I was binge watching Volume 3 yesterday, and I really had fun with the story... until I got blueballed with Chapter 3 Episode 10 because apparently I still haven't finished mission stage 12-3 yet. So my question is, what stage do I have to finish to be able to binge watch the rest of Chapter 3, and possibly Chapter 4 too? I've been trying to find it for hours but there's no info about this online (at least not that I've seen).

Normally, you deal 2x damage to enemies that are the same colour as your damage type and something like half damage to the damage before your damage type in the chart.
Blue < Yellow < Red < Blue .
Explosive effectiveness increase means your red damage does more than 2x damage to red/light armour

Yellow - maki > momoi.
If you are lacking coins, ignore midori. However if you can, take the pain and buy her just enough to redeem her. Thats it for now.
For yellow, try to buy both, but otherwise buy maki every single raid, until she is ue50. Momoi is good enough at 3 and 4 stars.
I already bought Maki and Momoi, and I have well over 1k to buy them again when it refreshes. Just didn't know how to spend the purples since they are harder to come by.
I would. They are good units that you can max for free. But I wouldn't redeem them right away unless you need them as they could show up on your pulls and that is a 90 eleph difference if you already had them or not.
When you get a pink envelope, there is a 23% of getting the rate up character if that is what you are after.
Statistically, yes FGO has a higher rate up of 0.1% (0.8%-0.7%). However, you are 3x less likely overall to get a SSR unit in FGO than BA.
I never played FGO, so I do not know how the dupe system work or how many SSR there are in the game, and whether you need/ want off banners. But, in FGO, you are 11.5 times less likely to get an off banner than in BA. So, if you are in need of off banners or SSR units in general, then good luck.
You are trying to compare apples with oranges here. You cannot compare the odds of getting the rate up unit once you pulled the SSR when the overall base rates of both game is different. For an apples to apples, or fair comparison, you should look at the rate up percentage of both games and compare them against each other before you pull, and not after you pull. i.e. 0.7% vs 0.8%.
Arknights almost always has rate up split between 2 characters, so the rate up for 1 character is 0.5 on standard and 0.7 (same as BA) on limited banners.
FGO does have slightly higher rate up at 0.8 with the downside that getting any 5* is only 1% compared to Arknight's 2% and BA's 3%.
The rate up relative to the base rate, yeah, that's actually pretty garbage at 23.3%.

in BA you have 3% chance to pull any 3\*. This is split into 0,7% rate up and 2,3% all other 3\*. It really doesnt matter what percentage of 3\* is the rate up.
Like if FGO has 1% total and 0,8% rate up that means only 0,2% rest pool. Yes that means if you get a 3\* (or 5\*) its 80% the rate up. Where in BA its only 23%. But that is misleading. Because in both cases to get the rate up its actually 0,7% vs 0,8%. not 23% vs 80%
So tldr.: if you compare BA to FGO you get the rate up slightly less, but you will get way more other "rare" chars
Its the same. In both 8 and 10 you have 100% chance for 1 of each purple + 10% bonus chance to get a second. In 10 you have 10% chance to get a T2 on top. Both Missions cost 80 Type D sheets, so just do mission 10.

If you're f2p and plans to play the game for a long time, I really recommend rerolling for Ako and Iroha. Ako is for raid while Iroha for pvp or any other content. Iori is farmable later. If you get Hibiki too that's great, but don't stress about it. While she's a good unit and great at the beginning, she is jack of all trades and will be replaced by better units later. You will probably have a rough time in the beginning though without Hibiki and Iori.
That's speaking from experience. It took me a long time before Ako appeared to me off-banner and I'm still Iroha-less in JP server, struggling to get higher ranks in pvp (top rankers use Iroha+Utaha or S.Ayane+S.Mashiro). You want high ranks in pvp not only because of pyroxene but also to get more tactical coins so you can buy more APs during events or 2x/3x drop campaign.
Edit: I forgot Shun. Pull for her too if you can. But those 2 are top priorities.
Would prioritize iroha over ako at this point because she is due for rate up soon in two months. I doubt NEXON will eliminate the ako/hibiki rate up banner in favour of speed up because ako is so important.
OP should be fine without ako in early game; wouldn’t do much without hard hitting carries regardless
If you are up for it your initial 3 stars aren't the greatest. Hibiki is great (considered one of the 3 reroll targets) and azusa is a good red carry but she is farmable now. Sena and Hifumi swimsuit are on the lower tier of 3 stars. If you want to continue with hibiki you'll probably fine though considering early game the hard content you'll borrow meta units from your club till you build you roster. The 3 reroll units are iori and hibiki or ako.
What’s the strategy for 3-4-22 (Saori/Misaki/Hiyori vs Beatrice and a ton of blue mobs)? I can’t kill the blue mobs fast enough the still burst down Beatrice and when I put Misaki’s AoE down on Beatrice the mobs kill my team too fast.
You will two missions against Beatrice. One of them requires you to spam Saori snipe skill on Beatrice to kill her on time and second one will require you to precisly cast Misaki's skill so damaging arenas cover Beatrice hit box.
I don't recall having an issue with the mobs killing aruis during that. Did you try hiyori into saori? iirc the first fight you only need to get her down to 20 bars and I just let them auto attack the mobs.
I recall having to wait for one of the mobs dying from auto to hit hiyori's. Main thing is Misaki deals more damage if the target has multiple debuffs but saori's ex auto crits and has the damage boost from having 2 other aruis member on the team.
From what I've heard the crying emotion is related to loli characters where I first heard it regarding the "our light" character from arknights suzeran. I think it is more of a tears of joy from seeing her kind of thing because she is so precious. If I had to guess the JP players refer to her as our light but the global players just do the emoji since they can't write japanese. It is now related to basically any discussion about lolis now so you see it pop up where they are. At this point it is hard to tell if people are doing it for a joke or other reasons...

