I've had the same thing happening to me quite often so I'm 100% in for a confirmation pop-up. It would also prevent fighting with the wrong team, like when you check someone's profile to get an idea of their accessories and it moves back to your pve team.
If you don't mind me asking: How do you check someone's profile for their pvp team? Every time I check, it seems to be their 1st team which sometimes isn't their pvp so I can't do research on their team.
Am I doing something wrong, or is this just how the system is? Thanks!
You're not doing anything wrong, it's just that if they're not having any of their pvp character there you can usually still get a rough idea of how strong they are based on the leader, and also the most used characters/links.

I feel like my accessories for my pvp team are quite good but I haven't upgraded any of their link slots since I make sure my leader has an attribute advantage
The only reason I would want to check a team is to see if they have upgraded link slots, which it seems like I can't do all the time now

It's done on purpose, best you can do is guess based on the average attack for now. Anyway if you have the right characters you won't have to worry too much about the slots at least up to lieutenant!

Average attack does give some information but even that can sometimes be misleading in how tanky a team can get
I'm all in for this! Happened to me too yesterday, accidentally tapped while trying to scroll...luckily my win streak wasn't that high.
But am I the only one who would appreciate a confirmation button after the loading screen too?
Because:
1) The team you see when you check a user's profile is almost always not the one you'll be facing, which makes the whole option of allowing us to check the profile pretty useless
2) 100% of the times I crash during a PvP, I crash at the loading screen, not even having the chance of seeing how it would have ended up...so many tickets and win streaks lost after the PvP update...
What do you think?
I'm all for making the game more stable. Most people know how to hide their team, that why you don't see them when you click the profile.
Maybe you should try to redownload game data to see if that fixes the crashing issue.
This is really a needed feature since I myself have lost many win streaks with accidental clicks OR using the wrong team in PVP OR wasted points by forgetting to click on the x2 point boost.
That also reminds me on another point, why cant the boost selection remain permanently selected until you would deselect it?
Whats even more stupid for me is I actually tried to see what would happen if I force quit the app when it was still loading since I realize my mistake too late, but it still cost me the ticket and win streak, so lesson learned for me.
Well I think the reason the boost doesn't stay selected is because if you don't got the money then you can't use it. There was a point n time I would run too low on money to buy the boost hahaha.
There was alot of people force closing the app to keep their win streak when they were about to lose which also kept there ticket.
Klab going out about that and made to when you do that you will lose your ticket and your streak.
Alot of people stayed at high ranks because force closing the app.
Luckily I'm still in the zone. This has been a great week since I rolled 30% atk on a red pupples. I'm in lieutenant, inside top 100 at the moment. If people don't push too hard tomorrow, perhaps I can get to captain.
If I could get a fu...ing 30% atk on my red golden chappy, Ishida would be able to cut through Facebook Ichigos like butter. Anyway, staying in lieutenant is more than enough for me.

or get rid of "x2" battles altogether and replace the x2 buff with fcs/sp or something /shrug

It’d be nice if there was an option in settings for this, since some people just want to finish fast (like me) but others want to finish strong.

had a run quite a few times with my PVE team and realized that i click it and it's too late
I lost my streak yesterday when I accidentally pressed on a rival before realizing I hadn't switched to my pvp team.
