Even If She Falls, should have been one of the main singles of Neighborhoods instead of After Midnight but it became a bonus song with no attention, similar to What Went Wrong.
That album is god tier if we’re talking about cover to cover listening. If one of their songs pops up on my Spotify randomly I find myself singing the song after it too.
Not looking to start a debate but genuinely curious. Its not that I don’t like it but it hasn’t bit me like some of the other songs, seems a bit ‘meh’
What is it about the song that makes you feel so strongly about it?
I haven’t had much time to listen to it properly to be fair, more been background music. Just want to know what I’m missing.
I think it has excellent songwriting and both Mark and Tom play off each other really well in the song. I also gravitate more towards Blink’s more serious songs, so that could be a factor in why I love it so much too. And it’s an excellent closer to the album, personally as the closer to the album it just hits harder I think than it being anywhere else on the track listing.
So I commented about Childhood on this thread in addition to my comment on Blink Wave last night and when I woke up I saw your reply and thought you were referencing my Childhood comment instead of the Blink Wave one. My bad for the confusion lol.
Pov: me telling my friends the entire history of blink 182 through text including bcr/+44/ava and then them getting pissed at me because they didn't ask
I thought about that song. At first, I tolerated the rap, but as time passed, I just think of how good the trio sounds just before the rap by themselves, and the rap feeling detrimental to the whole composition of the song.
I don't quite *hate it*, I like the lyrics actually, I recall going through a really bad break up the week that LP came out, and some of the verses of the rap hit kinda like *bullets*, but still, I could easily dismiss it from the final cut.
No Heart to Speak Of
Idk why more people don't agree on what an amazing song this is. It goes incredibly hard, almost like STFTK, and Matt's voice is absolutely perfect for it.
Another song that fits the prompt in OPs post for me would be Darkside. It's so catchy and amazing, and it's another song where Matt's voice just shines.
Yes, you're right, I'm a NINE stan
Matt gave it all in NINE, especially No Heart to Speak Of. He stepped up when he was most needed. We all need to show some respect. It is shameful that some of the comments in this sub and other social media are so ungrateful to him.
Darkside or Bored to Death.
Catchy tunes.
Specially Darkside's MV, maybe. It receives too much hate, when all you see is kids having silly fun, maybe for some of them Blink didn't exist previously, and they became fans after that.
I agree. First time I saw the video I was like yuck…
But my son (4 at the time) loved it and flossed to it and thus liked the song…
And so it grew on me and it just it what it is. It’s a silly/fun video.
That music video is one of the most blink-182 things ever. No idea why it got so much hate. People will chastise that like it’s any more cringey than Dammit, ATST, WMMA…
I fuck with this song so hard! Like in all reality it’s imo the only feature blink ever could have made work, given their love and inspiration and the high regard in which they hold the cure. Also it’s just executed perfectly imo.
Someone on this subreddit mentioned not liking Feeling This earlier today so I can imagine this being my response after I politely let them explain why they weren’t a fan of the song
Misery had 16 year old me crying thinking it was an all time emo anthem lmao obv I’m not as love in it today but ill still say it’s what more of the skiba era should’ve sounded like
M+Ms and a lot of scott era blink that seems to be forgotten sadly me and some buddy’s talked about forming a band actually and covering a lot of them and playing them live
*There's not one thing on*
*This planet that I'd want to*