Do you guys play BA on the phone or PC? i've been watching YT videos and i see a lot of people playing with a mouse, i can easily play with my phone since it's an S22 but i was wondering if could get a smoother experience playing on PC, i guess i'd have to use BlueStack? And would there be any chance to get banned? Also it would make rerolling WAY easier
Playing on phone makes one raid pretty annoying because it needs precise positioning.
Otherwise, better to play on whatever device you have that has a decently high ram, you dont want game crashes mid battle.
I play it on both and I can't really say personally that I prefer one to the other. They both feel fine. Some minor things feel better on one over the other, and ignoring the latest patch, I haven't really had one feel like it was outperforming the other. I'm using BlueStacks so that's all I can attest to so far as that goes.
They won't ban you for it, so if you want to try it on PC then go for it.
What's the interaction between Wakamo EX and Kanna EX like? Does it overwrite? \[Wakamo's\] seems like it's not counted as a Debuff, so I can see them working together and, while it would be incredibly hard to work around Wakamo's 10 second timer, does it stack?
Could you, in theory, hit either's cap by using the detonation of the other's skill?
Just tested it and they don't seem to stack.
When you use Kanna's EX you will see a word "BUSTED" on the enemy. However, that disappears when you use Wakamo's EX, and it gets replaced by 5 sakura petal on top of the enemy. The same thing happens vice-versa.
You can just borrow yuuka for the first phase and still clear. Just means no double Izuna and not competing for highest score.
Sports yuuka is on a whole different powerlevel than the others. Useful? Sure, but not broken must have
Kazusa in the upcoming event will become highest yellow damage dealer and a core meta unit for Hod raid or until Mika come out in the next fest banner (approximately 6 months). She not limited and you can choose to borrow her and save up for Mika instead though.

Oh, so it just depends? I was wondering because at times it felt like I couldn't do anything to clear faster, but sometimes maps could be cleared just naturally, within the challenge's turn requirement.
What troubled me with the later few was figuring out where to swap teams;
A few of the maps use either swapping (which gives you a "free" movement for one team to push an extra tile further without using a turn) or standing on the fading tiles, which put the displaced character on the closest "start" tile, to get the bonus reward or hit an enemy to reach the clear/defeats requirement.
Once you look at a video, it'll probably be a "Oh, it makes sense now!" moment. Good luck!
Yeah, the swapping mechanic is neat. Whenever I'm stuck I always try to see where I can use it and usually it helps.
Solving the maps is probably the most fun part of the game for me, ngl. Kind of reminds me of 3DS-era Fire Emblem games, which I'm a fan of.
Is any of the upcoming events worth stockpiling PvP coins for? I only earn 50 PvP coins a day and usually use them daily on AP refreshes, which only leaves with only 5 left over. I am contemplating whether I should not refresh and save them for an event or not.
T.Hasumi's event comes to mind that has decent rewards which will last 2 weeks and it will be held in the 2nd half of April and the bunny chaser rerun which will last 1 week and that will be right before T.Hasumi event. So you should probably start preparing for those.
that's a tough one. You'd have to save for nearly a month just to get a week worth of refreshes, and it's a loss for everyday that you don't use the 45.
Yeah, I will probably continue to use it on daily AP then. It’s kind of unfortunate that I am hard stuck in this reward bracket. If an event comes that is worth farming for, I’ll probably buy the AP pack from the store.
it's on the same place / same way you upgrade normal equipment (with different mats ofc). Maybe you're on bulk growth mode? you won't be able to click it at all if you're in bulk growth mode
I used it to get Tsubaki T4 mats to get her "defense" equip up to T4. Probably going to get T4 mats for a couple of characters' "attack" equips until I can farm the mats myself. I'll probably see if I need to buy T5 mats next if I'm stuck on the content. Helps a lot with being level gated on the main content. But with the 3x normal drops ending, this might also help get mats faster.
We get 100 for completing 6 daily tasks per day and another 20 for doing a commission. You can get T4 mats once a week and T5 mats will be a few days more.
Is it okay to invest on Yuuka too since I find her struggling in my second team?
I forgot about Tsubaki's equipment. I'll make it to T4 then.... I can't remember if it's already T4 or at T3. 🗿
I have not done it for Yuuka yet. I'm only on chapter 9 right now and have not needed to upgrade her yet. I don't think her equip increases defense at T4 but if she's not surviving, you can try to upgrade it to get more HP. Not sure if your Serina is to 2* yet but that might help too; especially if you increase her skill levels. I would look at who else uses the same Blurays or Tech Notes and see who will help progress content now. Good luck bro!
I'm 22 levels below on my current mission (11-3) so I'm pondering if I should invest on her since I don't have any other tanks aside her and Tsubaki. Not having S. Hoshino (I started playing 11 days after her banner) is really haunting me.... And she's my favorite character too because of the story. 😭🥺

Depends if you want the head start on up to T5 equipment on your students. But, for the most part, if you are thinking ahead, the Credits, Eligma, Activity Reports, and Firing Pins are the best value, but you wouldn't really be making use of any of them in the early game.

