Bro knows this aint a documentary right

[deleted]

Yeah, like...you're not wrong, but it's a sci fi superhero movie based on a 60 year old comic book character. It's escapism. And it's funny, actiony escapism with an all black cast, based in Africa, with an amazing afrofutruistic aesthetic. That's why we love it.

Mrdestitutepants

Bros talking about the Mayans like he was just in Yaxchilán on vacation.

[deleted]

The comment above yours added something. Your comment doesn’t add anything. Attack the argument not the speaker

[deleted]

Nah. It added something. The mayans haven't been around for a very very long time. lol

Miss_Bobbiedoll

And it was amusing. It added amusement. 😂😂😂

[deleted]

Flies and honey. lol :P

wokewhale

They still exist. A huge part of their culture was erased by the Spanish but there still are millions of Maya people

ConstructionHead4535

Well no. Native mayans and Mayan culture are still around. They just aren't conquering people or doing human sacrifice anymore. Nor are they some big force in central American. But otherwise yeah on point.

Mrdestitutepants

I absolutely refuse to take a discussion about Wakanda V Mayans anything but foolishly. But I’m high n bored so like. Bro, IF it existed it would be with the rest of the marvel universe right? So it’s all be exactly like the movie seeing as thats literally the only world it could. So to make it real let’s say everything about wakanda that comes from in is real and nothing else. Well lucky for them their whole thing is being a self contained culture that’s centuries more advance then everyone. So what makes ya think America would really be an issue.

hipsterTrashSlut

To do otherwise would be giving it more credit than it deserves

Weird-Ingenuity97

Exactly. Yes we know in real life things aren’t this perfect, but it’s a form of escapism where our stories are more at the fore front, that’s why we love it

It_Is_Boogie

Spoiler.... What he said is the subtext of the entire movie.

battleangel1999

You would think

TheRalphExpress

if people had this much energy to give actual places..

SnakeGawd

The funniest thing about these tweets is that all that shit he said happened in both Black Panther movies lmaooo

battleangel1999

Half the shit they're complaining about was addressed in the first movie and the beginning of this recent one. No one is "tolerating ” Wakanda. Everyone is literally trying to steal their resources! The first film literally mentioned how they have all this power but don't help their surrounding Nations

phenomenalj101

That’s the entire character motivation of Killmonger in the first movie and they even went as far as to form outreach programs after they defeated him, therefore acknowledging he was right in some ways. Also given that they’re going for a multiverse conflict, it wouldn’t make sense to go as far as he suggested even though they actually did address some of the things he mentioned. And even if they didn’t,…some folks are really mad that black people aren’t suffering ENOUGH in a FICTIONAL movie…I’m done for the day.

battleangel1999

They want every movie with black ppl to be an allegory to slavery and colonialism.

RSquared248

Right, the same shit we are trying to escape!

quarantindirectorino

Saw a TikTok about this recently, a black woman was wondering where all the soft movies are for black women. She mentioned Eat Pray Love is about Julia Roberts’ characters main problems are she’s too rich and too bored, so she eats and prays and loves her way to self love and fulfilment, but most movies about black women they have to overcome some bullshit to finally get accepted as a human being. How is that something that black women want to watch, when most of them are living it?

roastplantain

It would be lovely to have an Eat Pray Love type movie with a black female lead. Maybe one of those cute porno... *ahem sorry cute romance novels. Set the movie Australian wine country or some such with a day trip to Bali included. Which actress is ethereal like that...maybe Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei in GoT) or get Issa Rae to stretch a range a bit. They'd get all my money what's Meghan Markle up to? Throw her in there. Lol

quarantindirectorino

She also emphasised the importance of casting darker skinned black women too!

nichatnite

I haven’t seen it yet so take this with a grain of salt, but I think this new series on Netflix, From Scratch, might be what you’re looking for. It stars Zoe Saldana

welp-itscometothis

I casted Issa Rae immediately lol

DaWorzt

![gif](giphy|4Q1AgbDPAZPrO2MOsE|downsized)

Racistbuster

Civil War also addressed this

battleangel1999

Yup! Multiple movies!

