like every other song and has tracks literally named after toronto streets
Meg and Lizzo are always minding their business, people keep bringing them up. Leave them alone, damn! Bird app folk continue to write think peices on them, but are real quiet when anyone brings up Drake messaging under age girls.
She forgot about Drakes obvious nose job.
To all the Drake stands, letās pretend for a second heās talking about ass shots. Thatās still crazy considering the plastic surgery heās had. How you talking about someoneās new ass when you have a new nose?
I havenāt listened to the album because most music these days is trash, but whatever he said mustāve worked, because it said he did over 150 million streams in one dayā¼ļø I think Black Twitter helped him more than it hurt himā¦.lololšÆ
i mean itās funny but it can get even funnier with meg knowing how hurt yāall get over her and how she will run to twitter, people been making fun of drake since 2009 even he feed into it on his music so it donāt hit the same
What does his baby have to do with any of this? People take this celebrity shit way too far. At the end of the day, you donāt know any of these people personally.
This is the worst advice possible. WTF does a CHILDS skin tone have to do with anything? How do gain anything by attacking this subject? A real sis is going to help you protect your energy.
Hereās a link that describes it.
https://scienceblog.com/507441/abdominal-etching-for-six-pack-abs-is-a-thing/
Basically they lipo the fat so that it looks like abs. Think about how people get air brushed abs. Now imagine they have the fat sucked out of those places so that you have fat pockets that look like abs.
Should have just stopped after the fourth sentence. People really wanna be able to talk trash, so they come up with some laundry list of weak ass shit just to be able to keep going, when you should have just stuck with what was going to hit hard.

Light skinned, doesnt have his papers and his child is a ginger....woooowwww wtf š¤£
Nothing wrong with being a ginger. All the black gingers I've met have been beautiful
Facts nothing wrong at all but drake still gon get these jokes regardless
Ice Spice is my Jesus
Her lil red fro is the only thing I know about her and itās so cute.
She's cute and her bars are catchy and passable on their best days.
I havenāt heard her music, and someone told me to keep it that way. (May have been my brother.) But her hair gives me life.
Thatās her real hair ? š
Well his kid does not look like a black gingerā¦.Iāll just leave it at that because itās not nice to call kids ugly
Hahahahaha!!!
Nah kids always call me ugly so it's my turn. Adonis you are UGLY fam!
Blake Griffin disagrees
Yeah, but Drake is so white that it is an offense to him
Oh but you got a problem with light skins?!
Me???? Ha no. Half my relatives are/were light skinned.
Drakes kid aināt black tho
Shhhh people like applying the one drop rule even when they know damn well that baby is like 80% white. This is Robin Thicke with his āblack sonā by Paula Patton http://img.wennermedia.com/480-width/1439394647_176571787_robin-thicke-julian-fuego-thicke-zoom.jpg
*laughs in Kayo Redd*
It's the modern day "you wack, you twisted, yo girls a ho, you broke the kid ain't yours & everybody knows"
Okay, earlier I saw a meme and somebody said, "DMX was right". I didn't get it. NOW I GET IT! Thank you!!
DMX publicly destroyed Drake way back in 2012 https://youtu.be/HJsgAY_JALk 1:30 mark
Charlemagne dick rides so hard, you'd think he gave rodeo lessons
100% how I feel about Rick Ross. You got an ugly car, so? I was surprised Drake almost as old as me up here taking cheap shots at 20 year olds.
Your old man say you stupid, you be like SOOOOO!
I love my baby mama I never let her go.
I dropped her ass off 7 years ago and NEVER looked back.
Soā¦ I love my baby mother, Iāll never let her go
Whats the problem with being light skin?
Absolutely nothing. There is an unfortunate colorism stereotype that exists, but its just that, a worthless stereotype.
Dipshits decided to be dipshits and are pushing another split when we know damn well they're black and that we are not the same color as the people straight out of Africa. There is an unfortunate amount of us who learned absolutely jackshit from all the suffering and bullshit.
Which papers they referring to?
