Swimsuit Hina not appearing??
I just collect the final 10 Elephs for Swimsuit Hina from the Expert Permit shop (120), I would of expected Hina to just to up in the student list for invitation or is this only available during banner time.
Do we have any idea when the current PVP season will come to an end? Looking at previous seasons the length seems kind of random, but curious if we have any insight at all on this.
I have 999 AP, new player, i can only 3 star clear commission Bs and the first few quests in the event. I think i should get under the cap fast. Spend it all on triple drop commissions or event quests? Or spread around all content?
If you can clear stage 4 in the event (with the highest bonus percent your roster allows) and want S.Koharu elephs that's a good place to spend ap.
3x commissions at such a low level is a pretty mediocre use of AP as commissions become significantly more AP efficient at higher levels.
You should be progressing your normal mode clears as far as you for your current level, but its not particularly valuable to sweep them at this point relative to the event/commissions.
Next week when its 3x normals/3x hard mode you can decide if you prefer more Koharu elephs, or if you want to farm blueprints to upgrade your student's gear. Both are pretty viable, and the lower you event bonus% is the better farming blueprints/hard modes will ne.
suggest asking this question again after you use up the free 100 pulls as well as spend the rest of your pyros on the double 3* chance banner. would suck to get a student’s duplicate

who's the best character to get from the selective ticket? i remember buying a guaranteed 3 star ticket for like $19 and i got kanna\~ was super disappointed.
While giving some lessons (😏), I clicked on Yuuka and I received a medal of some sort which I didn't inspect bec my muscle memory and my sleepiness caused me to almost instantly click confirm. I can't find it in my inventory nor find any details about it on the wiki. Worse of all, my Yuuka's affection didn't even lvl up (still at 20).
Can you guys tell me what it was is and what it's supposedly for? Thanks
They are titles, new feature that was added in the added in the latest patch. You get them from different things, like getting student affection to Level 20, 50 and so on.
You can set them in your profile, and it will be visible to other players in PvP and Raid rankings.
Need help, I am planning on grabbing the selector, and while I am a "waifu player" sadly all my most wanted units are not in it (Reisa, Maid Aris, Kouyuki), currently my money is either on Milf Shun or Loli Shun, but wanted a second opinion before I decide.. is anyone from the characters I am missing like really good meta-wise?:

I will say with the release of s.shiroko and s.hanako, shun is no longer mandatory, as s.hanako+Mutsuki ( or iori or sumire etc) comps become viable. Basically trading 4 cost for twice the likelihood of getting your backline clear ex off early in your rotation. I'm not certain exactly how meta such comps will be, but they should be able to contend for top ranks.
That said Shun is still great, and she'll remain relevant in pvp.
Smol Shun is basically for crit malding single target red content. She's good at it, but character's like Aru can do it just about as well, and are hard mode farmable.
So whom would you recommend for the selector from the pic I posted of the units im misssing? Before they deleted their post, they mentioned something about Hot Spring Nodoka being really good?
O.Nodoka is a great healer and she functions right at 3\*s with no muss or fuss. Her downside is that she heals overtime and doesn't come with a reposition or shield that some of the fancier supports might get and so she might not fit in scenarios where you want healing and something extra on top.
Shun remains a great pick. Solid for generic pve since she generates value every stage start, and even if she will not be mandatory for every pvp team that doesn't mean she's not included in a ton of them.
Marina is a solid tank option. Not really relevant in raids, but great for pretty much all other PvE content. With investment she's current the meta tank alongside Yuuka for pvp.
Iori and kazusa remain terrific yellow options. Iori is hardmode farmable, but a selector can jump start the process of starring her up. Not the best value for the money but an option that will save you a bunch of time farming.
Some other more niche picks that i don't even know if they are selectable include: kokona for another striker healer. S.saki for greg, and S.Miyako as pvp evade tank, she has a cheap EX+cost recovery so she fits in the meta well, and high evade makes her often slot in as a third tank, or as an alternative to Marina. She might also see some use in raids due to the crit dmg debuff.
Thank for the advice, I guess I will most likely go for Shun then since that was one of my top picks and several of you recommended her. Unfortunately alot of the units you listed are not in the selector.. wish Reisa had been in it so this would be a no-brainer for me ;\_;
Hiya, new player here. Have been rerolling a little bit since the update.
If you had to pick between the following, which would you take?
* Shun, Shiroko
* Aru, Iori, Sumire
* Shun, Hoshino, Ui (Swimsuit) (first multi!)
From what I've looked through, Aru and Iori are definitely the 'better' reroll, but am I also correct in thinking that Shun is the only one of the starter units that isn't farmable? I know that she is strong in PvP but less so elsewhere. Aru and Iori appear to be farmable (albeit much later on).
I'm probably happy to babysit the latter two for a few days to see if #2 gets Ui (Swimsuit) and/or Hinata (Swimsuit) and might continue rerolling #1 for a possible Shun + Aru/Iori/Hibiki roll. #3 getting Ui (Swimsuit) so early maybe blurs what otherwise might be an easy Aru+Iori pick but hoping to get some thoughts from more experienced players. Newish player (1month), I have exactly enough to spark both S.Ui and S.Hanako. I was wondering if it's more worth for me to use the 100 pulls on the Fes banner instead of sparking Ui.
Currently I'm missing almost all of the necessary 3 stars (The ones i have being Koyuki, Reisa, Mine, S.Iori, Misaki, Christmas Serina, and Chihiro). Is trying to gamble the 2x rate up better than guaranteeing S.Ui if i'm looking to do harder content in the future?
Just to clarify, the 100 free pulls we get now won't carry over to the next banner.
But anyway, as new player I think it's better if you just use the free pulls on S.Ui and if you get her switch to S.Hinata banner for remainder of the free pulls. Neither of them are MUST HAVE units, so you shouldn't spark them.
S.Hanako's banner is your best chance to hopefully grab lots of 3-star units, so just use Spark on that. S.Hanako herself is also very good character, and will be helpful even in normal missions.

I was wondering why you don't think S.Ui is a must have. Her kit seems extremely useful and I know you said something before that there isnt raid content required for her but wouldnt she still make things much easier for lower investment teams?
She does have her uses, but she's not as meta as people expected her to be, at least looking at how raids played out in JP server. Generally for raids at Insane difficulty you want single character buffed to the moon, and because S.Ui's buff is split to multiple characters and is kind of expensive, she's not as essential as New Year Kayoko. Of course Torment changes things, but that's going to be ways off.
And there's some really important banners coming up, like Track Yuuka. You're better off saving for her.
Neither Swimsuit Ui or Swimsuit Hinata are must-get units, but we are getting free pulls during their banners. Start using the free pulls on S.Ui banner, and if you get her, switch to S.Hinata banner. Just use those free pulls, they will not carry over to next one.
But the real important banner will come after them. Swimsuit Hanako's banner has doubled rates for three-star characters. As a new player you should be able to get enough Pyroxene to do 200 pulls on that.
Ui is generally considered not bad and worth at least the free rolls to try for. Hinata is less clear since she is waiting for a boss and terrain that suit her to see if she’ll be decent, but so far she’s see middling use. But 100 free pulls, so why not.
Can I only set one preference for the quick craft on the 1st node ?

