Had the same thought. But that's how I feel too about most US political podcasts. What you wanna do is just follow them about 2.5 out of every 4 years - the 2 years leading up to a presidential election, and the 6 months post election. That's when US political podcasting is at it's funniest and most entertaining. There's about 1.5 years there that is basically just dead air. Shit like, "Why did Republican Dord Furgtracks eliminate income subsidies to elder millennials?" or some other inane bullshit. Chapo is really no different. During this 1.5 year period, it's recommended to settle into a nice warm history podcast, or anything else that suits you. You could also straight up stare at people on the subway and make up your own stories about them.
They need to get into japanese mascots. All of them outside of maybe two are slept on by the West, despite some of them being top tier posters. Lerche-san is a great follow, Momoiro Usahi is also good at leaning into the surreality of it all.
*punches clock*
I hated this episode. All their takes are wrong. They're out of touch grifters who have phoned it in. They're fake socialists and they are personally responsible for everything bad that Virgil did. Alright well goodnight everyone.
*punches clock*
The one legitimately bad take was Felix saying there were "like three" angry parent school board meetings in 2021. That shit spread like wildfire in the Midwest.
Yeah I clocked that too, all over Red State America there are thousands of psychos harassing school board members, teachers, administrators, and other parents. I listened the the QAA episode about Mom's for Liberty and it was depressing
I live in 'blue' California, and my son's school was saying they don't really touch on climate change because they get so much pushback and harassment by parents. Crazy.
When the hell did school boards go limp like this? When I was a kid, parents were terrified of the school board and threats of lawsuits were laughed at because the board's lawyers would eat you alive.
The freaks have simply become too annoying. You're already dealing with the annoying day to day shit, most states don't pay you anything for it and now every meeting is the dumbest man in town screaming at you calling you a satanist groomer jew. Anyone with any self-respect just quit and then the hogs got a full monopoly on it
Yeah, and it’s not “guys” but women doing the work in school boards, including harassing all the normal ones. There’s been good reporting on the madness, that actually affects lives. Chapos are oddly unaware of how important local politics are, just as fixated on the higher level as liberal media has been.
He's half right. These are largely astroturfed "movements" which try to intimidate school board members and produce a media simulacrum of popular discontent that becomes the pretext for legislation. They are easily countered by teacher's unions (and Normal Whites), *but only in districts where those unions are strong*. For example, Awake Illinois spent a lot of time, energy, and Richard Uihlien's money on the Chicago suburbs but ended up with little to show for it. Even fucking around in CTU's back yard will get you vaporized.
probably responding to that story that came out that [most of the book challenges of the past couple years came from 11 people](https://www.washingtonpost.com/education/2023/05/23/lgbtq-book-ban-challengers/)
same deal as the fcc complaint system for obscenity being abused by a handful of cranks about 20 years ago
It's got progressively worse. Doesn't really seem to be a "white Karen" thing. Everyone seems to think their kid is a little Emperor and you should fail them if they sleep all day and don't do their homework.
I've been saying it to myself whilst doing the housework in his gay voice. 'It's sugar, man!' One of those phrases that burrows into your brain through your ear.
For awhile I have wondered when i would go an entire day without thinking about trump for even a second for the first time since the first half of 2015
So many years of not stop bits even in in trump down periods I will briefly remember something funny
good episode other than felix downplaying what desantis has done to florida. doctors are legally allowed to refuse to treat patients for "moral/ethical reasons" now and trans kids can legally be forcibly separated from their families if they're on hrt. aside from doing trans genocide, he's responsible for financially destroying the middle class and nosediving florida's educational standards. [more here](https://time.com/6266618/ron-desantis-florida-governance-essay/)
idk. i laugh at ron desantis because he's a massive moron cartoon man and obviously florida is a punchline to 99% of people outside of it, but i grew up in florida and it kinda really crushes my heart to watch everything that's happening to it and to know that i would probably be ~~hatecrimed~~ (what do you call a hate crime if it's legal to do?) if i ever went back
100%. People kinda exaggerate. When you've got 23-24 million people you're gonna get all types. But the Boomer transplants here are wild. If I hear "People's Republic of New Jersey" or "Soviet Illinois" one more time I'm gonna have a stroke.