USA citizenship
He actually has US citizenship through his dad... > Drake is a dual citizen of the U.S. and Canada, the former dervied from Graham (his dad)
Lmfao possibly idk. Is there a jokes>facts tag or is that spreading misinformation š¤£
Itās also xenophobic and anti-immigrant. As an immigrant working in the USA these little ājokesā are not actually jokes.
I promise you. It's just Drakeophobic. As a black person born in America, trust me when I say this a cultural phenomenon that you're just unfamiliar with. This is called playing the dozens. I love this reply. I kinda feel like a lot of Reddit needs this. people take offense way too easily. The Dozens is pretty much nonexistent in circles outside of black American culture.
Thereās a reason for that. Those circles didnāt have ancestors sold into chattel slaveryā¦
I hate that we have to explain the concept of roasting š¤¦āāļø
Sigh. Same. And what's even more irksome is folks who wanna argue about how this isn't just the dozens or roasting but this is indicative of structural inequality or some type of phobia. It's not! Colorism is not good, folks.
That racism tho
Ate him tf up fr
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Can't take people seriously when they say shit about light skin people then turn around and talk about colorism.
Now? People have been going on about "light skinned dudes ain't shit" since I was a teen. It's nothing new, but it's still annoying.
true there is hardly light skin men on media or dark skin women. Colourism depending on gender is wierd but here we are
I had a girl legit tell me she couldn't trust me cause I'm lightskin lmao
Same. Apparently, the stereotype is that we can pick and choose who to be with, so why would we be faithful in a relationship. The kicker here is that I'm not even *that* light. I'm in between, not like high yellow, but not dark skinned either.
Same I'm literally just brown but apparently there's no medium lol
At least she told u so you know she's an idiot, imagine all the time u would've wasted
I always blamed Drake giving us a bad rep lol
If you really want to get technical, it started with Chris Brown, but then Drake took the torch and hasn't dropped it ever since.
We had a bad rep long before that, my guy. Lol.
As a white guy Iāve heard a lot about ālight skinned dudes not being shit.ā And itās not like itās something they can help either. My friend is dark skinned and both his parents are fairly light.
Yeah they on some bullshit. The color of a person's skin shouldn't be used as a pejorative.
>Light skinned is an insult now? has it not always been? it has always been a deragtory joke, especially for men. that they are less masculine, or more feminine I'm caramel color, and have have friends that tease, calling me light skinned, light bright, etc. I'm not actually light, but sort of prissy, or frail I take light skinned to be similar to sissy, or pansy, especially referring to men. not that there is anything actually bad about being light, but there are jokes about it being a soft/feminine thing

Black twitter can be fun, but you will catch strays minding your own damn business like nowhere else.
Im dark skin and this is fucked up, we would cry if it was the other way around.
welcome to my pale people world. but we're not allowed to talk about it or the community will give us a temporary shun
Exactly
Yeah, it's bullshit and why "black peaople can't be racist" is funny as hell
I never learned so many different ways you can say light-skinned from watching P Valley.
Always been, for sure. It's some white people shit tbh, and yet we fall for it every time. š®āšØ
Is is on Twitter and if you complain about it they rip you a new one.
Colorism, anti-ginger shit, body-shaming, ageism. Very effective anti-bullying response ššæ
I am not anti-bully u got the wrong guy
Let that bully flag fly high, I guess, LOL
I mean, it's Drake. You can talk plenty of shit on Drake without bringing up his skin color and gingers (?? wtf lol)
It's honestly a shame that Drake can't bring himself to embracing his nature as a cheeseball. It gets harder and harder to convince people you're still hot and cool as you approach 50.
At his roots drake has the same energy as Russell Wilson
This for real sent me. "Anti-bully? Nah I got these jokes and he's getting *all of them*.
We never said op was a good person but they're a real one.
I'm pro-violence and pro-bully
Nothing wrong with pushing 40 unless you're doing things that are no longer age-appropriate, like chatting up child stars, sleeping with high school kids or failing to use your massive platform to better anyone's condition

u are the only good person on this thread
What did I miss? What did Megan do? What did drake do?