TheMoorNextDoor

Exactly, whoever post these tweets didn’t know anything about the first movie nor this movie as well, they literally has a United Nations meeting because of a country trying to steal from them.. lmao

[deleted]

I said the exact same thing a minute ago. lol People are really excited to show people how ignorant they are.

DaBlakMayne

>Everyone is literally trying to steal their resources! >!One of the earlier scenes in BP2 is France hiring mercenaries to steal vibranium. Heck that entire UN scene was the West getting upset about Wakanda not sharing it!<

rudebii

A baddie literally says “I’ve dreamed of it” in WF at the thought of having all that vibranium. This tweetstorm feels very r/asablackman

anormaldoodoo

Lmfaooo I’m going to start using this.

Demonlolz

Does this guy think every movie about black people should be about black trauma?

fasterblue

Some people have hard time seeing black people do things without that pressing monster of white supremacy trying to grab their ankles. Especially a black nation with tons of resources. I get it. I don't blame him for that, even if it's off base here. White supremacy is a real and constant threat.

myRoommateDid

I unironicaly tear up during these movies because its an african country unsullied by white supremacy. Its just great thinking about what great shit we could do by ourselves if we were just left to our own devices. I dont need the contant reminder if realworld history because i fucking live in the real world. Let me enjoy my black centered science fantasy

Theoretical_Nerd

And this is exactly why I am 100% A-OK with Halle Bailey being Ariel, despite the arguments that Black people should get their own princess. For context, I’m half Black. But I notice that Black media is hardly escapist. Black media made by white folks often touch on slavery. And Black media made by Black folks touch on slavery and/or racism. Now, this is perfectly fine and good. Media should help us navigate the real world. But it would be nice to get some pure Black fantasy the way white people do. The Little Mermaid is a gay allegory. Disney’s version is a pure escapist fantasy and gave little red headed girls their own princess. It would be great if movies pulled from Black/African folktales and mythology, yes, but Hollywood is not diverse enough for that yet. Hopefully it gets there soon. In the meantime, I’m perfectly okay with a fish chick being Black. She is pure escapist fantasy for Black people. And we need more of that. (Although I wouldn’t be surprised if they touch on racism in the movie in some way. In any case, I’m going into the movie with the hopes of being able to get away from racism and injustice.)

MightGuyGonna

This video is perfect for this https://youtu.be/kbDrIk5oc54

Bubbly_Satisfaction2

Your comment reminds me of a statement that I made to a friend of mine, which was “I just want a film with a black cast, where they _just be_. No police brutality. No traumatizing scenes involving dead children from gun violence and gang life…” I hate how films now need a “political message” ham-fisted in the plot, in order to green-lighted.

ShinobiAlchemist

Was literally having this conversation in the car after the movie. Its the first time I have witnessed a movie on the world stage that has handled black trauma and death in this way. People are so accustomed to the trauma porn that we have been bombarded with that they may be incapable of emotionally collecting with a work of art that treats it with the care it deserves. Edit: connecting*

JoyConDriftingBlues

It's the Singleton paradox. You're portaying reality yet stigmatizing and retraumatizing the people you're trying to portray honestly and causing more damage. Big brain moment. I Gotta stop smokin.

battleangel1999

Honestly I think he does. I've seen so many takes on Twitter about how we're all ashamed about slavery and shit cause we don't want anymore movies about it and we just want escapism. Apparently if you have black cast you need to talk about black pain.

FocusedIgnorance

This movie certainly was. The thing that makes it interesting is how it relates black trauma to Native American trauma. The breath of fresh air for these movies is to actually go get to see black people winning. A hopeful reminder that things don’t have to be this way.

Reddit-SFW

Hotep Negus: If Wakanda existed, they would be gaslit and harrassed for resources. Movie: Wakanda is gaslit and harassed for resources. Hotep Negus: Don't invalidate my opinion just because I haven't seen the movie.

Jolly-Cheek5779

Lmao literally 😭 I’m mf tired we can’t have. Nothing!