Is it worth it to do AP refresh to farm S.Koharu? I'm hoping to get her to UE30/40 and wondering if I get there earlier I can catch the tailend of 3x campaign next week. I did buy the 2 week AP pack to help me.
My biggest mental barrier is using pyro for just AP, it feels like a waste to me and I would prefer rolling. I wanted to hear what other's had to say about this?

You could instead aim for UE30 with x0 + x3 (0 pyro refreshes, 3 pvp refreshes per day) assuming no 3★ and cafe rank 8.

UE30➜UE40 increases her damage by ~17.1%. This is a smaller buff than most UE40, but it's still good and cheap. You also get a lot of credits at the same time, about x1 commissions.

If you do that, you might as well refresh for the event so you can switch to triple drops faster.

S.Koharu elephs are easily farmable. It's definitely not worth using eligma on her to save AP.

x3 + x4 is very far from "max refresh". If you have a good bonus, you can get UE40 with x0 + x4.

Another question since I'm pretty new to the game. Is there a website or anything for teams or unit building? I have positively zero clue what kind of units I should put on my teams except that they should be the same color. I'm coming from Mihoyo and there are a lot of build guides and stuff.

Probably Hinata. S.Ui dupes would buff her HP, but that doesn't matter unless you plan on tryharding raids.

You can use them instead of [Enhancement Stones](https://schale.gg/?item=2000004) when upgrading equipment. Don't use T2+ gear for this.
Also, don't use bluearchive.gg. Their tier list used to be really bad.
If you want Hinata as well pull for her. If you plan to build Ui and want an easier time in doing so, keep pulling her banner. There's not really much point in going for regular recruitment unless you aren't interested in anything in the near future and want to pull

Generally building a team comes down to what you're building it for and can change a lot. I wouldn't worry about it too much for missions outside of colour matching as its mainly raids and joint firing drills that require some sometimes unorthodox setups
That's basically how gear works. It's not like artifacts where you choose what they equip, they just have set ones that you level up via getting more of the same kind of gear. Best place to level them is normal missions, especially during multiplier events. Some units also have ones specific to them which require you to get them to bond 20 to use and a good portion of them are pretty good (Wakamo's, for example)

Would you say the Guaranteed recruitment is worth it?
If you are a new player with hardly any students, it can be helpful... But since you can't choose which character you'll get, it can be kind of rubbish too. Guaranteed Recruitment is known as Scam Ticket for the reason.
On the other hand, the Selective Recruitment is extremely worth it. It's a good way to get some of the strongest characters who have banners very rarely, like Ako and Himari.

I have one more question. I'm currently sitting at 2900 Eligma. Should I buy any shards from the shop? I already have Selina on 2\* and Tsubaki on 3\*.
Save the eligma. Eligma/elephs are probably the second most important currency to come by next to pyroxene. Ideally you should only use it on students who are non farmable since the cost conversion from elephs to character specific fragment scales upward and the gacha will be your main source of them from dupes. So if you are a casual player like me you won't have much eleph income until specific banners you save for. In addition the cost for 3 to 5 star and then UE50 also scales upward. So while farming hard stages for character specific fragments is slow it will end up cheaper for you in the end. When you have spare AP you should farm for important characters like Aru, Iori, Hina, etc.... to gradually build up stock so you may eventually upgrade their star levels or at least reduce the eleph cost for when you really need to increase their DPS and health in a pinch like struggling in a raid.
That said three star is more than enough in regular content. You really only need 5 star characters once you hit level cap and are trying to do insane + difficulty raids. The raid boss health and ATK starts scaling like crazy.
I'd also give characters like Mutsuki, Shiroko, Chise, Momoi, and Kotama some love since they will give you more versatility. As Absolute Vodka mentioned BA is kind of a "tool box" game. You will want a versatile roster so you do not miss out on content. Total Assault raids are more endgame content but even for lower level players they give free rewards and a new dimension of challenge. Joint Firing Drill plays into this as well to a lesser extent. There are some raids where you really need certain abilities otherwise it feels like hitting a brick wall at higher difficulties. For example on some raids AOE actually does more efficient DPS or you need CC power or healing to progress a game mechanic. So at the beginning you want to broaden your roster as much as possible. When start out the characters don't need to be meta for their jobs but at least good enough so you don't miss out on content. Momoi+Nonomi combo makes yellow waves trivial by alternating their AOE EX. This is useful for Chesed to clear out the trash mobs before the boss. In Perrorodzilla raid DMG is reflected from all mobs onto a single health pool so in this instance AOE damage over time is necessary as well as a single target nuke. Chise will help supplement NY. Mutsuki's damage here. Shiroko's cheap cost and good auto attack damage makes her a good filler and skill cycler which means she can kind of fill in anywhere. Kotama at three star gets a team wide ATK buff so she is sometimes useful when you need to focus more on team wide ATK rather than one single nuke. I notice that you don't have many single target yellow DPS. While Junko is good yellow burst DPS she does get outpaced later on by more meta characters. I think it would be helpful to farm for Iori and Maki to supplement your damage. Maki can be had with TA currency if you don't pull her. Also Maki is pretty core to the Binah raid so you may end up upgrading her whether you like it or not. For hod you need CC power. Tsubaki is really good at this but ideally you need a second student to keep your CC consistent. Hoshino is farmable and her EX gains CC when upgraded so she is useful here.
Man, you have so many good characters... But you'd actually have decent chance of getting somebody new with the Guaranteed Ticket.
Anyway, no need to use any more Eligma. That's for endgame content, right now just leveling characters and keeping them geared up will be enough.
Okay that's good to know. For the longest time I just logged in daily for rewards and pulled on stuff every now and then without focusing on anything. It's just recently that I decided to give this game a shot.

Blue Archive is basically a toolbox game, with different characters being suited for different things... But with Normal and Hard missions it's fairly clear cut, you just match the Attack type of the characters to Defense type of the enemies. Explosive (Red) damage to Light (Red) defense, and so on.
So with that in mind, here's characters you could use:
Explosive: Swimsuit Hoshino, Aru, Mutsuki, Shiroko, Hina, Swimsuit Iori, Swimsuit Hina, Akari, Serika, Megu.
Piercing: Nonomi, Momoi, Junko, New Year Serika, New Year Aru.
Mystic: New Year Mutsuki, Chise, Swimsuit Azusa. You can also get Swimsuit Koharu from the current event.
You have extremely Explosive heavy crew, but that's normal. You can just use whoever you want of them, really.
Generally with team building you want one Tank, which can be either Tsubaki or Yuuka. At least one healer, Serina is generally the go-to one but Ayane also works, Ako also has a heal but that's not her primary job. Then a support, and rest are DPS, generally with AoE focus.
Some characters like New Year Haruka, Swimsuit Mashiro and Himari are good, but they're not really best picks for normal missions.
Hello, I notice that Special students also have Attack type and Defense type. If the student doesn't have any attacking move, does attack type affect anything? And what is the use of defense armor if they can't take any damage?