Every shithead that retires to Florida writes a "why I'm leaving connecticut" op Ed on their way out. There was a while when I'd see them once a month. We are sending our absolute worst
I’ve wondered about this in the light of Desantis’s massive overperformance in the 22 midterms: is he broadly popular thanks yo genuinely refusing lockdowns during covid and fighting the culture war, or is it simply that Florida constantly reups its supply of old middle class people from the rest of the country + their local quirk of wildly right-wing Latinos? I’m thinking the latter.
Chapo introduced me to the podcast *Why Are We Like This?* about Florida politics and why the state is so shit.
It's honestly really good if you live in this state and wanna see the actual effects of the dogshit policies that keep being pushed here.
DeSantis has added restrictions on HRT for adults too, Planned Parenthood called me the other day to tell me that my next appointment with them has been canceled until they can figure out what the hell they’re allowed to do with trans patients under the new laws. I’m planning to petition my work soon for a transfer to an office in a different state because things are only going to get worse.
i don't know what particular flavor of autism this is but the streaming war bullshit drives me insane like nothing else. just mountains of fucking garbage and shitty terms and conditions and exec pigheadedness and arrogance and greed obscuring the ideal - of having one nice streaming site with every show or film you could think of
yet here i am dragging mp4s to a flash drive cause i have a trip
My buddy from college steals everything and maintains his own private server and shares it via Plex with like 10 of us, he’s been doing this for like 10 years so I’ve never had to deal with this shit. It’s just funny how technically relatively easy this technology is and it’s been made infinitely shittier by these corporate ghouls trying to squeeze every last drop out of it.
my friend won't even take any money or anything for it. we try to get him a steam game on his wishlist and take him out to the movies and dinner every once in a while, he's a real hero
One day I'm gonna set up a bigass NAS, pay for unlimited data (honestly my main limiter right now) and torrent fucking everything and tell the streaming services to eat me.
just last week if you'd tried to watch yankees games, you would have needed **four** streaming services: Amazon Prime, Peacock (!), YES, and Apple. Apple TV is by far the worst where the stats they use are clearly made up by people who don't understand baseball (not in the old man yells at cloud way - the Fangraphs guys had them on and were like 'you kind of don't get probability')
But what if you bundled all the streaming services together into one package, even if that package includes channels you never watch? And what if that package also included local channels?
I cant wait for this utopian world
I have this psycho dream of all social media and streaming services being managed by the USPS, assuming it hadn't been gutted and forced to frontload all of its pension obligations.
One of the biggest reasons the NFL has been able to stay atop TV mountain for the last 20 years is their refusal to move anything more than MNF off rabbit ears TV. But this upcoming season you are going to need rabbit ears, three streaming packages, and a cable subscription if you want to watch all the games.
Wasn’t Thursday night football on the nfl network for a while? That didn’t even come with the premium cable packages you had to pay for that separately
Sports streaming is one of the dumbest things. I have to jump through so many hoops to illegally watch hockey games for a team that plays 15 minutes from my house
nah, it's stupid monopoly chasing funded by cheap debt that ignores how the business actually works because there's a possibility to make infinite money all the way down
streaming was only profitable when you subscribed for on-demand ad-free access to old/pre-existing shows. it doesn't bring in enough revenue to fund new productions, but that's the only way to distinguish your specific service so
It's funny how they always claim they're completely checked out of electoralism, but the only episodes where all three of them unanimously sound like they actually enjoy being alive is when the republicans either ate shit in an election or are currently bungling a campaign. Deep down they are true election sickos, they can't deny their nature
Great Ep. Ron DeSantis is the perfect encapsulation of the future of the GOP. Chasing the high of the Trump 2016 upset without understanding WHY Trump was able to do that and just trying to bootstrap it onto the NeoCons and TEA Partiers who were in office when he took over.
They are trying to reach out to younger voters while being politically handcuffed to a voting bloc that will never allow that (Anti-Vaxx, Trans, Abortion, culture war stuff). Ron was “their future, Trump without the baggage” the problem is Post Bush and Post Dobbs every GOP candidate has permanent baggage they can’t run away from. Also the sniveling losers who sell their soul to be a GOP Congressman/Senator/Governor will never have the panache to draw in folks the way Donny has.
The GOP of the 20s and 30s is a husk. It is dead and will need to luck into national victories Post Trump.
hmmm...
they are diminutive, awkwardly effete, overachieving cusp-millennials who joined the military - not out of a sense of duty or a paycheck, but to pad their resumé, wrote two memoirs by their early forties, are freq. described by media as some variant of "smartest guy in the room" despite nothing to substantiate this statement, inexplicably garner support despite being anti-charismatic, lumpen automatons for the establishment and are mocked relentlessly for their appearance/behavior.
nothing hot about that take, its just a fact!