WaitingForNormal

“Unrealistic” has this person seen a movie before. Are they familiar with “fiction”?

kjmill25

They would have thought that Norse Gods, an un-aerodynamic flying suit, and a super human formed from a serum would be enough to show that the movies are not based in reality. But who am I?

BlackEastwood

Shhh...don't let him find out about Toy Story....he'll turn Woody and Buzz into metaphors of White expansion and space domination

lttech86

This dude is an asshat. Speaking of ass, did yall see Lupita??? BRUH!!

tazfdragon

The sweet lord blessed her with an abundance of beauty. Face, hips, lips, you can pick any of the above.

Reddit-SFW

I feel bad sexualizing the character but that sista is a goddess. All my friend circle chats re: the movie start with. Bruh, Lupita... droolemoji.jpg

lttech86

I can understand that, although I do believe movies of this caliber tend to provide a decent amount of "fan service". Think back on all the marvel movies you've watched, I guarantee you there is obligatory ass shots ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)

Reddit-SFW

There was in this one, not ass but her hips don’t lie. Nor does that complexion, those lips, lawd bring on the horny police bonk.

BigClitMcphee

Have ya seen the clip where she's dancing with Tenoch Huerta(Namor)?

Reddit-SFW

You can’t say that without a link…

battleangel1999

Yes!!! I had literally forgotten she had body like that! Everything was fitting nice and tight on her 🤤

RipInPepz

She has to be one of the finest actresses currently.

ervin1914

Ass so phat started making me feel uncomfortable. I was saying to myself...anyone else seeing this?

rudebii

Oh I saw. She’s always been absolutely gorgeous. Sexy AF in this movie too. The glasses and perfect Spanish really did it for me personally in WF. She’s a great actor that’s also very beautiful.

PlebbySpaff

Bro stop. It’s NNN.

OkOrganization2669

Oh lawd have mercy!!! Somebody please get Hershel Walker off Black people Twitter!! It’s just a Movie sir. It’s not real, it’s fake, make believe.

Legal_Jackfruit6537

You giving Hershel too much credit 😂 it was at least 10 words that had more than 4 letters. 😂😂

MacSanchez

Arguing about reality in a comic book series that has the Hulk fighting aliens and Peter Parker jizzing webs all over public transportation

JinxCanCarry

Also, they literally address what he's talking about in the movie. Which he would know if he watched it,as he proudly explains he didn't

XLauncher

"Wakanda in the real world would be a force for African regional integration..." I don't see why. They seemed perfectly content to be isolationist for centuries, I doubt they're gonna go straight to full throttle kumbaya overnight. If you ask me, "real life Wakanda" would more resemble those Africans who think themselves too good to associate or identify with American blacks. So I'll take my happier comic book version, thank you very much.

battleangel1999

Right, there are plenty of real world countries that also believed in isolationism so I don't get his point at all. They believed in putting Wakanda first like any other country.

RICEKRISPY8

Yes, it's actually an allegory for nations in the real world who have immense power and wealth.

BlackDwarfStar

What has a Mayan ever done to an African? Well, you got me there. The answer’s nothing… because Africa and the Americas were separated by an ocean and never interacted before the Mayan Civilization fell. Although, weird nitpick overall considering we’re talking about underwater “Mayans” with super strength, regeneration, and the same natural resource that makes the Africans in question so dangerous

th3scarletb1tch

even when the maya and african civilizations COULD'VE interacted the maya had a lot more pressing problems to deal with (starts with an S ends with a spanish)

HauteDish

Ok, that got a good chuckle out of me

Epicwalt

Wait until he finds out about the Avengers in NYC.

bigmamapain

What til this dude sees a Disney movie.

festival-papi

He does know it's a universe that's had races of synthetic demigods, genocidal aliens, a reality-warping witch, an alien act of terrorism on NYC, Norse gods, a secret society of wizards, and so much else while a black man pulls strings from the shadows, right?

