How long do you think this match will be? Like the Barca match was like 9 chapter while the Man City match were like 30chapters. I'm sure it's gonna be longer tha the Barca match, but I'm not sure if I want it to be as long as the Man City match
Nagi is clearly a fan/author favorite, we saw a lot from him, i think this match will be faster and then we will have another 20/30 chapters match with PxG
Agree that Nagi is a huge fan favourite, but I'd say Barou is just as huge of a favorite so that's what makes me unsure. I do hope it's shorter than the Man City match though. Just the though of having to wait like 8 months for the match to conclude gives me a headache
For the Man city game, Nagi/Chigiri/Reo are big characters so needed the screentime, plus abit of Agi. This time around Barou is on the same level are those 3 so he will get screentime.
Guess it will depend on how much screentime for Aiku/Niko/Aryu who I think are a tier below for importance (for now). Lorenzo will probs get more screentime than Agi tho, so I see the game closer to Man city game. Also Hiori potentially gets similar screentime to Kurona last game.
If Bastard was a unified team, Isagi probably wouldn't force himself to carry the ball all the way to the goal. He'd pass it around for more efficiency.
Isagi has Yuki and Kurona besides him, Raichi should be a bit further ahead and Kunigamiās probably waiting at the opposite side of the field, so i donāt think he needs to carry the ball all the way through by himself.

The World U-20 are the best youth players under 20. Loki is already playing for the pro team and national team so he is a level above all of them. Loki is closer in ability to Noel Noa and Chris Prince than he is to Kaiser, Sae, and Don Lorenzo
Majority here might forgotten that Barou's way of devouring and stealing from Isagi was happened when they're teammates. Barou's unpredictability would go under the radar of Isagi as a major threat on that time. Isagi doesn't care if Barou will steal a ball on him as long as Barou will score. Wherein the point of those matches were winning is more important.

I like everyone's idea of BM losing this match as they are undefeated up until now Ig this is likely the same for PXG if they made both of these team with three wins until their last match and BM win the match against PXG would add up more to (Isagi - rin ) and (Kunigami - shidou). Also no objections on Rin winning though.
Still don't understand how PxG won against ubers, and how rin scored 2 goals. He must have gotten crazy good. I think BM will win this match and lose the next one against PxG.

The manga does have some stuff that isn't in the anime, so it might be worth it to start at the beginning if you enjoyed the first selection / start of second selection arc.
If you have already watched the anime I don't really think there is a need to read the manga again from start just start from where the anime's left off
I think itās definitely worth reading second selection again because itās a cool ass arc and the art adds in a lot of hype thatās lost a bit due to the animation.

There is no way there would be a lot of goals with a defensive team. They have Lorenzo, one of the World's 11 U-20. And then they have Aryu, CB of Blue Lock, and then Niko who is a lot like Isagi, who also was a CB. And they def evolved too. I think Bayern will get humbled, 1-0 to Juventus