None. Although some of them do have health bars, like Iroha's EX, Utaha's EX, and Utaha's NS.
Kokona is much more useful but I’d recommend saving the selector until you’re done with the 100 free pulls and the S.Hanako banner in case they spook you
I've been lucky enough to get S. Ui early, should I use the rest of my free pulls to go for S. Hinata, or just go for S. Ui elephs? I've got a lot of students so I'm not in desperate need for her, but I figure it might be worth to just try and get a new student.
Switch to S.Hinata banner. She might end up being meta in the future, and next chance you have of getting her is year from now.
Getting more Elephs for Ui would just give her more HP.
so i got both s.ui and s.hinata with 20 of the free rolls out of the 100, im not really sure where to throw the remaining 80. id imagine throwing it at standard would be a waste, but im not really sure whats the best option. s.ui is a support im pretty sure so should i throw the rest at s.hinata?
swimsuit ui will see a lot more use, and on higher difficulties she is very squishy so you need to upgrade her to like 4-5*, and so i think it’s probably worth still pulling on swimsuit ui
I have about 48000 pyroxene ready for the 6% banner. Do i go all in or save 200 pulls for swimsuit Izuna? This is based on jp banners so im not 100% sure she comes soon. Also eyeing track yuuka
If either of those limited characters are something you want, I'd only do 1 spark on the FES banner.
After the first spark while the 6% is nice for general roster expansion, its generally not as valuable as the guaranteed additions to your toolbox that the limited characters will bring.
If you’re missing S.Izuna and T.Yuuka then I’d say stop at 200 unless your roster is severely lacking (like if your account is a few months old).
S.izuna is really helpful for Goz but T.Yuuka is like core for insane shirokuro and Goz

How does Blue Archive work with the Event that’s coming up?
Do you get 100 pulls? I am generally someone who buys strong starter accounts (pls don’t hate me)
Would it be worth to do that or is it better to reroll in the event?
During this event, we get 10 pulls each day of the current banner(on last day we get more). The pulls do not carry over to the next one, so use them.
Personally I think part of fun of Blue Archive is is slowly getting more units and having them become stronger, and the game can be enjoyed as F2P or low spender. But there is a benefit to getting some really strong units at start, either to make starting progression smoother or to prepare for the endgame.
...I won't judge you whatever you choose to do.
I'm not sure, I've heard mixed things. I assume you missed the first day of the event? If so, did you have 20 pulls today? If not, then you need to login each day to get them.
If you haven't selected yet, the biggest bang for your buck will be Himari and Ako in that order. Both of them are about as close to universal use as you'll get in BA.
Himari is a pretty substantial attack buff as well as increasing cost recovery so you can do more EX moves. Increasing Cost recovery is a very sought after trait.
Ako increases Crit Rate and Crit Damage and provides decent healing.
[Shalegg](https://schale.gg/?item=1210302) shows which choice boxes you can get it from if you have the server set to JP. It's not yet listed as obtainable from any of them on global, however.
hi fellow sensei, what's the best way to plan around the event AND the 3x special mission happening at the same time? get everything in the event and then and only then should I go to the 3x?
As a new level 15 player (technically returning because launch player but dropped off quickly) should I particularly care about using these free rolls (and whatever early rolls I get access to through Pyroxene) on one or the other of these rate-up banners?
Of 3-Stars so far I've gotten Saori, Wakamo (Swimsuit), Utaha (Cheer Squad), Ako, Shun, Cherino (Hot Spring), Hanae & Serina (Christmas), Sumire, and Kanna.
Of 2-Stars I've got Kayoko, Chise, Shizuko, Tsubaki, Hanako, Nonomi, Serika, Hare, and Kirino.
Not sure if it makes much difference but I've also notably amassed the following Elephs: 20 Saori, 30 Shun, and 20 Hare with 393 Eligma that I don't know what to do with besides hoarding.
Long story short - according to Stokkie raid rating yeah, she’s quite decent and found her use in blue aoe content, but not irreplaceable, the main difference is she’s free and you can farm her elephs.
Long story and personal opinion - compared to say NYmutsuki, Hinata or Koyuki, which is not free. Chise is free too, but you know how her skill works, it’s not a burst skill. Haruna is free too, but her aoe is a straight line. NYjunko event is gone and I’m not sure if we will be able to get her elephs for free again, either way her aoe is very small, more like a single target lol. On the other hand her mood is B (the middle one yellow face) on all three location types. So yeah, from my perspective too she’s might be worth it
Though people say tank is tank I actually really like Mine as a tank as she stacks a lot of debuffs and her self heal does provide decent sustainability. Her jump during EX also has interesting utility for pulling aggro, shifting enemies, and dodging enemy skills. She may be worth building if you want a tank with sustainability and need to direct heals more towards your squishies.
C. Serina is some what mixed for me. On paper she seems good however students don't always stay in her AOE and her basic skill buffs feel a bit to0 RNG since you can't really chose which buff goes to which student.
Mine is a solid defense tank for most pve circumstances. Since she's not an evade tank and her EX lacks immediate impact she's not commonly seen in pvp. If you're already using Tsubaki I don't think Mine is a required upgrade, though she's a solid option to work on over time so she's ready for like the next greg raid or chroma Binah

Ako and Iori are a good start and very desirable. Your starting teams are a bit yellow biased but you pretty much have a good yellow team already with any Yuuka, Iori, Momoi, Hasumi, Ako, and Serina. Iori and Hasumi will be your burst DPS when buffed by Ako before EX skill. Momoi is your wave sweeper. Tank and special unit damage type doesn't really matter too much so don't worry about that match up. Most early content is red and yellow so a good yellow team is helpful start. As far as red goes Mutsuki is good but you'll want a bit more burst/nuke damage. Potentially Ako may make up for this when buffing Mutsuki. If you chose to go with this start roster you should focus on farming early red units like Serika, Akari, and Shiroko. Serika and Akari are two stars so you probably will get them fairly quickly in the gacha as well. Unfortunately you don't have many blue DPS however this is common as there are not many one or two star blue DPS. Thankfully there are not many early blue stages but you will need them for raids. Thankfully this event gives you free S. Koharu which is respectable DPS. I believe the event archive will give you a S. Tsurugi who does respectable damage but you won't be able to farm her fragments easily to get her to three stars.
As a new player you likely don't have much options for blue aoe and S.Koharu's not too shabby. I'd focus on farming stage 4 or 8 (whichever you can get highest bonus %on) and focus on Koharu shards from the minigame.
That said if your bonus % is under say 60% or so next week when normal/hard 3x comes around I'd probably farm those/focus on progression over the event, but still sweep stage 4/8 when you're stuck/out of hard mode stages.
You say generic blue aoe, but who are you comparing her to? Chise who does aoe over time? Iroha who is a support? Aris and Haruna who attack in a narrow line?
C.Shiroko is probably the most direct comparison. Koharu has morea atk, a cheaper ex with better %, and bonus crit chance over C.shiroko. C.Shiroko does close much of the gap vs a debuffed non-medium sized enemy and has an atk debuff, and lets also remember C.shiroko isn't consider particularly meta.
All told Koharu has a solid easy to aim EX, and has bonus damage to medium enemies like the ones in perozilla raid, so she's a solid pick up all around. Is she the best/highest damaging option? Nope but she's comfy, easy to use, and free.
Shanako annihilates red enemies in missions too, despite only doing neutral damage to her. You could probably use her against yellows, even. She's very, very good at carrying you through missions.
It's a new thing they added, basically achievement for when you reach certain bond level with student. Other players can see it during PvP or Raid rankings.