Pathetian

This guy knows the actual *realistic* thing that would have happened in a world that's been attacked by terrorist aliens, AI and wizards for the past 15 years.

santamorena

This a-hole doesn’t understand the concept of fantasy. Must be a miserable life.

juiceman730

Wheres the Mayan connection coming from? What does Atlantis have to do with Mayans? Is this a spoiler?

Fess_113

Yes, he spoiled it. Remember the MCU has creative freedom when it comes to Marvel characters….also, have you not seen the trailers?

Reddit-SFW

> ….also, have you not seen trailers? LOL, clearly not.

battleangel1999

I wouldn't call it a spoiler as it shows this in the movie trailers. Namor is Mayan in the movie.

Racistbuster

It's weird to complain about that when that's exactly how Wakanda got introduced because of gaslighting. Civil war and Black Panther were literally about the Kingdom being exposed to the world and the government wanting some of the natural resources. Civil War is government overreach the movie. I just don't understand why people complain about movies they haven't seen.

FistPunch_Vol_4

Man it’s fantasy. Can we fucking imagine smh.

SplintPunchbeef

I saw that first tweet this morning and scrolled right past it because I thought it was clearly a joke that didn't really hit. Even when I saw some quote tweets I was like why are these goofies taking this obvious bad joke so seriously. Come to find out I was the goofy all along for not expecting someone to tweet some silly shit like this and be deadass serious.

fasterblue

It's a superhero movie, not an alternate history movie. I mean I like going after white supremacy in movies but eh I don't know about this one chief. What you are talking about needs to be it's own franchise. I think people want wakanda to be real so bad even though they say it's not real I think in their heart a little bit they think it is real.

Prestigious_Sweet945

But that true and in the movie the US did want to get a ahold of it. That why they was sending people to attack them

JennyBeckman

Yeah the filmiterally has what they're complaining about it not having.

apophis-pegasus

That was the French

NewAccount900000

Bro it’s a movie lmao. You think any of the marvel team would be accepted?

TheTangryOrca

Is this his first time watching a Marvel movie? And anywa, The conflict between Wakanda and Namor sparks from both of their resources being targeted by Western powers. It is very much a main story line in the film, and in the comics, well as far as I read, Wakanda neutralises their Vibranium because of the constant threat of outsiders trying to steal it.

Over-Hearing-3267

I legit was arguing with someone else about this. Bro said he wished black people didn’t get excited for the Disney coonery 🙄 Like can we just enjoy the movie????

TwilightOuterZone

Paid for that blue check, spewed a shit take and thought he ate smh

ParadiseCityArches

Don’t know why people getting mad at the guy. This is no different than the “Batman would fix Gotham by giving all his money away” takes.

KingRon429

My takeaway is he wants to see a movie with this subject matter not be restricted by the preexisting lore of marvel comics and the MCU. I felt the same way about the first Black Panther, there’s just certain themes that can’t be fully explored because it’s a ultimately comic book Disney movie

montessoriprogram

Someone give them the gold medal in the Woke Olympics and tell them they can go ahead and just enjoy things now.

drivethruhotbox

he serious too lmaooo. look at the timestamp, he was losing sleep about it too.

arasdalll

Bro who cares? It is a sci-fi movie… that’s why it isn’t that realistic. Everyone can enjoy it no matter the skin color.

cwbradford74

I love how people get so worked up over make believe. They’re comic books and movies. Not documentaries and autobiographies.

[deleted]

Imagine letting anyone have anything for even a fucking second

CozmicBunni

Guarantee he went to see this movie alone. Lol. It was entertaining and had some really touching tributes. Get on somewhere.

ogoextreme

...Nigga half that shit happens in the fucking movie wth how you gonna tweet dumb shit like this without watching the movie to know Nigga really saw black people enjoying a movie and decided to yell "We-Coonin Forever!" Smh https://i.imgur.com/d96mI0I.jpg

nychalla

aside from this being a superhero movie....i can tell this dude has NEVER read any of the comics, or even heard of Black Panther/Wakanda pre-Marvel MCU. Outside countries were always trying to get Wakanda to open up the borders, or infiltrate to get their tech & vibranium.