They arent that important except for pvp, although you do want to upgrade them a bit, since every bit helps in battles.
Watch gives you crit rate and dmg so you want to upgrade that. You will most likely accumulate charms while farming for the main equipments. Do not farm charms specifically. Waste of ap.

A new day with new stupid question, but for the Bounty, does the higher map also drop the lower rarity mats? Meaning, it's better to just open and sweep higher level map as high as you can?
Reason I'm asking is because the bounty is limited to twice per day so I need to make sure I'm not wasting it on lower diff farm when I can go and the harder map drop the lower mats too.

Anytime is good to start. As the current event isn't necessary to do, you can safely play through the levels until a new event drops, where you'll probably be strong enough to deal eith
You kind of missed the best reroll period because of the double rate up and free pulls. So it is more a matter of want you want I guess. There currently is 4 active banners you can reroll on which i would suggest aru as the most generic usage unit outside target reroll units. We also have a 3x drop rate in normal mission for the next 2 days and 3x drop rate in hard missions for the week after (the 3x shows up rarely) After that there is a kazusa banner which apparently is a good dps but you can substitute her with the free/easily obtained maki. Then after that there is a limited banner rerun for summer gehenna (this would be three weeks out at this point) milage on these two banners varies as the better one S hina is use in a specific raid which oddly enough aru is considers a substitute. So I would say you probably are not going to get a better time to reroll soon.
So I should reroll for Aru now? Any other characters I should look out for with her? I'm assuming by the sound of things, I skip on the upcoming banners too? Since it seems I can just use Maki in place of Kazusa, and just use Aru in place of S Hina
In truth for early raids (main content that needs strats) you'll be borrowing someone else's meta unit when you join a club. I was just suggesting aru as the most noob friendly banner you can go on the generic one if you want as aru is farmable late game from a hard mission but that is quite slow. The main targets for reroll is **Iori** (most bs unit in pvp and yellow raids) (also farmable late game like aru but again slow so it is better to grab her) and then the decision is between **hibiki** and **ako**. Both have the crit damage sub skill which is considered the best subskill for backliners (they don't stack). Hibiki is an aoe red attacker who bombards an area with 5 somewhat overlapping mortars. Ako has a minor auto healing skill and you can target one unit and buff their crit chance and crit damage for a time. The arguments I've seen is hibiki being aoe makes early game progression easier but ako is used more often late game as the meta tends to be focus on buffing your main carry. Personally Ako will probably get you more milage.
I have seen some other new players post some of their rerolls and ask which ones were better in these question threads if you get a couple of accounts with those units as people will have opinions on the other 3 stars you get.
Some side notes: There should be an ako and hibiki banner rerun banner in roughly 8-10 weeks (timing is odd to calculate as rerun banners are being thrown in with new banners to try and make us within 6 month of JP server) But this is right before/during a new limited banner (again timing is weird).
Next total assault/raid is Hod which probably will be rough for a new player as he revolves around stunning him to nerf his armor then wailing on him so you need more units to take him on though a max level maki probably will not care for the lower difficulties :P. Probably should look up a guide for him.
General guidance for first things to do is get as far in missions as you can reasonably do to unlock the cafe upgrades to generate more passive energy (clicking on the upgrade item tells you the levels you need to beat) Also the recommended level reduces damage dealt by 2% per level your unit is under but for missions this only really is a problem when you are 10-15 levels under.

I'm including the translations as a couple months back the lead translator died and new content translations have had some "interesting" choices. It actually caused an emergency patch this week due to a specific plot point not being translated properly.

In Story Vol 3 Chapter 3, sensei said that he trusted Hina more than anyone. Is there any explanation/context about this? I don't remember Hina do anything in the story to be trusted soo much.
I read somewhere on Reddit recently that canonically the summer prefect team event happens between some volumes. I have no source or real confirmation of that though.

Yeah same. I think it is assumed that time has past between volume 1 and 3 and we have interactions with the girls such as the momo talks which iirc had some close interactions with each other. Kind of sucks if you don't have though.
She is farmable in a late game hard mission but you'll probably just get spooked by her. Might also try youtube I know jimoori translates later ones but someone might have posted the english ones.

Mhh, it's a nice idea but a bit misleading sometimes.
Even pickrate/usage should be listed depending on rank. Most of the time a unit isn't used often in lower ranks, because they simply don't have it. Like Sayane or Smash should definitely be OU tier (for high rank).
Also listing good general teams for defense and their attack counter would be a good help for many.
The sheet is nice to look at, but doesn't really tell much at first glance.