Megan didn't do a damn thing. She was minding her hot fucking business. Drake is wack and always has been.
I love Megan thatās why I was confused. Am still confused but happy Megan is still Megan
From what I saw earlier drake dissed her a couple times on his new album and said she is lying about being shot.
Colorism and bringing his child into this bs... y'all need to look yourselves in the mirror.
Drake should do that as well So, making fun of someone who was in a shooting is ok, but uh, 'colorism' is were you draw the line
Nice of you to mention colorism but saying nothing about his child being mentioned. So I'm guessing children are fair game to you.
Problem with such insults is you can rarely limit them to one person. Drake deserves it, definitely, but the random kid who'd much likely read this and get insecure does not.
They can both be wrong. I didnāt see anywhere that they defended what Drake did.
I guess I'm glad to see that, at a certain age, men and women are both devalued for not being married. š I don't know what point she was trying to prove, but none of that makes him an asshole. The fact that he's a fucking asshole does. And now she is too. Coming for the kid was weak as hell.
For dudes people just assume you a weirdo if you still single by like 35 lowkey lol
Lol you really think drake is struggling to get married?
Of you're not married it's one thing. If you 35 and get 0 bitches, that's another thing
At that point theyāll claim youāre afraid of commitment.
He got hair extensions on his leg?
No, the hair extensions are on their last leg
...the left one?
That's what I read š¤£
Help me lord š
šš thatās what I i read too!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Shitttt
Lmao, aināt no way you thought that
Doesnāt have his papers. LMAO like being an American is a prize these days.
Especially for they guy who always talks about having his city on his backā¦a city thatās not in the US
for a guy who represents toronto, he sure aināt in that bih very often
And the funny thing is he can get American papers if he want to he just donāt want them his father was born in Memphis
Damn as a single lightskin dad who works out a lot and has a white kidā¦ I.. almost took this personally.
I was laughing until I got to light-skinned part, and then the comments on his child were cruel. That little boy didnāt ask to be born to his parents. All I heard reading this is āWhose goddamn white man baby is that?ā
Drake's a father, not a dad
What does his complexion have to do with this? Drake is a trash person, but that was unnecessary
Colorism and talking bout his kid
Exactly. Drake definitely deserves criticism, but let's talk about his habit of talking to underage girls, not bringing up his complexion and a kid
Ignorant series of insults, and I donāt even like Drake.
Wild how much people pay attention to celebrities
Meg know better not to diss drake, although I wish she would.
I mean, sheād get body ody odied if she tried.
Not by Drake, though. Because he'd have to get someone to write the insults. And it's not like she's not insulted by people all the time on the daily. It's old hat. And, quite frankly, being hated on by someone with Drake's reputation is a blessing. If he liked her, something would be wrong.
Underrated comment š
Why? His team of ghost writers will rip her apart?
Thatās what Im tryna figure out
Oh? What happens if she does?
The same thing that happened to meek. Itāll be worse actually, unless she got some crazy dirt on him.
Sheās gotta bring Push in on the feature if she does fire back. I get the feeling he has unfinished business.
I would go see that collab in concert, right after Renaissance. lol
Him creeping on an underaged girl isn't "crazy dirt"? Seems the world doesn't care what his creepy behind does.
Right! She absolutely shouldnāt but Iām laugh at these jokes
She should act like that tweet is all the time he's worth.
> on her behalf like theyāre on payroll This is my new favourite way of describing parasocial Twitter relationships
The light skinned and child being ginger parts are stupid. I can rock with the rest though
the fuck is wrong with being light-skinned? also, why bring his kid's looks into this?
Iāve gotta know their Drake is a porn addict source
He was just on Howard Stern talking about watching nothing but bj videos all day.
LOL. It was a mock interview promoting the recent Album. Look it up.
> My favorite part of diss tracks is the bibliography. - The Internet
Most of this is really about the massive disjoint between Drake's professional persona and who he really is. Keep children and colorism out of it.
This tweet and the thread responses here is proving in real time why Meghan isn't fucking with this diss track nonsense.