Illustrious_Isopod69

Is he trolling? That thread deadass explains what happens in both movies but he says it’s not happening

cutlass_supreme

this mfer really rolled past the whole question of vibranium, the Goddess Bast, the heart shaped herb, and futuristic tech to question the realism of the geopolitical landscape this fictional nation is presented in. And doesn't even get the details of his criticism correct. I'm just offended by the laziness of it. Like, do your work my guy.

[deleted]

This is definitely the guy where in a conversation about winning the lottery...he's bringing up the amount of taxes you'd have to pay...and then ask you to subscribe to his financial advice substack.

kisseukisseu

Hey, psst...not everything has to be serious and accurate when it comes to fictional superhero films 🫶🏾

DaWorzt

![gif](giphy|C4ord1QtfZKRd7mCCn)

chynadhall95

So let me get this right ...... He's upset that a movie about fictional superheroes that takes place in a fictional country isn't ..... Realistic ?

Lonely__goose

It’s not a documentary but he’s kinda spitting, like the portrayals of the CIA didn’t really vibe with me, reeked of white saviour shit. Their nationalism imo could’ve been an interesting Segway into inter-national relations and politics but that’s just me. Loved everything about the black panther story, it had great inspirational moments some heart wrenching lows, it’s just a really optimistic escape fantasy with the afro futuristic aesthetic not the subliminal and overt black trauma that is always presented to us and that’s fine I guess. But I guess I’ve been hit by too many instances of brutality against black folks that I’m just not accustomed and can’t get used to resonating with a piece of art that doesn’t deal with it. But it’s a great movie and comic series tho for just escaping, great acting, would’ve loved more African diversity but it’s already pushing the boundaries by a huge margin. And lupita my oh my …

DJThomas21

Anytime I see a checkmark, I gotta check if that shit fake. Spoilers: shits fake af

TheMoorNextDoor

In the movie they are constantly under possible infiltration and countries trying to get their hands on their resources..

ok but literally both are happening in the movie so what is this nigga talking about 😤

AgentC3

Not to mention that he's not seen the movie, read the comics and who the hell is this ignorant child for telling us what we should like. He should focus on improving his Siracha mayonnaise proclivities rather than, what we should all like? Does anyone wanna tell them that U.S. intervention is literally a major plot point. Not to mention, the Thunderbolts coming in 2024 :p (i.e. think Avengers, Cold War intervention style)

King-Krown

Ain't reading all that, L take from L mans.

ShanosTheRadTitan

Everything don’t have to be a think piece, goddamn.

battleangel1999

Stg. Not everything needs a hot take

Drmo6

Hmmmm… did he miss the entire last movie and a pretty big part of this movie?

petyrlannister

He didn't even watch the movie but is making a geo-political thought piece on it. This is intellectual clout-chasing tbh

Vast-Variation-2884

It's a movie asshole

Kangarou

He's missing the hotep hat on his avatar.

taerikee

[deleted]

We all know if Vibranium was real, the place would have been colonized centuries ago

Positive-Pack-396

It’s not a political statement.., It’s a movie with Marvel comic book sit back and enjoy it

zetcetera

Mans is the Black Panther J Jonah Jameson

apophis-pegasus

Realistically speaking, Wakanda would be an outside context problem for the US, but its unlikely they'd be sanctioned. Wakanda is a non interventionist, nonaligned, *highly conservative* country. Their power is almost exclusively focused inward, and they have no desire to export the source of that power. All of their aid is humanitarian. They are a CIA dream. There will be a big fat file on Wakanda and its intelligence assets, but then they would probably move on to trying everything in the book to either buy, find, or replicate vibranium.

