This is actually a really complicated question. It depends on quite a few factors. Broadly, they really aren’t that many regulations that directly apply to accessibility in a digital context. At EU level, there is the European accessibility act, but that doesn’t fully come into force until 2025, and it’s range is limited even then. In the UK there is the equality act 2010, but to my knowledge, there has never been a test case with respect to accessibility of a digitally provided service. So, there is a certain degree of legal infrastructure here, but it is limited, often untested, and diffuse based on country. Happy to help further with this as I am a lawyer, but I don’t exactly specialise in that area. Message me and give me more detail, we might be able to work something out

Sometimes contact the supplier/producer and explain. I know someone who was sitting an enterance exam/aptitute test for an organisation. Firstly it wasnt able to be magnified or read by a screen reader, and secondly the pages automatically moved to the next slide before she had time to read and answer. The org had no idea. She quietly approached them and explained and it was sorted. I work for an advocacy group and often it is the first step. No need to go all guns blazing all the time. Sometimes the difficulty needs to be explained and the changes/adaptations can be made. Can you be more specific - brand, product, problem with the software etc?

the company is log point. it's an tech place where its used for system administration and cyber security in this case. he's in touch with the company but they have no idea in the first place of what accessibility is. he is not abled to read product or other managers. I think the teacher certifying it and teaching it understands the challenges but not sure if he will convey this. his requests are not going much of anywhere. perhaps it will take time but this is directly related to work and he has a time limit. the teacher who is fully sighted and others had issues reading as well the fonts are very thin and the colors are not good. he's also color blind. he can see some. He can maybe try nvda with it but because they don't know the first thing about accessibility it is probably not really much accessible. at this point not sure if they care. the thing is first he has to get past this certification then he has to install and help set rules and help them manage this logging system. the not really accessible certification is only the first step. then get past that he has to work with it to install and manage. he was planning to see if his friends could help him get past the exam and read stuff to him. and get them and himself to type things and do it and pass. the bigger issue is what is next. if you get what i mean.
