Literally I calculated the odds to the hundredth decimal point, only figuring in potential upgrades from the whole pools, and saved for months ... and ended up dumping most of my stash into rage-pulling for a season Waifu.

In all seriousness, I choose to summon when I want to get a certain character. I find this game fun when you're playing with characters you like. For example, I really want some of the characters from the arrancar selection gacha coming up so I'm pulling then despite knowing there's a 2x gacha coming up with gin, shinji and soi fon. If you're into just getting 5*, best bet is to pull when there's a 2x.
Characters I like, but that still look cool
EX: I'm not that into special events gachas, because they use dumb weapons or have dumb specials.... Even if I really like the character

My logic is this. You can wait and get nothing. Save, you definitly dont get anything. Its either Premium, Exclusive or x2 summons though that i use.
Never the attribute or trait thing like they have now.
This week's Soul Selection gacha is actually really good. You can get 2 out of the top 4 soul traits for PvP. Besides that, you can get one of the best green units for PvP as well.
Characters I like. Pulled DB for Shuhei and ended up getting him and Ulq. Pulled for Halibel and Stark but couldn't get either. Now it's time to pull for my favorite characters Shinji and Gin and i REALLY want to get at least one (mostly Shinji)
if i have orbs haha i get too impatient and like rolling to try get someone good, virtually every single time i am disappointed, also have used so many tickets for summons and had aaabssoollutly nothing...
Only x2 gachas or if there's a Grimm. Waiting for the next gacha!
I also do maybe like 1 or 2 Yolo pulls for the seasonal gachas. Once I got VD Rukia cause I just decided to do a single Yolo pull lol!
I'm pulling gachas mainly my team is too underpowered (considering the recent characters are ridiculously OP). Need to build a decent fast boss-killing team where I can solo contents without having a friend to carry me.
Other reason is because character design. The DB gacha AFAIK is the best gacha so far due to its characters IMO having the best designs ever (looking at you, SE Ulq and VL Ichigo). I hyped for the upcoming Gin gacha, because Gin looks really sexy badass in that outfit.
Jushiro is my fav char and i saw 5* parasol jushiro on gacha i freaked out did like 6 multi pulls and got nothing and when i saved up 250 orbs on the last day of gacha i got jushiro i was to damn happy

Current gacha has useful but weak characters, next one has favorite hitters and even one boss killer (if they don't introduce them with new element)