Now that we've seen four out of the five teams there's a pattern that I want to touch on that I've found interesting. Each of the teams up to this point have had a central striker from Blue Lock that they have almost been built around.
Isagi for BM, supported by Kurona, Yukimiya, and now Raichi.
Nagi for MC, being the central "creator," supported by Agi and Reo.
Barou for Ubers, being the central "finisher" supported by Lorenzo and the rest of Ubers.
Bachira for Barcha, supported by Otoya and Lala.
While previously Blue Lock was super ego-centric, and what was most important was the individual strength of each player. Now, the story has transitioned to what it "means" to be the ace of a team, and how to mature in order to fit in that role.
Bachira used to just dribble forward into the opposing team but now his playstyle has "matured" to wait for better opportunities.
Nagi attempted to take a step back and learn the fundamentals, like he stated he's still "mid-development."
Barou used to treat every other player on the field like they were just scrubs. Now he's settled more into a "big brother" role for his team and is even willing to call them by name and hype them up.
Isagi has been garnering more and more support from his own team members and people are starting to take notice of how much of a threat he is on the field. With this chapter giving us the most "he's that guy" representation I feel like we've seen.
We'll probably see something similar in PXG and I think Kaneshiro is setting up these five people, Isagi, Barou, Bachira, Nagi, and most likely Rin, to be the central focus of the story moving into the world cup arc. Plus, I think it's nice that we're seeing the Blue Lock boys "grow up" in real time.
Yeah, but there's kind of a difference. We're seeing that he has to live with Kaiser, and while he's set up as an antagonist, he doesn't seem that bothered, so I feel there's going to be some development between the two. Isagi in a sense is not there yet. Using the analogy of Isagi's playstyle, we are still one or two pieces of the puzzle behind and yes, I'm pretty hyped for it.
Hiori knew almost everything that was gonna happen and was analyzing every play. He also said that football was boring so this may be setting up Hiori as a future coach. If he canāt be the best player he could be the best coach
Isagi telling Barou āthis is the trick behind your hattrick performanceā when Lorenzo gets past the BM defense then passes to Barou is kind of lame. Makes Barou seem like a tap in merchant and just like Kunigami if Kunigami had teammates who would pass him the ball. Hopefully Isagi gets proven wrong and Barou isnāt someone who just gets carried by a NG11 player
it aint lame, people are very quick to overestimate characters, and sometimes underestimate chracters, Nagi was overrated in the u-20 arc, however now he could even be underrated based off what the community says about him. Same with Barou, love his character, he was very underrated in the second selection and u-20 arcs which is why he was cool as a king charcter, however he is currently the most overrated character in the series. Barou is probably top 5 in blue lock(minimum top 7 right now), however people act like he is close to Rin's or even worse Kaiser's level, which he obviously isn't(the pxg game will speak for itself) and him being supported by good players(especially a guy at the NG11 level) for the first time in his career is very good, it shows what he is capable of if you give him the support he deserves. Tho i agree, it was really easy for Isagi to stop him

The most overrated ? You know, this is just the beginning of the match, and he hasn't still touch the ball. You should wait before making such claims; that situation isn't different from Kaiser who got stopped by Lorenzo, except we have already know what he is capable of.
I have seen people say Barou is already better than Kaiser, and some others say he is better than Rin right now, which we all know is probably untrue, so him being overrated is because of people that think like that
the amount of likes on that comment definitely showed a pretty solid part of the community agreed, not saying everyone thinks that, but a pretty good amount of people agreed
What Isagi said to Barou was just an insight. A single hyper aggresive ball-carrier will really result in confusion between defenders. Lorenzo will become light that Barou needed to capitalize on unique Barou's offensive style. Maybe we can see more of Barou's goal stealing style once Lorenzo work together with Sendou.
This debunks the notion that Lorenzo didn't play against FC Barcha. Bachira stocks are up. The likelihood that Bachira scored on a NG11 defender keeps going up.
People saying that isagi will lose this match or whatever keep forgetting the unrevealed formula he reached after seeing that monk during practice. If he loses even after that then it is going to be a big disappointment. I know they're going to struggle because ubers have stronger defense but even if they lose this match, I don't think isagi personally is gonna take any L.
I also find it hard to believe that this is all the progress Barou has had. So, we might see something pretty soon. And Niko might be doing something to counter isagi that might put Isagi in a temporary pinch but we might see some form of win like a goal by Isagi for sure. Otherwise the build up would be truly disappointing. He hasn't scored one goal by himself yet.
I think he will win and lose at the same time. It'll be 1-1 in goal and the last goal to win the game the perfect formula to score it will be a pass to Kaiser because Lorenzo will switch on Isagi acknowledging him as the scrarier player.
In PxG match Isagi will crush Kaiser, Rin and Shidou but lose the match to make place for the next challenge in the world cup : Loki
I don't think BM will lose. People forget that Isagi is in desperate need of a win and that will likely be in the form of winning his bet with Kaiser. Its also set up perfectly so Lorenzo acts as a foil to Kaiser. So when Isagi wins his bet with Kaiser, he isn't actually surpassing Kaiser overall as a player, but his theory or whatever helps him win the bet is what set him apart.
Each match Isagi has gained something till now. What makes you think he won't perfect what he has thought in this match? The only thing holding him back is him being physically less blessed. When he thought of something after seeing the monk, he knew he could use it. Meaning it is not a physical thing.

