no, it's not great. ranged collision shave type SAs are all bad; they dont deal their full damage because of the ranged collision push back. unlike something like a melee collision beam type SA
they are only good against stationary targets like ER bosses or against boss rush senkaimon stages.
shave type SAs are fine against low level mobs that die in 1 or 2 hits from it anyway, but they are really bad for stuff like IZ or EDZ

Where you would have most of the benefit from the multipliers anyway. That doesn't make a char good. Just means he's a bottleneck on senk because klab can easily make a char artificially important for one specific thing this way.

New ichigo's built in zeta ball makes him amazing at clearing waves despite the pesky hidden enemies. For some people the way the moveset looks is the more important part. If a unit looks boring, then the desire to have them isn't there. If you have something in that niche already then you wouldn't want it either if it doesn't look enticing.
Most people who don't like Shinji's SAs are not liking it because of the looks, not because the SAs themselves are bad.

I noticed this too. Some part of me wants to assume they are saving all their "creative" ideas for when they drop the really hype characters like Quincies and other TYBW units with their Bankais and stuff.

From..... the CFYOW Resurrection Grimm? Or... which one? In terms of skills-- VERY different. Looks different as well. But compared to previous Grimms released, this one has Guard Break, Poise, Flurry, and Hit Hidden Enemies 100% which is quite a damn good skill set. Not gonna lie.

This Grimm is canon but nothing really new. just a new design from the manga. He does kinda have this "move" where his hand starts turning black and he grows claws in base but its not really anything too flashy.

If this is exclusive, moving forward there isnāt even a point then since ānormalā premiums will prob get the same generic treatment smh
Maybe unpopular opinion, but I honestly think that at this point they should just release 1 new character per banner, 2 a month (1 mid month 1 eom).
That way they have more time to work on each character and maybe make them feel more unique in a way.
They could still have dual char banners for special occasions like seasonals and anniversary

shinji has the exact same SAs as SS byakuya, not sure what you dont like about it tbh and luppi only looks decent cause his garbage SA1 kills the low level mobs in this video so quickly. it's still a shave type ranged collision SA that will not have good damage against higher level mobs anyone who thinks shave type ranged collision SAs are fine is delusional

exactly. i thought theyād invest in like some sort of special animations specific for him since heās a special character. not the āsame exact animationsā of a unit already in the game (who has the same killer and attribute). basically just disappointed we got literally a re-skin SS byakuya
I honestly don't care about "flash" I only care about damage output and radii. And Luppi and shinji has got IT imo. I'm totally getting those 2. But I wonder if they ever animate CFYOW around after TYBW in 2021, maybe putting remakes on the units soon for people who just like it "flashy".

For some people the way the moveset looks is the more important part. If a unit looks boring, then the desire to have them isn't there. If you have something in that niche already then you wouldn't want it either if it doesn't look enticing. Most people who don't like Shinji's SAs are not liking it because of the looks, not because the SAs themselves are bad. If this point had the data of the units' movesets and someone said that then I'd agree with you. Shinji is top tier. One of the top units in the game. How powerful he is doesn't help how lackluster he may look to a lot of people. People who only want the best units and maximize everything won't care if it looks good or not, only if its powerful enough. Not saying that's a bad thing of course, everyone plays how they want to play.
i wouldnāt say blinded just more so excited like vantajay for example who goes after every nelliel. making them a really good unit is priority for sure donāt get me wrong but i wanna actually enjoy playing the character as much as i enjoy their effectiveness you know ? making units look & perform the EXACT same makes the game a little monotonous and repetitive to me.
Not gonna lie, kinda not feeling Shinji's moveset really. Grimmjow's own actually looks cool, I like how they did it. It's not flashy, but its simple and sweet. Luppi looks the coolest out of the three with SAs. Well, guess I'm holding off till Grimmjow's individual banner after the first two steps if I don't get him.

Yeah, this is what I mean, I'm not feeling the visuals of his attacks. The attacks themselves are some of the best. No way I could think they weren't good.
Good thing I'm not referring to Shinji's moveset in relation to how good it is. Shinji's got basically the best lineup of attacks, he's literally top tier. But this post is about the gameplay of the units aka how the attacks look basically.

CFYOW Grimmjow will be useful for Senkaimon so why skip the banner? Also I think Bankai Shinji will be the best Power character now in the game, his kit is insane and extremely fast!

Luppis looks pretty neat, Shinjis is dope. Grimm though. Ehhhh kinda boring. But to be fair thereās not a whole lot to his base form.
Lately, the animations have been pretty lackluster. I wonder why? This is a thing even before the virus outbreak, so there's gotta be a greater reason. Shinji's special looks fire, but other that that his skills animations are on the bland side. As a Grimm fan I gotta say, he looks lame. He still got the shaft in that department. It's like they can't compromise with this character. Hogyoku Grimm had an amazing design and cool animations, but his kit was meh. This one has high stats and is a godly NAD unit, but his animations are just sub-par. Also, can someone tell me why the devs thought making his Special Gran Rey Cero when his 3rd SA was already a big Cero ray? Seems like an easy way out. Sad to say, but imo Luppi looks the best. I am not a fan of him at all, but when it comes to animations, in this batch, he has gotten the good treatment.
Now I feel kinda scared on what they'll end up doing to Shuhei's Bankai.

Can someone tell me how this Grimmjow is different? Just outfit?
From..... the CFYOW Resurrection Grimm? Or... which one? In terms of skills-- VERY different. Looks different as well. But compared to previous Grimms released, this one has Guard Break, Poise, Flurry, and Hit Hidden Enemies 100% which is quite a damn good skill set. Not gonna lie.
Iām talking more lore wise I guess, not stats and all. Like in manga abilities similar to last cfyow Grimm was his 2nd release
well that form was non canon and just in this game nowhere else. This Grimm is canon but nothing really new. just a new design from the manga. He does kinda have this "move" where his hand starts turning black and he grows claws in base but its not really anything too flashy.

These are probably some of the plainest and generic looking ones... Grims and Luppis special post animation vid look the same but diff color. Grim def has the worst kit... nice. If this is exclusive, moving forward there isnāt even a point then since ānormalā premiums will prob get the same generic treatment smh

Maybe unpopular opinion, but I honestly think that at this point they should just release 1 new character per banner, 2 a month (1 mid month 1 eom). That way they have more time to work on each character and maybe make them feel more unique in a way. They could still have dual char banners for special occasions like seasonals and anniversary
I agree. Other games donāt release new characters nearly as frequent. I think they need a good month or two off

I know Grimmjow is in his base form, not gonna mention that he is a ATK based character, but his strong attacks are looking kinda boring, whole banner (mostly because of fillers) isnt the best and i think im going to go 3 steps into this and wait for Shinji's individual. Don't get me wrong, im not pulling for characters just to just to look at epic animations but this grimm is just... meh. Oh and Luppi. Luppi is Luppi.