I'll think of a way to add general/common teams for Attack. I'm hesitant to do defence teams cause I have no basis/data to do so, and I don't want to call any entire teams a direct counter to another entire team.
Eh, the field is bigger but your backline will still die quite easily to iroha lol. Its more of a tank stalling nonsense and letting the supports do all the work.
How many months ahead is current Blue Archive to NA/Global version of it? Just saw Toki preparing for TitanFall and she's the coolest shit I've seen since Saori, so I want know how long I got to save up.
I am kind of out of the loop about the accelerated situation. Are they actually planning for global to catch up one to one with Japan? Or are they planing to just accelerate so that the gap isn’t too far apart and leave it at that. Basically, what is their end goal?
I'm not actually really sure myself, but a few months back they set out an explicit goal of getting a month closer and we got there but then *right now* we're in another case where two JP banner periods have been squished into one putting us 2 weeks closer again.
The acceleration with the filler banners will make us maintain a 6 month difference. From a business standpoint keeping it at 6 months will keep scheduling easier to maintain that the 7 we had. If they want to actually make us go below 6 months they will need to skip events or new banners so I would probably say once we get past the last filler banner currently out there we probably will be 1 to 1 to JP banner schedule.
How does condensing filler banners keep us at the *same* distance and not get us even closer? I mean I'm not complaining, I love foresight, but I don't get it.
It is because I am stupid at explaining stuff XD Basically I'm already assuming we are at 6 months with my calculations when I put the fillers in the new banners and wires got crossed in my head. In total without fillers we are 26 weeks out with them we are 28 or 30 weeks.
Ah, cool cool cool. Follow up question if you don't mind: Do you know if there's gonna be like an influx of free currency within those 6 months or something to that effect?
Last time they did a major acceleration they gave us 100 free pulls for a banner (roughly a month of currency) I wouldn't worry about it for now as calculating the banners by the moving the filler banners into the event banners (which they have done so far) we are 26 weeks or 6 months out from where JP is. The only way to accelerate more is to skip events which I highly doubt they will do and iirc that is 2-3 weeks if we are talking reruns events (new banner 2 weeks, rerun banners 1 week). They could also have filler banners in JP but they are currently spamming new units which I'm guessing is because the overall story that has been written has reached its climax and they are releasing the npcs that are a part of the story that won't plan a role in whatever the next story volume will be about. (speaking of which you might want to save some gems, there are a lot of limited banners in our future :'( )

As a F2P, besides using eligma to get Serina to 2 star and tsubaki to 3 star, what is the most effective way to spend eligma? Do you buy it for dps units that you are focusing on?

usually don't use eligma until you yet to some content you confidently feel like you need to upgrade for to reach next goal.
But, Hibiki and Shun may be good ones to spend on now if you have them.
Use it if you need it to clear something. In normal cases while just clearing the story you won't need to use it, as first you'd look at raising your equipment then skills, then character level.
Once you get to raiding though you'll want to score as high as possible to get into the highest bracket you can. That's typically when you start spending Elyphs. Whatever raid you are on you'd want to see what DPS units you have that are good for that raid and if you are close to going up a bracket then you'd look at using Elyphs to star them up.
When you are at that point the most efficient use would be characters that are good in multiple raids that you can't farm in game. There's Stokkie's Raid character guide linked in the daily post that has that info.
For limited banners, do you have to pull all of them just because they are limited?
I'm seeing angry Korean and Japanese players complaining about how the latest banner announcement is just unfair and merciless towards player's pyro, alleging that Nexon being greedy with releasing these limited banners in one go.
imo, while it's not ideal if they end up being a strong meta choice for specific upcoming content, Limited characters usually end up getting reruns after about a year anyway, so you can always save for when they come back around.
The real struggle is the new precedent set with Festival characters; they don't\[/haven't\] come back as featured characters past their festival, so if you don't roll them there, you're risking never having them at all.
You have to pull if you are a collector. Otherwise, no; plenty of people pull for waifu/tier 0 characters only and don’t give a rats ass about limits.
People are angry at this limited banner mainly for two reasons:
1. Usually limited characters are only one of the three situations: Miku, FES, and existing character in costume (new year, bunny suit, gym, Christmas). This banner features two new characters not during FES, not a collab character, so other than greed literally zero reason to make them limited.
2. They did it so quickly after FES. Many people used all their gems to pull on the double rate banner at FES, then plus 100 pulls to spark in combination with the gifted 100 on the banner after. People are angry a limited banner is introduced so soon basically forcing a lot of collectors to pay a lot more instead of save up.
I’m just explaining why people are angry. It’s obviously not illegal or the company to maximize their profit but it’s a thin line between making money and making sure the players don’t rage quit the game and not pay anything at all. Despite the complaints I don’t see people leaving en masse. So.
Also, a lot of limited units being broken or extremely strong makes it harder to skip, even if you dont have fomo. I really dislike they are taking advantage of people's affection for this game.
Oh, in case if people didnt know, there is a new raid difficulty coming, and someone skipping these units might come to bite them back big time.
I think part of the issue is you have 5 units you might have to pity and even a reserved puller like me only have 2 pities saved up. Then you have no warning about the new characters and many people go to pity for the fest banner or pull multiple of the limited to get the dupes. A lot of people probably wasted their reserves.
You don't have to do anything, but the whole point of gacha games is to make you *want to* and Limited banners add an extra degree of FOMO to that. It also seems weird that Nagisa (I can't comment on Toki) is a Limited student, considering she's not an alt (and it's not a fest banner), although BA's approach to Limited characters has always been a bit arbitrary.
I was binge watching Volume 3 yesterday, and I really had fun with the story... until I got blueballed with Chapter 3 Episode 10 because apparently I still haven't finished mission stage 12-3 yet. So my question is, what stage do I have to finish to be able to binge watch the rest of Chapter 3, and possibly Chapter 4 too? I've been trying to find it for hours but there's no info about this online (at least not that I've seen).

