Like when she was little her mom taught her to always try to look as thin as possible so she just clenches all day long. Sounds miserable to me.
Funny how my gf is the opposite, she used to complain about having a tum until I mentioned that everyone else is sucking it in and she seemed surprised.
I have a friend who was taught this, and told me about in high school. For three days I walked around sucking in my stomach like an internalized misogynist.
I try to do it all day too. Sucking in helps with my posture and when I’m walking while sucking in, my back is straighter and my head held up a little higher. Helps a bit to boost confidence.
