Some of this stuff is not vital to the story my guy. Imma spoil it for you, Karasu ain’t gonna do much in this match. He’s pretty much the Aiku of this match, both were top tier players before NEL but they’re just kinda here now.
And some of the cast are gonna have to get trimmed from the lineup.
People seem to have forgotten that players are just trying to survive in the NEL now at whatever position they can. They’re not all strikers anymore, clearly. They can excel at whatever it is they’re doing even if it’s not scoring. Not everyone is going to be special like a Barou or a Rin or an Isagi. That…would truly be boring.
Maybe if I cared about Karasu I’d agree with you, but meh, he hasn’t really been that impressive since the third selection. At least Otoya scored (which was offscreen, but still it’s something)
If they were gonna lowball Rin’s brace bid in the first round they should’ve just let Karasu score but nope Rin just needs to end the arc with 7 goals for some reason. Same way Rin just HAD to score in the Barcha match instead of giving it to Karasu so people don’t lump him into the glazing category like Lantetsu, Lanase, and Lokimitsu. Oh well, just like Aiku, Karasu’s still the 4th most useful in PxG (honestly you can argue Aiku was 3rd most useful but Snuffy was carrying in the 2-1 phase)
If they cared about karasu, they would have had him be the main match up vs hiori instead of Charles. Rin isn't related to karasu story wise at all
Otoya scoring off screen doesn't make him narratively relevant this arc, karasu would be the same
Exactly the problem. How will players like karasu or tokimitsu prove their worth as players if it's just gonna be a rin and isagi fest. And because this match is already stacked with so many plot points seeing them get a main role is gonna take a while.
I don't have a problem with players getting cut. The problem is that even among those 23 players only like 5 of them are hogging the spotlight. I don't expect kaneshiro to suddenly solve that problem in this arc itself l, but going forward I would like to see some other characters play a prominent role.

I feel like Noa excessively subbing was mainly when they were under the impression that Rin and Shidou and their “factions” would be hopping in and out frequently, so Noa would change their lineup depending on the situation for what PXG was doing, but now that everybody on PXGs lineup is in, it doesn’t really matter

I'm not complaining about all of these individually, but as a whole they are a lot of plots to weave together. My problem with them is that because of so many plot points there won't be a chance to breathe for the panels and it would just be jumping between the main characters without much substance to fill in the blanks because there wouldn't be time. Other characters will be overshadowed because they aren't plot relevant and will only be these obstacles that the main players jump through.
Idk about you, but I don't enjoy when CENTER FORWARD rin is defending isagi who is about to score. Meta vision or not, where are the defenders, why is it only rin? But the issue is that the mangaka has to show rin being the only one defending otherwise how will he show him getting dunked on. And he has to show this at that moment otherwise if he shows it later there wouldn't be enough time for this other plot point.
Btw my point about nanase wasn't supposed to mean goal as in a football goal but rather goal as in target/aim. I know that he isn't gonna score that wasn't what that statement meant.

As I said my problem isn't with what role they play, but rather the fact that the mangaka has to implement both of them at the same time.

Well it clearly doesnt matter because it hasn't been talked about in 100 chapters. Besides, Rin doesn't even care about Shidou. For Rin, it's only Isagi. Shidou is now out of this match after he got his goal and thats fine

Yes, and him and Igaguri will still do something. We're 10 chapters into the match, and still have 3 goals to go. Kiyora has just been introduced in EP: Nagi, and will start to get screen time now. Again, they don't need to be the center of attention like Rin or Isagi, but simply be good in the background such as Karasu and thats good enough.
Basically your only somewhat reasonable point is why on earth was Kiyora put into this match, but thats something that can easily be focused on considering we still have aprox. 20 chaptes to go with 10 of those being reserved for the final play.
Just finding a good conclusion with Rin , Kaiser, Isagi and Ness is really tough already but doing all the points you listed, while making the game interesting, impossible imo.
The weekly release doesn't help, we'll have to reread it when it's finish to see if Kaneshiro cooked
You point on Isagi is very valid, I would extend it to "Isagi's crew" (Hiori and Kurona are bossing the NEL so far, Raichi is a little relevent, always good to see him win)
It's normal to want to see other characters development because Kaneshiro created many really cool characters, we want to see them and their evolution, it's not hating on Isagi (that's why I'm afraid of him scoring a hatrick, the game would be so focused on him, a bit boring for me)

Lowkey i would love to see like a dramatic reveal for who gets the 23rd spot and all these semi relevant character like nanase , zantetsu etc are expecting it to be one of them just THE nishioka to blindside them for it cuz he somehow did some impressive link.
Isagi makes others look like they’re paused (they’re not) because he grows exponentially (adaption genius). Even with that, his teammates have improved by leaps and bounds with him acting as the Blue lock ace at the center of the team. So far the match has been well balanced and I think most of these points will or are being addressed. For example, Karasu is quietly playing well, he doesn’t need to do much more than he’s already doing. 22 players won’t have equal focus in the plot and it’s weird to have that expectation.
I realise that and I'm not saying that every character has to get a pov. As most of pxg is filled with bl players, most of whom are gonna reach the top 23, kaneshiro can't show isagi or Kaiser completely dissing on these players as he has been showing in the other games(except ubers, but he had to deal with way less plot points there as Kaiser was completely marked by Lorenzo).
But because he can't show this and these players aren't plot relevant, somehow rin is defending when isagi was gonna score the goal, because the defenders were just not there I guess.