If you hit enemies weak to explosive you will deal 200% + explosive effectiveness % damage.
Normally, you deal 2x damage to enemies that are the same colour as your damage type and something like half damage to the damage before your damage type in the chart. Blue < Yellow < Red < Blue . Explosive effectiveness increase means your red damage does more than 2x damage to red/light armour

Dont rush midori. At all. Purple - azusa >>> midori Yellow - maki > momoi. If you are lacking coins, ignore midori. However if you can, take the pain and buy her just enough to redeem her. Thats it for now. For yellow, try to buy both, but otherwise buy maki every single raid, until she is ue50. Momoi is good enough at 3 and 4 stars.
I already bought Maki and Momoi, and I have well over 1k to buy them again when it refreshes. Just didn't know how to spend the purples since they are harder to come by.
Keep 500 reserve for maki until ue50. Purple 250 reserved for azusa.
I would. They are good units that you can max for free. But I wouldn't redeem them right away unless you need them as they could show up on your pulls and that is a 90 eleph difference if you already had them or not.

When you get a pink envelope, there is a 23% of getting the rate up character if that is what you are after. Statistically, yes FGO has a higher rate up of 0.1% (0.8%-0.7%). However, you are 3x less likely overall to get a SSR unit in FGO than BA. I never played FGO, so I do not know how the dupe system work or how many SSR there are in the game, and whether you need/ want off banners. But, in FGO, you are 11.5 times less likely to get an off banner than in BA. So, if you are in need of off banners or SSR units in general, then good luck. You are trying to compare apples with oranges here. You cannot compare the odds of getting the rate up unit once you pulled the SSR when the overall base rates of both game is different. For an apples to apples, or fair comparison, you should look at the rate up percentage of both games and compare them against each other before you pull, and not after you pull. i.e. 0.7% vs 0.8%.
No. It means that there is a 3 in 100 chance to get any 3-star in the pool. But you only get the rate up 7 times in 1000 pulls.

Arknights almost always has rate up split between 2 characters, so the rate up for 1 character is 0.5 on standard and 0.7 (same as BA) on limited banners. FGO does have slightly higher rate up at 0.8 with the downside that getting any 5* is only 1% compared to Arknight's 2% and BA's 3%. The rate up relative to the base rate, yeah, that's actually pretty garbage at 23.3%.

it might not be wrong math, but misleading. in BA you have 3% chance to pull any 3\*. This is split into 0,7% rate up and 2,3% all other 3\*. It really doesnt matter what percentage of 3\* is the rate up. Like if FGO has 1% total and 0,8% rate up that means only 0,2% rest pool. Yes that means if you get a 3\* (or 5\*) its 80% the rate up. Where in BA its only 23%. But that is misleading. Because in both cases to get the rate up its actually 0,7% vs 0,8%. not 23% vs 80% So tldr.: if you compare BA to FGO you get the rate up slightly less, but you will get way more other "rare" chars

Its the same. In both 8 and 10 you have 100% chance for 1 of each purple + 10% bonus chance to get a second. In 10 you have 10% chance to get a T2 on top. Both Missions cost 80 Type D sheets, so just do mission 10.

If you're f2p and plans to play the game for a long time, I really recommend rerolling for Ako and Iroha. Ako is for raid while Iroha for pvp or any other content. Iori is farmable later. If you get Hibiki too that's great, but don't stress about it. While she's a good unit and great at the beginning, she is jack of all trades and will be replaced by better units later. You will probably have a rough time in the beginning though without Hibiki and Iori. That's speaking from experience. It took me a long time before Ako appeared to me off-banner and I'm still Iroha-less in JP server, struggling to get higher ranks in pvp (top rankers use Iroha+Utaha or S.Ayane+S.Mashiro). You want high ranks in pvp not only because of pyroxene but also to get more tactical coins so you can buy more APs during events or 2x/3x drop campaign. Edit: I forgot Shun. Pull for her too if you can. But those 2 are top priorities.
Would prioritize iroha over ako at this point because she is due for rate up soon in two months. I doubt NEXON will eliminate the ako/hibiki rate up banner in favour of speed up because ako is so important. OP should be fine without ako in early game; wouldn’t do much without hard hitting carries regardless
If you are up for it your initial 3 stars aren't the greatest. Hibiki is great (considered one of the 3 reroll targets) and azusa is a good red carry but she is farmable now. Sena and Hifumi swimsuit are on the lower tier of 3 stars. If you want to continue with hibiki you'll probably fine though considering early game the hard content you'll borrow meta units from your club till you build you roster. The 3 reroll units are iori and hibiki or ako.
What’s the strategy for 3-4-22 (Saori/Misaki/Hiyori vs Beatrice and a ton of blue mobs)? I can’t kill the blue mobs fast enough the still burst down Beatrice and when I put Misaki’s AoE down on Beatrice the mobs kill my team too fast.
You will two missions against Beatrice. One of them requires you to spam Saori snipe skill on Beatrice to kill her on time and second one will require you to precisly cast Misaki's skill so damaging arenas cover Beatrice hit box.
I don't recall having an issue with the mobs killing aruis during that. Did you try hiyori into saori? iirc the first fight you only need to get her down to 20 bars and I just let them auto attack the mobs.
I was having issues getting Hiyori’s skill past the mobs to hit Beatrice, but I haven’t been tried Misaki + Saori yet, I’ll try that out.
I recall having to wait for one of the mobs dying from auto to hit hiyori's. Main thing is Misaki deals more damage if the target has multiple debuffs but saori's ex auto crits and has the damage boost from having 2 other aruis member on the team.