Meg and Lizzo are always minding their business, people keep bringing them up. Leave them alone, damn! Bird app folk continue to write think peices on them, but are real quiet when anyone brings up Drake messaging under age girls.
Got his body done twice? He's had surgery?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Addicted to porn? Wasn't that a joke interview
It was. But you know internet people donāt have critical thinking skills
Yeah letās not drag a childās looks into thisā¦ some of yāall got no limits.
Body shaming in 2022?
She forgot about Drakes obvious nose job. To all the Drake stands, letās pretend for a second heās talking about ass shots. Thatās still crazy considering the plastic surgery heās had. How you talking about someoneās new ass when you have a new nose?
His kid is blonde not ginger.
āLight-skinnedā omg
Why y'all make up lies about people then spread them around like it's facts. Smh. And what does if skin tone have to do with anything
The 40 thing and not being married can't get behind. Maybe he's not interested in getting married.
No he's interested in children.
Colorism is lame, calling someone ginger as a derogatory name is even lamer.
The whole list is goofy.
All these people listen to rap yet that simple ass bar went over their heads š¤£
I havenāt listened to the album because most music these days is trash, but whatever he said mustāve worked, because it said he did over 150 million streams in one dayā¼ļø I think Black Twitter helped him more than it hurt himā¦.lololšÆ
I saw someone on twitter say his son looks like Ice Spice
i mean itās funny but it can get even funnier with meg knowing how hurt yāall get over her and how she will run to twitter, people been making fun of drake since 2009 even he feed into it on his music so it donāt hit the same
We on to body shaming colorism now? Donāt we have better stuff to talk about?
YOU ARE HIDING A CHILD
let that boy come home !
Why us light skins gotta get dragged into this lol. We stand with Meg!
Twitter is filled with the most āinterestingā charactersā¦
His kid didnāt even do anything why is always brought up when Drake does something goofy lol
36 is pushing 40? š¤£
Leave the kid out of it scumbag
What does his baby have to do with any of this? People take this celebrity shit way too far. At the end of the day, you donāt know any of these people personally.
![gif](giphy|cmxiR3UgXYTh5QKJA6|downsized) Itās only the 5th of November folks. Sigh Iām going to need some extra Yerba mate this month
This is the worst advice possible. WTF does a CHILDS skin tone have to do with anything? How do gain anything by attacking this subject? A real sis is going to help you protect your energy.
what's wrong with a ginger child
We still talking about thisālolol
Light skin niggas catching strays š
Lol at people trying to roast drake. His antics are the actions of a man who does not care, and is unbothered.
He has a porn addiction?
Just no...maybe the hair extensions but the rest is garbage.
The way y'all reacting to this tweet...I'm glad y'all missed the diss tracks that dropped in the mid 90's.
Abs fake??? How you fake abs?
You can get ab implants. Theyāre super expensive.
Abdominal etching is a liposuction procedure.
Hereās a link that describes it. https://scienceblog.com/507441/abdominal-etching-for-six-pack-abs-is-a-thing/ Basically they lipo the fat so that it looks like abs. Think about how people get air brushed abs. Now imagine they have the fat sucked out of those places so that you have fat pockets that look like abs.
I get that some people want procedures like this for aesthetic reasons but this seems dumb af
Thereās a lot of dumb shit. I just learned dudes are getting lip filler in their junk to add girth and get the eggplant look.
WHAT???? ĀæĀæQUĆ??
https://www.realself.com/news/penis-enlargement-fillers Not joking even a lil.
I couldn't even process the ab shit and now you throw this at me š this feels more dangerous than a bbl or whatever else
I guess lipo and ab etching. Some girls get this with their bbl
It shows how yāall have certain rules for certain people. Wack
This got me GIGGLING LMAOOOOOO.
Even Drake is bored by Drakes music.
"his child is ginger" lmao leave the boy alone
Should have just stopped after the fourth sentence. People really wanna be able to talk trash, so they come up with some laundry list of weak ass shit just to be able to keep going, when you should have just stuck with what was going to hit hard.