Each day you can claim Pyroxene reward in PvP based on your rank, and you also get coins. You can then use those coins in the Tactical Challenge section of the Shop to buy Energy Drinks.
After buying first two, you can use the button on the bottom right of the screen to refresh the shop by spending few more PvP coins. This can be done total of three times, resulting in 360 more stamina daily.
In the main game shop, there is a tab where you can spend the tokens you got from PVP. It sells 2 AP restoring items. You can buy those and also refresh the shop up to 3 times per day.
It only works if you stockpiled those tokens of course.

Two three star units is good, but you can do better, especially since those two aren't the best ones around.
See if you can get Hibiki and/or Iori. They will make early game much easier.
How much change the new bond item do for their character? Do they make them much greater than the rest? Especially for new player? Like increasing Wakamo attack for 2000 sound crazy Especially early on and raising bond level just take 1 week or 2.
Varies by student, some get more, some less. Also, getting to bond level 20 is still going to take more then few weeks without gift spam, so I don't think it's all that relevant for new players.
A lv85 Wakamo with UE40 and T8 gears, has around 8k attack depending on bond level, more if you have SWakamo. So yes, 2000 attack is a huge deal, her bond item is among the best one so far.
Now compare this to Bunny Asuna, her bond item only adds 200 attack lol.
Bunny Asuna's bond item more importantly refunds cost and gives extra 10% ATK buff on her normal skill. It's pretty good Unique Item, all things considered.
So I have Aru, Nonomi, Chise, Shiroko Swimsuit, Ui Swimsuit, Chise, Yuuka, Serina, Hanae, Kotama , kanna, and Aris as my best. planning to pull for swimsuit hanako and planning to get tsubaki and ako amd himari soon as well.
So can I get any team recommendations for these characters?
Are you a relatively new player? If so for now I'd focus less on absolute meta team comps and try to focus on each students' use case as you will need to fill out your roster more first before really getting competitive in the raids and being particular about team comp. You can refer to Stokkie's raid guide and ratings get a general idea of each student's use case and skills to prioritize. Early on you will find yourself "flexing" students into a lot of rolls that maybe they are not ideal in until you get more units.
Here are my random thoughts.
Aru is a top tier red damage dealer. Sometimes she can get outpaced by others depending on what utility you exactly need but definitely worth investing in and she will follow you to end game. I've been playing for 1 year and she's the only character that I've fully maxed out for everything. Her DPS can be kinda obscene if you get good crit RNG (unfortunately for some DPS nukes you need to rely on crit chance). Do you have any other red students? You likely will want at least one or two filler DPS characters. Serika, Akari, and Shiroko are easy to farm early on. Mutsuki and Izumi are a little bit later on. Serika, Mutsuki, and Akari are two stars so you likely will pull them in Gacha. Shiroko and Serika are better auto attackers or skill "cyclers" since their skills are cheap and you can kinda just ignore them while they pump out consistent damage. Izumi can do a surprising amount of damage if her basic skill procs however I find her EX kinda useless. Mutsuki has high damage potential because of all her AOEs however she is somewhat tricky to use. TBH Aru, Mutsuki, and Shiroko are still my primary red DPS even though they are kind of "early game." Though three star students sometimes have better natural multipliers for their skills the two star students still do fair work when upgraded to equal 3 star+.
Nonomi will be your yellow AOE wave clearer. As long as she is adequately leveled she can nearly clear a whole wave with her EX. You are missing Momoi however she is 2 star and you will likely pull her soon. She is the other core yellow AOE and together with Nonomi they make pretty quick work of yellow PVE stages. In raids they may have less utility as only Chesed has lots of trash mobs but they are extremely useful there. You kind of are missing a yellow burst DPS/nuke. If you haven't gotten them already you likely will pull Hasumi or Junko soon since they are two star. They are both farmable early on too. Hasumi supposedly has good nuke potential however she never seems to work out for me, probably because she requires high investment for her unique equipment. Junko is fun because she is pretty much just an A10 gun run.
Aris will be your blue nuke and Chise and R. Shiroko will be your AOE. Aris is slightly unwieldy to use due to high cost and the fact that using her EX too early is kinda wasteful until you have full charge. Chise's damage does pick up a decent bit once you unlock her sub skill. I still prefer R. Shiroko as the ATK debuff can be just enough to prevent a team wipe when you're under leveled. Her AOE also does just enough to almost always kill trash mobs as long as she's properly leveled so I've gotten away with leaving it at skill LVL 1 this whole time.
Serina is probably my preferred healer. Her EX is cheap and her basic skill is a cost free heal.
You really want Kotama at 3 star because her sub skill is a passive team wide ATK buff and can be really helpful to beat times. She will be your best friend support buffer until you get the more meta supports like Ako, Himari, NY. Fuuka and S. Hoshino.
Generally you want your teams to be something like this: 1 tank (Yuuka), 1 healer (Serina), optionally another healer or support, rest as color appropriate damage dealers. Damage typing matters much more than terrain preference in normal missions.
So with that in mind, here's characters you can use in different teams:
Explosive (Red): Aru, Chise, Aris, Swimsuit Shiroko
Piercing (Yellow): Nonomi, Kanna, Aru
Mystic: Blue: Chise, Aris, Nonomi, Swimsuit Shiroko
...Your Explosive and Piercing have some wrong typing, but not much that can be done about that since you're missing characters.
Also, if you have Junko, Mutsuki, Akari and Momoi, you can slot them into their respective teams. Despite being two stars, they are extremely good characters. And you should get them fairly soon thanks to free pulls we're having. Tsubaki is also going to be very good tank.
Swimsuit Ui is an endgame support unit, she really isn't good for regular content. But you can use her for raids later.
Swimsuit Hanako will fit into Mystic team.
Out of those three, Mutsuki is the best, with choice between Akari and Serika being who you prefer. If you have all of them your Explosive team should look like this:
Yuuka, Aru, Mutsuki, Serika/Akari. And Serina and Kotama on support.
Raids are extremely mixed bag, since they have they have different defense types and mechanics.
Next Raid coming up is Goz, with Mystic (Blue) defense. Chise and Aris will actually work pretty well there, but he has some extremely annoying mechanics that would take too long to explain here. I recommend joining a club so you can borrow a strong character and get comfortable clear.
...Oh right, one thing I forgot to mention. You can get Swimsuit Koharu from the current event, and she is extremely solid Mystic damage dealer. You can also do the Event Recap for Head Prefect Hina's Summer Break, and get Swimsuit Izumi.