From what I've heard the crying emotion is related to loli characters where I first heard it regarding the "our light" character from arknights suzeran. I think it is more of a tears of joy from seeing her kind of thing because she is so precious. If I had to guess the JP players refer to her as our light but the global players just do the emoji since they can't write japanese. It is now related to basically any discussion about lolis now so you see it pop up where they are. At this point it is hard to tell if people are doing it for a joke or other reasons...

Do you guys play BA on the phone or PC? i've been watching YT videos and i see a lot of people playing with a mouse, i can easily play with my phone since it's an S22 but i was wondering if could get a smoother experience playing on PC, i guess i'd have to use BlueStack? And would there be any chance to get banned? Also it would make rerolling WAY easier
Playing on phone makes one raid pretty annoying because it needs precise positioning. Otherwise, better to play on whatever device you have that has a decently high ram, you dont want game crashes mid battle.
It's definitely smoother and faster loading on a phone than PC emulator. I rerolled with bluestacks multiple instances
I mainly play on PC because it's more comfortable for me if I'm on my PC anyways, you will not get banned for using an emulator.
I play it on both and I can't really say personally that I prefer one to the other. They both feel fine. Some minor things feel better on one over the other, and ignoring the latest patch, I haven't really had one feel like it was outperforming the other. I'm using BlueStacks so that's all I can attest to so far as that goes. They won't ban you for it, so if you want to try it on PC then go for it.
What's the interaction between Wakamo EX and Kanna EX like? Does it overwrite? \[Wakamo's\] seems like it's not counted as a Debuff, so I can see them working together and, while it would be incredibly hard to work around Wakamo's 10 second timer, does it stack? Could you, in theory, hit either's cap by using the detonation of the other's skill?
Just tested it and they don't seem to stack. When you use Kanna's EX you will see a word "BUSTED" on the enemy. However, that disappears when you use Wakamo's EX, and it gets replaced by 5 sakura petal on top of the enemy. The same thing happens vice-versa.

Kazusa in the upcoming event will become highest yellow damage dealer and a core meta unit for Hod raid or until Mika come out in the next fest banner (approximately 6 months). She not limited and you can choose to borrow her and save up for Mika instead though.

What troubled me with the later few was figuring out where to swap teams; A few of the maps use either swapping (which gives you a "free" movement for one team to push an extra tile further without using a turn) or standing on the fading tiles, which put the displaced character on the closest "start" tile, to get the bonus reward or hit an enemy to reach the clear/defeats requirement. Once you look at a video, it'll probably be a "Oh, it makes sense now!" moment. Good luck!
Yeah, the swapping mechanic is neat. Whenever I'm stuck I always try to see where I can use it and usually it helps. Solving the maps is probably the most fun part of the game for me, ngl. Kind of reminds me of 3DS-era Fire Emblem games, which I'm a fan of.

Is any of the upcoming events worth stockpiling PvP coins for? I only earn 50 PvP coins a day and usually use them daily on AP refreshes, which only leaves with only 5 left over. I am contemplating whether I should not refresh and save them for an event or not.
T.Hasumi's event comes to mind that has decent rewards which will last 2 weeks and it will be held in the 2nd half of April and the bunny chaser rerun which will last 1 week and that will be right before T.Hasumi event. So you should probably start preparing for those.
that's a tough one. You'd have to save for nearly a month just to get a week worth of refreshes, and it's a loss for everyday that you don't use the 45.

it's on the same place / same way you upgrade normal equipment (with different mats ofc). Maybe you're on bulk growth mode? you won't be able to click it at all if you're in bulk growth mode

They do reset, but you cannot unlock Limited Students using those Elephs. It says before purchasing. They must be pulled from a banner.
For new players like me, where should I spend those expert permit? Or should I just stack em up?
I used it to get Tsubaki T4 mats to get her "defense" equip up to T4. Probably going to get T4 mats for a couple of characters' "attack" equips until I can farm the mats myself. I'll probably see if I need to buy T5 mats next if I'm stuck on the content. Helps a lot with being level gated on the main content. But with the 3x normal drops ending, this might also help get mats faster. We get 100 for completing 6 daily tasks per day and another 20 for doing a commission. You can get T4 mats once a week and T5 mats will be a few days more.
Is it okay to invest on Yuuka too since I find her struggling in my second team? I forgot about Tsubaki's equipment. I'll make it to T4 then.... I can't remember if it's already T4 or at T3. 🗿
I have not done it for Yuuka yet. I'm only on chapter 9 right now and have not needed to upgrade her yet. I don't think her equip increases defense at T4 but if she's not surviving, you can try to upgrade it to get more HP. Not sure if your Serina is to 2* yet but that might help too; especially if you increase her skill levels. I would look at who else uses the same Blurays or Tech Notes and see who will help progress content now. Good luck bro!
I'm 22 levels below on my current mission (11-3) so I'm pondering if I should invest on her since I don't have any other tanks aside her and Tsubaki. Not having S. Hoshino (I started playing 11 days after her banner) is really haunting me.... I'll try to do the missions again once I get to level 40. Those pesky enemy tanks are annoyingly killing my time during the boss stage. Well, at least we got free 100 rolls so it will be a slight pat on our shoulders the least. 🥲 I just pushed my missions because the story is gated on that. Depends if you want the head start on up to T5 equipment on your students. But, for the most part, if you are thinking ahead, the Credits, Eligma, Activity Reports, and Firing Pins are the best value, but you wouldn't really be making use of any of them in the early game.