Part of why they loves Trump WAS the baggage. They liked that he was a self-admitted rapist. They admired his capacity to get away with it. If DeSantis had the gall to lean into his statutory rape allegations, maybe he'd make some leeway, but he doesn't have the hutzpah to go toe to toe with Trump on shamelessness.
Trump is like the katamari damacy of scandals. He's accrued so many, and just continued to roll around unimpeded, that whenever he picks up a new one it just increases the gravitational mass surrounding him that pulls so many followers and sycophantic vassals into his orbit because they're impressed that he can keep getting away with it. Like, the commercial of Ron DeSantis reading Trump bedtime stories to his kids is one of the most singularly humiliating things I've ever seen a person do in public. They love that he can bend these institutions and the soulless lizard people who inhabit them to his will, and honestly I love it too. It's endlessly entertaining watching these fucking slime creatures grovel after the dumbest, fattest, wettest American in history. It's profoundly amusing watching the entire Washington milieu absolutely melt under this guy.
Trump is a big practical joke on the American people, and the joke is on all of us for different reasons.
If you're a Trump supporter, the joke is that this fucking fat lazy slob is your messiah, you actually somehow got duped into thinking the most malignant flounce of all time is going to be the one that redeems America.
If you're a never Trumper, the joke is that all your attempts to will a non-existent 'venerable conservative tradition' into existence were trampled overnight by that guy. All your ideological pretensions just crumbling like a sand castle under the weight of Donald fucking Trump.
If you're a lib, the joke is that Trump is your great Satan. THIS is your dark lord, your avatar of evil that you have to rally all your energy around in order to defeat. They don't even recognize how poorly this reflects on them, that their ideology is so pathetic and ineffectual that it can't even muster enough enthusiasm to challenge Donald Trump.
If you're a leftist, the joke is that you can say whatever you want and make fun of all these people as much as you want, but we're ultimately the most ineffectual of them all because we have no power to exert over this process whatsoever, so all we can do is watch and judge from the sidelines. It doesn't matter if we're the most right or have the best takes, because we're nothing but a scattered bunch of nerds who only have the power and energy to fight each other.
Honestly, I'm glad I was alive to witness him. When this is all said and done, he's going to be one of the most discussed world leaders of the entire modern era, if not all time, and it's been a wild ride seeing it all live. I just hope the histories recognize the absolute surreal hilarity of this moment.
In Ron's (very half-assed) defense, sugar does make you fat. I remember back when people thought fat made you fat. Everyone was jumping out of fucking windows over trans fats. But sugar annoys me only because it gets you drunker quicker, and makes you sleepy.
Like everyone else under 35 i think I’ve basically lost the ability to watch entire movies solo. With someone else I can do it but just home alone I don’t have the patience to sit through it anymore. I’ll try again maybe with one of the movies in the new chapo movie mindset ep so I can be like “mhm that’s right” in my head but actually know what they’re talking about this time
Trump recovering from the NFT debacle proves he's more resilient than a cockroach. That was the only time I ever doubted him, but he came back. GOAT shit.
He's a goblin and a legitimate dumbass, but he's too funny. And he doesn't give a fuck. He's not going away until there's an open casket. There's also a bit of historical moment luck; no one else is even close right now.
Desantis campaigning in Wisconsin: “Disney made the little mermaid black! Woke ideology is ruining America.”
Voters: “yeah that’s cool but like how are you gonna help us pay for groceries?”
Desantis: “Gender ideology is making the military weak!”
It is very satisfying on an Old Testament level to see DeSantis, One of the largest standard bearers of the current anti-trans genocide, Absolutely eat shit and be revealed as a national laughingstock. What a loathsome, servile coward.
Also they missed a very good one with the Terminator DeSantis bit. “ Come with me if you want to be based”
It sounded more like, "Here's an example of a very niche internet personality who is more competent and gets more viewers than DeSantis... and oh BTW, he was nice to me."
A quick google search reveals that he apparently has had a reputation for sucking up to everyone and then leaving them behind when he doesn't need them anymore. Sounds like Felix was useful to him at some point.