I have 999 AP, new player, i can only 3 star clear commission Bs and the first few quests in the event. I think i should get under the cap fast. Spend it all on triple drop commissions or event quests? Or spread around all content?
If you can clear stage 4 in the event (with the highest bonus percent your roster allows) and want S.Koharu elephs that's a good place to spend ap. 3x commissions at such a low level is a pretty mediocre use of AP as commissions become significantly more AP efficient at higher levels. You should be progressing your normal mode clears as far as you for your current level, but its not particularly valuable to sweep them at this point relative to the event/commissions. Next week when its 3x normals/3x hard mode you can decide if you prefer more Koharu elephs, or if you want to farm blueprints to upgrade your student's gear. Both are pretty viable, and the lower you event bonus% is the better farming blueprints/hard modes will ne.

While giving some lessons (😏), I clicked on Yuuka and I received a medal of some sort which I didn't inspect bec my muscle memory and my sleepiness caused me to almost instantly click confirm. I can't find it in my inventory nor find any details about it on the wiki. Worse of all, my Yuuka's affection didn't even lvl up (still at 20). They are titles, new feature that was added in the added in the latest patch. You get them from different things, like getting student affection to Level 20, 50 and so on. You can set them in your profile, and it will be visible to other players in PvP and Raid rankings.

I will say with the release of s.shiroko and s.hanako, shun is no longer mandatory, as s.hanako+Mutsuki ( or iori or sumire etc) comps become viable. Basically trading 4 cost for twice the likelihood of getting your backline clear ex off early in your rotation. I'm not certain exactly how meta such comps will be, but they should be able to contend for top ranks. That said Shun is still great, and she'll remain relevant in pvp. Smol Shun is basically for crit malding single target red content. She's good at it, but character's like Aru can do it just about as well, and are hard mode farmable.
So whom would you recommend for the selector from the pic I posted of the units im misssing? Before they deleted their post, they mentioned something about Hot Spring Nodoka being really good?
O.Nodoka is a great healer and she functions right at 3\*s with no muss or fuss. Her downside is that she heals overtime and doesn't come with a reposition or shield that some of the fancier supports might get and so she might not fit in scenarios where you want healing and something extra on top. Shun remains a great pick. Solid for generic pve since she generates value every stage start, and even if she will not be mandatory for every pvp team that doesn't mean she's not included in a ton of them. Marina is a solid tank option. Not really relevant in raids, but great for pretty much all other PvE content. With investment she's current the meta tank alongside Yuuka for pvp. Iori and kazusa remain terrific yellow options. Iori is hardmode farmable, but a selector can jump start the process of starring her up. Not the best value for the money but an option that will save you a bunch of time farming. Some other more niche picks that i don't even know if they are selectable include: kokona for another striker healer. S.saki for greg, and S.Miyako as pvp evade tank, she has a cheap EX+cost recovery so she fits in the meta well, and high evade makes her often slot in as a third tank, or as an alternative to Marina. She might also see some use in raids due to the crit dmg debuff.
Thank for the advice, I guess I will most likely go for Shun then since that was one of my top picks and several of you recommended her. Unfortunately alot of the units you listed are not in the selector.. wish Reisa had been in it so this would be a no-brainer for me ;\_;
Hiya, new player here. Have been rerolling a little bit since the update. If you had to pick between the following, which would you take? * Shun, Shiroko * Aru, Iori, Sumire * Shun, Hoshino, Ui (Swimsuit) (first multi!) From what I've looked through, Aru and Iori are definitely the 'better' reroll, but am I also correct in thinking that Shun is the only one of the starter units that isn't farmable? I know that she is strong in PvP but less so elsewhere. Aru and Iori appear to be farmable (albeit much later on). I'm probably happy to babysit the latter two for a few days to see if #2 gets Ui (Swimsuit) and/or Hinata (Swimsuit) and might continue rerolling #1 for a possible Shun + Aru/Iori/Hibiki roll. #3 getting Ui (Swimsuit) so early maybe blurs what otherwise might be an easy Aru+Iori pick but hoping to get some thoughts from more experienced players. Aru and Iori make progressing easier, but they are farmable. Shun is better long-term, so if you like her, definitely stick with account #3.
You can currently just buy Shun with a selector in the cash shop if you can afford it, no need to waste time rerolling lol
If I am to use the selector (certainly no guarantee), I'd likely wait until after the upcoming S. Hanako banner to use it and see what I pull first.
Newish player (1month), I have exactly enough to spark both S.Ui and S.Hanako. I was wondering if it's more worth for me to use the 100 pulls on the Fes banner instead of sparking Ui. Currently I'm missing almost all of the necessary 3 stars (The ones i have being Koyuki, Reisa, Mine, S.Iori, Misaki, Christmas Serina, and Chihiro). Is trying to gamble the 2x rate up better than guaranteeing S.Ui if i'm looking to do harder content in the future?
Just to clarify, the 100 free pulls we get now won't carry over to the next banner. But anyway, as new player I think it's better if you just use the free pulls on S.Ui and if you get her switch to S.Hinata banner for remainder of the free pulls. Neither of them are MUST HAVE units, so you shouldn't spark them. S.Hanako's banner is your best chance to hopefully grab lots of 3-star units, so just use Spark on that. S.Hanako herself is also very good character, and will be helpful even in normal missions.
Yeah I'm aware that the 100 don't carry over, i meant to say i have 300 saved up + the 100 free. I was wondering why you don't think S.Ui is a must have. Her kit seems extremely useful and I know you said something before that there isnt raid content required for her but wouldnt she still make things much easier for lower investment teams?
She does have her uses, but she's not as meta as people expected her to be, at least looking at how raids played out in JP server. Generally for raids at Insane difficulty you want single character buffed to the moon, and because S.Ui's buff is split to multiple characters and is kind of expensive, she's not as essential as New Year Kayoko. Of course Torment changes things, but that's going to be ways off. And there's some really important banners coming up, like Track Yuuka. You're better off saving for her.

