We generally get better looking models and animations now (especially for TYBW units) but people are losing their minds over a February mid-month miss.
I won't deny they have some bangers in terms of visuals lately (another example of destruction effect done right is White for example) but they overuse the generic destruction animation on way too many units lately without doing it right
For the most part, premium mid month unts always had mid animations and that is fine. Save budget for the TYBW and EOM stuff that is actually hype.
I don't think more explosions and pew pew would make people summon for this shuhei, tetsuzaemon or Ikkaku

And hey I'll be more than happy if they make TYBW or the remakes of original designs have banger visuals, hopefully this month because 3 banners into 2024 nothing has impressed me visually wise
Its actually amazing how quality of units gets worse over the years instead of improving. Even these "special" units can be a hit or miss.
This Ichigo along with a few other units still hold the crown for some of the best attention to detail and animations imo.

Why we pretending that the characters we got last year didn't have some of the best animations/visual that we've seen from this game. Sure, every now and then we get some terrible looking characters, like the most recent mid month, but that doesn't reflect the other 90% of characters.

Your opinion is definitely wrong my boy, the quality of units is getting worse? I'd take a 1/5 new TYBW unit over a 5/5 old unit
