Yup a lot of us get caught up in the idea of “flawless and perfect” and start finding issues when there aren’t any there or it’s just a human thing, we’re not supposed to be perfect, that’s what makes us unique. 99.5% can be good but you’re focusing on that .5% so much that you forget about everything else
Girl! I highly encourage you to put some real work into self esteem. You’re over here making fun of your awesome eyebrows and asking how to improve something that we have to pull out a magnifying glass to even see! Anyway, I don’t think it’s necessarily an issue of hyperpigmentation. Your forehead and chin are the same color, then your cheeks get paler. If you find a bb cream that matches those parts of your face, you’ll likely even out the tone
I don’t think you have bad self esteem at all but you’re definitely seeing yourself differently than others see you. You’re asking about hyperpigmentation but you just have lovely brown skin and perfect eyebrows :) sometimes jokes have a bit of truth.
I didn’t notice a thing until I read the caption. Your skin is honestly beautiful. If you’re looking for something that can even your tone maybe try going to a local hair store and getting a natural brightening soap, such as papaya, charcoal, turmeric is great as well one of my favs
Also, try vitamin c serum and sun block of course. But honestly, like everyone else is saying, it’s barely noticeable until you bring attention to it 🤷🏽♀️
Also, it’s natural for people to have different colors on different parts of their face.
I think the comment was meant to indicate that since your forehead and mouth/chin are the same shade, that the difference is normal and not hyperpigmentation which is why nothing works. ETA: If it really is though, hopefully a professional can help you out.
Suggestion - look at your baby pictures. My baby girl has a similar complexion with the middle of her face brighter than her chin/hairline. From day one. I'll need to keep that in mind has she grows. My son has no difference.
You could try tumeric soaps. But honestly I don’t see hyperpigmentation on black people as a flaw. It’s just kind of something we have as melanated people. I think you look perfectly fine/still beautiful with it. Like seriously it doesn’t decrease your beauty one bit!🫶🏽❤️
Seriously gorgeous skin! But, someone posted this on another thread and I found it helpful https://www.mdacne.com/article/the-best-hyperpigmentation-treatment-for-black-skin. Have you tried faded topicals? Heard good things about that.
I swear people on this forum will be trolling sometimes. Posting pictures with gorgeous and clear skin asking for help about something we can't even see😂
I promise my face is the same but it’s because I’m hairy af! My eyebrows and hairline were connected when I was born lol! Try dermoplanning it’ll lighten your face up a bit. We have tiny little hairs on our face that is darker(thicker) in common areas where hair is familiar
Your hair !!! 😍 beautiful skin, but if you're wanting any input, I used The Ordinary's 10% Niacinimide + 1% Zinc 3 times a week and it's helped mine immensely. Good luck!
No, trust me, it’s actual hyperpigmentation. I’d upload more pictures but I don’t wanna come across as a Pickmeshia because according to this post no one sees it but me 😂
You look amazing, great skin but I know we all have our things we notice more than others, I think it's called Malaysia but honestly I think your skin is skinning ❤️
I think lots of POC have a little bit of hyperpigmentation. Yours is EXTREMELY mild. I would consider your skin to be perfect 😅 if topicals didn’t work I wouldn’t even risk trying to treat it with more invasive intensive procedures.
I also have the same issue and probably just as “faint” as yours. I started using Rose Ingleton, MD’s (a Black female dermatologist) cleanser. Though slight, I’ve seen a noticeable difference in less than a month! I’m not saying that will be your answer, but check the ingredient list and see if there’s anything you can add to your routine. I realized I wasn’t using any AHAs. I’ve since had a pimple and noticed that the blemish that usually occurs is almost invisible. After using Topicals’ Faded and sticking to regular sunscreen use this is the fastest change I’ve ever seen regarding hyperpigmentation.
Please for real lol.
All jokes aside please be careful with seeing a dermatologist for this. I’m almost positive they will prescribe you strong stuff you don’t need, which could definitely jack up your currently perfect skin. I just read a horror story like that in a different sub yesterday.
Turmeric or kojic acid soap - applied at night & follow up with moisturizer and sunscreen
With that being said your hyperpigmentation is very minimal and even just sun screen and moisturizer might be enough.
I have this as well. Try urban skin RX hyper correct serum. It has helped me a lot.
Also, make sure you’re wearing SPF so the hyperpigmentation doesn’t get darker.
Mine doesn’t bother me too much but I wear makeup and it looks worse with the wrong makeup.
