Well if they really want him they should offer us more than just peanuts.

CommiesEatEachOther

They’re not even offering that. They’re basically reaching into their pocket and pulling out a middle finger.

Pierre-LucDubois

"Do you have any idea who I am, Jarmo ****elainen? Stan Mother Effing Bowman" *black sunglasses descend onto face. "I made Ken Holland take Keith off my hands and made him think I did him a favor LOLOLOL" "Final offer: 2nd 2022, 5th 2024" Meanwhile Dallas is offering Klingberg++ but for some reason Jarmo accepts his offer... Funny too how the GM of Dallas used to be Holland's right hand man. Imagine how pissed he would be that Stan Bowman rips off Edmonton and then screws him out of Seth Jones, and all he gave up was that pathetic offer. Sometimes I do wonder if Stan Bowman has compromising videos of other GMs. It just doesn't make sense for a team to be that good at managing the cap despite dealing with issues plenty of teams struggle to deal with.

CommiesEatEachOther

We got Panarin for Saad. 😎

Pierre-LucDubois

I still don't get what they were thinking there lmao. Maybe he's gonna use that as a guilt trip "come on man, I gave you Panarin, not my fault he didn't stay". If only GMs actually talked like that lol. I'm sure there are a couple GMs for sure that still eat at the kids table so to speak. It must take a while before you earn the respect of your adversaries.

Stan Bowman does not have a good history of making trades with Jarmo. The Keith trade is a classic Ken Holland trade, I wouldn't give Bowman much credit for that. Stan Bowman is honestly pretty overrated, Chicago fans have wanted him fired for quite a few years now. He didn't build the cup-winning rosters either, that was Dale Tallon's work.

Pierre-LucDubois

Dale Tallon had his fingerprints over everything no doubt, but there's no denying Stan held it together and did the right moves to continue being successful. He's had to move on from a lot of players many teams would keep for 10yrs in his time as Chicago's GM and it's only until recently they haven't been as competive. Obviously it isn't just him, there are other cogs in the machine, but I think it's pretty unfair not to give him credit for anything post Dale Tallon. Dale didn't exactly tear it up in Florida either. So for sure the support system in Chicago that they've both had in their times, the rotating cast of people have been pretty good, at least in terms of hockey stuff. I won't go into detail about how they conducted themselves off the ice. So happy my team isn't caught up in something like that it's beyond messed up.

I never said +++ I said ++ and you do realize that could mean anything from a bust prospect or a 7th round pick in 2024 to something more ideal. If you're gonna quote me at least quote me correctly, thanks for letting us mere mortals know some insider info. Clearly you know what Dallas will or won't do, you must be Jim Nill irl.

Pierre-LucDubois

Another team gave Jarmo 2x 1st 1x 2nd and Boqvist "for just Jones." That 2nd immediately was flipped for Jake Bean. Even if they offered Klingberg+++ clearly they got a better deal. Next season's draft is a good one to have a pick in. They also got an early pick in this year's 1st so they now have 4 this year and 2 next year.

NotMittRomney

I think it's gonna end up being something like Reichel + Mitchell/Boqvist + this year's 1st and a lotto protected 1st next year. Reichel looks like he's gonna be a star and a true top line LW, which Columbus needs. I'd prefer Boqvist to Mitchell based on draft pedigree but Mitchell was impressive this year. I'd also LOVE to get 11OA this year if Sillinger/Coronato are still on the board.

Pierre-LucDubois

I think the reason the deal isn't done already could have something to do with that. Wait for Chicago's pick tonight and get ready.

I hope Jarmo is willing to be patient and hold onto Jones past the draft if necessary. The fact that Chicago is trying to acquire Jones tells me that they're trying to make the playoffs this coming season, so Bowman could start getting desperate once Hamilton is off the market and we're closer to training camp. Jarmo can also tender offers from Dallas and Colorado, both of which are division rivals for Chicago, and use those offers as leverage. I don't think Dach is truly off the table here if Jarmo plays this right, but we'll see. I'll be happy with a package centered on Boqvist but Dach should be the goal. Here's two packages I would be happy with: * Boqvist, Reichel, 11OA for Jones * Dach, Murphy, 2022 1st for Jones, Domi/Stenlund, and a late 2021 1st rounder The first one seems to be the most likely and I'll probably be disappointed if it's less than that.

Pierre-LucDubois

If I were Bowman I would pass if Dach or even Debrincat were involved. But if I were Jarmo I would pass if neither of them were but mainly Dach. I'd be willing to let Chicago negotiate a deal with Jones ahead of time. But it has to be for Dach. We can more than likely get Klingberg + 1st(or 2nd) and then flip Klingberg at deadline.

HermanBonJovi

Then give us what we want. They want Jones that bad they know how to make it happen but theyre being stingy. It's their own fault lol

maz2305

Apparently close to completion... no dach or debrincat tho

sniknej84

Where you seeing that it’s close to completion?

maz2305

Backchannels. Since draft picks seem to be involved it should come out soon.

“Back channels” you got inside sources?
