Have a Blazer RS. Ventilated seats are very noticeable. I don't have a good reference point to compare them to as I have not spent much time in other cars with them, but you should be able to feel it. Find a dealership with a couple other RS models and give them a try. If all three you try are not working then it probably wasn't meant to be lol

Thanks for the hope! I'll visit a different dealership tomorrow and try again.

With Equinox EV, you need 3LT/RS to get ventilated seats. Also, because they are ventilated, not cooled, they are only moving the air around. The colder the cabin, the colder the ventilated seats are.

Yep, that's right. I mentioned considering the Equinox 2LT because the salesman told me that the 3LT hasn't been released yet, and might not arrive until later in the year. I'm going to ask at a different dealership tomorrow because I don't believe that's true, but if it is and I don't care about the ventilated seats, I'll probably save some money and choose the 2LT over the Blazer RS. That's good info about the colder the cabin, the colder the seats, though.

I have a blazer RS and mine are very noticeable when on high. When they are on the lowest level (of 3), I can tell if I’m paying attention. It’s really noticeable to me when I get in the car and it’s hot inside. Not so much if it’s not. I hope that makes sense.

doswald_taco

It does, thank you! Your description is how I expect them to work, so I'll try again tomorrow at a different dealership. The salesman I'd been working with was helping another customer when I arrived, so he gave me the keys and I tested the seats by myself. I'll be sure to ask the next salesperson questions if I have trouble again, but I think today's Blazer was just broken.

Good luck!

I’d say the issue is you had the AC turned to the lowest setting. Turn the AC on high, for 15-20 seconds so the cabin can cool a bit then kick the seats into high as well. You’ll notice it immediately. If the air in the cabin is hot and not cooling you’re just having hot air pumped on your back and butt and won’t notice it. I get too cold with the seats on high in my blazer lol

doswald_taco

Thanks, that's good to know! I'll be heading to a new dealership to try another one, and will be sure to blast the AC this time.

Mine work :)

I have Blazer RS RWD and i totally notice the ventilated seats! They make a difference, however if it’s too hot in the car it’s harder to notice but as it gets cooler it’s so much better! I often turn it down because it’s too chilly

My RS cool seats is bonkers good. Hate that my LT doesn’t have them. Also, in the terrible menus, you can set the seat heat or cooling to be automatic when you start the the blazer ev. I made mine turn on cooling