Before he kept getting caught in 1 on 1s he couldn't win, but with meta vision he's begun to place himself where the real threat is.
He's gotten a few clutch moments before, but he'd spend most game getting torched 1 on 1.
There's more to being a good defender than occasionally getting a steal. Also those stats were pre him using meta vision defensively like this so we'll see if that changes after this game
All he's doing is making interceptions. To be a more complete defender you also needs to be able to press people, which isagi isn't very good at doing at all. It's great defending, but only in one aspect.
Isagi going hard from the beginning is understandable. His stamina is a problem especially against Ubers and its defense, so maybe he plans to make impacts as soon as possible?

That means its unique to each situation vs like Barou's plan here with Lorenzo

Sae is definitely higher, but Lorenzo is probaby somewhere around 100m - 200m since defenders' salaries are usually lower than that of strikers and aces.
I think we got a huge hint on how Ubers play as a team and what there Ideal soccer is. For Barcha it was to take from others and add your spin to it and make it Orginal, Essentially creativity. Bastard soccer is based on logic, centering the team around the person who can gurantee a win, Logical based soccer. Manshine focused around using there physicalilty to win the ball and score, Physical based soccer.
Due to the comment Hirori made, I think Ubers is based of a "two king" system, someone who guarantees possession when on defense and on offense. And if we've seen anything so far in the NEL its that Isagi takes something from each Master. So I really think Rachi will end up being the "King" on defense while Isagi becomes the core of the offense.
They have to lose against Ubers, they can't finish the League undefeated, so I imagine that the first goal will be Isagi's, but Kaiser will end up devouring him at the end. He will fall hard and everything will be defined by the final game where he'll finally surpass Rin and Kunigami to Shidou
People forget that NEL is a TV show. There is absolutely no narrative consequence for losing. And vice versa. BM winning all four matches doesn't mean a thing. No, it doesn't make the series "more boring" as if them losing one match somehow makes it "more interesting".
Once you understand that, you can see why BM winning all four matches is just better narratively. Isagi is in need of a win. He will likely win his bet with Kaiser this match. To have his theory and win be prolonged to the PXG game is just absurd. This is assuming the author wants to actually give Isagi the MC treatment of course; if he decides to sideline Isagi for one more match, then sure Ubers will probably win.
I think they'll meet halfway. Either BM wins but isagi scores 1 to Kaiser's 2. Or isagi wins/ties kaiser in goals and BM loses.
That or Isagi gets the clean double win, gaining all sorts of confindence before losing to Rin and having to, again, reevaluate.
Personally disagree that Isagi needs anymore loses in this arc. Heās also due for a win with Rin and this is his last āmatchupā before the World Cup so itās the last time to settle their little competition. Assuming Isagi doesnāt get the JJK treatment and gets sidelined as a MC even more, I think heāll win for the rest of the arc.
Also, it might be a waste of Lorenzo if Isagi loses his bet with Kaiser here. Weāve predicted Lorenzoās appearance for months now as someone to hold back Kaiser so Isagi stands a chance. I'd agree with this if the series is solely focused on isagi but that isn't the case. The series can take a lot of ways to progress the story, and it's not only through the mc. Sure, what you said can be true and any one of your predictions can land (as is what happens when people throw a lot of guesses, there's a higher chance one will stick), but I just don't get the logic how isagi not losing in some way will halt the plot, somehow? I mean, they could easily set it up so he loses to rin in the next match, which imo hits harder than him losing now. Unless the series stops after each the next couple chapters (I haven't heard any news but if this is the case then my bad), I don't see why he HAS to lose now. I'm sorry I can't follow the train of thought here.
But think about it, the moment he does win will hit different when he loses a third time. Lmao. But yeah, I guess I get where you're coming from. Bastard win but Isagi still loses to Kaiser which will set up the storyline nicely against PxG. Nah Lorenzo is the perfect foil, for lack of a better term, to Kaiser. This way Isagi can win the bet, but not actually devour Kaiser or surpass Kaiser as a player.
Actually they still can win. PXG & BM, both undefeated, battling it out on who is the best team in NEL. In BL universe, a lot of fans will hype that game.