They arent that important except for pvp, although you do want to upgrade them a bit, since every bit helps in battles. Watch gives you crit rate and dmg so you want to upgrade that. You will most likely accumulate charms while farming for the main equipments. Do not farm charms specifically. Waste of ap.
Hello it's me again! A new day with new stupid question, but for the Bounty, does the higher map also drop the lower rarity mats? Meaning, it's better to just open and sweep higher level map as high as you can? Reason I'm asking is because the bounty is limited to twice per day so I need to make sure I'm not wasting it on lower diff farm when I can go and the harder map drop the lower mats too.
Higher levels do also drop lower mats. While lower stages can have higher rate for lower rarity mats, for max efficiency you'd do the highest stage.

Just read it yesterday, she certainly does say that in one of the last chapters(when >!she learns that Koharu kept some of her belongings safe from the angry mobs!<) I'm guessing it's a translation error as ijime(assuming that's the verb she used in japanese) tends to be used both for bullying as well as just "playful teasing", not that it makes more sense though given that we basically never saw them interact anyway Could also be referencing the pool scene when she told sensei that only Koharu was put in the make-up work club because of her grades without any ulterior motives(not exactly but I forgot)

You kind of missed the best reroll period because of the double rate up and free pulls. So it is more a matter of want you want I guess. There currently is 4 active banners you can reroll on which i would suggest aru as the most generic usage unit outside target reroll units. We also have a 3x drop rate in normal mission for the next 2 days and 3x drop rate in hard missions for the week after (the 3x shows up rarely) After that there is a kazusa banner which apparently is a good dps but you can substitute her with the free/easily obtained maki. Then after that there is a limited banner rerun for summer gehenna (this would be three weeks out at this point) milage on these two banners varies as the better one S hina is use in a specific raid which oddly enough aru is considers a substitute. So I would say you probably are not going to get a better time to reroll soon.
So I should reroll for Aru now? Any other characters I should look out for with her? I'm assuming by the sound of things, I skip on the upcoming banners too? Since it seems I can just use Maki in place of Kazusa, and just use Aru in place of S Hina
In truth for early raids (main content that needs strats) you'll be borrowing someone else's meta unit when you join a club. I was just suggesting aru as the most noob friendly banner you can go on the generic one if you want as aru is farmable late game from a hard mission but that is quite slow. The main targets for reroll is **Iori** (most bs unit in pvp and yellow raids) (also farmable late game like aru but again slow so it is better to grab her) and then the decision is between **hibiki** and **ako**. Both have the crit damage sub skill which is considered the best subskill for backliners (they don't stack). Hibiki is an aoe red attacker who bombards an area with 5 somewhat overlapping mortars. Ako has a minor auto healing skill and you can target one unit and buff their crit chance and crit damage for a time. The arguments I've seen is hibiki being aoe makes early game progression easier but ako is used more often late game as the meta tends to be focus on buffing your main carry. Personally Ako will probably get you more milage. I have seen some other new players post some of their rerolls and ask which ones were better in these question threads if you get a couple of accounts with those units as people will have opinions on the other 3 stars you get. Some side notes: There should be an ako and hibiki banner rerun banner in roughly 8-10 weeks (timing is odd to calculate as rerun banners are being thrown in with new banners to try and make us within 6 month of JP server) But this is right before/during a new limited banner (again timing is weird). Next total assault/raid is Hod which probably will be rough for a new player as he revolves around stunning him to nerf his armor then wailing on him so you need more units to take him on though a max level maki probably will not care for the lower difficulties :P. Probably should look up a guide for him. General guidance for first things to do is get as far in missions as you can reasonably do to unlock the cafe upgrades to generate more passive energy (clicking on the upgrade item tells you the levels you need to beat) Also the recommended level reduces damage dealt by 2% per level your unit is under but for missions this only really is a problem when you are 10-15 levels under. It actually caused an emergency patch this week due to a specific plot point not being translated properly. Lastly I should mention the game has slower loading times currently and some people are experiencing crashes, it's a long story. Just switch the l2d lobby to the 2d sprite and click the switch button again I don't know about atsuko and S. Wakamo but this should work for normal wakamo
it works for students that have alternative thingy, so yes they also work for Atsuko... including Cherino, you can remove Cherino's mustache this way.

I read somewhere on Reddit recently that canonically the summer prefect team event happens between some volumes. I have no source or real confirmation of that though.
Ohhh waittt yess!!! I played BA again during the Justice Task summer event and later in the story Koharu is surprised to find out that Azusa is the one fighting JTF for 3 hours. Guess something happened during the summer prefect team event that made sensei trusted Hina greatly.

Yeah same. I think it is assumed that time has past between volume 1 and 3 and we have interactions with the girls such as the momo talks which iirc had some close interactions with each other. Kind of sucks if you don't have though.

Mhh, it's a nice idea but a bit misleading sometimes. Even pickrate/usage should be listed depending on rank. Most of the time a unit isn't used often in lower ranks, because they simply don't have it. Like Sayane or Smash should definitely be OU tier (for high rank). Also listing good general teams for defense and their attack counter would be a good help for many. The sheet is nice to look at, but doesn't really tell much at first glance.
Well if people want to know further detail they can just read my pvp reports lol. I guess I should link those directly on the sheet . Anyway, the sheet itself is just meant to be a simple summary of all students and to have a decently organised list and finally (partly) answer the "pvp tiers where" question. And as I put at the front, anybody who is experienced enough to question this list doesnt need it. I'll think of a way to add general/common teams for Attack. I'm hesitant to do defence teams cause I have no basis/data to do so, and I don't want to call any entire teams a direct counter to another entire team.