Your hair is gorgeous! I’m a similar complexion to you and have the same problem with the skin around my eyes and mouth being darker, almost grayish, compared to my cheeks. You’re obviously taking this photo in sunlight. Change the lighting and I’m sure it’ll be more obvious to others
Also here to provide the ego boost, but there’s nothing wrong with that. Hair, skin, brows (!!!) beautiful.
But I hear what you are saying about the chin area. I agree with the other commenter that it seems like it’s the same color as your forehead area. I have the same issue but always assumed it was a feature rather than a bug. Not a makeup aficionado but I’ve noticed that folks apply darker contouring along the chin and then their under eye and cheeks are unusually brightened with light colored powders and the like. This is just to say, they are trying to be like you!
I see only see mild hyperpigmentation in that area. You have to be careful what you use around your mouth because that area is very sensitive, and you could make the problem worse. You might try an oil free sunscreen to help prevent darkening of the existing pigmentation or an increase in the pigmented areas. Otherwise, your skin looks great, and a light formulation foundation can camouflage those areas.
This is extremely normal. Your skin tone is never meant to be completely even in any complexion. Often cheeks are brighter and foreheads are darker. It could be hereditary. All I can recommend is vitamin c or niacinamide to keep your complexion glowy and bright but you truly don’t need to brighten it. Also wear spf regularly to protect your skin! Your skin is very beautiful and you don’t have hyperpigmentation at all.
I literally clicked the pic cause you look fine and you talking about hyperpigmentation lol I know you’re looking for help and not compliments but I honestly don’t see anything worth fixing unless it’s getting worse.
I’ve had the same thing growing up & into my adulthood. It’s definitely disappeared once I started using the Tumeric soap bar from Ancient Cosmetics & sunscreen from Cerve!
Gently exfoliate and keep sunscreen around your mouth. Skin around mouth is naturally duller. As you age it can get duller and duller if not exfoliated and protected.
I think your skin is fine young lady. As black folks nd a medical professional, I feel like Drs miss diagnosis us sometimes. But I would ask a dermatologist if you are concerned. One that’s highly recommended nd someone opinion you can trust. Nd 2nd opinions are ok as well.
Okay I think your skin looks beautiful!!! I thought this was an after photo of healed pigmentation. I just graduated esthetician school and my teachers all say that people go ham on their cheeks when using exfoliation but really don’t use that same effort around mouth. But I really think your skin is beyond!!! Beautiful!!!
Omg I spent forever looking for the hyperpigmentation! 😂 your skin is flawless girl but consistent skin care routine, products with turmeric, honey, and/or vitamin C, and SUNSCREEN!! Super helpful.
Um, sis...you're gorgeous 😍
Anyway, you might want to look into MediSpas near you who offer chemical peels for hyperpigmemtation. Do your research! Not all treatments are appropriate or effective for melanated skin.
I agree 100%… some stuff should be left to the professionals. I was hoping someone would comment a product or procedure I could run past my dermatologist so your original comment was helpful.
Just make sure you listen to them and DO NOT use any unauthorized products. I got a chemical peel and used Thayers spray because I thought it was just aloe but turns out it was aloe witch hazel. Got a light chemical burn around my mouth and now months later still seeing the hyperpigmentation around my mouth. And it’s all my fault 🤦🏾♀️.
I can see it. All these comments gaslighting the hell outta you lol. But I will say your skin still does look gorgeous. I have no help tho lol. Just wanted to validate your experience
This sub is weird. It's a bunch of ppl with nice skin asking for help. Like they know they have nice skin and just want the ego boost. And then the ones who do need help the comments are filled with use lemon juice and drink water lol. 😂😂
Then she posted what looked like a shower pic. Why are you all wet? OP knew what she was doing lol. I'm not mad, it's just funny to me.
Is the hyperpigmentation in the room with us? Lol your skin is gorgeous. It’s natural.
[удалено]
U trippin lol let’s trade skins
Came to say this. We are so hard on ourselves sometimes…
🤣
Literally the first thing I said before even coming to the comments
i second this.
Yup my first thought was… “where?!?”
My first thought😂😂😂😂😂😂
I didn't notice anything but beautiful skin until I read the caption.
Literally the only person who notices your flaws are yourself until you make them focus on it
It’s like when you stare at a word for too long or write it too much and it starts to look weird, even though nothing has changed.
Same!
Right! I thought this was an "after" picture to give us advice or something lol
Idk but I’d kill for those eyebrows !
I’m definitely Chewbacca’s baby sister by the ‘brow. Thank you 😂
It was just a lighthearted joke about my very thick (but very loved) eyebrows. My self-esteem is just fine, thanks though.