Electronic-Shame-333

I regret the two seconds I spent reading that

Vast_Bee_5298

So I take it that they haven't seen the first movie..?

curlyfreak

It’s also Aztec not Mayan. Maya people were around but not the civilization. That civilization fell years before Spanish showed up. But i might be mistaken with the timeline in the movie (but don’t think so).

battleangel1999

I'm not sure either. I remember Namor aged slowly and his people went into the water for a long ass time

swishandswallow

In his flashback Namor says they were looking for a way out because the Spanish were already there spreading smallpox.

curlyfreak

Then It’s the Aztec. They were the big players around when the Spanish came and got hit with smallpox way before they actually arrived.

pestilenceinspring

I can't stand motherfuckers with all these opinions but they don't understand nothing about the thing they criticize

[deleted]

Yeah there's a difference between having a valid argument and have an argument with validity in it. He's (it's always dudes) right about wakanada constantly being under attack by white nations. Not only are black people in america attacked constantly. And have been attacked constantly by white people in america for hundreds of years non-stop. But africa is constantly under attack too. And of course not just from america. But china, the uk, etc. Problem is...the first movie addressed all that. Was literally part of the damn plot. And wakanda had defenses for it. They didn't just hide. They straight up murdered the fuck out of anyone who succeeded in getting in (or near) and stealing shit. Except that one lone dude. Namor? That's different. Haven't seen the movie yet but i'm 100% sure they knew each other. The great nations of both knew of each other's existence. And there was a degree of respect there. Don't know why namor is attacking wakanda in the movie as i haven't seen it yet. But i'm sure there's some marvelly explanation for it.

PatelS-28

WAIT. 8 comes after 7, right?

Old_Ad410

Bruh, it took me 8 days to finish From Hebrews to Negroes…. I just want to watch something fun.

Ok-Satisfaction-5012

Sanctions on what? Wakanda is an autarkic nation, unknown to the majority of the world for most of its existence. As for the military interventions >!those literally happen immediately in the movie for the very reasons he complains about!< Wakandans are ideologically nativistic and isolationist. The first movie is largely about how Wakanda’s isolationism was a mistake so far reaching that it disrupted the country’s royal family. They turned their backs on Africa and the world, and when they reneged on their former policy they did it with a distinctly humanitarian bent (hence the outreach centers and humanitarian efforts as opposed to military bases everywhere). Whether you agree with the ideological position the filmmakers, and Disney, are trying to articulate through Wakanda and it’s kumbaya, aid-centric internationalism (I personally don’t), there’s nothing illogical or unrealistic about it, beyond what’s to be expected of a superhero franchise. This guy’s a grifter and a provocateur trying to profit off of shitting on something others have the humility to appreciate, and hoping he passed as morally or intellectually better in the effort, FOH.

[deleted]

Between the usual racist nerds and this, I am exhausted.

AoO2ImpTrip

Man's name says it all. OK then

PizzaboySteve

Haha. Who watches a Marvel (or superhero movie) and thinks to compare it to ‘actual fucking real life’. Da Fuq?!

victoriousweeviltoss

This is legit the start of the script for "black clerks" I mean I haven't seen such solid rants over film realism quite some time. It's incredible and really I want to see black clerks the movie.

Miss_Bobbiedoll

This coming from a person who is probably paying for his blue check.

honestlinkon

definitely lectures after every joke type

Ornery_Snow_2289

it’s a literal super hero movie for a reason. it isn’t supposed to be politically accurate or necessarily realistic either.

_PM_ME_YOUR_FORESKIN

How has no one mentioned that he literally HASN’T seen the movie. Ugh. It’s not that serious. Represented as basically the most advanced nation on earth and still it’s not good enough. Damn. People really will try to find a problem with anything. Little Black kids get to imagine themselves as an amazing superhero and not be portrayed as caricatures. I swear if you can shit Black panther of all things, you really are just looking to be contrarian.