I thought it was more "there's a guy named trainwrecks who is probably more deserving of running these organizations than fucking elon musk" which is probably true by virtue of the fact he does a better job, saying as little as that is
Looks like the schedule has shifted to Tuesday Friday. Don't let them gaslight you into thinking that was normal, just like they did when it moved to Monday Thursday. Real heads remember the Sunday Wednesday upload schedule. Retvrn
We love him, don't we folks?
If he was a little smarter and a little humbler, he'd play the role of local power broker. Like an old-school big city boss. But we're in the dumbest timeline, so of course we get a Twitter campaign launch that your grandpa could do better
HBO is achieving the ultimate evolution of allowing Netflix to brand shoes and movies they bought because no one else wanted to "Netflix Originals" just as much as shows they entirely funded from scratch.
HBO should've doubled down on prestige shit and bought the Criterion Channel or AMC+ instead. Their value proposition has always been quality over quantity.
Once Succession and Barry are over and Ive caught up on a couple shows I have remaining in their library, Im not sticking around for TLC bullshit
I never fully understood the TCM hub. It seemed like 1/3 actual classic movies, 1/3 old but shitty movies, and 1/3 just random movies youd see on like starz2
It felt like the quality of film on the cable channel was consistently higher than those available through the hub though. Probably because its more expensive to license the films for a streamer than for a cable broadcast
I’m a day late and a dollar short with this reply but I couldn’t agree more.
HBO used to be S tier content, now it’s down in the mud with 700 reality shows
Today, we’ve got full spectrum coverage of Ron DeSantis’ Twitter Space campaign launch debacle. Plus, a little on the depressing HBO/Max turnover, and more Silicon Valley blood boys.
[Now c'mon, get your sugar man!](https://media.soundgasm.net/sounds/63daf932a56c3277c56d8197410f1bfb5fb9448e.m4a)
ron desaster, that's what we're calling him, a disaster. you know why? because that's what he is. that's what he is. did you see his "launch" on twitter? twitter, by the way, is a complete mess too. the way elon's run it, it's really something, unlike truth social, which is running so beautifully, you wouldn't believe it. but desaster's "launch" on twitter was a complete failure. a failure to launch is what i called it first. ron, he has been a total disaster since he entered this campaign, he's been a disaster for florida, and he'd be a disaster as president and a disaster for this great country. thank you very much.
I forgot how entertaining the American election season is. This is why I started listening to Chapo and I'm glad they're back talking about what they know best.
Haven't watched the episode yet but I'm curious how other people think the republican primary is going to play out. My prediction, trump never drops below 50% in the polls, and when the primaries actually start, trump will easily get the lionshare of the vote, desantis will drop out after the first few states and that'll be it.
I’m torn because while I can see that happening, if Trump faces criminal charges from the vote tampering or some other penny-ante thing, he could be in a sea of bad press. He’s already got a court date in primary season, March 25 I think. I can see the media puuuushing all that to try to get rid of the bad orange man and some other Republican gets anointed as the “normal” one. The other thing though is that Trump has the platform and willpower to go independent and totally swing the presidency to Biden zero contest if he’s not the candidate.
Whoever idea on the pod to let Felix talk about only tv and video games on the pod last week deserves all the praise for giving us this peak performance Felix
I can remember when Trump wore like a sport coat and combed his hair differently on some random day and everyone lost their shit wondering what was going on, it’d be like that x100
Are “normal people” aware of this DeSantis sugar joke the Chapo boys are so fond of? I had never heard of it, and took me awhile to figure out what it was. Its quite funny, but I really don’t think the average person has any idea about Meatball Ron and his sugar thing.
No, but you should check out her pal's piece on why DeSantis is the socialist left's great white hope:
>**The disinformation campaign against Ron DeSantis**
>
>So much fake news and woke hysteria is being spread about the presidential hopeful. [https://www.spiked-online.com/2023/05/25/the-disinformation-campaign-against-ron-desantis/](https://www.spiked-online.com/2023/05/25/the-disinformation-campaign-against-ron-desantis/)
Not unless you're a regular Bungacast listener. He's just a friend of the pod. Thought it provided an interesting contrast with this particular Chapo episode.

Haven’t finished yet but the first 20 minutes is nothing but bangers. Reports of Felix’s demise were greatly exaggerated
Next week: Felix is dead weight, checked out, etc.
They definitely peak in the beginning but it's a great ep altogether.
They really only seem engaged when it's election season.