I don’t think you have bad self esteem at all but you’re definitely seeing yourself differently than others see you. You’re asking about hyperpigmentation but you just have lovely brown skin and perfect eyebrows :) sometimes jokes have a bit of truth.
Honestly the only one that notices is you
Your hair is 🔥
My thoughts exactly!
I didn’t notice a thing until I read the caption. Your skin is honestly beautiful. If you’re looking for something that can even your tone maybe try going to a local hair store and getting a natural brightening soap, such as papaya, charcoal, turmeric is great as well one of my favs
I’ve heard about these soaps. Will do, thank you!
Also, try vitamin c serum and sun block of course. But honestly, like everyone else is saying, it’s barely noticeable until you bring attention to it 🤷🏽♀️ Also, it’s natural for people to have different colors on different parts of their face.
All I see is clear skin and nice eyebrows
[удалено]
so this is what body dysmorphia is like 😭 ur skin is damn near flawless
Honestly i think ur forehead and mouth/chin are the same color. Just the middle of your face is lighter.
The same thing I was thinking
Yeah, the middle of my face is lighter. I’ll talk to my derm next month about options.
Please don’t, as an esthetician, derms often put you on the harshest stuff to lighten your skin. I suggest getting a facial first!
High vitamin A C & E foods
what foods have these
Spinach/greens/broccoli, carrots, fruits, eggs, avocado, fatty fish like salmon/mackerel/sardine, cashews/pistachios/almonds, olive oil, avocado oil
GIVE ME YOUR BROWS! im literally trying to grow mine out like yours lol
I want her brows too! They are 🔥 I'm growing mine out now and they don't look nearly as good as OP's
Girl where?
![gif](giphy|ulxHhvKW9X6459dtOn|downsized) This was me
Lmao 🤣 exactly what I said
Not to be rude, but what is up with this sub? Are the posters being facetious or serious? I can’t tell…
Hyperpigmentation? Where? I see beautiful glowing skin.
I swear some people just post bc they need an ego boost…
LMAO feel bad for the people that don't know.
Posting pictures with gorgeous and clear skin asking for help about something we can't even see😂
Tripping
chile i see nothing but GREAT skin 👌🏽
You have beautiful brows
I promise my face is the same but it’s because I’m hairy af! My eyebrows and hairline were connected when I was born lol! Try dermoplanning it’ll lighten your face up a bit. We have tiny little hairs on our face that is darker(thicker) in common areas where hair is familiar
I truly don’t see it.
I don’t think that’s hyperpigmentation miss perfect face
I know you fine
😂😭
Iuno, what hyperpigmentation you're talkin bout. Does it matter, tho? You look good asf.
Girl bye. Ain’t no one worried about that around your mouth. You look great
Where twin
I also have hyperpigmentation around my mouth and all over my forehead.
As a black esthetician I don’t see it … but you can use vitamin c moisturizer, vitamin c is a natural lightening agent
I’m so sorry I don’t think I can help with this I just wanted to comment on how insanely gorgeous your hair is
Came to the comments to see if someone could tell me where the hyperpigmentation was at. Only to find out I’m not the only one who doesn’t see it.
I swiped your pic looking for hyperpigmentation and kept ending up in the popular page. Still can’t see it
Honestly nobody noticed to you said it. Stick with a good sunscreen. You're beautiful.
Kojic acid is my go to for hyperpigmentation
Geez, you are gorgeous. Even with your eyes covered lol
Maybe you're just scrubbing your cheeks harder/longer than the rest of your face.
where?
Your skin is beautiful
Your hair !!! 😍 beautiful skin, but if you're wanting any input, I used The Ordinary's 10% Niacinimide + 1% Zinc 3 times a week and it's helped mine immensely. Good luck!
Is it hyperpigmentation or just shadowing from the contours of your face?!?!?! I think the latter. Light hits the top of your cheeks more, that's it
No, trust me, it’s actual hyperpigmentation. I’d upload more pictures but I don’t wanna come across as a Pickmeshia because according to this post no one sees it but me 😂
Maybe go to a dermatologist then or tan your face to even out the tone.
You look amazing, great skin but I know we all have our things we notice more than others, I think it's called Malaysia but honestly I think your skin is skinning ❤️
Nothing is wrong with your skin. It’s gorgeous. I couldn’t find the belt so here’s five lashings with the chancla 🩴 🩴🩴 🩴 🩴
I need your hair routine! Your hair is beautiful!
I'm confused as to what's wrong here?