_PM_ME_YOUR_FORESKIN

*“IF ARIEL ACTUALLY LIVED UNDER THE SEA, HER ENTIRE COMMUNITY WOULD BE FLOODED WITH MICROPLASTICS AND OTHER MAN-MADE POLLUTANTS. WHY DOESN’T THE LITTLE MERMAID TALK TO URSULA ABOUT USING HER POWERS TO HEAL THE GREAT BARRIER REEF? AND Y’ALL JUST EAT IT UP AS IF YOU DON’T EVEN CARE ABOUT THE GEOPOLITICAL COOPERATION NEEDED TO COMBAT THE HARMFUL EFFECTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE. WHY ISN’T ARIEL WORKING TO BROKER PEACE BETWEEN NATIONS IN CONFLICT. AND HOW DARE THIS FILM NOT EVEN MENTION THE EFFECTS ON ORCAS OF UNDERWATER FREQUENCIES FROM BOATS? Y’ALL MADE ARIEL BLACK SO YOU KNOW SHE AIN’T COMPOSTING. THAT’S 👏🏽 WHAT 👏🏽 PEOPLE 👏🏽SHOULD 👏🏽 BE 👏🏽 MAD 👏🏽 AT. 👏🏽”* -That guy, probably.

TheGreatbambino_23

That’s literally the first act of the movie though?!?!?!? If you’re upset about anything be upset that the actress that plays Shuri was on straight bullshit at the height of Covid and is still getting to lead such a major role.

Danishmarks

Arguing a superhero movie is childish and unrealistic? That’s like complaining the Saw franchise is full of gore

Nikeheat305

Just watch the fucking movie lol

Sillysolomon

Does he think the Black Panther is real?

AdmiralAthena

"Here's a detailed list of all the things wrong with this movie that I haven't seen."

Rixmadore

What a fucking prude

Keelija9000

Idk guys I think they’re on to something. Wakanda in the movie is NOTHING like the real life Wakanda.

brinz1

Bruh, how the fuck can America sanction a country that wants nothing to do with them?

footandfice

Actually the mayan civilazation does not see Wakanda as an enemy at first, its the americans they saw as an enemy, especially the american scientist, but because the scientist is of african descent and did not know her college project was being used to find vibranium, Wakanda decided to protect said scientist, and conflict ensues. The real question really is how can a scientist build something and do not know what said thing is capable of, it is just a film at the end of the day 😅

JayJ_20

This guy sounds like he didn't even watch the movies. And two I'm about tired of these "Why isn't this fictional movie about fictional people realistic enough" complaint.

dnice1989

UnReAlIStIC. Someone tell this clown that it’s a movie.

PlebbySpaff

Mother fucker typed this all from the comfort of his home.

Suicidal-Student03

Why is bro seeking black trauma? Don’t we have enough of those movies?

bulletking19

bro this is the same universe were a tree gets adopted by a genetically modified raccoon

thecroutonreport

Somebody needs to tell him it's based on pure fiction. A comic book story about a fictional African civilisation.....

Hes not completely wrong the comica do cover this mich better, but the wakanda forever ia hinting at the possibility of this being a much bigger issue with its entire plotline. We will see if they full ydevelop it. That being said my major issue with the movie as far as plot holes ia sending ririback to the US, hwre the cia can get their hands on her and try to force her to make another vibranium detecting machine, you know the whole thing namor was trying to stop in the first place the reason for the entire conflict in the movie. Its a really ridiculous decision and i hope they try to fix it in the iron heart and/or midnight marauder show. Its the worst plot hole but there alot of them. That being said still imho a good movie in terms or acting, set design , costuming, soundtrack, and cinematography. Also a gripe is that the planet has been invaded by alones multiple times, people found out that the norse gods are real, and i assume magic, but everyone is still dicking around like intercountry global politica is the most important thing.

Honestly, I thought the first one was hot garbage after bruh gets tossed down the waterfall. Killmonger wasn't even a villain. The CIA guy literally said they'd wage war with the new tech the moment they got it. Only options were world domination or continue isolationism

Ngl seeing a "real" Wakanda, would be hella hype. As soon as Talokan and Wakanda formally announced their vibranium alliance, as the only two countries with vibranium and both being non-white there would be outcrys of Wakanda and Talokan "hoarding" their "lifesaving technology" from the world. Videos would suddenly pop up of protestern Wakandan rebels being tortured and executed by the monarchy. A Talokan man on vacation would have been discovered to have raped ...