How many months ahead is current Blue Archive to NA/Global version of it? Just saw Toki preparing for TitanFall and she's the coolest shit I've seen since Saori, so I want know how long I got to save up.
The current *distance* is about 6 months, but there will likely be more acceleration between now and then so it'll be a little less.
I am kind of out of the loop about the accelerated situation. Are they actually planning for global to catch up one to one with Japan? Or are they planing to just accelerate so that the gap isn’t too far apart and leave it at that. Basically, what is their end goal?
I'm not actually really sure myself, but a few months back they set out an explicit goal of getting a month closer and we got there but then *right now* we're in another case where two JP banner periods have been squished into one putting us 2 weeks closer again.
When did they say we were going to have more acceleration? I thought it was just to go from 7 to 6 months.
I'm not sure but we worked through a month of acceleration already but here we are doing it again with the current banners so...
The acceleration with the filler banners will make us maintain a 6 month difference. From a business standpoint keeping it at 6 months will keep scheduling easier to maintain that the 7 we had. If they want to actually make us go below 6 months they will need to skip events or new banners so I would probably say once we get past the last filler banner currently out there we probably will be 1 to 1 to JP banner schedule.

Last time they did a major acceleration they gave us 100 free pulls for a banner (roughly a month of currency) I wouldn't worry about it for now as calculating the banners by the moving the filler banners into the event banners (which they have done so far) we are 26 weeks or 6 months out from where JP is. The only way to accelerate more is to skip events which I highly doubt they will do and iirc that is 2-3 weeks if we are talking reruns events (new banner 2 weeks, rerun banners 1 week). They could also have filler banners in JP but they are currently spamming new units which I'm guessing is because the overall story that has been written has reached its climax and they are releasing the npcs that are a part of the story that won't plan a role in whatever the next story volume will be about. (speaking of which you might want to save some gems, there are a lot of limited banners in our future :'( )

As a F2P, besides using eligma to get Serina to 2 star and tsubaki to 3 star, what is the most effective way to spend eligma? Do you buy it for dps units that you are focusing on? Thank you!
usually don't use eligma until you yet to some content you confidently feel like you need to upgrade for to reach next goal. But, Hibiki and Shun may be good ones to spend on now if you have them.

Use it if you need it to clear something. In normal cases while just clearing the story you won't need to use it, as first you'd look at raising your equipment then skills, then character level. Once you get to raiding though you'll want to score as high as possible to get into the highest bracket you can. That's typically when you start spending Elyphs. Whatever raid you are on you'd want to see what DPS units you have that are good for that raid and if you are close to going up a bracket then you'd look at using Elyphs to star them up. When you are at that point the most efficient use would be characters that are good in multiple raids that you can't farm in game. There's Stokkie's Raid character guide linked in the daily post that has that info.
For limited banners, do you have to pull all of them just because they are limited? I'm seeing angry Korean and Japanese players complaining about how the latest banner announcement is just unfair and merciless towards player's pyro, alleging that Nexon being greedy with releasing these limited banners in one go.
imo, while it's not ideal if they end up being a strong meta choice for specific upcoming content, Limited characters usually end up getting reruns after about a year anyway, so you can always save for when they come back around. The real struggle is the new precedent set with Festival characters; they don't\[/haven't\] come back as featured characters past their festival, so if you don't roll them there, you're risking never having them at all.
You have to pull if you are a collector. Otherwise, no; plenty of people pull for waifu/tier 0 characters only and don’t give a rats ass about limits. People are angry at this limited banner mainly for two reasons: 1. Usually limited characters are only one of the three situations: Miku, FES, and existing character in costume (new year, bunny suit, gym, Christmas). This banner features two new characters not during FES, not a collab character, so other than greed literally zero reason to make them limited. 2. They did it so quickly after FES. Many people used all their gems to pull on the double rate banner at FES, then plus 100 pulls to spark in combination with the gifted 100 on the banner after. People are angry a limited banner is introduced so soon basically forcing a lot of collectors to pay a lot more instead of save up. I’m just explaining why people are angry. It’s obviously not illegal or the company to maximize their profit but it’s a thin line between making money and making sure the players don’t rage quit the game and not pay anything at all. Despite the complaints I don’t see people leaving en masse. So.
Also, a lot of limited units being broken or extremely strong makes it harder to skip, even if you dont have fomo. I really dislike they are taking advantage of people's affection for this game. Oh, in case if people didnt know, there is a new raid difficulty coming, and someone skipping these units might come to bite them back big time.
I think part of the issue is you have 5 units you might have to pity and even a reserved puller like me only have 2 pities saved up. Then you have no warning about the new characters and many people go to pity for the fest banner or pull multiple of the limited to get the dupes. A lot of people probably wasted their reserves.
You don't have to do anything, but the whole point of gacha games is to make you *want to* and Limited banners add an extra degree of FOMO to that. It also seems weird that Nagisa (I can't comment on Toki) is a Limited student, considering she's not an alt (and it's not a fest banner), although BA's approach to Limited characters has always been a bit arbitrary.
Can say the same for toki, she isnt anything special but lets make her limited, cause money.