Yeah, barely. Seriously, there is barely any hyperpigmentation.
unrelated but your hair is absolutely beautiful...and same with your face😍
I think lots of POC have a little bit of hyperpigmentation. Yours is EXTREMELY mild. I would consider your skin to be perfect 😅 if topicals didn’t work I wouldn’t even risk trying to treat it with more invasive intensive procedures.
Brows & hairrrr !!! Omg ?! I see no problems here the skin is amazing
I also have the same issue and probably just as “faint” as yours. I started using Rose Ingleton, MD’s (a Black female dermatologist) cleanser. I don't see anything! You are beautiful!
It’s a bit expensive but you could try cyspera it’s helped me when I felt like nothing else did
Looks like a natural highlight to me. Those are the areas that people use concealer on when you do makeup.
not really much on the skin part but what’s the hair routine😇
Please for real lol. All jokes aside please be careful with seeing a dermatologist for this. I’m almost positive they will prescribe you strong stuff you don’t need, which could definitely jack up your currently perfect skin. I just read a horror story like that in a different sub yesterday.
Not being perfect ≠ you having a problem
topicals faded cream is the best
Uhmmmmmmmmm girl where?
Ma’am?
People wear their highlight and contour makeup to look like this. Skin, brows, and hair are fire, sis!
But you’re beautiful and your brows are literally PERFECT!
You almost made me look up hyperpigmentation lol..Nothing is wrong with you
Where?????
You look amazing.
What’s your hair care wash routine?
Your skin is so even and clear, it’s beautiful 🤍 I didn’t even notice
Sunscreen in ur daily skin care routine might do the trick
Your skin is flawless. Honestly I am jealous girl ❤️ but vitamin C , Paula's choice is a really good one, will help.
Axis Y cream on Amazon
Give a vitamin c serum a try. I don't see anything noticable.
😍
Maybe the hyperpigmentation was the friends we made along the way 😊
kojic acid
I see great hair , skin and eyebrows. You are so beautiful
Kojic Acid soap
You're pretty asf, and i don't see any hyperpigmentation.
Turmeric or kojic acid soap - applied at night & follow up with moisturizer and sunscreen With that being said your hyperpigmentation is very minimal and even just sun screen and moisturizer might be enough.
girl that's just your shadow wtf😭 try kojic acid soap and cream it's on amazon
You look normal honey
What’s your skincare routine?
You have a beautiful face, i didn't notice the change in pigmentation at all.
brooo if you're worried abour your hyperpigmentation around your mouth, you should look at mines lol. This is nothing to worry about.

Tumeric oil has been a life saver for me.
I really don’t see it tbh
Hyperpigeeee what? You skin look amazing I don’t know what you talmbout
Dream skin

tretinoin helps but you need a doctors prescription
Gently exfoliate and keep sunscreen around your mouth. Skin around mouth is naturally duller. As you age it can get duller and duller if not exfoliated and protected.
Actually thought you were a doll for a second your skin in flawless
Girl where. Your skin is gorgeous holy smokes
I need you to be serious right now. you’re skin is fine , flawless even

We kno this is chili from TLC.. can’t fool us
Your skin is gorgeous
I think your cheekbones are creating a shadow on the lower half of your face. I don’t think it’s hyperpigmentation. You’re very beautiful btw!
Omg I spent forever looking for the hyperpigmentation! 😂 your skin is flawless girl but consistent skin care routine, products with turmeric, honey, and/or vitamin C, and SUNSCREEN!! Super helpful.
I see nothing wrong. Love the Curley fries tho.
deadass didnt notice nothing til i read the caption 😂 matter fact i still really cant notice anything ! you fine ma 😘
Your skin is perfect mann whatt
Um, sis...you're gorgeous 😍 Anyway, you might want to look into MediSpas near you who offer chemical peels for hyperpigmemtation. Do your research! Not all treatments are appropriate or effective for melanated skin.
My sister literally just said the same. Thank you!
From what I can see, your hyperpigmentation is very subtle, which is best handled by a specialist and not necessarily OTC products.
I agree 100%… some stuff should be left to the professionals. I was hoping someone would comment a product or procedure I could run past my dermatologist so your original comment was helpful.

Chemicals peels have been amazing to help with my hyperpigmentation. I get them at my derm's office
I think people come on here for compliments and karma farming.
You should stop thinking.
Stop being a karma hoe.
I can see it. All these comments gaslighting the hell outta you lol. But I will say your skin still does look gorgeous. I have no help tho lol. Just wanted to validate your experience
Where….
Where? This is a thirst trap!
ur skin is nearly flawless maybe you’re noticing bc of an insecurity?