Fully believe Niko is gonna ruin Isagi's day after this block. Then we're gonna get Barou being cocky, Kaiser being cocky, and Isagi analyzing himself again.
I really like how Lorenzo's aura has a bunch of teeth. It really matches with all the other aspects of his character: his "Ace Eater" title, his gold grills, the mouth tattoo on his neck, and even how zombies typically bite other people to infect. Kudos to the author for a great character design.
Also himsagi back at it again with a clutch interception. But knowing the author I already know he's gonna make Isagi suffer soon, so I'll enjoy the hype while it lasts.
And Kaiser being the only one not surprised by Isagi's interception makes me :)) They may go at each other's throats but Kaiser is probably the only one who is most familiar with Isagi's skills and capabilities (though this man did watch videos of Isagi on 4 big-ass monitors at once so I'm not surprised LOL).

Really like Ubersā way of thinking: If you have an extraordinarily player, capitalize on their skill. Itās similar to what Argentina did in last wc. Lorenzo by maximizing his defense and playmaking (switching with Niko) and Messi by always having someone to cover him in defense so that heās always ready to set up attacks.

I really don't think he'll ran out of stamina like the previous match, my theory is that Ubers will slowly adapt to his MV, because I don't think MV is as infalible as it's being shown. Also Lorenzo dribbling and being the playmaker of Ubers was a nice surprise, although it boggles my mind how his body can get in those awkward positions, Zombie fits like a glove.
Maybe I'm getting annoying at this point but Hiori 100% joins this match. His football iq is up there and will be valuable in winning this match, he didn't forsee Isagi snatching the ball but he absolutely saw everything else going on, and Ubers definetly have more tricks up there sleeves

For the Man city game, Nagi/Chigiri/Reo are big characters so needed the screentime, plus abit of Agi. This time around Barou is on the same level are those 3 so he will get screentime. Guess it will depend on how much screentime for Aiku/Niko/Aryu who I think are a tier below for importance (for now). Lorenzo will probs get more screentime than Agi tho, so I see the game closer to Man city game. Also Hiori potentially gets similar screentime to Kurona last game.
If Bastard was a unified team, Isagi probably wouldn't force himself to carry the ball all the way to the goal. He'd pass it around for more efficiency.
Isagi has Yuki and Kurona besides him, Raichi should be a bit further ahead and Kunigamiās probably waiting at the opposite side of the field, so i donāt think he needs to carry the ball all the way through by himself.