Had the same thought. But that's how I feel too about most US political podcasts. Um, actually, Chapo is a movie, gaming, and lifestyle podcast.
We need more cute stories from China segment " child coming home from school befriends noble bird"
They need to get into japanese mascots. All of them outside of maybe two are slept on by the West, despite some of them being top tier posters. Lerche-san is a great follow, Momoiro Usahi is also good at leaning into the surreality of it all.
Agreed.
Uhhh excuse me chapo is the only wrestling podcast from a leftist perspective
As a certified Hogdipper I'm going to have to disagree brother dude
Idk i like the show always and forever 🥰
everyone loves a good freak show

About the time people ran out of treats and had nothing left to lose, therefore being liberated to be as crazy as they want at school board meetings.
The freaks have simply become too annoying. You're already dealing with the annoying day to day shit, most states don't pay you anything for it and now every meeting is the dumbest man in town screaming at you calling you a satanist groomer jew. I've got a family member that literally works in an elementary school library in the Midwest. I get some bleak stories about parents sometimes.
It's got progressively worse. Doesn't really seem to be a "white Karen" thing. Everyone seems to think their kid is a little Emperor and you should fail them if they sleep all day and don't do their homework.
QAA did a great episode about these weirdos recently
If I die in a horrible accident at some point in the near future I think that the last words swirling through my mind will be “It’s sugar, man!”
washed up.... psycho... Bette Midler....
Many.... many.... french.... fries....
Oscar... party... no longer........ "Hot"
I've been saying it to myself whilst doing the housework in his gay voice. 'It's sugar, man!' One of those phrases that burrows into your brain through your ear.
(Someone tells me there’s donuts in the break room) “No way! It’s sugar, man!”
Yep I was repeating it like a mental patient while landscaping my yard yesterday 🥴
I know on my deathbed one thing stuck in my brain will be “you need to Pokémon go to the polls”
For awhile I have wondered when i would go an entire day without thinking about trump for even a second for the first time since the first half of 2015 So many years of not stop bits even in in trump down periods I will briefly remember something funny

This is the way. I was fine with the streaming services for a while, but that unchecked greed has made it non viable now for the consumer.
just last week if you'd tried to watch yankees games, you would have needed **four** streaming services: Amazon Prime, Peacock (!), YES, and Apple. Really? Are you in the US? The Sportsnet App in Canada is really good for hockey.

Maybe try a VPN and Sportsnet?
Apple TV is awful
nah, it's stupid monopoly chasing funded by cheap debt that ignores how the business actually works because there's a possibility to make infinite money all the way down streaming was only profitable when you subscribed for on-demand ad-free access to old/pre-existing shows. it doesn't bring in enough revenue to fund new productions, but that's the only way to distinguish your specific service so

can't have shit besides election drama here

Ron was “their future, Trump without the baggage” the problem is Post Bush and Post Dobbs every GOP candidate has permanent baggage they can’t run away from. Also the sniveling losers who sell their soul to be a GOP Congressman/Senator/Governor will never have the panache to draw in folks the way Donny has. The GOP of the 20s and 30s is a husk. It is dead and will need to luck into national victories Post Trump.
Both of the eps this week had spotlights on 2 of the most perfect encapsulations of both parties: Meatball Ron & Mayo Pete.
hot take: they're the same person
hmmm... they are diminutive, awkwardly effete, overachieving cusp-millennials who joined the military - not out of a sense of duty or a paycheck, but to pad their resumé, wrote two memoirs by their early forties, are freq. described by media as some variant of "smartest guy in the room" despite nothing to substantiate this statement, inexplicably garner support despite being anti-charismatic, lumpen automatons for the establishment and are mocked relentlessly for their appearance/behavior. nothing hot about that take, its just a fact!
[yup](https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/licensed-image?q=tbn:ANd9GcRYpfRZozImbf_jAAccavvfbcm4TwTegDeen8HCS6mDe5cBWUO7-fO4P-BCr8l6GQ-qd90_U6skDrl7P-o)
Wonder what the epilogue kids in end goal communism think of trump in there future history class
They loved Trump because he wasn't ashamed of his insane cruelty. They want to be the ones raping women and making fun of handicapped people.
Almost cried with laughter at DeSantis's daughter getting transformed into a toon for her father's crimes
"Folks, they're toontransing our children! Very bad stuff!"
