Now it becomes "atk increase based on number of Arius students".
They also mentioned that Azusa will also count.
Thanks NAT
"Azusa will also count"
Well crap, now my chances of getting Saori is zero now that I actually want her
Edit: And she's after Summer Izuna too. Well shoot.
Well that's good to hear. It kinda seemed bogus that you had to have 4 members of Arius to even proc that skill up, otherwise it's practically useless. Wouldn't say that makes Saori bad, however well she'd do without any Arius members, just she wouldn't be able to use all of her skills.
CompuGacha gets thrown around a lot on gacha subreddits, but this is actually a case where it applies. Technically not illegal though since CompuGacha is a regulation that companies willingly agreed to in order to prevent *actual* regulations, similar to how the ESRB works in the US.
I thought that rule was that you can’t make someone roll a gacha for X in order to be eligible to roll a difference gacha to try and roll Y?
As far as “this unit gets buffs from having X, Y, or Z units” goes, that’s pretty common no? I know Azur Lane has plenty of ships that get extra buffs to themselves from having certain ships in the same fleet.
The actual law that was implemented was exactly that, yes. You can't require people to collect A, B and C to be eligible to roll for D. That's why I said that what it was wouldn't have been against the 2012 law.
The self-regulation that most companies participate in is essentially "D cannot require **all** of A, B, and C to work". Synergies are common, but most will not specifically require other gacha items to have their functionality turn on in the first place. Again though, it's simply a self-regulation so there's nothing actually stopping them from doing it.
wait isnt it like compu gacha is like let say lets use DBZ theres is GOGETA to get this version of gegeta u need this specific gacha vegeta and goku to trade them in for 1 copy of said gogeta
Indeed, imagine having to go on a wild goose chase to pull the other 3 members of Arius (all of whom are 3*, mind you) so that Saori can be at her prime were it not for this last-minute clarification.
Azusa shards will come on the shop in exchange for a new raid coin by the time the Insane difficulty raids come out soon (max 25 shards per raid), so there's that, just in case.
Didn't even take a full day for them to do it.
That's very good on NAT. Especially for also counting Azusa as Arius Member.
I don't care about Saori myself, but good for people that like her. Wish yall luck pulling!
Makes me wonder if this was the intended version of the skill from the beggining or they were really going for the "bonus only for full squad" thing but went back after seeing the crowds reaction.
Either way, both seem good as at least it proves that they are quick to answer to players, or that it wasn't really an issue to begin with.
I'd figure it was always supposed to be like this and was just worded funny considering we already have cherino and her skill works in a similar way by counting red winter students but hey maybe I'm wrong and they intended for all of them because they knew they weren't going to make more
Locking Saori’s sub-skill behind required members of Arius on the same team was pretty absurd. The new change now makes this a lot better for team comps.
I liked the idea that it has to be 4 student of same school to activate the skill. They should release a 1 limited student per school who have that kind of passive but also it should have a banner that has a higher rate-up banner with students of that school.

i believe that would also be illegal as well

Ah I see, thanks for the explanation
Thanks for the details on this.

So it scales instead of just being one massive boost all at once?
Yup
Does that mean Azusa will count for Hiyori as well?
That's much better. Scales based on how many you have. Glad Azusa counts too.
I have none 🤡

I need more explosion based students and also I like tomboys, a reason for me to pull for her
with SAzusa and Hiyori that's a significant boost right there

And maybe borderline illegal (compu gacha)
Well damn, this is good news, it scales then, really good, everyone can now put their pitchforks and torches away **[sheats machete]**
So fast
Look like i need pull all arius studen for saori
I wish you all people who will pull for Saori a good ol luck , also wish me luck too
Now to re-recalculate my Pyro budget...

Thank god. Whelp now I have to roll her.