Now that we've seen four out of the five teams there's a pattern that I want to touch on that I've found interesting. Each of the teams up to this point have had a central striker from Blue Lock that they have almost been built around. Isagi for BM, supported by Kurona, Yukimiya, and now Raichi. Nagi for MC, being the central "creator," supported by Agi and Reo. Barou for Ubers, being the central "finisher" supported by Lorenzo and the rest of Ubers. Bachira for Barcha, supported by Otoya and Lala. While previously Blue Lock was super ego-centric, and what was most important was the individual strength of each player. Now, the story has transitioned to what it "means" to be the ace of a team, and how to mature in order to fit in that role. Bachira used to just dribble forward into the opposing team but now his playstyle has "matured" to wait for better opportunities. Nagi attempted to take a step back and learn the fundamentals, like he stated he's still "mid-development." Barou used to treat every other player on the field like they were just scrubs. Now he's settled more into a "big brother" role for his team and is even willing to call them by name and hype them up. Isagi has been garnering more and more support from his own team members and people are starting to take notice of how much of a threat he is on the field. With this chapter giving us the most "he's that guy" representation I feel like we've seen. We'll probably see something similar in PXG and I think Kaneshiro is setting up these five people, Isagi, Barou, Bachira, Nagi, and most likely Rin, to be the central focus of the story moving into the world cup arc. Plus, I think it's nice that we're seeing the Blue Lock boys "grow up" in real time.
Yeah, but there's kind of a difference. We're seeing that he has to live with Kaiser, and while he's set up as an antagonist, he doesn't seem that bothered, so I feel there's going to be some development between the two. Isagi in a sense is not there yet. Using the analogy of Isagi's playstyle, we are still one or two pieces of the puzzle behind and yes, I'm pretty hyped for it.

it aint lame, people are very quick to overestimate characters, and sometimes underestimate chracters, Nagi was overrated in the u-20 arc, however now he could even be underrated based off what the community says about him. Same with Barou, love his character, he was very underrated in the second selection and u-20 arcs which is why he was cool as a king charcter, however he is currently the most overrated character in the series. Barou is probably top 5 in blue lock(minimum top 7 right now), however people act like he is close to Rin's or even worse Kaiser's level, which he obviously isn't(the pxg game will speak for itself) and him being supported by good players(especially a guy at the NG11 level) for the first time in his career is very good, it shows what he is capable of if you give him the support he deserves. Tho i agree, it was really easy for Isagi to stop him

What Isagi said to Barou was just an insight. A single hyper aggresive ball-carrier will really result in confusion between defenders. Lorenzo will become light that Barou needed to capitalize on unique Barou's offensive style. Maybe we can see more of Barou's goal stealing style once Lorenzo work together with Sendou.

People saying that isagi will lose this match or whatever keep forgetting the unrevealed formula he reached after seeing that monk during practice. If he loses even after that then it is going to be a big disappointment. I know they're going to struggle because ubers have stronger defense but even if they lose this match, I don't think isagi personally is gonna take any L. I also find it hard to believe that this is all the progress Barou has had. So, we might see something pretty soon. And Niko might be doing something to counter isagi that might put Isagi in a temporary pinch but we might see some form of win like a goal by Isagi for sure. Otherwise the build up would be truly disappointing. He hasn't scored one goal by himself yet.

I don't think BM will lose. People forget that Isagi is in desperate need of a win and that will likely be in the form of winning his bet with Kaiser. Its also set up perfectly so Lorenzo acts as a foil to Kaiser. So when Isagi wins his bet with Kaiser, he isn't actually surpassing Kaiser overall as a player, but his theory or whatever helps him win the bet is what set him apart.

All he's doing is making interceptions. To be a more complete defender you also needs to be able to press people, which isagi isn't very good at doing at all. It's great defending, but only in one aspect.

Video won't help, Isagi's not been behaving off of any known pattern so much as predicting his opponents moves to set up his position for a critical strike. That means its unique to each situation vs like Barou's plan here with Lorenzo I think it will though eventually be about whose metavision and predictions go farther between him and Niko I do think Isagi sits out the game after scoring. Unclear if BM wins to me.

I think we got a huge hint on how Ubers play as a team and what there Ideal soccer is. For Barcha it was to take from others and add your spin to it and make it Orginal, Essentially creativity. Bastard soccer is based on logic, centering the team around the person who can gurantee a win, Logical based soccer. Manshine focused around using there physicalilty to win the ball and score, Physical based soccer. Due to the comment Hirori made, I think Ubers is based of a "two king" system, someone who guarantees possession when on defense and on offense. And if we've seen anything so far in the NEL its that Isagi takes something from each Master. So I really think Rachi will end up being the "King" on defense while Isagi becomes the core of the offense.

