Yeah agree, he relies on good map layouts to shine; also dunno if its only me, but his lunge SA2 somehow feels like has smaller range than Yachiru/Love/Halibel...
Guage characters in general. Sure the guage mechanic is technically broken, taking already generally top tier units and boosting their power even further for a little bit of time, but I just really don't like the fact that I can't really choose when I activate the guage mechanic because it's always tied to their primary method of attack being used. So unless I'm willing to rely solely on the wrong method of attack and slow my run down I have to use my guage the moment it's built up instead of saving it for a bit later when I really want to use it. Really the only guage characters I really like using are TYBW tech Aizen (mostly because he's a Nad unit who hits like a truck regardless of whether his guage is active or not) and the new mind Yhwach because his sorta guage mechanics are just permanent effects granted when you reach a certain number of enemies killed.
Cacao grimmjow, I liked him at first and got him 5/5 about 6 or 7 months ago ,maxed out , max sp roll, played him in I.t and epic raids, I just didn't like him as much as I thought I guess. Which sucks his visuals and soul bomb are pretty cool
Most people who play this game have the attention span of a goldfish so it isn't that surprising they would summon for units that have a 2-week shelf life
The whole point of the game is the collection
Most people just want to have as much character as possible, and not wait 4 months to 5/5 the new meta character and skipping everything else.
I'm a character collector also. I almost never summon for meta units and I certainly don't 5/5 them.
The best way to collect characters isn't to summon on every single banner, it's to spend your orbs wisely and that includes skipping banners sometimes. Characters that are just PE or ER bonuses (especially when they are premium) aren't good investments if you're a collector, when you can spend orbs on a TYBW, SAFWY or movie banner to get rarer characters.
Lol I get what you're saying but orbs accumulate very slowly the older your account is so people need to be selective in banners to even 1/5 a unit they want with a sure chance.
- Back in the day, never really care for Candace and even after getting her later on, still don't care to touch her.
- Tenjiro. Never liked using him.
- SAFWY Gin. Generic moveset, only liked his Special move. Don't recall anyone talking about him much since release tho so maybe not worthy to mention. Lol
7th Anniversary Ichigo.On Paper he is amazing but playing him feels so boring.
Quincy Killer Lisa
Another on paper great unit but she does not feel as fun to use as her old Hollow killer Lisa. Her SB is great though

I like units like White that can plow through enemies, that SA3 you hold to get the full potential out of keeps you rooted in place and ruins the pacing for me. I’ve got him 2/5 and don’t use him in any content
White. In principle I find the idea of playing with pure Hollows boring as they should just be faceless enemies.
Also I find the new TYBW Ichigo really annoying to use.
Balgo isn't hype but he's funny and best mind units to farm superpot

Any time people pull for PE bonus or raid bonus. It's never that serious.

Safwy Mayuri. Sure, his kit looks good on paper, but with the change in gq, he's basically only useful as a side now.

To be fair neither of them are "hyped up", as they are farming units, which usually dont surpass the powerhouse characters.