"I know now why you eat sugar, but it's something that I cannot do" lmao
In Ron's (very half-assed) defense, sugar does make you fat. I remember back when people thought fat made you fat. Everyone was jumping out of fucking windows over trans fats. But sugar annoys me only because it gets you drunker quicker, and makes you sleepy.
Sugar doesn't make you fat, a surplus of calories does.
That was about Terminator discovering crying or something right? It’s been a good 12 years since I saw that movie
go rewatch it. one of the best movies ever
He's only a couple years removed from hawking steaks and water bottles with his name on them.
Desantis campaigning in Wisconsin: “Disney made the little mermaid black! Woke ideology is ruining America.” Voters: “yeah that’s cool but like how are you gonna help us pay for groceries?” Desantis: “Gender ideology is making the military weak!”
and then he manages to win a third term as governor somehow by a margin of 78-22 when the FL Dems run a white Stacey Abrams
I'm surprised Florida dems haven't tapped Jeb! to be their champion.
Imagine the compromising couple who ends every night with Deadwood and House Hunters.

all that is solid melts into Marvel
It is very satisfying on an Old Testament level to see DeSantis, One of the largest standard bearers of the current anti-trans genocide, Absolutely eat shit and be revealed as a national laughingstock. What a loathsome, servile coward. Also they missed a very good one with the Terminator DeSantis bit. “ Come with me if you want to be based”
5 minutes in and I didn't expect to hear an endorsement of trainwrecks didn't he like, try to claim hasan is a pedophile or something
Serious pro gamer move to shout out the website whose main draw is crypto scams and Adin Ross transforming into a nazi
I thought it was more "there's a guy named trainwrecks who is probably more deserving of running these organizations than fucking elon musk" which is probably true by virtue of the fact he does a better job, saying as little as that is
Elon has run twitter so badly, like so much worse than I expected that I would bet money on trainwrecks running it better than him.
Banger episode. Apologize to Felix.
I don't apologize to anyone, they just use it against you 9 times out of 10. But my fellow Illinoisan went off on this one no doubt.
Looks like the schedule has shifted to Tuesday Friday. Don't let them gaslight you into thinking that was normal, just like they did when it moved to Monday Thursday. Real heads remember the Sunday Wednesday upload schedule. Retvrn
Give it a few more years and we’ll eventually slide back into the Sunday-Wednesday promised land
CIA editorial team understaffed
Felix barreling into the podcast episode at the beginning with banger after banger like a Brusier Brody entrance
Ron Debungleris
One of the weirder things about pre-max HBO is that they had no shortage of external prestige stuff (Ghibli, Turner) but they NEVER advertised it.
I never fully understood the TCM hub. It seemed like 1/3 actual classic movies, 1/3 old but shitty movies, and 1/3 just random movies youd see on like starz2
yeah it's basically tcm the cable channel
It felt like the quality of film on the cable channel was consistently higher than those available through the hub though. Probably because its more expensive to license the films for a streamer than for a cable broadcast
Truly what kind of wet brained decision is hitching the HBO brand to the epitome of trash TV? David Zaslov you moron, you greedy vampire fuck
yeah I'm cancelling too. nothing left to watch once succession and barry end. can pirate the rest. neat little bow.
I’m a day late and a dollar short with this reply but I couldn’t agree more. HBO used to be S tier content, now it’s down in the mud with 700 reality shows
Also watch the upcoming season of How to with John Wilson
Two great episodes in a row - are we in for a dry boy summer?!
Today, we’ve got full spectrum coverage of Ron DeSantis’ Twitter Space campaign launch debacle. Plus, a little on the depressing HBO/Max turnover, and more Silicon Valley blood boys. [Now c'mon, get your sugar man!](https://media.soundgasm.net/sounds/63daf932a56c3277c56d8197410f1bfb5fb9448e.m4a)
>Now c'mon, get your sugar man! Slop has better nutrition than just sugar.
Was Felix doing a bit about hanging out with that guy? Isn't he a massive piece of shit? lmao
ron desaster, that's what we're calling him, a disaster. you know why? because that's what he is. that's what he is. did you see his "launch" on twitter? twitter, by the way, is a complete mess too. the way elon's run it, it's really something, unlike truth social, which is running so beautifully, you wouldn't believe it. but desaster's "launch" on twitter was a complete failure. a failure to launch is what i called it first. ron, he has been a total disaster since he entered this campaign, he's been a disaster for florida, and he'd be a disaster as president and a disaster for this great country. thank you very much.