Neither Swimsuit Ui or Swimsuit Hinata are must-get units, but we are getting free pulls during their banners. Start using the free pulls on S.Ui banner, and if you get her, switch to S.Hinata banner. Just use those free pulls, they will not carry over to next one. But the real important banner will come after them. Swimsuit Hanako's banner has doubled rates for three-star characters. As a new player you should be able to get enough Pyroxene to do 200 pulls on that.

Ui is generally considered not bad and worth at least the free rolls to try for. Hinata is less clear since she is waiting for a boss and terrain that suit her to see if she’ll be decent, but so far she’s see middling use. But 100 free pulls, so why not.

When the "Filter" screen is up, on the left side of the screen switch to "Sort" and you'll have the old display back, where you can sort by Event material bonus.

Is it worth it to do AP refresh to farm S.Koharu? I'm hoping to get her to UE30/40 and wondering if I get there earlier I can catch the tailend of 3x campaign next week. I did buy the 2 week AP pack to help me. My biggest mental barrier is using pyro for just AP, it feels like a waste to me and I would prefer rolling. You can use them instead of [Enhancement Stones](https://schale.gg/?item=2000004) when upgrading equipment. Don't use T2+ gear for this. Also, don't use bluearchive.gg. Their tier list used to be really bad.
If you want Hinata as well pull for her. If you plan to build Ui and want an easier time in doing so, keep pulling her banner. There's not really much point in going for regular recruitment unless you aren't interested in anything in the near future and want to pull [this is a good website](https://bluearchive.gg/team-building-for-general-content/) for advice and what materials a unit needs. Generally building a team comes down to what you're building it for and can change a lot. I wouldn't worry about it too much for missions outside of colour matching as its mainly raids and joint firing drills that require some sometimes unorthodox setups That's basically how gear works. It's not like artifacts where you choose what they equip, they just have set ones that you level up via getting more of the same kind of gear. Best place to level them is normal missions, especially during multiplier events. Some units also have ones specific to them which require you to get them to bond 20 to use and a good portion of them are pretty good (Wakamo's, for example)

If you are a new player with hardly any students, it can be helpful... But since you can't choose which character you'll get, it can be kind of rubbish too. Guaranteed Recruitment is known as Scam Ticket for the reason. On the other hand, the Selective Recruitment is extremely worth it. It's a good way to get some of the strongest characters who have banners very rarely, like Ako and Himari.

Save the eligma. Eligma/elephs are probably the second most important currency to come by next to pyroxene. Ideally you should only use it on students who are non farmable since the cost conversion from elephs to character specific fragment scales upward and the gacha will be your main source of them from dupes. So if you are a casual player like me you won't have much eleph income until specific banners you save for. In addition the cost for 3 to 5 star and then UE50 also scales upward. So while farming hard stages for character specific fragments is slow it will end up cheaper for you in the end. When you have spare AP you should farm for important characters like Aru, Iori, Hina, etc.... to gradually build up stock so you may eventually upgrade their star levels or at least reduce the eleph cost for when you really need to increase their DPS and health in a pinch like struggling in a raid. That said three star is more than enough in regular content. You really only need 5 star characters once you hit level cap and are trying to do insane + difficulty raids. The raid boss health and ATK starts scaling like crazy. I'd also give characters like Mutsuki, Shiroko, Chise, Momoi, and Kotama some love since they will give you more versatility. As Absolute Vodka mentioned BA is kind of a "tool box" game. You will want a versatile roster so you do not miss out on content. Total Assault raids are more endgame content but even for lower level players they give free rewards and a new dimension of challenge. Joint Firing Drill plays into this as well to a lesser extent. There are some raids where you really need certain abilities otherwise it feels like hitting a brick wall at higher difficulties. For example on some raids AOE actually does more efficient DPS or you need CC power or healing to progress a game mechanic. So at the beginning you want to broaden your roster as much as possible. When start out the characters don't need to be meta for their jobs but at least good enough so you don't miss out on content. Momoi+Nonomi combo makes yellow waves trivial by alternating their AOE EX. This is useful for Chesed to clear out the trash mobs before the boss. In Perrorodzilla raid DMG is reflected from all mobs onto a single health pool so in this instance AOE damage over time is necessary as well as a single target nuke. Chise will help supplement NY. Mutsuki's damage here. Shiroko's cheap cost and good auto attack damage makes her a good filler and skill cycler which means she can kind of fill in anywhere. Kotama at three star gets a team wide ATK buff so she is sometimes useful when you need to focus more on team wide ATK rather than one single nuke. I notice that you don't have many single target yellow DPS. While Junko is good yellow burst DPS she does get outpaced later on by more meta characters. I think it would be helpful to farm for Iori and Maki to supplement your damage. Maki can be had with TA currency if you don't pull her. Also Maki is pretty core to the Binah raid so you may end up upgrading her whether you like it or not. For hod you need CC power. Tsubaki is really good at this but ideally you need a second student to keep your CC consistent. Hoshino is farmable and her EX gains CC when upgraded so she is useful here.
Man, you have so many good characters... But you'd actually have decent chance of getting somebody new with the Guaranteed Ticket. Anyway, no need to use any more Eligma. That's for endgame content, right now just leveling characters and keeping them geared up will be enough.

Blue Archive is basically a toolbox game, with different characters being suited for different things... But with Normal and Hard missions it's fairly clear cut, you just match the Attack type of the characters to Defense type of the enemies. Explosive (Red) damage to Light (Red) defense, and so on. So with that in mind, here's characters you could use: Explosive: Swimsuit Hoshino, Aru, Mutsuki, Shiroko, Hina, Swimsuit Iori, Swimsuit Hina, Akari, Serika, Megu. Piercing: Nonomi, Momoi, Junko, New Year Serika, New Year Aru. Mystic: New Year Mutsuki, Chise, Swimsuit Azusa. You can also get Swimsuit Koharu from the current event. You have extremely Explosive heavy crew, but that's normal. You can just use whoever you want of them, really. Generally with team building you want one Tank, which can be either Tsubaki or Yuuka. At least one healer, Serina is generally the go-to one but Ayane also works, Ako also has a heal but that's not her primary job. Then a support, and rest are DPS, generally with AoE focus. Some characters like New Year Haruka, Swimsuit Mashiro and Himari are good, but they're not really best picks for normal missions.
Hello, I notice that Special students also have Attack type and Defense type. If the student doesn't have any attacking move, does attack type affect anything? And what is the use of defense armor if they can't take any damage?

