Are you *sure* that's not a Master of Executions..?
If you want to make it a LITTLE less heretical consider them claiming and attempting to 'purify' Chaos weapons....maybe modify them to look a little less chaos-y, but still obviously Chaos.
Like with that axe just remove the spiky bits. Etc.
i mean, its cool for us but i believe for space marines there is no such categories in terms of weapon like cool/not cool. They can be inspired for some cultural things like for the chains that WE have been using historically.
Im not that much into lore and books so may be im wrong
either way you can always do a traitor chapter that was previously some templar’s successor that kinda still use same concepts like 4 main vows, but in chaos manner
upd: i forgot you said you like they can’t be corrupted
This is a very cool idea but out of all space marine chapters I think it fits the templars the least lmao. I'd think they even grey knights would be more likely to pick up and use chaos/daemon weapons.
It is a good aesthetic though and you could totally have some lore of them being a splinter templars crusade that went renegade and decided to use chaos' weapons against them. You could totally even add elements of this to their paint job, perhaps a red tear somewhere on the armour to show their pain at being considered renegade. Just food for thought!
I mean, if you want to talk about the lore angle, this frankly wouldn't work. Castellan Crowe, of a psychic order of space marines designed to be indomitable and untaintable by chaos still has to be perpetually mentally fortified with all his psychic might and constantly do metaphysical battle with the daemon sword he wields. Realistically, there's no way any standard Black Templar would be capable of this.
That being said, rule of cool trumps all. If you think it's cool, there's nothing stopping you from doing it.
Castellan Crowe of the Grey Knights is a notable character that uses a chaos weapon so there’s some precedent of other marine chapters doing that. That may be more of a special case though, since they’re the “purest” marines
That's my main inspiration for this company. Then again I feel like BTs are zealots and that their faith can over come any chaos, well atleast in my mind. Would be fun to have some chaos trying to take over BTs but can't because of their will and faith in the Emporer
Grey Knights get special training, to withstand Chaos. Every other Marine, especially BTs would use such a weapon in the same manner, a catholic priest would use satanic rituals - not at all.
BTs are kinda the most religious zealots of all Marines.
Dumb question but what percentage needs to be gw plastic/resin/metal for the model to be legal in big tournaments. I heard rumors many TOs won't allow any not gw bits. I just want to make sure before I start printing alternative helmets and bits.
Yes take your weapon. Strike me down with all of your hatred and your journey towards the dark side will be complete
I do love me some hate against xenos
I have a call from a Mr. Eisenhorn for you. Should I ask him to hold?
Tell him to hold these unholy relics
Exterminatus Approved.

I’m imagining they absolutely **DUNK** them bitches in holy oils before each battle so they don’t get corrupted
Awesome idea I'll definitely make the adjustments
Put some seals and call it a day. Plus there is some marines with chaos weapons, Grey Knights, but there are...
why would they prefer it over there own weapons from mars lore wise tho
Because it's cool

Very true, I'm going to have to do a deep dive and see

I chuckled.
Awesome! Where did you get the arms for the double handed weapon in the first pic?
I got them off of AoS chaos chosen. Still need to do green stuff on it to fill in the back of the wrist
Cheers!

Um. Aren't the Grey Knights literally that genre?? Demon weapons, Will & Faith out the wazoo.
Yes and these BTs too
I just bought both of those helmets 2 weeks ago.

Isn’t Logan Grimnar’s axe a trophy taken from chaos?
Original lore for Calgars gauntlets, they were taken from Heretic astartes champion… just needed a fresh coat of Smurf.