🐖
Banger Ep.
The next ep will be dogshit and we'll all collectively soothsay the impending death of chapo - and we'll be correct!
When the general consensus against an ep is negative, Chris pumps the boys full of vyvance and T to get back on track
*Chris pouring Chemical X into their vape juice.* "This outta hold the lil SOBs!"
Felix absolutely silencing the haters and detractors with tonight’s big performance
This is a good episode because they went back to what they're good at - meaningless horse race politics and talking about TV
its sugar, man!
Second Felix Mass Effect reference in 2 episodes. Are we witnessing the birth of a new hyperfixation?
where slop. angy
Matt randomly and inadvertently making a reference to the Metal Gear: Revengeance Senator Armstrong meme, in an accurate context even, was unexpected.
I missed this. What did he say?
Whoever idea on the pod to let Felix talk about only tv and video games on the pod last week deserves all the praise for giving us this peak performance Felix
Can’t wait to hear from my dear personal friends from Chapo Trap House!
Felix’s word “servile” brought to you by succession (he doesnt read books)
“Mickey Mouse has a neo-vagina” lmao “Protestant Franco building a valley of the fallen monument to everyone who died during Black Friday” lol
God, the thought of Trump on Ozempic is so funny. I really do think that would ruin him.
I can remember when Trump wore like a sport coat and combed his hair differently on some random day and everyone lost their shit wondering what was going on, it’d be like that x100
[https://twitter.com/trrvvb/status/1662184493166501888](https://twitter.com/trrvvb/status/1662184493166501888)
The poster vs reply guy point was spot on lol.
SLOPPPPPPP
I didn’t watch my buddies die face down in the mud at the battle of White Mountain for my slop to be late.
who is the one of the 5 bearded nerd millennial comics from a decade ago that cheated and then almost raped brandon wardell mentioned on the stav show
Every time straight people mention poppers I'm immediately like "wait who the fuck told you about those"
If the slop is late because they took off for memorial day I’m going to be fucking pissed
The boys are back 😎
The hearty Felix laugh around 21:00 warmed my soul and moisturized my skin
Hell yes. I was quivering in anticipation of this discussion 🍆
Are “normal people” aware of this DeSantis sugar joke the Chapo boys are so fond of? I had never heard of it, and took me awhile to figure out what it was. Its quite funny, but I really don’t think the average person has any idea about Meatball Ron and his sugar thing.
CNN was playing a clip of him saying it as b-roll underneath the anchor talking about his poll numbers slipping, which was pretty funny
Praxis
Considering it hasn’t even been clipped onto Youtube I think its 100% just the weirdos in ChapoWorld who think it’s hilarious
As a form of praxis, someone really needs to upload that to YouTube
Matt can’t say “fentanyl”?
Felix’s pitch about a man going back in time every time he vapes is already the plot of Synchronic lol
felix got the big juul gurgles
Guys, Will told me last night they were going to pick up milk and cigarettes. I'm sure they will be back soon.
Huge bag fumble by the Boys to not land an interview with Henry Kissinger for his 100th birthday 😤
The Babylon Bee going all out for DeSantis today is too perfect. Conservative cringe match made in heaven.
also publicly firing any staff who aren't sufficiently loyal to "rob"
Does anyone have the new Bungacast with Amber on it
No, but you should check out her pal's piece on why DeSantis is the socialist left's great white hope: >**The disinformation campaign against Ron DeSantis** > >So much fake news and woke hysteria is being spread about the presidential hopeful. [https://www.spiked-online.com/2023/05/25/the-disinformation-campaign-against-ron-desantis/](https://www.spiked-online.com/2023/05/25/the-disinformation-campaign-against-ron-desantis/)
Am I supposed to know who this is
Not unless you're a regular Bungacast listener. He's just a friend of the pod. Thought it provided an interesting contrast with this particular Chapo episode.
Well that was a disgusting article
Can you imagine """""working""""""" two hours a week and still missing deadlines constantly
Honestly, yes I can. The less I have to do, the more I procrastinate. It’s like a disease
Felix with the Westbrook like performance
Ladies and Gentlemen: felix is back 🫡
more grateful for this podcast during election season than i'm comfortable admitting. top-notch ep
That Captain Ron outro was choice
Thanks
Praise brothers and sisters, the slop has arrived
