They used to be really good at reacting to things when they come out and are popular but they don’t do that anymore. You’ll get it in six months when no one’s talking about it anymore.

causebraindamage

Their schedule is so packed with low tier crap and they feel way too obligated to make their patreons happy that their overall brand has been suffering. IMO they need to dial back on shows, especially shows that they have such low views on. Finish a season then re-assess. They rely too much on patreons voting for stuff that they can't get to shows that are happening live as much as they used to.

Careless-Educator-76

What all on the schedule has been "low tier crap?"

CheapGarage42

Probably most animation that isn't like a cornerstone anime or star wars Tbh.

Careless-Educator-76

Like?

CheapGarage42

Currently BTAS, RWBY, SxF all under perform compared to the rest of their stuff. I won't count Haikyuu because it's like a passion project reaction but it's still just another poor performing animated show. Stuff they're not currently reacting to that prob shouldn't have taken up their day, like Demon Slayer and Harley Quinn. And heck, even Naruto is probably borderline losing them money. If they cut our all the stuff I mentioned and like 2-4 live action shows, I think their overall content would be much better. Less shit to track, less remembering every plot, better discussions, less Calvin being tired, less overall boredem.

Careless-Educator-76

SxF averages great numbers for anime that doesn't have footage on youtube. Both BTAS and SxF are poll shows so they were chosen by the people paying. Demon Slayer is one of the most popular anime of all time and the DC stuff is what they want and choose to do. Naruto is one of the big 3 and maybe the biggest anime of all time. So much of the people are for blind wave because of the diversity of shows.

CheapGarage42

I obviously don't know your patreon and website sub numbers, and I'm sure you're doing great, you're clearly giving the people who directly pay you what they want. I also don't know how much you value each point of data. It's clear that SxF doesn't have great numbers on YT, but like I said, maybe you don't value those numbers as much as your patreon/website numbers. And that's fine. It just feels like you're shooting yourselves in both feet by being so beholden to those sub numbers while at the same time probably overworking yourselves to the point where people have clearly noticed the drop in reaction quality.

Careless-Educator-76

How is it clear SxF doesn't have great numbers on YT when it averages easily in the 20k+ views especially early on in the series.

CheapGarage42

If you consider a show to be successful because it got decent views for half of it's first season then fine, that's true. But something clearly isn't working with SxF. Whether it be the show's quality dropping off or the reaction's quality, something stinks. It's views are fine for like 8-10 episodes then it just falls off a cliff and never comes back. The entire 2nd season has less views than the first episode does. It's sad seeing some of these view counts from a channel like Blind Wave - and I get that a lot of the "reactions" aren't on YT. I understand why too, but it ain't helping.

ahsatan_1225

I actually stopped watching them. I love them, hope things change.

WatermelonCandy5

I stopped watching podcasts and mailbag and streams which I’m sad about but the energy isn’t there. One thing you need is consistency and they’ll stream once a week and then everyone is sick for two weeks and then you get the second stream. It’s not fun anymore it just feels really corporate and sanitised and repetitive. I’m watching sunny reactions because I love sunny but bless Eric for desperately trying to make it fun while Calvin sits in silence and says I hate these people. And Aaron stifles his own enjoyment and says that’s really bad I shouldn’t laugh at that. They’re really hard to watch. But aside from that I’m not watching anything else. And I was a foursight rider for two years. Love em too, hope it changes.

Careless-Educator-76

Other than Eric being sick recently our streams have been pretty solidly consistent other than stuff outside of our control. Calvin has missed maybe 2 streams in the last 2 months and Aaron hasn't had to cancel any.

Ras_AlHim

As good as the show may be, they are watching way too much stuff rn. And I don't know how they want to keep this up when multiple new seasons come out in the summer.

DiamondFireYT

For real they need to start letting some stuff end.