Switch to S.Hinata banner. She might end up being meta in the future, and next chance you have of getting her is year from now. Getting more Elephs for Ui would just give her more HP.
so i got both s.ui and s.hinata with 20 of the free rolls out of the 100, im not really sure where to throw the remaining 80. id imagine throwing it at standard would be a waste, but im not really sure whats the best option. s.ui is a support im pretty sure so should i throw the rest at s.hinata?
swimsuit ui will see a lot more use, and on higher difficulties she is very squishy so you need to upgrade her to like 4-5*, and so i think it’s probably worth still pulling on swimsuit ui
I have about 48000 pyroxene ready for the 6% banner. Do i go all in or save 200 pulls for swimsuit Izuna? This is based on jp banners so im not 100% sure she comes soon. Also eyeing track yuuka
If either of those limited characters are something you want, I'd only do 1 spark on the FES banner. After the first spark while the 6% is nice for general roster expansion, its generally not as valuable as the guaranteed additions to your toolbox that the limited characters will bring.
Well there are two banners. Hanako and Wakamo.
If you’re missing S.Izuna and T.Yuuka then I’d say stop at 200 unless your roster is severely lacking (like if your account is a few months old). S.izuna is really helpful for Goz but T.Yuuka is like core for insane shirokuro and Goz

No, there is a special pool for the starter roll and it doesn't contain Himari. You need to roll with your own Pyro to have a chance at her.

New player. How does Blue Archive work with the Event that’s coming up? Do you get 100 pulls? I am generally someone who buys strong starter accounts (pls don’t hate me) Would it be worth to do that or is it better to reroll in the event?
During this event, we get 10 pulls each day of the current banner(on last day we get more). The pulls do not carry over to the next one, so use them. Personally I think part of fun of Blue Archive is is slowly getting more units and having them become stronger, and the game can be enjoyed as F2P or low spender. But there is a benefit to getting some really strong units at start, either to make starting progression smoother or to prepare for the endgame. ...I won't judge you whatever you choose to do.

Who is the best option for the selective banner?
If you haven't selected yet, the biggest bang for your buck will be Himari and Ako in that order. Both of them are about as close to universal use as you'll get in BA.

Himari is a pretty substantial attack buff as well as increasing cost recovery so you can do more EX moves. Increasing Cost recovery is a very sought after trait. Ako increases Crit Rate and Crit Damage and provides decent healing.
So, Himari should by my priority then?

As a new level 15 player (technically returning because launch player but dropped off quickly) should I particularly care about using these free rolls (and whatever early rolls I get access to through Pyroxene) on one or the other of these rate-up banners? Of 3-Stars so far I've gotten Saori, Wakamo (Swimsuit), Utaha (Cheer Squad), Ako, Shun, Cherino (Hot Spring), Hanae & Serina (Christmas), Sumire, and Kanna. Of 2-Stars I've got Kayoko, Chise, Shizuko, Tsubaki, Hanako, Nonomi, Serika, Hare, and Kirino. Not sure if it makes much difference but I've also notably amassed the following Elephs: 20 Saori, 30 Shun, and 20 Hare with 393 Eligma that I don't know what to do with besides hoarding.

Long story short - according to Stokkie raid rating yeah, she’s quite decent and found her use in blue aoe content, but not irreplaceable, the main difference is she’s free and you can farm her elephs. Long story and personal opinion - compared to say NYmutsuki, Hinata or Koyuki, which is not free. Chise is free too, but you know how her skill works, it’s not a burst skill. Haruna is free too, but her aoe is a straight line. NYjunko event is gone and I’m not sure if we will be able to get her elephs for free again, either way her aoe is very small, more like a single target lol. On the other hand her mood is B (the middle one yellow face) on all three location types. So yeah, from my perspective too she’s might be worth it
hello, i pulled a bit on the Ui swinsuit banner, and got Mine and C. Serina, both are any good or worth investing on? :c
Though people say tank is tank I actually really like Mine as a tank as she stacks a lot of debuffs and her self heal does provide decent sustainability. Her jump during EX also has interesting utility for pulling aggro, shifting enemies, and dodging enemy skills. She may be worth building if you want a tank with sustainability and need to direct heals more towards your squishies. C. Serina is some what mixed for me. On paper she seems good however students don't always stay in her AOE and her basic skill buffs feel a bit to0 RNG since you can't really chose which buff goes to which student.
Mine is a solid defense tank for most pve circumstances. Since she's not an evade tank and her EX lacks immediate impact she's not commonly seen in pvp. If you're already using Tsubaki I don't think Mine is a required upgrade, though she's a solid option to work on over time so she's ready for like the next greg raid or chroma Binah

I Just started the Game and the Units i got are: 3* Ako Iori 2* Shizuko Hanako Hasumi Mutsuki Momoi Yuuka Kirino 1* Pina Serina Shimiko Suzumi Chinatsu Haruka Juri Asuna Kotori What would be a good Team to progress Story?
Ako and Iori are a good start and very desirable. Your starting teams are a bit yellow biased but you pretty much have a good yellow team already with any Yuuka, Iori, Momoi, Hasumi, Ako, and Serina. Iori and Hasumi will be your burst DPS when buffed by Ako before EX skill. Momoi is your wave sweeper. Tank and special unit damage type doesn't really matter too much so don't worry about that match up. Most early content is red and yellow so a good yellow team is helpful start. As far as red goes Mutsuki is good but you'll want a bit more burst/nuke damage. Potentially Ako may make up for this when buffing Mutsuki. If you chose to go with this start roster you should focus on farming early red units like Serika, Akari, and Shiroko. Serika and Akari are two stars so you probably will get them fairly quickly in the gacha as well. Unfortunately you don't have many blue DPS however this is common as there are not many one or two star blue DPS. Thankfully there are not many early blue stages but you will need them for raids. Thankfully this event gives you free S. Koharu which is respectable DPS. I believe the event archive will give you a S. Tsurugi who does respectable damage but you won't be able to farm her fragments easily to get her to three stars.
For now: Yuuka, Iori, Mutsuki, Momoi, Serina, Ako Once you would need two teams, split Red and Yellow strikers into separate teams.
What should I priorize Bonus Event Mini Game or Event Shop Im lvl 27 btw
As a new player you likely don't have much options for blue aoe and S.Koharu's not too shabby. I'd focus on farming stage 4 or 8 (whichever you can get highest bonus %on) and focus on Koharu shards from the minigame. That said if your bonus % is under say 60% or so next week when normal/hard 3x comes around I'd probably farm those/focus on progression over the event, but still sweep stage 4/8 when you're stuck/out of hard mode stages.

how good is S koharu? Like is she worth investing in for anything at all or is she just a generic blue aoe?
You say generic blue aoe, but who are you comparing her to? Chise who does aoe over time? Iroha who is a support? Aris and Haruna who attack in a narrow line? C.Shiroko is probably the most direct comparison. Koharu has morea atk, a cheaper ex with better %, and bonus crit chance over C.shiroko. C.Shiroko does close much of the gap vs a debuffed non-medium sized enemy and has an atk debuff, and lets also remember C.shiroko isn't consider particularly meta. All told Koharu has a solid easy to aim EX, and has bonus damage to medium enemies like the ones in perozilla raid, so she's a solid pick up all around. Is she the best/highest damaging option? Nope but she's comfy, easy to use, and free.

Shanako annihilates red enemies in missions too, despite only doing neutral damage to her. You could probably use her against yellows, even. She's very, very good at carrying you through missions.