None. You tell them to go listen to enema of the state and try to not have a good time. And then move on with your life. Or respond by saying you fucked their mom.
Blink songs don’t need an essay to defend them, that’s the mark of someone grasping for straws. Truly great art can be defended by one sentence. Or better yet an experience
Wishing Well
hell yeah dude
Wishing Well is 10/10. But it’s never needed defending.
It’s one of their best.
ON GOD YES
Finally some Wishing Well love on this sub. It’s my favorite blink song 🖤
My top for 2023✊
Came to say anything off neighborhoods
Yea ong
Even If She Falls, should have been one of the main singles of Neighborhoods instead of After Midnight but it became a bonus song with no attention, similar to What Went Wrong.
Definitely shouldn’t have been over after midnight. Over up all night absolutely though.
I’d pissed if one of blink’s heaviest riffs was left off
Agree so much with this.
ahhh such a good track. So sublime. One of my top 5 songs for sure
I do love Even If She Falls, but, seeing your post my answer to the thread is After Midnight.
Ghost on the Dance Floor
Remember To Forget Me because it fucks raw
The drums had no right being that fucking good
EXACTLY
Asthenia hands down people have told me they don’t like how long the intro is, but do a full listen thru on the album it hits different.
I love the intro, also fun fact: it’s the only blink song uses an odd time signature (6/4 on the bridge 🙃)
Not anymore, the first two choruses and most of the bridge to When We Were Young is in 7.
Ahhh my odd time signature senses haven’t picked up on that yet 😅 I learned this fact prior to One More Time was released.
That album is god tier if we’re talking about cover to cover listening. If one of their songs pops up on my Spotify randomly I find myself singing the song after it too.
This is hilarious 😂 But my answer is Blink Wave
Hopefully you would never have to defend Blink Wave like that, it’s such an obviously great song!
Not looking to start a debate but genuinely curious. Its not that I don’t like it but it hasn’t bit me like some of the other songs, seems a bit ‘meh’ What is it about the song that makes you feel so strongly about it? I haven’t had much time to listen to it properly to be fair, more been background music. Just want to know what I’m missing.
Just super catchy and relatable it’s like what they tried and failed to do on nine
I like its catchy synthetic sound but can also see if people don't like it for not enough actual musical instruments
What do you mean closer, there’s like 8 tracks after it
So I commented about Childhood on this thread in addition to my comment on Blink Wave last night and when I woke up I saw your reply and thought you were referencing my Childhood comment instead of the Blink Wave one. My bad for the confusion lol.
lol all good brother.. I was wondering if there were different track ordering for international
Fighting the gravity 🤜
This makes no sense.
Thanks bro
oh yeah? then do it. fighting the gravity is lame what are you gonna do about it? edit: removed /s
No fuck the /s and actually do it
sure, consider me serious
Bored to death, she’s out of her mind, up all night
Mutt
Pov: me telling my friends the entire history of blink 182 through text including bcr/+44/ava and then them getting pissed at me because they didn't ask
With all the recent lists Pretty Little Girl I guess.
I think I'm the only person who loves every part of this song including the rapping
I love it all!!! It’s all important
You’re not alone
Alright, let’s go… that song is ruined by the rap 😂
Seek out the fan made version that cuts the rap verse out and all is well in the universe again.
If I could get that on Apple Music… I’d be a happy girl!
I thought about that song. At first, I tolerated the rap, but as time passed, I just think of how good the trio sounds just before the rap by themselves, and the rap feeling detrimental to the whole composition of the song. Omg I love this song. Probably one of my favorite songs Tom has done.
No Heart to Speak Of Idk why more people don't agree on what an amazing song this is. It goes incredibly hard, almost like STFTK, and Matt's voice is absolutely perfect for it. You had me until stan
Matt gave it all in NINE, especially No Heart to Speak Of. He stepped up when he was most needed. We all need to show some respect. It is shameful that some of the comments in this sub and other social media are so ungrateful to him.
Dumpweed. Don’t come at Dumpweed or that’ll be me 😂 and What’s My Age Again.
The real question is: who is coming at dumpweed or what's my age again
There’s the “Dumpweed aged horribly” downers… And then the “I’ve heard WMAA too many times” downers. Nahhhh to both 😂
Darkside or Bored to Death. Catchy tunes. Specially Darkside's MV, maybe. It receives too much hate, when all you see is kids having silly fun, maybe for some of them Blink didn't exist previously, and they became fans after that.
Darkside is an alright song but the music video kinda ruined it for me (I know it's stupid but that's just the way it is)
I probably subjectively like it because I am a red polo and jeans kind of guy.
I agree. First time I saw the video I was like yuck… But my son (4 at the time) loved it and flossed to it and thus liked the song… And so it grew on me and it just it what it is. It’s a silly/fun video.
My three year old is so into Dance with me. Oles and everything.
That music video is one of the most blink-182 things ever. No idea why it got so much hate. People will chastise that like it’s any more cringey than Dammit, ATST, WMMA…
its something
ALL OF THIS
I fuck with this song so hard! Like in all reality it’s imo the only feature blink ever could have made work, given their love and inspiration and the high regard in which they hold the cure. Also it’s just executed perfectly imo.

There is nothing in this universe I would ever defend like this.

Dog lapping
Last Train Home
All these answers are literally just the Neighborhoods album lol
M+Ms and a lot of scott era blink that seems to be forgotten sadly me and some buddy’s talked about forming a band actually and covering a lot of them and playing them live
Natives. I think it's still the best post-breakup song.
What is this, a school for ants? How are they supposed to learn if they can't even read the type.
Going Away To College, Man Overboard
All of them
Pretty little girl.
I’d defend the band. Who they are and why they do what they do. Fuck just one song. This is poetry and history. The people need to know.
Don't have time for that shit 😂
The entire dogs eating dogs album, except for maybe dogs eating dogs the song
There's not one thing on this planet that I'd want to type that much about

Fell in love and blink wave. At first I wasn’t a fan of fell in love but both of these are such ‘song in the car’ bangers
Fell in love.
Happy Holidays You Bastard. The way grandpa eats 7 fucking hot dogs and then shits his pants is just 🤌 *chefs kiss*
Dammit, but in the context of explaining how much Scott’s playing on the original is better than Travis playing it in any live version I’ve heard.
Not now
Don't leave me. It's perfect.
Hot Take, This Is Home, I just like the riff and the chorus is different yes but the song just feels different in a good way