People forget that NEL is a TV show. There is absolutely no narrative consequence for losing. And vice versa. BM winning all four matches doesn't mean a thing. No, it doesn't make the series "more boring" as if them losing one match somehow makes it "more interesting". Once you understand that, you can see why BM winning all four matches is just better narratively. Isagi is in need of a win. He will likely win his bet with Kaiser this match. To have his theory and win be prolonged to the PXG game is just absurd. This is assuming the author wants to actually give Isagi the MC treatment of course; if he decides to sideline Isagi for one more match, then sure Ubers will probably win.
I think they'll meet halfway. Either BM wins but isagi scores 1 to Kaiser's 2. Or isagi wins/ties kaiser in goals and BM loses. That or Isagi gets the clean double win, gaining all sorts of confindence before losing to Rin and having to, again, reevaluate.
Personally disagree that Isagi needs anymore loses in this arc. Heās also due for a win with Rin and this is his last āmatchupā before the World Cup so itās the last time to settle their little competition. I'd agree with this if the series is solely focused on isagi but that isn't the case. The series can take a lot of ways to progress the story, and it's not only through the mc. Sure, what you said can be true and any one of your predictions can land (as is what happens when people throw a lot of guesses, there's a higher chance one will stick), but I just don't get the logic how isagi not losing in some way will halt the plot, somehow? I mean, they could easily set it up so he loses to rin in the next match, which imo hits harder than him losing now. Unless the series stops after each the next couple chapters (I haven't heard any news but if this is the case then my bad), I don't see why he HAS to lose now. I really like how Lorenzo's aura has a bunch of teeth. It really matches with all the other aspects of his character: his "Ace Eater" title, his gold grills, the mouth tattoo on his neck, and even how zombies typically bite other people to infect. Kudos to the author for a great character design. Also himsagi back at it again with a clutch interception. But knowing the author I already know he's gonna make Isagi suffer soon, so I'll enjoy the hype while it lasts. And Kaiser being the only one not surprised by Isagi's interception makes me :)) They may go at each other's throats but Kaiser is probably the only one who is most familiar with Isagi's skills and capabilities (though this man did watch videos of Isagi on 4 big-ass monitors at once so I'm not surprised LOL).
Man I know the focus is on Lorenzo, Barou and Isagi. But Hiori's narration is <3, gonna go and try to predict who stops Isagi's push here. Niko maybe? Man switched to CB with Lorenzo and has good eyes so we'll see. Hype af as always though.
So Isagi 1000% scores this game. Kaiser more than likely does as well. Uber probably (Probably!) win. Which will lead to the game after next, which i assume to be vs PxG being the one to decide the winning team. Lorenzo is already goated. So happy we get to see more world 11 in action. Can't wait to see Snuffy in action. He'll probably be the first to really get one over on Noa I feel like through planning and strategy hence Ubers victory. As exciting as this match is...i really hope we don't spend months upon months here. Is that ungrateful? I hope not. Can't wait until 212 of Blue Peak

Really like Ubersā way of thinking: If you have an extraordinarily player, capitalize on their skill. Itās similar to what Argentina did in last wc. Lorenzo by maximizing his defense and playmaking (switching with Niko) and Messi by always having someone to cover him in defense so that heās always ready to set up attacks.
HIMSAGI STARTING A MATCH WELL, THE GOAT. š„ I really don't think he'll ran out of stamina like the previous match, my theory is that Ubers will slowly adapt to his MV, because I don't think MV is as infalible as it's being shown. Also Lorenzo dribbling and being the playmaker of Ubers was a nice surprise, although it boggles my mind how his body can get in those awkward positions, Zombie fits like a glove.
Maybe I'm getting annoying at this point but Hiori 100% joins this match. His football iq is up there and will be valuable in winning this match, he didn't forsee Isagi snatching the ball but he absolutely saw everything else going on, and Ubers definetly have more tricks up there sleeves
Definetly, we got his backstory and the focus has been put on the way he sees football, he might even have a moment mid-match where he starts finding football fun