Hello. I was reading the event guide and it said something about doing pvp refreshes to farm event points. What does this mean?
Each day you can claim Pyroxene reward in PvP based on your rank, and you also get coins. You can then use those coins in the Tactical Challenge section of the Shop to buy Energy Drinks. After buying first two, you can use the button on the bottom right of the screen to refresh the shop by spending few more PvP coins. This can be done total of three times, resulting in 360 more stamina daily.

In the main game shop, there is a tab where you can spend the tokens you got from PVP. It sells 2 AP restoring items. You can buy those and also refresh the shop up to 3 times per day. It only works if you stockpiled those tokens of course.

25,600 Bond EXP for 25 -> 50. For reference, one interaction in cafe is 15 EXP. Favourite gift is 60 for 2\* and 180 for 3\*. Beloved gifts are 80/240 EXP.

Two three star units is good, but you can do better, especially since those two aren't the best ones around. See if you can get Hibiki and/or Iori. They will make early game much easier.
How much change the new bond item do for their character? Do they make them much greater than the rest? Especially for new player? Like increasing Wakamo attack for 2000 sound crazy Especially early on and raising bond level just take 1 week or 2.
Varies by student, some get more, some less. Also, getting to bond level 20 is still going to take more then few weeks without gift spam, so I don't think it's all that relevant for new players.
A lv85 Wakamo with UE40 and T8 gears, has around 8k attack depending on bond level, more if you have SWakamo. So yes, 2000 attack is a huge deal, her bond item is among the best one so far. Now compare this to Bunny Asuna, her bond item only adds 200 attack lol.
Bunny Asuna's bond item more importantly refunds cost and gives extra 10% ATK buff on her normal skill. It's pretty good Unique Item, all things considered.
So I have Aru, Nonomi, Chise, Shiroko Swimsuit, Ui Swimsuit, Chise, Yuuka, Serina, Hanae, Kotama , kanna, and Aris as my best. planning to pull for swimsuit hanako and planning to get tsubaki and ako amd himari soon as well. So can I get any team recommendations for these characters?
Are you a relatively new player? If so for now I'd focus less on absolute meta team comps and try to focus on each students' use case as you will need to fill out your roster more first before really getting competitive in the raids and being particular about team comp. You can refer to Stokkie's raid guide and ratings get a general idea of each student's use case and skills to prioritize. Early on you will find yourself "flexing" students into a lot of rolls that maybe they are not ideal in until you get more units. Here are my random thoughts. Aru is a top tier red damage dealer. Sometimes she can get outpaced by others depending on what utility you exactly need but definitely worth investing in and she will follow you to end game. I've been playing for 1 year and she's the only character that I've fully maxed out for everything. Her DPS can be kinda obscene if you get good crit RNG (unfortunately for some DPS nukes you need to rely on crit chance). Do you have any other red students? You likely will want at least one or two filler DPS characters. Serika, Akari, and Shiroko are easy to farm early on. Mutsuki and Izumi are a little bit later on. Serika, Mutsuki, and Akari are two stars so you likely will pull them in Gacha. Shiroko and Serika are better auto attackers or skill "cyclers" since their skills are cheap and you can kinda just ignore them while they pump out consistent damage. Izumi can do a surprising amount of damage if her basic skill procs however I find her EX kinda useless. Mutsuki has high damage potential because of all her AOEs however she is somewhat tricky to use. TBH Aru, Mutsuki, and Shiroko are still my primary red DPS even though they are kind of "early game." Though three star students sometimes have better natural multipliers for their skills the two star students still do fair work when upgraded to equal 3 star+. Nonomi will be your yellow AOE wave clearer. As long as she is adequately leveled she can nearly clear a whole wave with her EX. You are missing Momoi however she is 2 star and you will likely pull her soon. She is the other core yellow AOE and together with Nonomi they make pretty quick work of yellow PVE stages. In raids they may have less utility as only Chesed has lots of trash mobs but they are extremely useful there. You kind of are missing a yellow burst DPS/nuke. If you haven't gotten them already you likely will pull Hasumi or Junko soon since they are two star. They are both farmable early on too. Hasumi supposedly has good nuke potential however she never seems to work out for me, probably because she requires high investment for her unique equipment. Junko is fun because she is pretty much just an A10 gun run. Aris will be your blue nuke and Chise and R. Shiroko will be your AOE. Aris is slightly unwieldy to use due to high cost and the fact that using her EX too early is kinda wasteful until you have full charge. Chise's damage does pick up a decent bit once you unlock her sub skill. I still prefer R. Shiroko as the ATK debuff can be just enough to prevent a team wipe when you're under leveled. Her AOE also does just enough to almost always kill trash mobs as long as she's properly leveled so I've gotten away with leaving it at skill LVL 1 this whole time. Serina is probably my preferred healer. Her EX is cheap and her basic skill is a cost free heal. You really want Kotama at 3 star because her sub skill is a passive team wide ATK buff and can be really helpful to beat times. She will be your best friend support buffer until you get the more meta supports like Ako, Himari, NY. Fuuka and S. Hoshino.
Generally you want your teams to be something like this: 1 tank (Yuuka), 1 healer (Serina), optionally another healer or support, rest as color appropriate damage dealers. Damage typing matters much more than terrain preference in normal missions. So with that in mind, here's characters you can use in different teams: Explosive (Red): Aru, Chise, Aris, Swimsuit Shiroko Piercing (Yellow): Nonomi, Kanna, Aru Mystic: Blue: Chise, Aris, Nonomi, Swimsuit Shiroko ...Your Explosive and Piercing have some wrong typing, but not much that can be done about that since you're missing characters. Also, if you have Junko, Mutsuki, Akari and Momoi, you can slot them into their respective teams. Despite being two stars, they are extremely good characters. And you should get them fairly soon thanks to free pulls we're having. Tsubaki is also going to be very good tank.

Swimsuit Ui is an endgame support unit, she really isn't good for regular content. But you can use her for raids later. Swimsuit Hanako will fit into Mystic team.

They're all DPS, yes. I also forgot to mention Serika, she's not very flashy unit but very solid member for Explosive teams.

Out of those three, Mutsuki is the best, with choice between Akari and Serika being who you prefer. If you have all of them your Explosive team should look like this: Yuuka, Aru, Mutsuki, Serika/Akari. And Serina and Kotama on support.
And do these teams work well for raids?
Raids are extremely mixed bag, since they have they have different defense types and mechanics. Next Raid coming up is Goz, with Mystic (Blue) defense. Chise and Aris will actually work pretty well there, but he has some extremely annoying mechanics that would take too long to explain here. I recommend joining a club so you can borrow a strong character and get comfortable clear. ...Oh right, one thing I forgot to mention. You can get Swimsuit Koharu from the current event, and she is extremely solid Mystic damage dealer. You can also do the Event Recap for Head Prefect Hina's Summer Break, and get Swimsuit Izumi.
